Chase:

What we do...
What we do every Tuesday...
In my office,
On my desk...
Is wrong!

But I crave her,
I can't stop.
How can I save her
from certain heartbreak,
when I can't even save myself?

Danielle:

He’s a gorgeous, eccentric, older man, a millionaire who owns the special needs school my daughter attends. He also happens to be running for mayor of New York City.

Why do I keep my appointments?

This one hour every Tuesday is strangely a welcomed reprieve from a life that has always been too full of hardship. I am usually quite willful. I'm tough and belligerently stubborn, but sometimes I don’t want to be.

I revel in the passion, the desperate need that sets a flame in Chase's deep blue eyes, and the fervent worship of my body that spills from his lips.
The awe he finds in every tiny detail of my pleasure is infinitely thrilling.

I completely surrender to him, a surrender that requires a great deal of trust. I've never fully trusted anyone in my life. And I don’t know why, but I trust Chase Rutherford.

But what is he hiding?

As my heart softens and his gazes grow tender, will I finally learn his secret. Will it be unbearable? Will it shatter my heart?
Will it be so devastating that it finally breaks this unbreakable woman?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! By Appointment Only (stand-alone). A secret weekly appointment for sex between aspiring politician and an unemployed single mom!

“Open wider for me, Dani! Show me your pretty pussy…” Chase groaned deeply.”

By Appointment Only (stand-alone) opens up to single mother and soon-to-be unemployed waitress Danielle Carmichael, Dani having a bad day culminating in a confrontation with businessman, philanthropist and aspiring Mayor Chase Rutherford aka Rutherfucker. Their animosity soon morphs into sexual frustration and leads to a standing appointment in Chase’s office on Tuesdays.

Dirty-talking, kinky requests and hot sex on his desk…

From different worlds, their secret affair will soon stir up trouble. Chase is in the midst of a political election with rivals and enemies while Dani is struggling to make ends meet while caring for her autistic daughter.

Secrets, jealousy, betrayal and the threat of scandal…

Seven words to describe Chase Rutherford aka Rutherfucker:charming, worldly, private, commanding, noble, aloof and mature.

Seven words to describe Danielle Carmichael, Dani: feisty, desperate, naïve, hot-headed, proud, stubborn and hard-working.

By Appointment Only, told mostly from Dani’s POV, centers around an unlikely secret affair with dangerous consequences. Chase was amazing with Dani’s daughter and though many obstacles came from without it proved to be a journey of self-reflection and growth for both.

Lisa Eugene delivers a great, emotional story filled with a little bit of everything – suspense, mystery, action and steam. This one isn't my favorite book read by this author, but I liked it and enjoyed Lisa’s storytelling and engaging writing very much. If you are a fan of enemies to lovers stories, with lots of conflict and turmoil, then you should consider reading this compelling story.

Danielle Carmichael is a twenty-six years old single mother of an eight years old little girl named Emmy. She’s struggling to make ends meet on her crappy salary, caring for Emmy, who’s autistic. Dani made some stupid decisions over the years, but she doesn’t regret having Emmy. She loves the little girl and she would do anything for her well-being. Emmy comes first for Dani, she’s everything for her, so she would fight for her, for her to be treated well with anyone. Emmy attends a prestigious private school for children with special needs and one day Dani is forced to go pick her up unexpectedly after receiving a phone call form the school. Dani is fired from her job, but her day gets worse when she meets the owner of her daughter’s school, Chase Rutherford. Chase is older, imposing, a man who carries himself like he owns the world. He’s rich, a businessman and a politician who’s currently running for mayor of NYC.

Dani and Chase hate each other from the moment they meet, but the animosity between them changes into something else when they start to have secret "appointments" filled with passion and later romance. What comes next are a series of events that change Dani and Chase individually, but also their dynamic.

Told in dual POV, but mostly from Dani’s point-of-view, 'By Appointment Only' is an interesting read, with a quite engaging story-line and two likeable and also relatable main characters. The plot is pretty well-developed and kept my interest from start to finish.

Dani is a likeable heroine, for the most part. She’s a worrier, a feisty, stubborn, independent woman who’s not afraid to speak her mind and to fight for what she believes in. I love her strength and dedication towards her daughter and the way she stands up for herself. She’s an amazing mother to Emmy. As much as I loved her spitfire personality, at times she was a little too rough around the edges for my liking. Chase is a tall, sexy, rich man who’s a little tortured and tries as best as he can to forget his past and how lonely he is. He is simply fantastic with Dani and also with Emmy as the story progress. He’s sweet, caring and protective and, overall, a truly swoon-worthy hero.

