Snapped

The line between retribution and vengeance is often just as thin as the line between love and hate.

Cillian feels his life was stolen from him and is out for revenge. Grieving and seeking retribution for the death of his twin sister, August is easy prey. Cillian latches on to his grief and feeds into it, using the Outkast as a weapon to strike out at the family that abandoned him. When August learns the truth behind his sister's death, everything changes.

Hector arrives at House Gaeland for a wedding, only to wind up in the middle of an unexpected war between brothers. He finds himself inexplicably drawn to an Outkast with hair as fiery as his temper. The immediate, intense, and mutual attraction stirs up an entirely different set of issues. To be together, August and Hector will need to thwart the most evil of plans and accomplish the most daring of rescues, all before Cirian follows through with his threat to drop August off the side of a cliff.

The people of House Gaeland have endured much, and yet, there is more trouble on the horizon. A birth and a wedding are far too much happiness for the universe to allow, so to level the playing field, the devil must add his cards to the deck. Violence begets violence and Cirian is perfectly willing to take a dagger to his brother, if need be. Will he feel the same if the blood spilled belongs to someone much closer to his heart?

Snapped is the third book in the Opposites series, the series must be read in order. It is an adult, dystopian majorly M/M series that encompasses all manners of relationships (including M/F and F/F). In this world logic is irrelevant, love is key, and things get broken—just ask Aiyan and Kaden.

*Warning* there is a brief mention of sexual assault, though not in detail.

Snapped is book three in the Opposites series and you do need to read in order. Opposites a New adult Dystopian story with all types of relationships. Though it is mostly M/M.
Snapped takes up where Appearances, Opposites two ends with House Gaeland planning a wedding, A baby on the way and a war between Cilian and Cirian brewing.
August lost his sister in a battle and is dead set on retribution. Cilian fans that fire and plans to use him as a tool to get his own revenge.

There is a lot going on in this book. This series gets better and better. I love the blend of relationships, how young Apollo has mated with the unborn baby, The tension of the fight brewing and the preparations of the wedding.

TM has given us a fabulous story with several lessons we need to take to heart, mainly Love is Love.

If you like dystopian stories, NA romance, enemies to lovers, cute kids, adorable babies, tension and of course some hot man-sex you will love this book!

Okay, first off—if you haven’t read the other books in this series, you’ll want to do that first before picking up Snapped. TM Smith has built an amazing dystopian world here in the Opposites series, and you’ll definitely want all of the background before starting this story. There’s an intricate web of characters and relationships, and every one of them play an integral part in the entire series-let alone in this book.

While the synopsis might give the impression that Snapped focuses primarily on August and Hector, we actually get a whole lot more. So many of the characters I’ve grown to love throughout this series play major roles in this installment, and at this point in the stories all of the characters have reached tremendous depth which in turn makes Snapped a richer, more robust tale. I was personally thrilled with the amount of page time Raven and Tanis had in this story, and can’t wait to read more about Apollo and Ian as this series continues.

August is bitter, devastated by his sister’s death, and wants retribution—though as time goes on he becomes more and more conflicted as he learns the full story of what happened. Cillian doesn’t care—he’s just fine using August to help him achieve his own goals as he plans his revenge on his estranged family. When Hector comes into the picture, it complicates things even more for August-leading to plenty of drama and discord as events play out. If you’re like me, you’re going to find Cillian a twisted, detestable man—he certainly plays his villain role perfectly.

What I love about this story—the emotion, the drama, the couples (I can’t get enough of Aiyan & Kayden, Raven & Tanis, and of course Cirian and Rian). The intense bonds the couples have makes it so I find myself completely invested in all of them, totally absorbed in the Opposites world. What I didn’t love—Cillian. This man has caused so much pain, and what happens here in Snapped when his plan goes a bit sideways—let me just say that he deserves a lot more than what he gets in the end. What I was a little on the fence about (and the only reason this wasn’t five stars for me)—how fast things progressed with August and Hector. Even though other couple matches in this series have been just as fast, if not faster (I’m looking at you two Aiyan and Kayden!), for some reason with August and Hector it felt just a bit too fast for me. They’re still a hot and steamy matchup, and I really liked how protective Hector was of August.

Snapped is a great entry in the Opposites series, and satisfied my need for more of the couples in this world while really piquing my interest for what will come in the future for little Apollo and Ian (oh my goodness Apollo was just wonderful in this story!). 4.5 stars, and I do very highly recommend this series to all M/M romance fans, and dystopian fans in particular. This story is meant for readers 18+ for adult language and explicit, scorching hot M/M sexual content. There is a scene dealing with sexual assault that may be disturbing or a trigger for some readers.

