➦This was my first book by Emma Hart and I have to admit that I very much enjoy her writing style. I did, however, have trouble finishing this book. I made it to about 80% and eventually I realized that I no longer was invested in the characters. Well, bummer.
➦The hero of this novel is a son of the richest man in town and is known for his bad reputation. He discards women left and right and now people are giving him the stink eye.
➦So his daddy brings in a journalist to write a column about his son in hopes of salvaging family's reputation. And the journalist is our heroine, who is back in town to help her pregnant sister.
➦These two main characters have history. They used to be close back in high school. He was a popular guy who always protected a little geeky girl. Until she just left town right after graduation. And she's holding a grudge. Big time. Why does she hate him so much?
➦As they start working together on the whole newspaper column thing they reconnect. The hero shows another side of him that he apparently hides from everyone else and the heroine finally reveals why she hates him oh so much.
➦Emma Hart definitely knows how to write a steamy scene. Those where, actually, working for me really well. The hero starts out as a total asshole:
"I'm an asshole, but make no mistake --I'm the asshole who'll give you the best damn fuck of your life. Now if you'll excuse me," he said, adjusting his pants. "I'm going to take a shower and imagine tour undoubtedly tight little pussy is around my dick instead of my own hand."
➦What didn't work for me, however, was the believability of his character. I really don't want to give any spoilers, I will just say that once he started showing the heroine some parts of himself that he has been hiding from everyone else a lot of eye rolling happened on my end. I just simply didn't buy it.
➦I also thought the whole "holding the grudge for 8 years" was a bit over the top. I imagine a lot of teenagers can over-dramatize and over-react but you'd think that once they grow up and develop into adulthood they would be able to look back at some events of their life, evaluate, and may be let stuff go? I know it's fiction and all, but it was just hard to connect with the story because of multiple factors.
➦If you are a fan of enemies to lovers and "loved you since childhood" type of stories you might enjoy this novel. In any way, you be the judge. :) I will definitely read more of Emma Hart's novels, I especially am interested in reading some of her romcoms, since I am a big fan of those.

You ever have one of those moments where a book has every ingredient that you typically enjoy but yet dislike it for whatever reason? This book was my moment. It had everything that I normally crave in romance....
Hero that's a mix of alphahole and unrepentant playboy?
Check!
Heroine that's sassy and full of sarcasm and snark?
Check!
Second chance romance?
Check!
Hate/Lust vibes?
Check and double check!
So where did it all go south for me? In the execution of it, unfortunately.
I felt no connection to the MCs or their romance. NONE. Here are two grown adults that behave more like teenagers than twenty somethings. The hero was not endearing to me in the least. He's supposed to be a playboy/manwhore, but he acted like a giant man-child. Nothing attractive about that to me. Mix in a misunderstanding that lasted years and then stretched over the majority of the book and you've now lost me.
The big secret that the reader is teased with for the duration of the story? I'm sad to say that I found it lackluster and anticlimactic. It was, for lack of a better word, lame. I just didn't buy into it. I felt like everything was being told to me, but I wasn't seeing it. I felt zero connection to the story and the characters. I felt zero connection to their romance. The antagonism between them would usually hit all of my yes buttons, but in the case here, they just drove me nuts.
I appreciate what the author tried to do with this story, but sadly it just didn't work for me. Now that's not to say that it won't work for you, because different strokes, right? Beyond the things that bothered me, you can clearly see that Emma Hart is a talented author that knows how to write a sex scene like nobody's business. And even while I didn't enjoy parts of it, there were still plenty that I did like. The banter was one of them.
So read it and judge for yourself. Just because it didn't work for this picky reader, doesn't mean you won't end up loving it.