Dani and Chase start as enemies, but their relationship becomes unconventional very fast…in some way. Their interactions are entertaining for the most part and so very steamy. The steam aspect is well done and all their sexy encounters are hot as hell. I really enjoyed the sexual tension and the electricity between them was palpable and fantastically written. However, I have to say the steam aspect felt a little too much at times. Personally, I would have preferred the author to focus more on the emotional relationship between these two characters than the sexy times between them. Personally, I wished for a little more balance.

Overall, a great read!

descriptionThis cover is OK. The man on the cover is a good representation of the hero found within. Interesting typography for the title but the composition and placement of the other text feels off.description

descriptionI enjoyed this one, but I did not LOVE it. It started out really good for me but about halfway through I began to lose interest. There seemed to be just a little too much going on (Dani's ex. Chase's secret. The Thailand stuff. The Senator.) it just started to get too convoluted for me.

description

I liked Dani at the beginning a struggling single mom with an autistic daughter. I felt for her and her struggles. That said as the book went on I just started to find her unnecessarily surly about EVERYTHING. Chase, on the other hand, started off dreadful for me. I thought he came across way too much like an arrogant dick but as the book went on, I warmed up to him a lot. So much, so I felt he deserved someone a lot better than Dani.

So a bit of a mixed bag for me. I kind of wish the author had left out some of the "baddies" drama and spent more time building the relationship between Dani and Chase and her daughter. For me, those plotlines overshadowed the relationship and made it hard for me to connect with them as a couple.description

This story takes place in NYC. Two very different takes on life in the big city.
Danielle (Dani) is a harried waitress at a dive restaurant. She's struggling to make ends meet. As a single mother, she's not meeting her ends. She has an autistic daughter, Emmy.
Dani was very young when she had her daughter. Dani's druggy-low-life- dead beat ex-husband has ZERO involvement in his daughter's life. Steven, is one despicable character. Fortunately, he only makes sporadic appearances. Mainly to harass Dani & demand money from HER (!)

Dani has Emmy enrolled in a prestigious special needs school, the Rutherford Academy.
Dani is summoned to the school to pick up Emmy. The administrator claims Emmy is making a scene. Dani is ticked off that the experts are clueless in how to handle her normally gentle child. What's worse, Dani was fired for leaving her job to come get Emmy.

The set-up for the perfect storm. Not exactly a meet-cute, but Dani meets the owner of the school- Chase Rutherford- a business tycoon who's running for mayor. Dani lets him have it with both barrels. Dani has quite the temper. It's the war of the socio-economic classes. I've seen this dynamic before. In this case, the gap is wider than I've ever seen before. Dani is just about flat broke. Now she's jobless.
Dani also seems to be her own worst enemy. The nasty ol' rich people. They're just out to hold her back. Chase does seem to be an enigma. He a few years older, tall, dark haired and handsome. He's aloof. Dani thinks that he's looking down at her.
Emmy is expelled from school. Dani, furious, goes to Chase's Manhattan office. She proceeds to tell him off. She doesn't seem to get anywhere when she argues for her daughter's education. She even unbuttons her shirt to show him her rack.
A few days later, Emmy is reinstated to Rutherford Academy. (!!) hmm
The first half of the book had some great sexual tension. At times, it was over the top.
Chase makes appointments with Dani to meet at his office every Tues evening when Dani's mom can watch Emmy. These are the times that Dani stops her rage against the rich and more powerful. Chase obviously enjoys their "appointments". No touching-Chase just watches Dani "perform" on top of his desk.
This goes on for several weeks, then one evening, they eventually go all the way.
Chase and Dani start to become lovers and even friends. Dani is stil hot tempered. Chase seems to be able to handle it. I kept waiting for him so say forget it. He really did love her fire-positive and negative. I just wished that Dani appreciated Chase's help-and not stubbornly refusing help to get her on her way to getting ahead. She does get a new job.
Dani is very good with her daughter. She's careful to keep a routine and her favorite things: her Dora the Explorer backpack & rubber band collection.
I liked Dani's bff, Wanda. She had the voice of reason-but had some street smarts too.
This wasn't the usual rich man-poor woman story. Dani's situation seemed more realistic.
Chase had started out as a typical alpha-hole, but he really turned around and was very supportive of Dani and Emmy. I was mad at Dani for taking him for granted. In her inner monologue-she does realize this too. She just can't help herself. She expects it all to end badly. It takes a lot to convince her that they are good together.
This is first person POV- Dani. In the 2nd half, there's a few sections with Chase's POV.
The big who done it had me guessing the bad guy. There were so many that seemed to be a suspect. I guessed the bad guy, but not what would happen.
The ending was good. The epilogue was short and stopped suddenly. I thought that i lost some of the book.
This is my first book by this author. I received an ARC from the author and publisher.

