Join in the celebration with your Tombstone family and friends in Christmas at Archer Ranch.
The Archer family’s housekeeper, Maria, has preparations for the family’s Christmas celebration well in hand, but they are interrupted when Beau Archer asks Tripp and Hank to go back on the trail to escort burros that are urgently needed in the mine. Sadie will become a mother any day, and the Archer family swoops in to care for her while the men are away.
When a problem on the trail causes their return to be delayed and Sadie and Tripp’s baby presses to make an appearance, it looks like Christmas at Archer Ranch might not go as planned. But when the men return with a ghost from Maria’s past, they all must give in to the magic of Christmas.

I enjoyed this wonderful Christmas addition to the Wild West Frontier Brides series. The story will read well as a standalone and even better with the others in this series. Many new changes are on the way. Tripp and Sadie are expected their baby. Preparations are being made for Christmas with many traditions and celebrations. The Archer family wants to help assist one of the better mine owners. Lots of memories will be shared from past years with the Archer family.
Sadie is anxious as all expectant mothers are as the birth of their baby approaches. Tripp and Hank are sent to Mexico to bring back a pack of burros to help out at one of the mines in the area. Maria helps Sadie by providing a journal for reading that Katie had written when she was expecting her children.
The plot will bring some tense moments, a time of reflections, concerns over keeping up family traditions, will Tripp make it back in time for the birth, and can two people find happiness after so many years apart? I love how the story is sweet, clean, and full of love and respect. The Archer family goes beyond blood relations, and it is a family bond that has been in the works for decades. The is a large cast of characters that each has a unique personality to them, and they are all joined by love. I look forward to more books in this series.
I must say that the women in this series are tremendous role models. They were independent, strong, and respectful toward their families. Each worked together with their husbands as a team.
The men are hard working, loving, and handsome! Who wouldn't want to spend time with them?
The proofreader must have dozed through their responsibilities to this series, since there were multiple grammar errors.
In this tale, a mysterious couple are drawn together after many years apart and face their individual struggles on the road to marital bliss.
This was a sweet and clean romance that brought marriage to the long time cook and extended Archer family member. It is able to stand on its own, but is much more enjoyable read in succession with the rest of the series.
This story was so good. It really was a feel good ending with a lot of activities going on within the story. I love the characters and really liked the storyline. Tripp had to go out of town with Hank to bring back miniature donkeys. Sadie was staying at the Archer ranch while Tripp was away because she was due to have a baby an time. It was fun reading about all that happened to the family over Christmas.
We do what we know! That is true with celebrations and life itself. This is a story of making foods we have every Christmas - whether it is the Archer's tamales and meat pies or a custom you treasure. Discussions are about parents and those who will become a new pa or mama. It may be natural to nurture and then do better. Family, friends and visitors are at the heart of this book. Great read for the holidays or any time of the year.
Christmas at Archer Ranch (Wild West Frontier Brides Book 8)
It's Christmas time at Archer Ranch. Archer family is celebrating Christmas. The nativity scene is missing, baby on the way, man in the trail and are late come back. Will this be a Christmas to rejoice in or be sad? Great storu.
I have cried so many happy tears reading this story. So happy for Sadie and Tripp, but Maria's and Dieago's joy and happiness is overwhelming. Hopefully she's not to old to be surprised with a healthy child of her own, along with Beau and Mrs. Allen. Who knows, stranger things have happened.
This is a large family which shares their love for one for one another abundantly. In this book Sadie is pregnant. Married to Tripp a son of the heart for. the Archer's shares her thoughts and her mother-in-law journal to help her through child birth. Read and enjoy all the things I left out for yourselves!!!!!
This is a well written, sweet historical holiday romance. Christmas at Archer Ranch is book 8 in the series but can be read as a standalone story about Sadie and Tripp. What I loved about this story is you were able to learn about all of the Archer's and their extended families via marriage and about some of their holiday traditions. Sadie and Tripp's story was a great one!
Sadie was lucky to have Maria around for the birth of her twins. Reading Katie's journal gave Sadie courage. I loved the way you brought Diago back into Maria's life. Great book. Can't wait to read more of the Archer Ranch stories.
I am reading Christmas themed stories in the month of December. I was pleasantly surprised to be introduced to a series featuring the wonderful Archer family. I look forward to reading more as each of the eight children find their future spouse and HEAs!
As a whole I thoroughly enjoyed the book with one exception. The first 3-4 chapters became very boring as the story was almost all about making tamales. Thankfully the story finally moved on and became very interesting.
Love the Archer stories, they are always full of warm family ties, of people devoted to each other. Would be lovely to be a part of a family like this!
this was a good story. I love how it all fits in together. I know this is a series, but it is a great stand a lone book. Quick read, i could not put it down. stayed up to finish it.
After having read all the bks in this series so far, I love pretty much everyone in the Archer family and town. It was fun to catch up with the family and With the added excitement of know that Sadie and Tripp are expecting their first child any day now, this was a sweet Christmas story all about family and love.
After having read several other books in this series I love pretty much everyone in the Archer family, including Maria, the family's cook. I always enjoy books set around Christmas and this is no exception. With the added excitement of know that Sadie and Tripp are expecting their first child any day now, this was a sweet Christmas story all about family and love.
What a great story for a wonderful family Christmas. I was thrilled to read about all the Christmas decorations for the area back then. You could close your eyes and there it is. And it was a great part about the journal. Such a great idea. A wonderful heartwarming story.
This is such a beautiful story, I loved catching up with Sadie, the rest of the Brides of Archer Ranch, Maria, and Beau. Wonderful story that will warm your heart and make you smile.
I have read every book in this series and have yet to be disappointed. If you haven't read any books by Cindy Caldwell I highly recommend this series. The book was one of those that you just don't want to put down until you are finished. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.
