Learn German: More than 100 didactic texts to learn and improve your German

Rate this book
After the great success of the first Learn German-book

and all the lovely feedback I got from all over the world

I decided to write an advanced learner's edition for the people

who have worked through the first book and want to take their German to the next level.

The book aims to help you to improve your grammar and deepen your vocabulary.

Each topic has the goal to teach you specific vocabulary so that it gets easier for you to talk about a variety of the topics.

Each text will help you to improve and develop your feeling of the language.

The texts are short. Therefore you can analyze, study and understand them in approximately 20 minutes.

This book will feel to you like a walk through the topics, the vocabulary and the grammar of the German language.

And when you arrive at the end of the walk you will already know quite a lot of German!

The book is aimed at learners who completed the first Learn German-book mentioned above or who have a good intermediate level.

We are using the book in all our classes.

We teach at a university as well as in groups and in private classes.

All our students are very satisfied with the help our books provide to them.

The best that I could find so far in order to improve my German. I think it does exactly what it is supposed to do for its level (around B1, I would say): it starts with generic and useful topics and then it covers some short narrative stories (fairy tales and mistery stories) and general texts about different subjects. The stories are not very long and they are good enough to keep the interest of the reader until the end. With this book I got the feeling that my German is that good that I have to keep reading a story until the end even though I have to keep reading while stepping out of the subway, for instance. I will continue with this series, I find it quite useful.

On the whole a good book for German learning,, however, you need to get past some of the early business oriented passages, but things improve. There is a curious mix of easy passages interleaved with those with more demands on your vocabulary. You need a dictionary, on line or physical, as there is no glossary in the book. However, the book does achieve what it sets out to do, and is recommended.