Eight years ago Lani left her hometown in Florida because her best friend hurt her irrevocably. Today she is a well known freelance journalist with both serious and gossip articles under her belt. She is back in town for her Grandmother's funeral and she'll be damned if she went out of her way to meet with Brett Walker, bad boy extraordinaire, man-ho, and heir to the Walker fortune. When she has a chance run-in with him she knows the boy she used to love is gone. Instead there is a snarky scapegrace who puts everything into making her furious. Unfortunately she has to write an article about Brett that is supposed to make him look in a favorable light.
When his father and grandfather tell him to either clean up his act or lose his part of the inheritance Brett doesn't have a choice to work with the woman who used to be his best friend. Who hurt him so badly when she left without saying a word. Today he gets a kick out of making her mad and it doesn't hurt that she has grown into a beautiful woman with plenty of backbone and snark. He is determined to get her into his bed but life, as usual, has different ideas. The more he spends time with her the more he realizes that he doesn't want her to leave again. And Lani? She starts seeing the man behind the facade. But can she forgive him what he did eight years ago?
I was intrigued by the blurb and it was refreshing to see an actually clothed man on the cover instead a naked chest. Not that I'm complaining about those but when every book you've read in the past has those you notice the ones who take a different approach. But I digress.
Casanova had everything that should have been an amazing book. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations. Yes, I did enjoy parts of it. For one there is the writing, which I found to be really good. The snark in it drew me in and I had a couple of laugh out loud moments. Emma Hart's writing style definitely resonates with me.
However. The characters in this book, and I mean pretty much all of them, acted as if they were still teenagers. Even the 80+ year old aunt.
Can you imagine holding on to a grudge and being bitter for 8 years? For something a boy you were in love with said when he was 17, 18 years old? I can't. Well, Lani did and the weird thing, the one thing that drove me bonkers that she told the hero's sister but not the one person who could make it right. The first 65% of the book Lani acted mostly bitchy and bitter and while I did admire her backbone I just didn't like her approach of the actual issue.
Brett also acted like a loon for the first half of the book. He didn't leave out a single occasion to bait Lani and make her mad. While he was childish too, though, I still liked him as a person. He had a sweet side to him that came through the farther you got into the story but the mischievous guy was still there.
When all the secrets came to light I did a doubletake. I couldn't believe that this was what all the hoopla was about. A couple of real conversations would have fixed the issues. I also couldn't believe how Lani could be mad at Brett and the things he said and did for eight years. She could have confronted him - instead she ran. Yes, it wasn't a nice thing he did but it wasn't something a conversation couldn't have fixed. And THE THING they hinted at throughout the book? I was preparing for something juicy but I felt let down.
Please take my review with a grain of salt - there are people who loved this book and I totally get what they are saying.
As I said, I did like this author's writing and I am going to try other books by her. I also loved some aspects of this one and when Brett was redeemed he was really lovable. Lani also grew on me at the end of the story but unfortunately not enough. However, I liked this book enough to give the next one in this series a chance!

I wasn't sure how to rate this. For the most part I more than enjoyed it. However, I was thrown by the crux of the problem that existed between the main characters and I have to admit that it bothered me quite a bit.
Brett and his twin, Camille, were best friends with Lani in high school. Sometimes when a boy and a girl are friends, things can get complicated. Feelings can evolve. They have the potential to bring you pleasure, but can also dump you into pain. Hurt led to an 8-year separation, unanswered questions, and unresolved feelings.
Brett was a jerk with a heart of gold. Lani was a bit harder to read (much less stomach), but she was pretty sassy. Their chemistry was undeniable and their intimate scenes were scorchingly hot. Brett had one heck of a dirty mouth.
My only issue was the reason for the separation. Not so much the anguish each felt because that was understandable. I remember being an angst-filled teenager. It was more the fact that they held onto it for so long, especially Lani. At 26, I would think that she'd find a more constructive way to deal with the heartbreak she suffered at the age of 18.
Overall, this was an entertaining book that gave me a few laughs (thanks Aunt Bel), some tingles, and a warm heart. Oh and I wish there was more to the ending ;)

February 6, 2017Casanova is a friends to lovers / second chance romance that contains entertaining quick-witted banter. Here’s the long and short of it – Our heroine, Lexi returns home to Florida after 8 years to attend her grandmother’s funeral. We learn fairly quickly that she and Brett aka Casanova have past issues. Because of that, Lani hopes to leave town as soon as possible. However, her family and Brett have different plans. Casanova isn’t just a nickname, Brett is an unapologetic man-whore. He’s so much of a man-whore that the entire town is concerned about his behavior. His grandfather makes an extreme decision in an attempt to bring Brett back under control. That decision leads to Lani agreeing to stay home longer than expected to help change the public’s perception of Brett.
So here’s what I enjoyed:
The nicknames the MCs gave each other were super cute.
Brett has some issues, but the sweet moments he shared with Lani made me smile. Oh and the roses made me swoon.

