Luca knows when to grovel, “I made you breakfast. Waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs… I was just gonna make your cereal, even though it’s just mainly milk, just didn’t seem like enough of an effort.” My words fall out in a jumble..." I really liked tuis book, I loved Luca.

I love how Haley Jenner starts there books with a bang straight into the drama and chemistry within the first chapter gets me hooked every time. This book had so many laughable moments and saying that it had me LOL. I will most likely disappoint some readers to say this is the second book of the Leaves of a Maple I have read, I loved Archer so much when the opportunity to read this book as an ARC come up I could not say no. I do have Jake sitting on my kindle and a signed copy of my shelf so rest assure that I will be reading the whole series in the near future. Even though I have not read the other two books I still found I could follower the backstory very well but I would recommend that you read from the start to get the whole effect of these wonderful characters that you will fall in love with. The girls know how to mix the humour, lust, heroes, villains, sexual innuendo with the sweet and loving romance we all crave to read. This is the second book by Haley Jenner I have read this week; my book boyfriends are in overdrive I might just need to read a sweet Christian book to balance myself out for the week ha-ha. . I highly recommend this book that I received as an ARC that I have decided to write my honest and voluntary review of.
Luca is a stoic and brooding character that has you interested from the start and his relationship with the other boys of Leaves of a Maple is electric at times. I am sure I will learn more as I go back to the other books. Frankie is a caring, wild and free characters that soon fits well with the other characters of this series. They are both anti-relationship with a history that will affect their future when it comes to the opposite sex.
Luca is a stoic and brooding character that has you interested from the start and his relationship with the other boys of Leaves of a Maple is electric at times. Wow! I absolutely LOVE Haley Jenner and am even more in love with her Leaves of a Maple series. Luca doesn't disappoint and I almost love him more than Archer. Almost.
I love how the book literally (and figuratively) starts off with a bang. Haley Jenner sure knows how to start a book. And then we, as readers, quickly fall in love with the idea of Luca and Frankie together. Too bad neither of them realizes how good they could be, as more than just fuck buddies.
These two co-authors are so funny. This wasn't a romantic comedy, but I will admit, I busted out laughing a time or two. I'm looking at you, Thor. With your giant hammer.
Probably my favorite thing about this series as a whole, and especially with this book, is that with each book, we get a lot of the other characters. I never felt like I had to say goodbye to each character at the ends of their respective books. And how Luca originally wasn't in the inner circle with Archer, Jake, Bennett, and Toby (please let us get a Toby book! He's hysterical!), he finds his new family with all of them, leaving us readers with first row access to all the men and their wives.
Man, why do these guys gotta be fictional? Because if they weren't, I'm telling you, I'd make a Luca and Archer sandwich. Call it "the Lucher" or "the Arca".

I’m glad Luca has found his family this is what is so great about this series the group they welcome you with open arms and generally care about you.
It does take Luca awhile to get his head out of ass.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from this book did not disappoint. It’s hot, sexy, and hits me in all of the right places. Luca and Frankie are a perfect match. I can’t wait for more from this amazing duo!

I devour each one of this writers books fiercely, i wait with anticipation for them to release another and Luca is just another masterpiece to their collection, I love how each character in this series has their own clear voice and you hear them in every book, it feels like you are watching this incredible group of friends through a window wishing you could be apart of it. I laughed in this book (snap for the Harry Potter references) and I didn’t think they could make me cry in every book but I had tears rolling down my face yet again, both from the sadness and happiness. Luca is everything I expected him to be strong, cheeky and sexy as hell and Frankie is her own special character, I fell in love with her, hell I want to be her! I didn’t know how it would all resolve but again these writers know how to bring everything back together in the most spectacular way! My heart feels full again, like you have watched the series finale of your favorite show and all seems right in the world. I would definitely listen to the play list they make on Spotify, I really feel the emotion through the music, you can tell the authors write to music. I can’t wait for Trey and all he has to offer!! You babes rock my book world!

I was reaching for the tissues on numerous occasions during this emotional tale which for me is a true indication of an epic read.

This series gets better with every book. The bro stance between Archer and him was kinda epic. I love all the insight on Luca, Frankie why they were the way they are. I thought Archer rocked in this story lovely moments featuring him.

