This makes naughty feel ok. When your husband only wants you as arm candy out in public and for no other reason you may find a man who actually wants to be with you for many reasons close by. That’s what Jocelyn needed in her life…her step-son! This book made you feel that the step-mother/step-son relationship was one that you were rooting for. This was a well written book that won’t let you put it down because the chemistry is off the charts.

This story focuses on the Mayor of New York’s new step wife and her new step son. Jocelyn has been married to the mayor of NYC for 6 months. Her father told her if she didn't marry the Mayor then something terrible would happen. She gives the look of perfection, never steps out of line yet her husband hasn’t touched her once during her short marriage except when in public. Enter her stepson Lance. He comes home and boy is he hot! She finds herself very attracted to him. Lance sees there is something off about his dad and stepmom’s marriage and tries to be a friend yet at the same time, he finds he is attracted to his new stepmom. He cant help it and the two try to fight this crazy yet beautiful attraction but their passion is too strong and it explodes into sparks neither could contain.

Love who you fall in love with, not whom society wants you to. That is the message I believe this story gives. I enjoyed the flow of this story and the chemistry between the MC. I rcvd an advanced reader copy for voluntarily providing a review. holy moly what a ride!!! definitely keeps you on your toes, not to mention makes any red-blooded woman head for a cold shower. we meet jocelyn, who is told by her governor father that she has to marry Michael anders, the current nyc mayor. Jocelyn agrees bc she is a good daughter abd will do anything for her dad. Michael is only marrying jocelyn as a political pawn to get votes. one thing jocelyn didnt count on what michaels stepson lance. the body of a god and only 21 yrs old. he makes her feel alive but knows its wrong to do anything. lance feels the same way but a day of shopping ay Saks leads to hawt animalistic sex. there are many secrets, some of which turn into threats being made that plan on disrupting everything. what will jocelyn do to stay happy? will lance go back to his philandering ways? what about Michael? does he harbour secrets? only time will tell as you read this explosive book!! 5+ stars!!

Ok first off in the beginning she uses the term lust muscle- I love it. And at one point they mention sweet November, which is a movie I LOVE.
Ok enough random thoughts, here’s what I think of the book. Alexis really knows how to build a moment and bring the heat. The relationship that grows from the insane chemistry between these two is sweet and I loved it. I don’t like books with cheating, I don’t like older woman/younger man situations. But first off, it’s not really cheating or it doesn’t read that way, just trust me. Second, Joselyn is only 36 so not really an older woman, just older than him. I loved this sexy sexy book, had some humor in it too. I did receive an arc, btw.

If you're looking for over-the-top sexy times, look no further than one of Alexis Angel's books. All of her books are STEAMY and she didn't disappoint with this one. You will love this older woman, younger man book. Lance is so HOT, HOT, HOT!!! This is a book full of sexy times between Jocelyn and him, but it also tells a story concerning his stepdad Michael and his bid to win his second term as New York City's Mayor. I won't leave any spoilers, so one-click and see what lengths Michael goes to to ensure that happens. Everything isn't as it seems, lol.

This was a great read a hot steamy and told to leave him alone I am married to a man in a love less marriage I am being blackmailed and have to stay married to him he does not love me or any thing then his son comes home in the summer and I really want to be with him but I can't I have one night with him and I told him we cant do this any more and then I am getting threats from someone else what do I do and his son says he loves me oh am I in trouble good hot steam read so worth it oh yeah I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. It was an ok read, the story line could really have been a full length novel with lots of details, but that's not what these stories are about. The author herself says in one of the notes that it's a **cking story or a story about **cking...same difference. So, if that's what you are looking for, this one isn't bad, I read it as a bonus in the back of Mergers & Acquisitions which I thought was a better story. There are lots of things that don't make sense but they have to happen for the sake of the story, which just doesn't work for me.

