A Voice in the Wind revolves around a slave girl, Hadassah, who was sold to serve Julia Valerian, a girl from a rich merchant’s family, after the first Jewish-Roman War. Hadassah tries her best to follow her religion and obey the teachings of Jesus, but at the same time, she has to conceal it for her survival. Hadassah then develops a romance with Julia’s brother Marcus, a rich, handsome, and understanding man, but their class and religious differences make it anything but simple. Was Hadassah’s love and strife fruitful? This story is full of surprises and excitement. The Mark of the Lion series has already captured the minds of two million readers all over the world, and A Voice in the Wind secured the title of the bestselling book for the series.

A wonderful read with a predictable ending but making me very sad. Hadassah is a remarkable Christian role model and the other various characters are real, and a combination of evil, greedy, and heartfelt. I highly recommend this book.