***** 4 Stars *****

Danielle is a struggling single mom trying to make enough money to pay for rent and food. She loves her daughter with all her heart, but because of her daughter's autism, Danielle has additional battles in her life.

Chase Rutherford is a wealthy and powerful businessman running for Mayor. He also owns a prestigious school for special children. When a beautiful woman captures his attention at the school, he is curious and intrigued by her fierce attitude.

The two have lots of hot chemistry, but they have a lot of things going against them.

By Appointment Only is a touching read full of steamy moments. I couldn't put this down. Chase was absolutely perfect and I loved reading the parts that were in his point of view. There were moments where I thought Danielle was a bit too stubborn and demanding, but overall I enjoyed this story.

I absolutely, without any doubt, completely and undeniably adored her!

This was my second book by Lisa Eugene of course I loved her previous book "Grayson" this one unfortunately not as much.

"By appointment only" had me with mix feelings, I loved it at first the whole concept of a forbidden romance with a politician is pretty intriguing. When Chase/Danielle first meet they don't like each other and assume the wrong opinion of each other. But as they keep meeting they start to feel an attraction that soon becomes these private appointments. I have to say that was my favorite part of the story, those secret encounters were so sexy their sexual chemistry was so intense and delicious.

description

I loved Chase, he was so confident, possessive and caring, a real good guy.
Dani, well, at first I loved her she was a strong woman, who has gone through so much, especially with her ex. She's fierce and independent and a wonderful mom to her autistic daughter. I totally understood her wanting the best for her girl and that her past experiences made her hesitant to trust a man again.

description

But....there was a point where I wanted to shake her and knock some sense into her. I understood her to a certain point, but Chase, proved to her over and over how much he wanted her and loved her and Emmy. Her pull and push was definitely frustrating, I wanted her to fight for Chase, just like he fought for her. I wished it hadn't taking her so long to realize that the only obstacle in their relationship was HER!

description

Even though I didn't love it, I still enjoyed it. This book had a bit of everything, those funny moments with Dani's bff were hilarious Emmy's, smiles were so precious and her hugs even better. Of course we have chase's secret and some suspense it all made for a decent read. ❤

This was my first book by Lisa Eugene and I enjoyed it. I liked hero more than heroine. She was too much stubborn and proud for my taste. But it was a good reading.

Danielle is a single mother. Her eight-years-old daughter, Emily, is autistic. But she is a wonderful and talented girl. Dani is struggling to pay bills but she is a fantastic mother and does everything for Emmy. Emmy attends to an Academy that’s for children with special needs. The owner of this Academy is Chase Rutherford. He is a politician who’s running for mayor of New York. Dani and Chase’s first meeting at Academy doesn’t go well. After that they meet secretly and their enmity changes to…

Dani was so stubborn and feisty and some times her obstinacy was on my nerves. But she was an independent woman who didn’t accept others help easily and I liked it about her. Chase was a good man and I really liked him. Dani didn’t know anything about Chase except every time she meets him it’s like he has a burden on his shoulders. Yeah, he has secrets like other people! So read it yourself to know what happens next!

~4,5~ stars from me!!

An intense, emotional, full of twists novel!! Once again the author created a unique, yet a quite realistic story, where you can get sucked in and live the story alongside with the characters.

Besides the suspense, the mystery and the intensity.. the uncommon romance between the characters really won me, it was something fresh and different from what I'm used to reading which was evolving steadily throughout the story.