The writing is quick-witted, fun, and flirty. There was some good banter. However, I also had a few issues with this one. My main issue was the conflict. In my very humble opinion, it was blown way out of proportion. I just didn’t get it. I thought it would be something more earth-shattering. Also, I didn’t get why an entire town would be so invested in the life of one man, regardless of his name or family’s influence. Brett’s manwhore tendencies in the past were deplorable, but that’s his business. I don’t see how anyone else’s opinion should matter so much that his grandfather goes to such extremes. Because of that, I didn’t really get the whole point of Lani staying in town to assist with those issues.
So to sum this up neatly, there were some plausibility issues for me. This is solely my opinion. I'm sure others will absolutely love this book. Emma's writing is definitely top notch and I'm looking forward to reading more from her.
My likes and dislikes were about even on this one, so I rate it 2.5 Stars overall.

I really enjoy Emma Hart’s books and her writing style, so when I saw that she was writing this book, I knew I needed to read it!
Casanova had an interesting story line. And it kind of went into a direction I didn’t expect. But it was still good. Brett was an a**hole, but hidden under all that was a good guy. Lani had a great life, but under all that is still the hurt Brett caused her. When they see each other again, there isn’t much love there. They both have a lot of things in the past that needed to come to light before they could be in a good place. But somehow these two got through it all.
I enjoyed this book, but I didn’t love it. There is a lot to this book and a lot of different variables. I liked both of their characters, but I just felt like something was missing. I did like that there were some great side characters. The drama was pretty low in this book and I really liked that especially since it could have been high and annoying. But it wasn’t and that was really enjoyable.
Overall, there were great things in this book. I just felt like there was just something missing that would have made me love it. I am looking forward to reading Raven’s book next! -Leah, 4 Stars

And in Casanova, Hart has readers heart beating wildly for Brett Walker as he tries to win back the heart of his best friend, Lani Montana. So can you imagine the sexual tension when a dirty talking hero reunites with his former sassy best friend? Yes, that’s right… EXPLOSIVE HOT AS HELL CHEMISTRY!!! And let me just say, Emma Hart made me blush a couple of times. Casanova by Emma Hart was a fun and entertaining read.
The writing was well done, Brett and Lani were likable and relatable characters that made me laugh with their antics. I loved their banter and their no holds barred attitude.
These two were perfect for each other.
Overall, Casanova was a sweet, steamy and entertaining read, I highly recommend it.

Emma Hart has pulled me into yet another EPIC romance of hers. Casanova is EVERYTHING I wanted it to be and more. It's hilarious, sexy, and filled with characters that readers will fall in love with. I am so excited for the next installment too as it will be Raven's story (a secondary character from this book who make cocktails like no other). READERS: If you have not read an Emma Hart book, you really need to start! Each one that I have read thus far has made me a fan of the author. She honestly writes the best, swoon worthy romances, and each one is unique in their own right. So why not take a chance with this hunk of a book and pick up Casanova.
On that note, this is a second chance romance between two individuals who had a past when they were in high school, but misunderstandings ended things before they could even get started. Emma Hart has pulled me into yet another EPIC romance of hers. Casanova is EVERYTHING I wanted it to be and more. It's hilarious, sexy, and filled with characters that readers will fall in love with. I am so excited for the next installment too as it will be Raven's story (a secondary character from this book who make cocktails like no other). READERS: If you have not read an Emma Hart book, you really need to start! Each one that I have read thus far has made me a fan of the author. She honestly writes the best, swoon worthy romances, and each one is unique in their own right. So why not take a chance with this hunk of a book and pick up Casanova.
On that note, this is a second chance romance between two individuals who had a past when they were in high school, but misunderstandings ended things before they could even get started. OH MY GOD!!! CASANOVA was just...EVERYTHING! Emma Hart continues to AMAZE the hell out of me with her EPIC STORYTELLING! This second chance romance was so emotional, so real, and SO deliciously SEXY! I laughed. I cried. I SWOONED so freaking HARD! Lani Montana is probably one of my FAVORITE heroines that Ms. Hart has ever created. And Brett Walker was just a cocky, dirty-talkin', stubborn, gorgeous specimen of a man. Together, these two were EXPLOSIVE in every single way! The anger that is pent up between these two, made the PASSION that much more delectable! This author has the incredible ability to know just what I want in a 5 STAR romance, and she delivers EVERY SINGLE TIME!

