I really got pulled into Cat’s story. His character is believable and the situations he has to deal with, both in game and out, are interesting.
I will not spoil anything and will just say that at the end, something occurred which I did not anticipate. Though there was tie in information scattered briefly throughout the book and some of the reveal was not too surprising, one part of it definitely was! I’m looking forward to seeing how the story evolves in the next book.
I very much enjoyed this, not perfectly translated but is great quality compared to a lot of LitRPGs that have been coming out of Russia lately. For example, one phrase, in particular, stood out to me: 'curb stomp' was translated as 'curb stormed'. I will absolutely check out the sequel, which I think has promise, though it will be a difficult act to follow.
I passed up this book multiple times when I saw it's description, then I saw a 4-star review from a friend, and decided to give the book a try anyway. As it turns out, After reading only a few chapters, I was thinking my attempt to avoid the book was fully justified. Then it got interesting, and the rest followed on from there, and I have to say that I'm very glad I did read this one, it was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to more from this author and this series. Great stuff here, even if it is a bit of a slow start.
Didn't expect this to be as interesting as it actually turned out to be! Sets up an interesting world and actually has villians with comprehendible motivations which makes a nice change for Litrpg's.
professional MMORPG Trader gets banned from his main game and starts new character i another game with the goal to make real world money fast. After a time he finds an IMBA sword... Interesting on the part where different trading strategies are explained and how the trader rigs the deck to his fortune. For the sword part the motivations behind are often in the dark - some more explanations would be fine. also the end has some kind of cliffhanger i am not really happy with. Anyway - fun book.

Mistakes: I found a handful scattered throughout this book. Some clearly marked for editing. Plot: I rather like the idea of a game with hundreds, if not thousands of planets that you can game on. The story takes place on one of those many worlds. Characters: Don't like him. He started off cheating and lieing. His actions late in the story, while honorable, don't make up for the first impression. 7.5/10 I hope that the MC improves as a person in book two.