Our characters Chase and Dani have a great chemistry and their passion could easily "burn" the pages. Chase is a dominant character, mysterious with a slightly dark vibe (there's a reason for that) on the other hand, Dani is a stubborn yet behind all her problems and struggles I could easily see a strong (mother) and a very passionate woman.

Furthermore, I have to mention that I adored Emmy and honestly the author did an amazing job with her character as an autistic child.

Lastly, besides all the above there are some really wow factors with the secrets and the mind-blowing twists!

I definitely recommend it, believe me you certainly have to give it a try and as for me I'm looking forward to reading the next story the author will create!

By Appointment Only was quite a bit different from other books I've read by Lisa Eugene. I've always been drawn to her tendency to write books with some sort of medical or psychological background. Some suspense, others angsty emotional. This book, although it has a psychological diagnosis of autism in the heroine's child, was more smutty than the other tropes I've read by her. So fans of steam over all else will gravitate more towards this book I suspect.

Our heroine, Danielle Carmichael, is a single mom barely making ends meet caring for her special needs daughter. Emmy was accepted into a prestigious private school for special needs children all expenses paid so when she gets a phone call demanding she pick up her "disruptive child" pronto, she's without help. Lose her job by walking off the job to get her or ignore the pleas of the school. Her daughter comes first, so job be damned, she goes to the school to assess the problem. Only to find out the driving factor of Emmy being asked to leave in her fits is due to the prestigious owner doing a school visit and they're all about order and image for him... Chase Rutherford (aka Rutherfucker).

To say Dani and Chase get off on not-so-good terms is an understatement. Dani is one heck of a feisty, foul-mouthed, disrespectful mother. Rallying to protect her daughter from needless discrimination, Chase is caught in her protective motherly crossfire. Not used to being treated in such a way, it didn't go over so well. A passionate philanthropist, he didn't take to her insults about public image and superiority.

By Appointment Only is a book where the MCs start out on the hateful side but eh, they always say there's a fine line between love and hate. Both emotionally charged people, their hatred expounds to an insane chemistry quite quickly. Commence the smutty side of this book....including lotsa desk/office liaisons...or appointments.

Though I enjoyed the story we had here, I wish we had more of the Lisa Eugene-style stories and less sexy time between the characters. A large age difference (almost 20 years) plus Chase's high political and social status (running for Mayor of NYC), I found his risky connection to Danielle rather far-fetched. She was quite harsh and unfiltered, coming from a rougher side of town, yet he divulges very potentially-detrimental professional secrets to her very early-on in their relationship. I had a hard time buying that...as well as their emotional/physical connection. I still enjoyed the book, it's just not one of my favorites from this author.

I really enjoyed this super steamy single-parent romance. Dani is a single mother of a sweet little girl with autism. Her life is devoted to her daughter and she works hard to give her the best life she can. She sees the best in her daughter, her extraordinary talents and abilities, not her disability. Chase is a multi-millionaire who is CEO of his company and also in politics. These two have amazing chemistry from their first meeting. Dani is my favorite kind of heroine - she's not a pushover, she's tough but not hard and she loves her daughter more than anything else in the world. Chase has secrets that he isn't ready to share but he can't resist the pull that Dani has on him. This book had everything to make it the kind of book you don't want to put down - super hot steamy scenes, romance, suspense and action. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author.

2 stars....Ehhhhhh

OK, so I seem to be in the minority and that's ok but this was just not an enjoyable or a memorable read for me:( Sorry, my reading standards and preferences are set pretty high and for me they were just not met in this book and again, that's my own feelings based on my own reading issues.

This may not have been good for me BUT it may be a great read to others. I didn't relate to the characters together BUT yet I did separately if that makes sense and I didn't like some of the factors surrounding this story. Yeah, just didn't work for me all around. The storyline had potential, great potential, but it fell very flat and short and the characters.....I just didn't get a lot of it....sorry!

Compelling contemporary story about a young woman struggling on minimum wage, with an autistic child, and a world of troubles not of her own making. I found myself identifying with Danielle and rooting for her like crazy. Humor, mystery, and realistic issues on top of steamy love scenes held my attention. Ms Eugene goes places other authors don't go.

The first and second parts of this book were really different from one another. In a way, this worked. But in a way, I think I wanted a little more from each.

Dani took a little bit for me to like her. Chase, the same. And, by the time I had finally decided I liked them, and was engaging with the story, the reveal happened that took us into the second part of the book. I think I would have liked a little more time spent with them after we knew all of his secrets, as this was where the relationship developed, where he started to make sense, and where he really started to work as a character for me.

