In preparing for his return to Sydney, John has brought his people to the Community of Thunderbolt. All but two believe in him and in his Dream. Before John can make his return he must fight two battles. First, he must overcome Luke, the son of Thunderbolt’s Prime-man, who fears losing his chance to be the next leader. Second, he must convince his father that he is no longer a boy and that his Dream is real. One puts him in a life and death struggle in which John learns his people are not immune to prejudice and hatred. The other forces John to reassess everything he thought he knew and trusted about his father.
