Fast moving story of three guys who love to game the system. Quirky genius Josh Kellems has a propulsion theory for space travel that’s been rejected by his scientific peers until he meets Tim Stewart, a NASA engineer thrown away when NASA went private. Financed by Tim’s wealthy cousin, Al, the trio befuddles Homeland Security as well as Chinese and Russian agents while they secretly develop the engine. Wickedly clever, they lead them around in circles until they have to involve the Feds in order to finish the rocket and leave Earth. Unexpected and unknown dangers await them when they leave Earth and accidentally exceed the speed of light, casting them into The Realm of Time. Weird events and sights make for confusion and nervous times until a strange figure tells them they have screwed up the universe and the space-time continuum and must leave without destroying a single grain of the sands of time. Back on Earth, even more strange events occur and are increasingly bizarre the longer the trio is trapped within The Realm. How they escape The Realm and their tumultuous attempt to return to Earth, save the universe and restore the space-time continuum make for a surprising finish.