Too much of a good thing ……3.5 stars!!
Like too much chocolate. But oh, how sugary, decadent and delicious! Scandalous offers up corrupt political dealings, blackmail, and betrayal. Scandalous includes an older woman, younger man, taboo, and forbidden romance that I’ve been waiting to read.
I enjoyed reading about Lance Anders and Jocelyn Carter’s story, and I liked the characters they portrayed. Scandalous promises hot, hot, smexy goodness that makes you want to change your panties every half hour and break out the B.O.B along with extra AA batteries. But alas, like too much chocolate I was left with a pounding tooth ache. Too many sex scenes, albeit very enticing, left me bleary-eyed, and I skimmed some of the scenes from the middle of the story towards the end. It’s something I try not to do, because you know, I love smexy goodness in my romances. Huh, I was like, whaaaa? Again? Dayum! Okay. I was very much impressed with Lance’s sword length and his stamina.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked this story, but give it less stars for taking my focus from the story, and the toothache. It would otherwise be a great story. On the up side, Ms Angel gave us a surprisingly kick-ass ending for Jocelyn and Lance to get their HEA. I loved how Lance stepped up to the plate when he learned the baby was his, and for Jocelyn to become a stronger heroine. They secured their future with class and finesse, without getting smeared as cheaters in the eyes of the media, and Michael Anders got what he wanted, too.
I recommend Scandalous for those romance readers who want lots and lots of pages of lusty, smexy goodness with their stories.

Wow there is only so much hotness a person can take and let's just say this book is scorching ... Lance comes back home to his step father's house to stay but that is when he meets his step mother . His father is the mayor of New York and once Lance realized his father forced her to marry him there was no hold bar ... loved this book

Wow! Alexis writes some hot stories. I love all these guys from one57. If you haven't tried her books you need to get one, doesn't matter which one because all of the ones I've read are hot and steamy. The story about Lance and Jocelyn is at the top of the list.

Lance is the biggest party boy ever. No matter when, where or how, women want him and he's only too happy to comply. Although after almost causing World War III, he is sent home to help his step dad, Mayor Michael Anders, run for his second term. While there Lance is supposed to play happy families with his new step mum Jocelyn. When Lance and Jocelyn meet, it's instant lust, but they both resist. As they all try to live their happy life, the lies, deception and an unexpected pregnancy change the rules for them all.
If you like your stories hot and steamy and full of sex scenes, then this is the book you've been waiting for. I actually think there are more pages of sex scenes than there is of the rest of the story
I must admit I'm not a big fan of stories where people cheat, but this does have a twist you won't expect. I really enjoyed the ending, it tied everything up.

I got this book for free as an ARC from the author. I got the prequel free as well. The prequel was a short two chapter nibble that just pulled you into the world of these characters. The real meal was the full novel. I devoured it in just a few hours. It was so good I had to read it twice to make sure I did not miss anything in wanting to read is so much. It is all center around Michael Anders running for re-election as mayor of the City that Never Sleeps. You guessed it NYC in the house. There is also his stepson Lance Anders who a player in the how steam romance. It was all toe curling hot and sexy. Then there is the breathtaking and bold Jocelyn Carter.
It is a novel that grabs a hold of you and takes your for a ride that you might not be ready for, but you will never regret it. It is full of twist and highs and never fails to make you melt. It had me sitting on the end of my chair wondering how it would all go down. There is a lot of having to fan yourself in this book ladies. If you are in to the whole bad boy with a heart this book is for you. It will leave you breathless but longing for more.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy reading this book but Alexis really knows how to capture her readers attention. I was pleasantly surprised on how hot this story was and how engrossed I got. Jocelyn and Lance sure know how to make your panties wet. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts. A Must read.

What a ride!!
If you love your book to have twists and turn, smoking hot sex, blackmail, and a "forbidden" attraction.....then you have to read this!!!
I loved the way the POVs change, and at times it is though the character is directly talking to you.
I really loved this book, and will definitely be looking for more from her!!

