It was extremely boring and took forever to go anywhere, and when it finally went somewhere it was very rushed. It didn't give me the same bubbly feeling I had when I read Taylor's first book Just Friends but instead left me feeling like I had wasted my time. The characters weren't interesting enough to drag me in, but because I always feel obligated to finish what I start, I was forcing myself to read the book. The author also became lazy writing sentences like, "I can't describe everything I saw. All I can say is that it's great." This is actually straight from the book. I've never read a book where an author has written so poorly. Overall I got nothing out of it and was left feeling upset. If you're looking for something similar to Just Friends then you're looking in the wrong direction.

Um nope. For me, it's too childish like these books I used to read on Wattpad when I was in the first year of middle school and I'm putting that nicely.

In Billy Taylor's book, “mutual feelings”, he talks about how a man named Will Evans goes through life with his best friend, Ted, inseparable since the fourth grade. Together they go through the struggles of everyday life through love, loss, happiness, sadness and anger. Will and Ted help each other through their love lives but Will’s situation is much more difficult than Ted’s is. Ted helped Will when he found a girl he liked who’s name is Zac. Zac worked at the cinema and that is where Will met her. Will and Zac decide on having a “friends with benefits” type of relationship. Zac was hurt in the past so it is difficult for her to commit to and love someone again. One day, Zac had made Will and Ted toast for breakfast. She took a tiny corner bite out of each piece which was a sign of comfort because Zac has done that only with toast ever since she was little. Will had asked her why she never ate and she told him about her ex and how she had stopped eating to try to get the body her boyfriend wanted in a girl. Little did Zac know, Will’s sister had an eating disorder as well, so Will knew how to handle the situation and told Zac she could meet with his sister to discuss how she overcame her disorder. This situation becomes more difficult when they both catch feelings for each other but won't tell one another in fear of ruining their deal. When Will helped Ted find a girl, things became even more difficult for Will knowing that Ted could actually have a title with this girl. But this story is not just about two people struggling with love. It is about how they struggle to get through it and when they no longer have hope, they find it. When things start to fall apart, they stick by each other’s side and fight through the pain together, but bad beginnings eventually lead to great endings with the love they shared for one another. The relationship between Will and Zac blossoms throughout the story and they grow together making each other stronger everyday.

I enjoyed this book, but its not my favorite that I've read. My favorite part of this book is all the life lessons you learn. Most of them I've learned already but some of them are ones to be thinking about and to take advice from.
The author of this book. I'll say he definitely knew what he was talking about. He was very detailed about each lesson he learned. I enjoyed it a lot and I do recommend it to teenagers. Its a good read for teens in the obstacles they overcome throughout their high school career.

what the hell did I just read... this is what happens when you don't bring any books home for spring break, you have to read the published version of the entire app of wattpad. and they worked at an ice cream factory. I'm crying. nothing like an awful book to get you out of a reading slump, I needed this bad.

I gave this book a 4/5 stars. It was a great book, don't get me wrong. I am just not a very big fan of how the ending was spaced out so much. It literally skips 18 month. Even though Will explains what went on in those months in my opinion I think Billy Taylor should have filled it in.
At the beginning of the book, I knew that something tragic was going to happen simply because of the first chapters. I didn't think that what did happen would that's forsure. That caught me by surprise.
This book was very gripping, I just never had the time to sit and read it until midnight one night, I read 400/577 pages of it (on my phone idk how many pages the actual book is) one night and was up until about 3 am before I knew what time it was. If you like love books, with slight thrill then this book is one you should read. I suggest that you read his first book called "Just Friends".