Luca St. Kelly had the most incredible sex of his life a year ago with a mysterious girl in a bar but he never got her name or number and then had to leave for Arizona and his sick mother.
Frankie Walker is trying to heal from her past and a broken relationship with her ex-fiancé, Brandon. Now she is back in her hometown of Carnation with her sister, Darci, and surrounded by her friends and family. She is working 3 jobs but knows it is best to keep herself busy in order to move on and heal her heart.
When Luca returns to Carnation he discovers unexpectedly that his best friend Jake has sublet his apartment and now there is a girl in his shirt climbing into his bed. Yet it is not just any girl.
Both Luca and Frankie are healing from heartbreak but from the ashes can the two form a strong bond or are they destined to crash and burn?
This is such a good series and every book just keeps getting stronger and draws you in more and more to the lives of these characters!
Luca was such a mystery and you only knew bits and pieces of his life but you knew something big must have happened for him to have such a cynical view on love. I was curious to see what happened and it took awhile and it was a shock with everything else that had happened but it definitely explained a few things and words that were said.
Frankie was such a great character! She had such spunk and I loved learning more about her. I was shocked when everything was revealed about her past and I understood why she was so hesitant to believe in relationships and love again.
There were so many tense moments and huge blow ups between Luca and Frankie that I was never 100% sure what was going to happen. When a few key moments happened with both the pasts of Luca and Frankie I was totally freaking out as I didn’t see things coming!
The end totally starting improving until almost the very end when things got really freaky and I was super nervous!!
Loved how everything turned out!!

I binge read those books in a three day period and who needed sleep when I started Luka. OH. MY. GOD. Luca and Frankie, both have been hurt and have reasons to not want a relationship. I will admit I wasn’t sure if Frankie would be the best fit for Luca but I was so very wrong. She was perfect for him. Luca could be a massive asshole at times but then he could be so sweet the next you can’t help love his character.
Angst, drama, emotional moments as well as some hot as hell sex all make Luca a book that I couldn’t put down. I am in such a book hangover that I don’t know when I will ever get out of it. Haley Jenner has a new fan in this book whore and I am already wanting the next book right now. Luca, as well as the other books in the series are all must reads and need to be at the top of your TBR lists!

I never have enough great things to say about Haley Jenner. I have loved each and every book.
Luca lives up to his Viking nick name. He is stoic and brooding. Frankie is the girl you wish you were, wild and free. There was an instant attraction both had a reason to fight. One running from love and the other deciding to never love again.
This book takes you through all of your emotions. And I loved every minute of it! You also get to catch up with the rest of the gang as their presence is heavy in the book.❤️
“I want to be someone’s oxygen.”
That line had my heart. Haley Jenner poured their hearts and souls into beautiful words and emotions. You will not regret one minute of getting lost in Luca and Frankie.

First Archer is mine..then comes Luca !! Luca is Everything I want in a book boyfriend..this VIKING is described to be so SEXY and looks like THOR shoulder length blond hair..captivating blue eyes and the kind of body that woman swoon over...but let me tell you his personality is what drew him to me!!
The banter, the chemistry between him and Frankie omg that had me fanning myself more than once and their complicated love story was full of angst and keep me on my toes!!
Frankie is sexy, funny and the younger sister of Darci, who we meet in the first book of the series!! Like Luca she is broken, from previous relationships that were unhealthy for them both..but when you put these two in a room together Jesus Christ the fireworks!!

I want to move to Carnation. I want to spend my days in Darci’s Coffee House and my nights at The Shallow. This is how invested you get when you read one of Haley Jenner’s Maple Men Series books.
Luca is a beautiful story of overcoming demoralizing past loves. Leaving broken souls desperate to never endure the pain again. Not looking for someone, who can show them a tomorrow. Shear magnetism introduced them (and you will understand why when you get to know the dirty talking Viking) and good old fate forced them together.
“Opening my eyes, I give in to my need to see him. To check the open thoughts painted across his beautiful face. His emotions mirror mine. He’s caught between his desires and his conscience. Torn apart by the dilemma of his head and heart.”
The very gorgeous Frankie was the perfect heroine. I loved her attitude to everything that was thrown her way. She handled herself extremely well; I loved her crazy nature. So many funny scenes in this book had me laughing out loud. There are some real characters in this book; they are like old friends, family even. Luca feels the same he wants to be part of this family, the family you choose.
The cost of having such strong friendships comes the devastation when things go desperately wrong and then tears were falling hard, hoping and praying for the perfect outcome.

