I really enjoyed these crazy characters who had nothing to lose. It is savage, vicious, bloody and sexy and made me laugh at times at just how crazy each member of the team is.
The stories are short but good and they all flow on from one another.
You will definitely like this if you like a little crazy and unpredictable and sexy hot shifters.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
She is running, not something unfamiliar to Kayla, but this time it is for a much better purpose. All of a sudden this creepy guy grabs her and takes her somewhere she is not sure of. She is being told that he knows where the twins that she fell in love with so many years ago are. She misses them, and there is something she is keeping from them, it is Kayla's secret, but that secret has been taken from her. When she left them it really was for something temporary and because of her brothers death. Little did she know that would be the last time she would see the two men she loved more than anything. Now she is here, she is brought into the room and sees them for the first time, and her heart stops for a moment....is this true? Is this a dream? What is happening right now.
The werelion twins, Rio and Ryker, are fresh back from a mission. In the process of this mission ending their "leader" shows up and says that he has Kayla. The guys are dumbfounded and all their instincts kick in. They do not want her touched by anyone, especially him. When they see her standing there, and now there is a slip of the tongue (yeah right) from the crazy leader they have, they know they are fathers to twin boys, and now the worst part is they find out their twin boys were taken from Kayla by the crazy hyena shifter that killed their entire family. This is not going to end well for that hyena.
They are reintroduced, and reintroduced (catch the drift, right?!) then it is time to talk. Kayla tells them everything she has been up to and what happened, and why she is where she is. Something about her being there with them feels right. To all three of them. But the task at hand is to rescue their kids. All the Shifter Squad Nine has taken up the cause to rescue those twin boys, that is not to say that they have an easy task ahead of them. It will happen, but not smoothly....because it seems when this Squad has a mission just like this, it never comes easy.
They find the building and the main man holding their boys hostage. One is so ill and hooked up to wires that it doesn't look like he will pull through. There is no sign of the other twin. Now this is all out war. Rio and Ryker try hard to convince Kayla to stay back with their one son while the Squad goes searching for the other one. Oh no way, she is a momma coming after the people who harmed her babies. That is a woman the big bad hyena didn't want to face. There is a trap, and now the Squad is dealing with injuries. But not before getting their other son as well as a lot of other shifter kids out from under the claws of this very bad hyena. Bombs and the fun that Rio and Ryker and the Squad like are in there, as is a very happy ending for these two werelion dads, the woman the love and their boys healthy and alive.

Fighting Til The End!!!
Kayla Malone has always loved the Tyren twin brothers, when she found herself pregnant with their babies she was the happiest woman alive cause it neant a piece of Rio and Ryker would always be with her. But when her twin boys are taken away from her. She kept on fighting for her sons.
Ryker and Rio Tyren, twin Lion shifters, ex-Navy SEALs and members of the elite Shifter Squad Nine lost their entire pride when they were cubs and they couldn't do anything to save their loved ones only listened as they were all getting murdered.
The Tyren twins and Kayla lost touch with each other for years when they finally reunited, there were lots of unexpected and wonderful surprises they had to deal with. Like getting back their sons Rylen and Rhamos from a dangerous group who was trafficking shifter babies.
After finding one of their boys Rylen in critical condition in one of The Arctics compounds, Kayla, Rio and Ryker left no stone unturned until they tracked down their other son, Rhamos.
A nemesis from the Tyren twins' past was back to destroy their parent and future but the enemy underestimated the twin lions. When all was said and done, there was punishment and rewards.

Love!
I love this series so far mostly for the good vs bad plot as there really isn't any romance or hardly any (just 2) non descriptive sex scenes/parts & lots of action.
Rio & Ryker are lion twins (& other than the 1 & only scene where they change into their lion forms you really wouldn't know that they were shifters) who when they were little watched their family get murdered by hyenas. When they were young adults they found their mate but then also lost her (especially when their mate's mother lied to them).
Kayla, had gone to he!p her mom bury her brother & then discovered that she was pregnant; when she went bad to where she had been living with Rio & Ryker they were gone & she thought that they died. 4 years after she had her boys (twins) they were kidnapped from her & she's been trying to find them ever since. & then she's saved & kidnapped by Rio & Ryker's boss Spade (no one really likes him as he not only keeps info from them but also sometimes uses them for his own purposes) who then takes her to meet Rio & Ryker.
If this review makes you want to find out if they get back together & finds their children & you like good vs bad plots with lots of fast paced action then this series is the one to read.

Raaawr
Like all of MS. Nowlans stories I truly enjoyed reading this book. I have enjoyed the squad series and this new one takes the cake. This book does not take long to read and is extremely hard to put down once you get started. I enjoy getting to know the whole squad in every book not just the main characters. I feel for Ryker and Rio and what they went through as children . I like but i am frustrated with Kayla but I feel her pain when it comes to her children. This book will have you feeling like its real and that you are hearing the story from a friend so it gets you emotional. Now Spade on the other hand ugh... I have never wanted to kill a person soooo bad. At the end of the shifter squad six series I hoped he got a happy ending but now that we are into shifter squad nine he is too much. I love the crew and can't wait for the rest of the books but I am anticipating Spades demise and would enjoy it if he were accidentally in one of the buildings the twins blew up. All in all I recommend this book and this series if you don't have Kindle unlimited it is worth buying. Heck it's worth buying even if you do have Kindle unlimited.