Book Review Six

The book, Mutual Feelings by Billy Taylor is an interesting story about two best friends that have been going through life with each other. They both find the love of their life, and they are willing to risk everything to be with these women. This story has a very interesting twist, the main characters are a “couple”, Will and Zac, there’s a unique component to their relationship, they are essentially friends with benefits. Will wants it to be more than that, but Zac had been in bad relationships in the past and was not ready to open her heart to Will, so she made rules when it came to each other. This could essentially hurt there relationship as a whole, or it could strengthen it to make them feel more for each other than they ever have.
Will and Ted have been best friends since 4th grade, they know everything about each other. They have been living together since they graduated high school, and they both work at the same company, Ted’s father’s company, Ron’s ice cream. They do everything together, they are always there for each other, especially when it comes to girls. Ted and Will went to the movies, as they’re walking up to the ticket stand, Will notices the girl taking tickets. He can’t keep his eyes off of her, and he finds her to be the most beautiful girl that he has ever laid eyes on, and he is determined to make friends with her. When they got up to the ticket stand, he looked at her name tag, her name was Emily. He began a conversation with her, So the next day, they had planned on going back to the movie theatre after they got off work. So they did, and went and talked to Emily, she was surprised to see them again, Will finally gathered up the courage to ask her out on a date. He then learned of her real name, Zac, she was embarrassed of it because it was a boy’s name, so on her name tag she picked a casual name to avoid getting looks from people. She accepted, they had planned to meet for pizza and drinks after she got off work. Their date went so well, that they went back to Will’s apartment after. That is when they started the friends with benefits phase of their relationship. As their relationship continued, Zac set some ground rules to avoid, their friendship turning into a real relationship because she was not ready. For example, no PDA outside of Will’s bedroom, no PDA in public where people could see, so basically outside of the apartment they were strictly just friends. This just made Will want to be her boyfriend more than he had before, which was not what Zac had in mind when she put the rules in place. As time went on, Will and Zac basically lived together, and he had started noticing that she doesn’t eat that much, when he asked her about it, she revealed that she had a severe eating disorder, as a result of her last relationship. Her ex left her for another girl, who was “prettier, skinnier, and way better than her” which made her sick to her stomach when she looked at herself in the mirror. When her parents found out, they kicked her out of their house because they were so disappointed in her. She moved in with her best friend, Vanessa. Will then shared with Zac, that his sister had a severe eating disorder as well, and that she almost died when she was 16. Will wanted Zac to meet his sister so that she could help Zac realize how important her disorder is, and how she cured her own. She tried her method, and it really helped her overcome it, and she felt like a new person. After she cures herself, she realizes that she has strong feelings for Will, and knows that she wants to be with him, and she knows that he wants to be with her. She knows that she wants to open her heart to him, that he will make her the happiest girl in the world, and she is determined to make their time together last a lifetime. Once they find out that they’re expecting a child, she knows she can make that happen.
The only other Billy Taylor book that I have read is Just Friends, and I found that book very intriguing, and the plot is very original, and different from most romance novels. I enjoyed both of these books, and loved how the stories developed, and how the characters came to be as the story continued. I would like it if he wrote more novels similar to these ones. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance novels with a twist. These will be very enjoyable to you.

Absoltuely terrible. My rating should be less than zero stars.

What is this terrible terrible bland book? The characters have no dimensions. There is absolutely no plot. The “plot” of the book came in the very end and was resolved in a couple of pages. The author should have wrote ‘hey reader, you’re a moron, here’s a perfectly perfect cheesy happy ending.’

I didn’t even know that this book had a part one. I cannot believe that people actually sat through the agony of that first book with these terrible characters. I swear, I have zero experience in writing a novel but I think I would have done a better job than this author. It is one of the most boring, most bland, most annoying books I have ever read (and I have read many of those).

There is no constructive criticism here. I’m just ranting about how terrible this book was. It was a complete waste of time. I only went through with it to find out what the big twist is but it was terrible! TERRIBLE. It’s not even textbook novel-writing.

Anyways, don’t read this book. It’s not romance. Not life changing. Not funny. Not geeky. Sooooo not witty. I mean, the author tried but failed. Tough luck.

I decided to read this book as I really enjoyed the first book in this series. This book gave me all sorts of emotions and did not disappoint.