EEEEK! I am so excited about this one! Luca is a highly anticipated book for me personally. I have loved Luca from book one. Luca is book four of the Leaves of Maple series. These books are interconnected and should be read together to get the full effect.
I knew Luca’s book would be amazing. I mean Luca is the playboy of the series. He is flirty and fun. No girl has yet to tame him. So for him to finally to get his own book and to pair him up with Frankie was perfect. These two characters were perfect together.
Frankie is a little spitfire. I love her sassy attitude and her ability to stick up for herself. She has so many layers to her that I loved learning about. Then you have Luca. I mean I knew Luca had his own layers. How could I not? The playboy always has more to him than meets the eye. This book proves that.
The heat between these two was amazing. I loved watching them get to know each other. The sass from Frankie mixed with the cocky personality of Luca set the pages on fire. The heat in all of these books have been amazing.
The writing style of this book is great. The pace was steady. The story is told from a dual point of view. I really liked how this story had a similar feel to the others in the series, but was also its own book. It can stand on it’s own and really give the others a run for their money.
Overall, this was a great book. I really enjoyed the storyline and characters. I was super excited for Luca and I was not disappointed. I would recommend this book to others.

I knew Luca’s book would be amazing. I mean Luca is the playboy of the series. He is flirty and fun. No girl has yet to tame him. So for him to finally to get his own book and to pair him up with Frankie was perfect. These two characters were perfect together.
Frankie is a little spitfire. I love her sassy attitude and her ability to stick up for herself. She has so many layers to her that I loved learning about. Then you have Luca. I mean I knew Luca had his own layers. How could I not? The playboy always has more to him than meets the eye. This book proves that.
The heat between these two was amazing. I loved watching them get to know each other. The sass from Frankie mixed with the cocky personality of Luca set the pages on fire. The heat in all of these books have been amazing.
The writing style of this book is great. The pace was steady. The story is told from a dual point of view. I really liked how this story had a similar feel to the others in the series, but was also its own book. It can stand on it’s own and really give the others a run for their money.
Overall, this was a great book. I really enjoyed the storyline and characters. I was super excited for Luca and I was not disappointed. I would recommend this book to others.

Let me start by saying....I'm obsessed with these two authors. Haley Jenner is the perfect combo of two ladies that write brilliantly together. I don't think I've ever read books written by two people done so seamlessly and with perfection.
I fell in love with these characters in the first books of this series and that love somehow grew more with this one. (I still can't believe this book wasn't supposed to happen..what?!?!) I'm IN love with Luca and want to be besties with Frankie. I know I say that with all of these books, but these characters are written so flawlessly that you just love them all. These two are so closed off, and they have both been hurt and are determined to not let that happen again, no matter what. Too bad they can't control what's meant to be....thankfully.
This book had everything! It made me cry, want to punch people, want to cheer them on, made me laugh, smile, and cry some more. It had fights, (that have been books in the making and were ahhhmazing..hello Archer and his temper), love, hurt, family, EVERYTHING! I think my favorite thing about these books, and this series, is that sometimes family that we chose is better than family that is given to us, and sometimes it's the perfect blend of the two that make for a lifetime of perfection. As Luca says, "Found that family ain’t who you get given. They’re the people you choose to surround yourself with."

Somehow, I missed the notification that this book was out until I saw the release of the boxset. I have NO idea how I missed it because I have been waiting for Luca's story for what feels like forever. It wasn't but considering the moment that I discovered this writing duo and this series I binge read them faster than just about anything else that I have ever read. It is THAT good. Now, I digress, This book was even better than I had been expecting. How is that even possible?
Luca, sweet Lawd, this man. His mouth, his broken damaged parts, and his instant combustible smoldering connection with Frankie. And speaking of Frankie, this girl was crazy but in all the right ways, not in the sleep upside down batcrap sort of way. She was sweet, she, too, was broken, but holy hell was she a dynamic force. These two truly were the epitome of serendipitous. And steam? sweet holy hell. This is one time that I would have been happy to have even MORE of it. The story was perfectly balanced with appearances of the previous characters that I have come to love so much.
I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing writing duo. I cannot tell where one leaves off and the other starts. I just know that they are magic. So many amazing quotes in this story, (and no, even though I am dirty birdy, they all were not sexual) that touched on my soul. This is a story that showcases the reason that love is so powerful. Even though it can hurt, it's healing powers are even stronger but ONLY if someone is willing to take the risk.

I have to admit that I was a bit worried going into this book due to the fact that I’d gotten slightly disappointed with the last. But I am happy to report that I loved it. I loved Luca and Frankie, together and separately. There was drama, angst, humor, laid back times, sexy times, whatever you’re looking for, it had it. And I enjoyed every second of it.
Both Luca and Frankie had so many issues. They weren’t really interested in getting the help they needed as much as just feeling good in the moment. Their pasts come to haunt them once or twice, creating even more drama in the process. But they do get their happy ending and it’s epic. I loved every second of it. They’re both mental, but in the best of ways if that makes any sense haha

And who would’ve thought that Archer would become the insightful one everywhere you turned? There’s also a big Luca/Archer incident that you don’t wanna miss. It’s good, so good.