I struggled with this book and actually considered not finishing it more than once. I had a really tough time with the first 45% of the book. I got farther into the book, and I realized where the author was going with the story, and with telling it in the way she did...but it made it a tough book to engage with.
I didn't like Brett. At all. In the beginning, he is a jerk, acts like a child and has no redeeming qualities. I liked Lani...enough that I was not sure what she saw in Brett. And, I really never got over this feeling. The reason she left, and why she was angry was childish...and I never fully bought that she would still be angry about it for 8 years...but that said, he was so insufferable that I was mad at him, making me understand where she was coming from.
And then at 50%, all of a sudden I am supposed to believe that the guy I have gotten to know, and dislike, was actually totally different than I thought. But the issue was that there just wasn't enough of the book left for me to get over the dislike of him I had from the first half of the book. As I said, I saw what the author was doing with this, but it didn't work for me...I spent too much of the book thoroughly disliking him to really care all that much about who he really was.
And, then we have The Thing. That wasn't a thing. At all. It was, IMO, much ado about absolutely nothing. And, no one was going to care. No one. For this to be the rationale for his behavior, and his family's behavior, and all of the rest, it needed to be a lot more than what it was.
I see where the author was going with this. I just wasn't ever sold on being along for the ride.
I am not really able to recommend this book.

It took me a while to finish this book, because I wasn't sure I liked the characters at first, but as it moved into the story, it became apparent things weren't what they seemed, and it ended up being a good read.
When Lani Montana came back to Whiskey Key for her grandmother's funeral, she had no intention of staying and facing the man who broke her heart eight years ago.
Brett Walker was her best friend, the one who protected the nerdy girl from those who would taunt her, up until she overheard him making comments that still have the power to hurt her. He now has the reputation of being the town's bad boy, going through a new woman every night.

This was a 2.5-3 star for me...Which I'm
bummed about because I do enjoy reading this author.
I really struggled the first half of the book but did come to like the 2nd half better. A couple of times I debated whether or not I should stop but am glad I finished it.
For me, the whole reason why Lani was mad for the 8 years, the reason Brett changed, the Thing, it was just over dramatized in my opinion...a lot of these things could have been resolved much sooner by talking and communicating instead of running away and being mad and hateful. At times, I felt that the characters were younger than what the author wanted to portray and they just seemed really immature.

July 18, 2017I'm sure it's okay if I post this now because the book has been out for a few days. But this book was a DNF for me. Don't get me wrong, I adore Emma Hart and her books. But this one just wasn't working for me. Especially Brett Walker. There was just something there that was rubbing the wrong way at me. This won't change my love for Emma and her books, so let's hope the next one won't end up like this.

Casanova was a struggle for me. I started out this book thinking I was gonna love it, and to be honest, I struggled to finish it. I usually enjoy Emma Hart books, but this one dragged for me.
I put it down and picked it back up a lot to actually finish it.
The couple, both of them, were not my favorites. Lani was hard to warm up to and Brett's big secret was not even that shocking or scandalous! I finished reading to find out what it was, and I was let down.

I love Emma Hart's writing and stories. They are always guaranteed to be fun, entertaining, and more often than not, filled with lots of good steamy deliciousness. Casanova is all of these things!
What really made me like this story is the characters, particularly the dynamics between Lani and Brett. Their bickering, their banter, and their constant battle for dominance had me chuckling several times, and it helped to develop the chemistry, at least physically between the two of them.
I also enjoyed the characters as much apart as I do together. Lani has returned home and is guilted into staying home. Her new semi-permanent residence puts her in the direct path of working with the delicious Brett Walker. Her interactions with him shows her backbone, and highlights her ability to resist temptation. There are times when she is harsh based on the grudge, and while her resentment towards him based on something that happened so long ago seems a tad crazy, it isn't unrealistic that a person would hold onto something like this. She was betrayed and hurt by his actions, and everyone handles and responds to pain in a different ways. Her way is to become verbally combative, which ends up being some of my favorite parts of the story and their interactions. Brett has lines for days, fully earning the nickname Casanova. His flirtatious nature, pick-up lines, and dirty mouth are enough to melt my insides, but he ends up being so much more than that. He is sweet, kind, and compassionate, and best of all, he is this way because that is his nature, not because he is looking for recognition. Although the town "talked about him" being a manwhore, the readers don't really ever see this side of him. It is kind of glossed over, resulting in me not really perceiving him in this manner, which, honestly, probably makes me love him even more. In addition to the main couple, the secondary characters are just as enjoyable and entertaining, particularly the antics of the Walker family and Lani's sister. The characters really make the book for me.
The plot of the story is entertaining. I enjoy Lani and Brett's voice throughout the book, as well as the development of their relationship. There is the perfect blend of resistance, and they succumb to their desires at an appropriate time, meaning Emma Hart doesn't draw it out, but still allows them to establish an emotional relationship before anything becomes physical, giving this couple more than a lust-driven romance. My one issue with the plot of the story was the thing. This thing that every character kept talking about, but nobody would really talk about because it is too scandalous ended up not being so sordid. Now, this easily could have been a tool to have the conflict of the story between the couple, but even the fight as a result of the big reveal between Brett and Lani is solved relatively quickly. Although, I wish the conflict would have been a bit more substantial, the plot line is still incredibly entertaining.
Emma Hart continues to be a writer that I enjoy reading. I know her books will make me laugh and swoon and give me fun characters and storylines. Casanova is certainly all of these things!