That said, I liked the book. I thought the premise was interesting, and unique. I liked the idea that he needed her to be willing to continue to keep their appointments, and I liked the reason why he needed that stability and that ability to know where and when she would be in his office, even though telling why in this review would be a spoiler.

Bottom line, I liked more about this than I didn't, I would read this author again, and at the end of the book I did think that I had read a book that I enjoyed overall.

OMG! This book is amazing, I actually started this book last night and what can I say, this book out beats the charm out of most romance book. Danielle has some bite and she is thrown by a lot things. She just can't seem to get her head of above ground. Her daughter's school is calling about a meltdown, her hag face of a boss is breathing down her neck to get to work or be fired, so what is Danielle to do!

Oh yes, it's go to the school to pick up her daughter and tell off the owner of the prestigous school. It's a school designed for autistic children and they can't even handle a meltdown or take the patience of calming her child down.

Chase, the owner of the school doesn't like what Danielle has to say and that's when things get good!

This was a fantastic read, I really enjoyed the story line and the characters. I felt so bad for Danielle, not that she wasn't managing but if life could stop throwing her curve balls, she would have been able to breathe easier! Danielle had a lot going on in her life such as a creepy landlord, a maniacal drug infused ex husband, and being jobless.

Book Blurb:

First and foremost, a big shout-out of thanks to Lisa Eugene for advancing me a copy of her new novel, "By Appointment Only" in exchange for an honest review. Having already read some of her novels, which I loved, I jumped at the chance to read her latest one.

Dani’s a young single mother with a daughter, Emmy, who has autism, who does everything she can possibly do so her daughter can continue attending a prestigious and elite school that provides special care to children with autism. Working as a waitress at a diner has its own pitfalls but when the school calls for her to pick up Emmy immediately she leaves work only to get fired. Chase is an older, wealthy business man who crosses paths with Dani, a man who Dani thinks is arrogant, pompous and condescending, a man who just so happens to own the prestigious school her daughter attends. Let’s just say their first encounter left a bad taste in Dani’s mouth.

Like many novels of the romance genre, more likely than not, we know Dani and Chase will come together eventually but it’s how they get there that makes this story oh so sexy, the heat between the two getting hotter and hotter with each “appointment”. Seriously, "By Appointment Only" is off the charts hot and sexy. Did I already say that?

When Dani decides to go see Chase at his place of business she doesn’t hold anything back. Chase finds her intriguing and very sexy and when she turns to leave he gives her his business card with an appointment for her to come back to his office the following week. Intrigued, Dani does return the following week and every week thereafter. Having a standing appointment each week brings Chase and Dani closer. Chase craves her, he can’t stop thinking about her and Dani finds that she can’t stay away even though she knows he might break her heart.

"By Appointment Only" is intriguing and quite sensual. The story is told by both Dani and Chase’ POV which I absolutely love. Reading his POV just makes their relationship even more intimate as we get to see what he’s thinking and feeling. By the way, a big shout out to the author for not following the trend of the “I love you” crap after having sex for the first time. Instead, it’s two people getting to know each other and having sex, lots and lots of sex.

Chase made for a great leading man. While some had an issue about the age difference between the two, I was fine with it. Perhaps because as I read the story he never came across as old to me. I hope that makes sense.

At the beginning, I liked Dani as she’s tough, stands up for herself and her daughter and does everything she can do so her daughter can attend the best school suited to her. With all her admiral qualities, there were some that I didn’t feel endearing at all. I found her to be rude when she didn’t need to be and full of attitude. When Dani notices Chase staring at her breasts she undoes her shirt and bra to show Chase her breasts because she thinks that’s what he wants. I’m sorry but I found that to be tactless. At another appointment and with no explanation, he asks her to remove her panties, lay down on the table and open up her legs to him so he can take a look. Sorry folks but I didn’t find this hot or sexy. I’m no prude but still, it’s a little crass. Unfortunately, because of these two instances I found myself liking her a little bit less. With Chase it was the opposite as I liked him more and more. Wait, if it’s tactless for her to open her legs, what does that make him when he asks her? I’m going to have to think about this.