This is such a good series and every book just keeps getting stronger and draws you in more and more to the lives of these characters!
Luca was such a mystery and you only knew bits and pieces of his life but you knew something big must have happened for him to have such a cynical view on love. I was curious to see what happened and it took awhile and it was a shock with everything else that had happened but it definitely explained a few things and words that were said.
Frankie was such a great character! She had such spunk and I loved learning more about her. I was shocked when everything was revealed about her past and I understood why she was so hesitant to believe in relationships and love again.
There were so many tense moments and huge blow ups between Luca and Frankie that I was never 100% sure what was going to happen. When a few key moments happened with both the pasts of Luca and Frankie I was totally freaking out as I didn’t see things coming!
The end totally starting improving until almost the very end when things got really freaky and I was super nervous!!
Loved how everything turned out!!

His hands were getting harder to keep off of her, when she noticed him across the bar watching her. She used him as a decoy and a distraction to get out of her head. A very memorable hookup in a seedy bar, no names exchanged with everything left up to serendipity. Imagine his surprise returning home after burying his mum to find her in his unit, wearing his shirt and not much more. Luca is not looking for anything serious he’s been there done that. Francesca is a free spirit who has come home to heal her broken heart and forget her past. They agree to at least be friends for the sake of their family and other friends.
This instalment of The Leaves of a Maple revisits all of the fabulous characters we’ve come to love and hate depending on the circumstance. Once again we have lots of angst, plenty of heat and Archer eating humble pie. I absolutely adore this series and want to go back in time a few years and live with the folk of Carnation. One thing is for certain they always have your back.

What a beautiful story about second chances. Finding love after getting badly burned is not always easy so when you finally decide to take the plunge it can be the best decision.
Both Frankie and Luca are scorned lovers who don't want to take a chance on love- with each other, but their chemistry is undeniable from the moment they meet.
Once you find the one that makes you breathe again you can't help but feel as though they were meant to be part of your life. This is the feeling I got from the very beginning of their story. The push and pull was great and added some great dialogue between them. Haley Jenner has an act for creating such a great group of characters; you can't help but want them to find their happy ending. This story is no different. If you are looking for a story with depth, heart, and all around great writing this series and book are right up your alley. Awesome!

Worth the wait!
I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for Frankie and Luca’s story, seems like forever. It was so worth it though. Their passion and chemistry is off the charts from page one! He’s not what I expected but hey he is. He’s a huge heart buried beneath hurt and devastation caused by rejection and neglect.
Frankie is more than what I ever thought she’d be. Broken to her core she still so easily yet unknowingly has her heart opened to love Luca in such an unrelenting way. It’s just a matter of time and place, serendipity, if they actually get it together. Archer is my number one book boyfriend from Haley Jenner, however Luca has come extremely close to Archer’s coveted place.

Emotional and beautiful
Oh my god 😍😍😍😭😭😭 awww I loved the crap outta this book! Frankie and Luca are just 🤗🤗🤗🤗 so freaking amazing! Frankie is a hilarious crazy girl and I love it! What she went through was heartbreaking and I’m so glad she found Luca when she did! Poor Luca and his past was so sad, it’s no wonder he was closed off and bitter. But dang was he sexy! Their struggles were so angsty and emotional but I mean, come on, it’s this gang so what can you expect! Lol I loved seeing them all together again and even though the end almost gave me a heart attack, it couldn’t of turned out more beautiful! 💕💕

This duo has amazed me again !!!! All the feels ... All the feels.. First let me say this family of friends are the definition of “ride or die” I love them all. Luca our broken Viking God... Frankie our ball busting bada$$ .... Fate doesn’t work on our time, it happens when it’s meant to happen. Is it always an easy ride? Absolutely not , but it’s always worth it... I cried happy tears... I cried ugly sad tears... I laughed a ton.... Frankie puts up this huge front that reminds me so much of the old me . She’s all smiles while she’s slowly dying inside... They both work hard to keep their feelings buried deep down, but when it’s meant to be , well it’s gonna happen no matter what....

Ahhh, my heart. This series has been an emotional roller coaster, and with each book I thought I had found a new book boyfriend, but Luca.....there's just something about him!
The Haley Jenner girls have a way with words -( which is how I ended up buying this book before the rest of the series - I mean the cover - it's so pretty!!) and just like a cat with its prey , they toy with the emotions to keep the reader hooked. It's like being on a book rollercoaster - all the enjoyment without the feeling of wanting to vomit!!