This is probably my favorite of Alexis Angels books. The story line is great. I love the characters. The humor, and sadness of a marriage that never should have happened, to finding out what her husband kept hidden from her. Love does conquer all in this book. It made me smile, it was hot,sexy, and areal romantic story. Loved it

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this amazing well written book. I have to give this more than 5 stars. Yet again another amazing book by Alexis. Full of hot steamy goodness, amazing character chemistry and a great storyline. Truly I am loving her work. But what is there not to love. This book has it all. Amazing well written sex. Hold on to your panties girls because yep there is some hot sex in this one. But that is not all that makes this book amazing. The chemistry between Lance and Jocelyn is off the charts. He is 21 she is 35 but you wouldnt think that there was that much age difference between them. Michael you learn to just hate. He is I am sorry to say a freaking prick. Yes I went there. I never liked him until towards the end. He is a well written character but there is nothing good about him until towards the end. But Lance on the other hand, yep he has the muscles and the body but there is a sweet lovable side to him and I am so glad that Alexis brings that out of him or should I say Jocelyn. I know it is only the beginning of 2017 but this is going to be a favorite for the whole year.. Highly Highly Highly recommend. Grab this book and settle in for some steamy goodness.

This book should come with a warning!! If you love books that are HOT, then this is the book for you. It was a good thing I had a fan right beside me when I was reading this book. I would've went up in flames if I didn't.
This is the first book that I have had the pleasure of reading from this author. I will honestly say that it won't be the last.
Yes this is a subject that some people stay away from. You see the words taboo and you say no that's not the book for me. Really these characters are not blood related at all. Yes it has some hints of BDSM in it. Just enough to get you wet. The sex is out of this world.
Michael Anders is the character that we all love to hate. Even by the end of the story I still hadn't changed my mind about him. I wanted something bad to happen to him. Does that make me a bad person? I will say no.
Jocelyn and Lance were explosive together. I haven't felt this way about two characters in a long while. I couldn't put this book down and I dared my kids to bother me while I was reading this book. I wanted more when I had reached the end.

Okay so I just need to say that this was a extremely well written book.
If you can make something that is thought of as scandlous and improper as having an affair with your step son turn a total 180 and become something that is sexy and acceptable you have to be a great writer.
I'll admit I was a bit uncomfortable at first with Jocelyn and Lance hooking up but.....the further into the story the more understanding and captivated I was. Oh now, don't be judgemental. You have to read the book to understand where I'm coming from. This was not just some older woman young man liason, NO the author gave us a very detailed story and I shamefully admit I loved it. It was interesting how she twisted and explained the motivation behind the scandal. It opens your eyes to a new way of thinking or understanding.
If your not open minded, please don't read this and place nasty reviews about the authors morals or something. IT'S A BOOK. But if you love a book that wisks you away on one naughty adventure then I think you will definitely find this to your liking. I know I did!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I really liked it. It is written in first person going back and forth with the point of view being from Jocelyn and Lance. An interesting part of the first person point of view was that the main characters were often talking directly to the reader. With Lance's point of view the f-word is thrown around very often (multiple times on each page). If that bothers you, you may want to pass on this one. If you're okay with it, I suggest checking it out.
The sex scenes between Jocelyn and Lance were hot!! That boy has some stamina! I didn't like how the age difference was continually brought up with Jocelyn being described often as being much older than Lance. That was a small thing though. I did like how Jocelyn and Lance's feelings were written in a way that I always felt were sincere. Michael, Jocelyn's husband, was also written perfectly. He was the soulless politician we all love to hate. I will be reading more by this author.

If you are looking for a steamy read this is it this is the book you are looking for . They both know its wrong that they are attracted to one another they try to fight it but it reaches a point were they cant fight it anymore and when they finally let the heat go to a bowling hot just know you are going to need a cold shower and wont look at a dressing room without blushing ill tell you that . Lance is a super sexy dirty talking alpha man and once he get a taste of Jocelyn he becomes addicted . So of coarse the chemistry is off the charts steamy kindles hot . I cant wait to read more from this author