So why four stars and not five? Well, like many other novels there’s the usual “angst” which I thought was no big deal. Sure, Chase should’ve told Dani and if she had given him a chance and listened to him she’d understand his predicament but instead she blows up not giving him a chance to explain. It was also hard to believe that Chase would continue his relationship (at his office) with Dani when he’s running to be Mayor of New York. Plus, the whole showing of the breasts and opening up her legs didn’t sit well with me. Now, I know this is fiction but I found it hard to believe that a waitress working at a dive (diner) is able to pay for her rent (okay, she’s behind in paying her rent), food, gas for her car, clothes for her daughter, her cigarettes and more importantly, the prestigious school. Even with her tips, how can she afford it all?

At the end of the day, "By Appointment Only" is still an enjoyable sexy read that I’m sure many will love. There’s so much more that takes place in the story (a total plus in my books) that definitely makes this novel intriguing and worthwhile. I also suggest that if you haven’t read any other books by this author I suggest that you as they’re so amazing.

This book is about an older man and a younger woman. Danielle is a single mother with an autistic daughter Emmy who is struggling to make ends meet and is continuously trying to protect them from her drug abusing violent ex husband. After a long drawn out fight Danielle manages to get Emmy into a prestigious school that is equipped to deal with her autism. One day whilst at work she gets a call from the school saying that she needs to go pick Emmy up due to her having an enormous meltdown which nobody can calm. Angry and frustrated because it's just cost Danielle her job she has no choice but to go collect her daughter. However she puts up a strong front when she gets to the school because they should be dealing with it but they won't because the schools owner is about to turn up for a press conference.

Chase is a very wealthy man, not only does he own a school but is also running for Mayor but co runs a business Flex-Steel which is constantly hitting the headlines for unsafe practices which is ruining his campaign. When Chase gets a mouthful from Danielle at the school she has his interest piqued. When Danielle receives a letter a few days later saying her daughter is being discharged from the school she decides to pay Chase Rutherford a visit at his office. The reply to her outburst from him is an appointment, every Tuesday 6pm sharp, in his office, on his desk. Chase knows he is playing with fire because her heart is destined to get broken if she ever finds out his secret but he can't seem to help himself. Can they deal with the aftermath?

This author never ever disappoints me. Lisa Eugene is a fantastic writer of the most sensitive subject matters revolving around mental health or invisible illness and she always gets it right. Sometimes I read books with medical problems etc and authors can get it so wrong making it cringe worthy to read not to mention highly embarrassing for them, so to read this sort of thing time and time again from an author who constantly gets it right is a breath of fresh air and for that I applaud it. The characters as so well written and the story draws you in leaving you wanting more and more. There are also plenty of scenes in this book that are pretty hot and will leave you breathless and wanting more.

I always look forward to see what Lisa Eugene is going to write next because I know I will always be inspired and entertained by her books.

ARC in exchange for an honest review

Absolutely LOVED this!

My body shuddered with uncontrollable ecstasy, the kind that leaves you stunned and just a tiny bit scared.

Ever since her book Grayson, I've been on the lookout for anything Lisa Eugene writes. Her heroes are complicated and overflow with emotional depth. This story is another amazing read! Chase (swoon) is the brooding, sexy, older man (43) who is hiding aBIG secret. Throughout the story you see how tortured he is, and Ms. Eugene does fantastic job of endearing him to your heart. This multi-millionaire also happens to be running for mayor of New York City.
Drum roll...
In comes Dani, a feisty, strong, no-nonsense woman who's had a rough life. Dani has had a life that has taught her to trust no one but herself. Her eight year old autistic daughter is written so well you want to reach into the book and give her a hug. I loved the honesty and sensitivity given to Emmy's character.
When Chase and Dani meet, they come to an unusual agreement---Appointments every Tuesday at 6pm that fogged up my kindle. But these appointments turn into something more, and as the story evolves and unfolds it is just one roller-coaster ride after another. I could not put this book down! Def one of my favs from Lisa Eugene.

It's gripping from start to finish!

Chase Rutherford is a millionaire who's running for mayor of NYC and owns the special needs school that Danielle Carmichael's daughter attends. Things don't start off well for these two but she always keeps her weekly 6pm Tuesday appointment with him. It's clear that he wants her so why won't he touch her? Full of twists and turns, intrigue, suspense, lies and deceit as well as love, hot sex and friendship this well written book has it all. The sheer despair that is Dani's life not to mention the burdens Chase carries on his shoulders are so real my heart ached for them. It's such a brilliant story line, it's gripping from start to finish you won't want to miss this one!