Actual 3.5 stars.
Emma Hart is one of my favorite authors and she knows how to write a seriously funny rom-com. I adore her Burke Brothers and Stripped series and both those series had a brilliant blend of humor and sexy romance with great characters that kept me hooked from page one.
Casanova is a great read jam-packed full of Emma's signature sassy wit. The banter between Lani and Brett is hysterical and I was laughing my head off while reading this book.
Lani had left for California over a misunderstanding the night her and Brett graduated. One of the things I loved about this second chance romance was how both mains could now acknowledge their immaturity and appreciate if they had just spoken to one another they wouldn't have spent eight years apart.
The overall premise of this story was flimsy and lacking depth and that was my biggest issue with it. The plot was also very predictable and it lacked a nail-biting climactic moment. Brett was portrayed as a Casanova who didn't give a crap about anyone, but he never really presented as such. He bed-hopped, that was blatant, but every other demonstration of his character led me to believe he wasn't the bad boy he was portrayed to be. It didn't take much for me to fall for him!
Lani was a great female lead - independent, and career driven, feisty, and opinionated, but she had a good heart.
Without a shadow of a doubt the snarky banter is the star of this show. Prepare to laugh your socks off!
If you enjoy well written light-hearted romantic comedy or you are a fan of Emma Hart then you should definitely pick this one up.

I absolutely adore Emma Hart's style and the way her witty, perfectly entertaining stories are laced with heart and passion.
Casanova was no exception. Brett was, well, kind of an asshole - and I mean, of epic proportions - and at first I wasn't even sure I'd ever learn to love him. That adorable jerk, he turned out to be a wonderful man, he just needed his other half to drop the facade and be himself. And what I especially loved about Lani was that the shy, nerdy little girl's grown to be a sassy, independent, badass woman who doesn't need a man to be happy. Yet she learned to forgive and forget, no unnecessary drama there.
Give this Casanova a chance, Emma Hart never disappoints!

Maybe it's just me, but this book's blurb is misleading. I mean with that blurb, I would have thought there would be a lot more animosity between them, sort of. But not really.
They were kissing and being all flirty with each other when the pages are still in double digits. The heroine is so weak when it comes to the Hero so I'm not all attracted to that.
Oh and both main characters have the maturity of a twelve year old. DNF.

I have always been a big fan of Emma Hart’s work and The Burke Brothers have always been my favourite but I’m telling you, BRETT is in another league. The pacing in this book is everything - you go from banter to swoony to bickering to fanning yourself- it's just non-stop and it kept me turning the page! I could literally just see the story unfolds in front of me, as though I were watching a movie! I devoured this book in a matter of hours, and I was a blubbering weeping ball of emotions while I was reading it.
Brett is a womanizer and his reputation precedes him. When Lani comes back to attend her gran’s funeral, she has one goal -to avoid bumping into her old high school best friend, Brett, who broke her heart into pieces. She has moved on and is now a successful and established journalist.
“He was at the top, the reigning king. Untouchable. Perfection in the eyes of so many. “
She quickly learned that her high school best friend and secret love, at the time, has turned into Casanova and is no longer the Brett she knew once.
She wants to avoid crossing his path because she is mad at him, and he only wants to see her, to find out why she left after their graduation without a word.

I could literally just see the story unfolds in front of me, as though I were watching a movie! I devoured this book in a matter of hours, and I was a blubbering weeping ball of emotions while I was reading it.
Brett is a womanizer and his reputation precedes him. When Lani comes back to attend her gran’s funeral, she has one goal -to avoid bumping into her old high school best friend, Brett, who broke her heart into pieces. She has moved on and is now a successful and established journalist.
“He was at the top, the reigning king. Untouchable. Perfection in the eyes of so many. “
She quickly learned that her high school best friend and secret love, at the time, has turned into Casanova and is no longer the Brett she knew once.
She wants to avoid crossing his path because she is mad at him, and he only wants to see her, to find out why she left after their graduation without a word.