This book is jammed packed full of action, passion, and heartache. It has been a while since I read the previous books in this series, but with this book, I became reacquainted with the many Opposites characters.

I so look forward to more of Apollo and Ian. There is so much to their story, and I can't wait to find out what that is.

oh my god when is the next book in this series due I can't stand a long wait ! I can't believe there is a cliff hanger.
I enjoyed this book immensely. I was draw right back into the land inhabited by these strong loyal loving people. I so enjoy how this series has been written. Even though I know this is set in the future I have a hard time picturing the castle as anything other than a medieval English castle. Especially apart from one mention of the computer room technology isn't really mentioned.
I don't want to mention much of the story as I don't want to give spoilers.
I love the relationship between all the husbands. The laughter brought to horrid situations. The hot sex everybody seems to be having. I especially really enjoyed Apollo and his relationship with Ian.
I am truly beginning to feel a connection with this series which I didn't think I would when I started the series. But I so need the next book really quickly I want to see the way this series goes.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who wants a change of genre.

I did not read the preceding books in this series, so when I started this book, it took me a bit to get into the story. My fault entirely, but I certainly plan to read the others and then probably read this one again in order to get the full TM Dystopian World effect.

This book is fantastic. From the very first page I was drawn into the world and though I struggled a bit to catch up and some things just never quite gelled for me since I had not started at the beginning, I still loved it. There was every emotion available present, all squeezed into a huge cast of characters, compared to most books I have read, but every one of them were totally unique and interesting in their own right.

I look forward to finding out just where they all started when I go back and start at the beginning of this epic series.

The Characters have so much hate and anger for the ones that have destroyed their family and taken the life of their sister. Brother against brother will bring a new view to battle divide in family. Cillian is out for vengeance and will not let anything stand in his way for it even his brother August. Can love truly conquer the thirst of vengeance will Rian be able to break the ice around Cillian heart? The couple in this story will pull on your heart string as they take you through emotional ride of up and down. Highly recommend this book

T.M. Smith has done it again! I absolutely LOVED this engrossing third entry in the Opposites series. Filled with love, hate, passion, revenge, plots, counter plots, tragedy, heartbreak, redemption, and hope, this fantastic story had me hooked from the very first page. I recommend you start with the first book in the series so you can truly appreciate just how compelling it is.

I have not gotten to read the previous books in this series as of yet but nonetheless this book was still excellent and exciting. T.M. Smith made it easy to pick this book up and to be able to read it and not feel lost since I have not read the other books. I really love that about an author. There is times when we read a description of a book and know immediately that we want to read this book as soon as possible but do not want to have to go back to read the previous books first in order to get an understanding of what is going on, that is exactly what T.M. Did with this series.

I have to say that I am truly hooked on this series now though and that I will be going back to books one day two and reading them. It may be a little backwards but hatnis ok because I know from this one I will thoroughly enjoy them if they are even half as good as this one.

There are many different characters in this series that are covered in this book. And not really one specific set of characters that the book is primarily about but to be honest that is what makes this book so good. Because it does not allow the reader to get tired or bored with the characters because you are constantly getting different views of things happening from different petiole.

In the end his book in my opinion is about all these different houses and families coming together to try and fight evil and to make their families stronger. Each set of family is slowly intertwining to make one big family by different sets of individuals in the families mating and marrying.

Each of these people are affected by the evil of one man and each of them feel the depth of the pain and heartache that instilled on them but they all come together to get over what has happened to them and to help heal each other.

This book was adventurous and exciting. There was never a dull moment. I truly look forward to the next book in this series because I am seriously hooked. With this book and th multiple characters, T.M. Smith definitely made an impression on me with how amazing of an author T.M. Truly is. I am definitely a fan now. I look forward to more.

“Love, compassion, trust and commitment aren’t just words… they are feelings that live and breathe because of the people that share them.”
What a roller coaster ride this third installment of the Opposites series takes readers on, once again filling my heart, then breaking it, only for Rian’s courage, bolstered by Cirian’s unwavering love, to piece it back together again. This book moves quickly, and has a fairly large cast of characters, so I would absolutely recommend starting at the beginning of the series to fully grasp the nuances as we live through both the impending social upheaval and Cillian’s quest for vengeance. Even with so much going on though, it’s the relationships between a few key characters and the way we experience the overwhelming and unconditional connections between them that continues to move me. There is a reverence in the way Raven and Tanis love each other that is humbling to me as a reader, and with Kayden and Aiyen still firmly entrenched in my heart, I loved that the intensity between them seems to only strengthen with time. (I was also glad to see that they still pose a distinct threat to most household furnishings with the ferocity of the way they love each other.) Without a doubt, my favourite pairing in this book had to be Apollo and Ian however, and I am so anxious to see what the future holds for them.
Please note that I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