Kayla the human finds it "impossible" to have any other man touch her after separating from the twin. Rio and Ryker however, full shifters with the knowledge that Kayla is their mate, "fooled around" because that's just how it's done. According to Rio- "six years is an impossibly long time to go without sex". Can this book get any better? why is it necessary for all these books to ensure that we know -in express detail- that these women were neutered by love. That they are pure, ready and welcoming for the supposed loves of their lives whenever they might return. These books are not for women or about women. These piles of drivel are merely a tool to further demean women's value and assert patriarchal ideology. What's the point of reading about a supposedly all consuming love when it is conditional? The worst part is that this introduction HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REST OF THE STORY. Why is it SO important to stress that she still has virtue when it does nothing to add substance? They don't even mention it anywhere else. Can we only like these female characters if they are "pure"? Are they only valuable because they are? To add salt to the wound, this story is UNORIGINAL. We've read it before, seen it before. Every single part of this format is copied and adapted from every other similar book. This includes the purity introduction. I have no clue what anti-female agenda these authors are supporting but they are spreading the word!

The Tyren twins Rio and Ryker are lion shifters who work in the shifter squad nine. Thier boss kidnapped a women from thier past. Kayla, thier mate. The one thier lost years ago. But she has her own surprise to tell them.
Wow fantastic action it's a great storyline with awesome characters. Shifter squad nine characters are larger then life. The interaction in the squad is wild lol. This was great. Shifter fans will love it.

Loved it
The story kept me captivated the whole time. When Rio and Ryker discovered their mate had their cubs during the six year separation life turned around fast. When they found out the cubs had been kidnapped five years earlier by the Artic they joined together with a single minded focus to rescue their boys.

Great story!
I really enjoyed this well written story. The storyline is fast paced, full of action, and sex with two hot cat shifters. The characters are strong and likeable and you are very glad when the three come back together for not only the kittens but for them selves. Loved that I could get the audio option also!

Someone kick Slade really hard!!!!

Mended men
Rio and Ryker are pretty messed up men however they still hold some of their humanity. When they find out about Kayla and that they have kids they had a chance at changing their life. I think the best part of this series is that all the men on the team are broken and all are being given a chance to be mended. I am thinking Spade is doing this because he wants the men to fight for their families so they will be stronger and more controlled. He is the scariest person so far in these stories.

Firstly, I have to say that this is the first time that I have teared up not just at the beginning of a book but at the end as well. Definitely a first for me.
This Shifter Squad 9 series is in a league of its own. I enjoyed book 1 about Dice but this is on another level again. Ryder and Rio are two hot Werelions, thinking that their mate Kayla Malone is dead. When she is brought back to them by sneaky boss Slade, I don't know who is more surprised, Ryker, Rio or Kayla. True love never dies. Never realising how their lives will be changed more so than before. If the twins child hood memories weren't bad enough, the shock of finding out they have sons is even more of a shock. Lots of passion, drama, family loyalty, action, fights, guns AND THEN it gets even more extreme. Total chaos, mayhem sex and a story you don't want to end. Brilliant.

This is a really good paranormal romance series with lots of action and romance. This is the second book in the series and it actually is related to another series that ended last year. The series features shifters who are soldiers and work for an organization that tries to combat some of the dangerous groups out there. They also have a boss that doesn't shy from hiding important information from them. When these men get involved with women, it tends to lead to danger and pain.

This is one of Anya Nowlan's best books as far as I'm concerned, it has twists, turns, pedal to the metal action and it all comes down to one thing : family !! Watching while one family is decimated and years later finding out that they have twin sons who need saving and their mate Kayla has been doing alone the whole time !! Outstanding story and i still don't know if Spade " The Boss" of theirs at The Firm is a goid guy, bad guy or out for himself !! If you like paranormal romance, thrillers and watching alpha guys blow things up, this story is for you !! 5⭐'s . I received a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

Wow..just what ca be better then a curvy, sassy, sexy and determined heroin and not one, no, but two smoking hot, bad ass, alpha males who will rock your world. There s intrigue and suspense, a wonderful background story and a steamy hot romance that captivates the reader at first glance.
You don t have to read the whole series to get the whole picture which in my books is a definite plus but this book is a must read for all PNR addicts.

These guys have been through hell and back again and now they find out they're fathers and their children are held captive, for anyone else this might be too much to deal with. But for these three, yes, it includes their mate, it only makes them more determined. You really want Spade to get his though. Lots of action and even more teamwork involved in this episode.

