This book had some good guidelines but I just looked at the date it was published - 2016. Whoa.... in two short years the wedding industry, brides and grooms planning very their way, and the addition of bloggers and social media sites dedicated to weddings, has exploded in thousands of different directions. This book could not begin to cover all there is to cover. But, I did pick up some tidbits or at least, some, hmmmm’s, let me look into that! So for what it’s worth, you can never be too prepared to plan THE wedding:)
This guide provided basic information on the role of the mother of the bride and tips on planning engagement parties, wedding invitations, flowers, reception, etc. With a nod to present day circumstances, it also touches on the use of social media, how to word invitations and seat divorced parents. A useful book, if you have no idea where to start when helping your daughter plan a wedding.