The story of Brett and Lani is outstandingly beautiful. It is a story about forgiveness, second chance and real love- the one that you experience only once in your lifetime, if you are lucky. Emma Hart has successfully given her readers angst, romance, hot sex, secret and lies- all the ingredients to make us crave for more. Her characters are so real and easy to connect with.
The chemistry is … off the charts!
Be prepared to laugh out loud, SWOON and essentially to fall in love with Lani and Brett.

5 Kitten Stars!
Emma Hart is one of my favorite authors. She creates characters that are relatable and are usually based on people we know. Ms. Hart is an automatic one click for me because I know her stories are going to pull you in and keep you there until the very last page.
Casanova is no exception. We begin with Lani returning home to attend her grandmother’s funeral. She left her life in Whiskey Key eight years ago, but not too much has changed, especially the small-town gossip. The reason she left is the man she hopes to not see or run into. He broke her heart without even knowing and she fled the moment she walked off the stage after her graduation speech.
Brett aka Casanova comes from money. He’s always gotten whatever he wants whether it’s women, booze or any other vice he can get his hands on. Now his inheritance is on the line. It’s time for him to man up and grow up. It doesn’t help that the one girl who holds his heart has come back to Whiskey Key. Unfortunately, she’s going to know more about him than he ever intended for her to.
I really appreciate the characters Emma Hart creates. Lani is strong, independent and successful in her career. She has the brassy sassiness she needs to handle Brett. The comebacks and one-liners these two have are classic. Brett is rich, good-looking, cocky and a complete alpha. Casanova is told in a dual point of view so we can capture all the feels of our main characters. Their chemistry, sexual frustrations and secrets will have you on the edge of your seat.
There are revelations and answers that bring Casanova full circle. I recommend Casanova not only because it has Emma Hart’s name on it but because it’s a fun and hilarious work of art.

Home for her Grandmothers funeral, Lani has to deal with other matters too.... that being the reason she left in the first place...... Brett.
Yeah, Brett has played the field, and not only the football kind, and some would and have called him a Casanova, but deep down he is a softie you're going to love. He has some of his own secrets that quite frankly didn't shock me or made me love him any less. And the way he is with Lani will make you laugh and swoon. He was cocky but definitely adorable.
Lani is not easily won over, she is no kitten. Realising her teenage self could have done things differently, she still wants to be romanced. Plus, who doesn't love white roses! She is also a gifted journalist who writes a couple of articles that shows their town of Whiskey Key that we all can make mistakes. Some simple minded people may judge us for it, but it doesn't define us. Just admit it, take responsibility for it, own it and live with it. Wise Wise Words.
This is a fun second chance rom-com told in dual POV's with heartfelt characters who can see that their younger selves had flaws and mature enough to forgive and forget. I am so looking forward to Raven's book, I bet she has many stories to tell being a bar tender.

I completely loved this book considering sometimes I wanted to kill both Brett and Lani . I wanted to smash there heads together and be like what the f*** is happening here . Gosh these two! Once you've read this you will understand my frustration......
You just know from the beginning that these two are meant to be besides when you first get the glimpse that they hate each other so much.
I loved how it was a best friends to lovers and then haters to lovers . Lani and Brett have knew each other since high School . Lani is Best fiends with Brett's Twin Sister Camille . Camille and Brett's relationship is so funny. It reminds me of the way me and my younger sister are with each other.
Secrets and lies will be exposed , heartache will be put back together, and LOVE will happen again.
The getting it oonnnnnn scenes are very saucy, they are very hot and will leave you breathless . I personally wouldn't mind having Casanova known as Brett in my bed anytimeee anyplace.
I loved all the secondary characters , they were amazing to have in this book. I definitely cannot wait for the mix up to come out. Ladies be prepared I guarantee you that that one will be the bomb.com.

I really struggled with the first half of the book, it was really just a slow build of the Brett and Lani both being immature and it really grated my nerves. BUT, don't let that stop you. The second half of this book was so fantastic! Once we finally figure out what there issues are we really start rolling, and you will swoon and laugh and just have a great time with the second half. If you love Emma's books you will be happy with this one as well!
You got to see Brett aka Casanova was just a womanizing jerk to cover up his hurt and didn't care what people really thought of him, as long as it didn't harm his family. He was so hot and cold through most of the book. He was either degrading Lani or being so dang sweet you just couldn't decide if you like him or not.
Lani... well, it was really hard for me to like her, and that's okay because I don't like some of my favorite heroines. I felt her hatred was a little harsh for something that happened eight years ago.
This book will leaving you satisfied, if not itching for more from this group of friends!