As children, Ryker and Rio witness their entire Pride being brutally murdered by hyenas; how can they forget something like that or the principal perpetrators responsible. Together with Kayla, their lives have been filled with booze, drugs, tattoos, fights and petty theft, but when Kayla’s brother dies of an overdose, Kayla acts and leaves without so much as a word; even knowing Ryker and Rio are her mates, she realises she cannot “fix” them. When Kayla becomes pregnant she tries to find Ryker and Rio, but to no avail; likewise, they try to find her, but it seems she didn’t want to be found. Spade knows everything and when a friend of his asks for help in finding his son, Hank, Spade has a mission for Shifter Squad Nine and brings Kayla into the mix. What the team are not aware of is that Kayla’s son Rylen is also being held, so Ryker and Rio are doubly shocked; first at seeing Kayla and then learning they are fathers, but worse than that someone has dared to take their babies. Kayla, Ryker and Rio have not seen each other for six years and none of them were what they used to be; she had changed more than she cared to admit in the pursuit of trying to track down her children. This mission is different from the usual Artics’ operations and Spade has not provided much intel. Hank is found safe and well, but Rylen is not so fortunate and only Rhamos is in a position to help him. Kayla, through devious means, finds out that the Wanderers, an organisation sympathetic to The Arctics, is responsible for Rhamos’ abduction, but more surprising is the fact that Sawyer, the man who killed Ryker and Rio’s Pride, is implicated. When other lives are at risk, a choice has to be made. Ryker and Rio need Shifter Squad Nine’s help to exact vengeance, but this leads to severe consequences. Once again, another excellent story from this author, which I would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Hear me roar! But I'm gonna need a flame torch
Wow! Ryker and Rio's story was hot. They kept me on my feet. I loose, gain and loose again it earth shattering to most but the Tyren twins have been throughout he'll and back. As alpha twins having to watch your family ripped and shredded to pieces by a bunch of scavengers hyenas. I'm glad their mommas scarred Sawyer before the end. You wonder why they are a little psycho well you would be too. But to have that bastard get a hold of your kid then let the mighty lion roar. Kayla is one bad a.. chick. You have to be to be the Tyren's mate. She thought she couldn't be what they wanted her to be at the time and regretted never telling them she had their boys. But once someone took her kids all gloves came off of this spices woman. She already thought she lost the loves of her live and now to have her kids taken away by some maniacs. Never mess with a mother bent on rescuing her family. And of course Stone is thrown in this. I don't know whether he is good or just plain evil. I'm hoping he has a pretty darn good reason for being a prick. He uses people weekends to get results but is for the greater good. One day he is going to go too far. This book had my adrenaline pumping and I could not put it down. I don't want to give up the story just know this is an explosion of a story so you better be ready.

Ryker and Rio Tysen are a force to be reckoned with. Yep these two enjoy carnage alot...but they do have a soft side. After what happened to there family when they was kids I'm not really surprised these two are the way they are. They both have demons and enjoy the fight and enjoy sharing it seems.
Kayla is a fighter and has her own troubled past that entwined with her twins. Yep her twins, this fun, nutty trio are mates. She left them cause of some personal issues but left with part of them. Twin boys. Then she has to deal with her kids being kidnapped and she spends 2 years searching and getting into trouble.
Spade arhhhhhhhh I really want him to hurt. But he does bring these three together again and on the search for the kids. Omg this is so heartbreaking and frustrating to read. Have I mentioned I want Spade to hurt? He has no soul and I'm guessing he will get worse. The team wow are starting to though not quite trusting yet. But kids lives in danger they will work together just fine. It seems aswel that Ryker and Rio are starting to trust Dice to. It really angers me how kids are treated in this book. But the squad mess up some of the bases so woohooo.
My heart broke alot in this book but the trio getting back together was great.

After watching their family murdered, Ryker and Rio Tyren are a little bit unhinged. When their mate fled 6 years earlier, they become even more unbalanced until she is brought to them on a mission to help them find a missing child. Kayla ran after the death of her brother with the hope that she wouldn't bring the boys down in the darkness with her. When her twin sons are kidnapped, she is determined to fight to find them no matter the cost. Will Ryker and Rio be able to forgive her for keeping the boys a secret? Will they be able to find both their sons in time? Will they all finally get the happy ever after that always seemed impossible?
Book 2 in the Shifter Squad Nine series was a success in my opinion. I loved how we got complete backgrounds on both sides and how while the men were hotheaded, they were able to pull it together to find their sons and come out safely. Big thing with me is how they all took responsibility for the way things turned out with how they all should have continued searching for the other. Ryker and Rio's personalities were different and in my opinion it pulled the triad together perfectly! Can't wait for book 3 in the series!

Twin Action
Ryker, Rio and Kayla's story was exciting. Squad Shifter Nine is a really strong group of characters and the women involved are strong and add depth to eAch of the members. Ryker and Rio are hard and strong twin alpha lion shifters who have dealt with enormous tragedy. Their chosen professions reflects that. It is where they feel comfortable. Granted their team is composed of a group of psychopaths who any of them would never turn their backs on individually because the trust factor is difficult to achieve, but as a team there is blind trust. Now the twins must deal Slate's latest scheme...This time it affects their lives.
Kayla is a bad ass, who is on her own personal mission when she is saved by a mysterious and creepy shifter. This guy, named Slate, saves her, but he also has plans for her.
This is an action packed story with some very hot scenes. I enjoyed it, but there where errors such as referring to the twins as werebears and grammatical errors as well. I personally sis not like cover of this one. Neither model really represented accurately the twins.
