His first series is the End Gate Chronicles is a modern-day urban fantasy following an older widow, who discovers her own magic late in life.
His second series, Enter the louVRe, is set inside a video game, where an evil AI has trapped players and stolen their memories. Now, our hero, a minotaur, must save the world from destruction if he is to have any hope of unraveling the AI’s plans and escape the game unscathed.
His third series, The Frost Fervor Concordance, is set in a fantastical frozen wasteland, where a young fisher comes home to find her village burned and her parents killed. Short, intense and riveting with only 26 pages to convey the message an outstanding job is done. Fly along with a top notch torpedo pilot as he intercepts an enemy air ship. Past do not blink or you will miss this fantastic ride!
This is steampunk, and I get it, anachronisms are abound, but that is not the problem here. This read like a bad 80's movie in steampunk. Ruskies? The feel of this was just off for me. Also, steampunk time period, the Army had boot camp, not basic. The story has too much wrong in such a small place.
Not my typical read, but not bad at all. It was super short I think I read it in, at most, 30 minutes. There was a lot of detail but it wasn’t overwhelming. I loved the second by second breakdown at launch. It gives a good sense of what this author has in store with his other work.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