Danielle is a single mother and she is unemployed because her daughters school called to say that she is causing a disturbance and needs to be fetched. Danielle's daughter is autistic and attends a special fancy school with qualified teachers, so why are they calling her to pick up her daughter.
When she arrives she finds out that the owner of the school and also running for mayor of NY Chase Rutherford (Rutherfucker, lol) is visiting and her daughter is causing a scene so the school can't have that. This immediately angers Danielle and that is how she meets Chase. By giving him a piece of her mind about the school and the people that runs it

But that's not the last time, so when the school sends her a letter terminating her daugher's place in in the school she goes right to the source. And what transpires even shocks Danielle. Chase makes an appointment with her to see him the next Tuesday and from there their relationship consists of meeting every Tuesday and becomes a reprieve from her hard life and it seems a reprieve for Chase from his life in the limelight and all the problems he's having too.

But Chase is hiding something from her and just when she thought that there was more to their Tuesday nights she finds out what he's hiding.

But when she discovers his secret will she give him a chance to explain or will she walk away from something that could be the best thing that has ever happened to her

This story was a slow build up romance drama. I loved it. There was a bitchy employer, a physco ex husband and so many other obstacles, so will Danielle hold on or listen to all the other influences telling her that they are not meant to be

Sweet Awesome story

By Appointment only is a sexy read. It was written by Lisa Eugene. I absolutely love books written by Lisa Eugene. I eagerly await each and every one. This latest book was worth the wait!
It is the story of Chase Rutherford and Danielle Carmichael.
Chase is a handsome, somewhat older man. He is a millionaire who owns the special needs school that Dani's daughter attends. He also happens to be running for mayor of New York City.
Danielle is a beautiful, biracial woman. She is a bit younger than Chase. She is a very strong, tough woman who is a single mother raising a daughter, Emily. Times are tough and full of hardship, but she always makes sure that her daughter is loved and well taken care of. She works as a waitress in a small restaurant.
Chase is sure that what he and Dani do in his office, on his desk, every Tuesday is wrong. He longs for her and cannot stop the passion he feels for her. He wants to save her from certain heartache, but he can't even save himself. Dani is not sure why she keeps her appointments every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Maybe it is because it is a long-awaited break from a life that is demanding. Maybe it is because she doesn't want to be strong, unbending, and headstrong all the time. Maybe it is because she basks in the hunger and need that simmer in the way Chase looks at her. Maybe it is because of the intense praise of her body that escapes from his lips. Maybe it is because of the excitement she feels from the admiration he finds in every small aspect of her delight.
For Dani to completely give all of herself to Chase it will take a huge amount of trust. Dani doesn't ever fully have faith in anyone in her life, but she wants to entrust herself to Chase.
Dani's heart starts to mellow towards Chase. She thinks he may be hiding something behind his affectionate gazes. She isn't sure what finding out his secret is will do to her. She isn't sure if it will be awful or if it will shatter her heart. She is fearful it might be so devastating that it could finally destroy her, and she is nonbreakable.
Chase and Dani's story is sexy, hot, engaging, exciting and fast paced. I read the book in one sitting because I couldn't wait to read about what happened every Tuesday at 6. I also couldn't wait to see if Chase's had a secret, if it was revealed and if so, what it was. I liked seeing how they broke down each others walls. I liked seeing how they had to worked on building a way to cross the racial and economic barriers.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

If your like erotic stories about older men and younger women then By Appointment Only is for you.

Dannie is a single mother to Emily. Emily has been diagnosed with autism. Dannie would be anything and everything for Emily but has a hard time financially supporting them. She doesn't want help and refuses it when it's offered. She's strong and independent

Chase is the founder or Rutherford Industries and is behind the creation of the school Dannie's daughter Emily goes to . Chase has a pat he doesn't want anyone to know about abs I often wanted to know what the heck his deal was. That alone would keep anyone reading to the very end. Upon meeting Dannie he knows he wants her. He craves her and must have her. He is also a huge butt at times but that just makes him that much more fun to read. This is the beginning of a beautiful story.

By Appointment only was my first Lisa Eugene book. Im always happy to discover new authors and can't wait to read what she writes next.