This book begins a few days after August and Ethan’s story. It focuses on Will Evans. He lives a ordinary life working and living alongside his best friend, Ted, who have been inseparable since they were four years old. That doesn’t change when they both start seeing girls they’re sure they are going to marry. Will’s situation is a little bit more complicated. He wants something more than a physical relationship, but she has been hurt before and doesn’t want anything serious. Can Will convince her to give him a chance and let their feelings become mutual? Will Ted and Will get the happily ever after they deserve? This novel is set in the UK as Rosie who is Will’s sister comes over from America.

I really enjoyed this book. My favourite parts are the flirting between Will and Zac and with Ted and Autumn. I love the roommate/found family aspect of this book and the chemistry between them all. I loved August, Ethan and Madeline’s reappearance and sort of hoped they would be in it for longer. I had so many questions during this book and still have so many questions. The only thing I didn’t like about this book was how many chapters there were. I felt like the book dragged a bit at the beginning and it was very slow but then by the middle and end of the book I wanted to finish it and know what was going on. At the same time, I had more questions and I want another book with Zac and Ted especially Ted, I want to know more of his story.

The truth is, this book does not disappoint. Ethan and August, from the previous book are barely a part of the story, but surprisingly enough, this story was even more beautiful. I was able to relate to the characters and I was drawn to the story from the beginning.

Ted and Autumn's love story was absolutely beautiful and although it was cut short, it even made the story more relatable, as I, myself, lost my best friend due to the same circumstances as Autumn's. I could feel the pain the characters felt and I related to their emotions from the moment they were at the hospital to dealing with loss after the funeral.

Will and Zach's story was also pretty great and seeing how he cared for her and how he was willing to give her whatever she wanted to make her happy sets yet another insanely high standard for the perfect man.

I definitely loved Ted and Will's connection from the beginning. Their traditions were simply adorable and their friendship was just wonderful to learn about.

This story made laugh out loud, cry, smile and reminded me of the importance of taking a chance and enjoying life, as we never know when it will end. I definitely recommend. This is definitely a good one.

I really loved the first one of this author, but the writing fell a little flat for me. It was choppy, and the conflict between Zac and Will seemed juvenile and annoying. Their problems were just so trivial compared to the big issues that the book tries to take on throughout the plot. The ending also was quite abrupt with what occurred. It over complicated simple problems and simplified serious issues. I know I’m being critical, but I didn’t absolutely hate the book. There were moments that I did really enjoy which is why it’s a 3 and not lower.

4.5!

Loved this book but not as much as Just Friends so hence the rating! :) deals with eating disorder but I'm reading with new eyes so I can't make any judgements and comments except that it is quite realistic to me and I love how the characters deals with it. :) overall a heartfelt book once again billy Taylor did a great job!

I cried all the book, it's so beautiful. How to people are destined to be together, but it takes time and patience for it to happen. How someone can restore you fate and trust into love, and if it's really true love time is irrelevant. Billy Taylor really know how to touch your heart, it's a masterpiece.

This book wasn't the best, and most of the time it was predictable about what was going to happen. There were parts where it was boring and when something interesting happened, it was very rushed as though the scenes were in a hurry. However, it was a decent book but it should have been more detailed and specific so that the reader would actually understand what is happening.

A very good book! 4 stars overall because I like my love stories to be realistic, and this one seemed a little too good to be true. Maybe I've been reading too many Nicholas Sparks novels, but I like drama in my love stories and this one was smooth sailing for most of the book.

Although there were still some grammar mistakes and it started off a little slower, it picked up really quickly but did not move too fast and like Just Friends the ending was absolutely adorable and I cried... I cry a lot over books but it was really good

Honestly this book was painfully boring and lacked depth. No nuance, and the characters were superficially developed. The way the plot was built also dragged on for 3/4 of the book until its completion with a very sappy ending.

Idk why I bothered reading this when I didn’t like “Just friends”, but I think it was better in the writing style part from the details, like I didn’t understand why the author needed to describe how Will climbed the stairs.

Overall, a happy end!
