Molly’s friends think she should be dating her friend Daniel. Molly’s mom thinks they’ll make the perfect couple. And Daniel’s young daughter thinks they should just hurry up and get married already.
It might not be that simple though. Molly is getting a little tired of explaining why a romantic relationship with Daniel would be too complicated. But when Daniel admits that he wants what everyone else wants for them, staying friends no longer feels like the simplest option.
Most of Amanda's books are love stories featuring Christian characters, which sounds way less preachy than Christian love stories. Two books have received the CWG Seal of Approval: Andrew's Key (2014) and The Art of Introductions(2021). Three books have earned Catholic Media Association Book Awards: They See a Family (2019), What Goes Around (2021) and The Art of Introductions (2022).
This is the fourth book from the Coffee and Donuts series. All the books involve members of the same church who all get together for coffee and donuts following the service. Nice faith core behind each story too.
In this one the issue is whether or not Molly and Daniel will start dating. Everybody sees it happening but Molly. It is just too complicated for her. She has been in some relationships that didn't end well and doesn't want to hurt anyone again-especially Daniel because she really likes him. It got a little frustrating as Molly kept pulling back even though everyone, including family of both, thought they needed to start dating.
Daniel is a widower. Nine years older then Molly. Molly is the nanny for Daniel's daughter's best friend so Daniel and Molly end up seeing each other quite a bit.
