Those of you who have read THE ARRANGEMENT can rejoice to see glimpses of Ben and Claire in this follow up from their novel.

AN ACCIDENT, is the second installment of A Summer in New York series and focuses on an aspiring painter and an aspiring chef.

Both with different upbringings and backgrounds, they meet by chance of fate, and from there their whirling romance is met with ups and downs along with striving to prove themselves within their own choice of career.

Over all for me, I liked it. It wasn't too dramatic or over the top although there was one character that embodied the stereotypical rich-bitch mom personna. But other than that, it was a cute read about love, dreams and aspirations.

One of those overlooked series that I would recommend to other readers.

I adored An Accident as much as I did with An Arrangement! Amy and Austin are such wonderful characters! They'll have to sort out some obstacles if they really love each other. I enjoyed so much their journey to get their HEA. All the feels! Amy is a great strong heroine. I totally loved her.
Lindsay's stories make you feel you're actually in there with the characters. You can't help but feel attached to them. She definitely knows how to present a solid plot full of life-like situations. Amazing!

An Accident: A Friends to Lovers Romance (Summer in New York Book 2) by Lindsay Marie Miller. This book is the second book in her Summer in New York series. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning. I love when we get to see characters from previous books in the current one. I always question what happens to the characters after their story ends. I enjoy this series and it just keeps getting better and better with each book. I enjoy this author's writing style and creative details. She makes you feel like you are right there in the story and she will pull you in from the very beginning. Her characters are creative, connectable, and lovable. They have the ability to make you feel what they are and you will feel like you are right there with them. They will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that you won't forget. This is the story of Amy and Austin. Amy is a young woman who has not had the easiest life and she is trying to be an artist. She dreams of opening up her own gallery someday and with the acceptance at NYC she believes it is within her reach. She meets Austin in an unfortunate bike accident. He dreams of going to culinary school. What will happen when they realize there is a difference between dreams and reality. Amy is just starting her life after her heartbreaking past but will she move at to fast a pace for Austin? When their love is put to the test will it be strong enough to stand the pressure? Amy is a strong character that just believes in what she believes and she holds true to herself. She has a fear of losing love when she finds it, so she holds on tight and runs with it. Will this prove to be to much for Austin? Austin is a man who has needs but also he struggles with internal conflicts whether or not he is what is best for Amy. He is determined to be the man that Amy wants but will he be able to live up to that? I enjoyed the secondary characters in this book except for a couple who really made me angry at how they were. But they do make the story flow and it was great getting to see the characters from book one. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to see what happens with Amy and Austin and what fate has in mind for them.

“It was my first summer on my own. First apartment. First job.”
This was my first read by Lindsay Marie Miller, and I absolutely loved it! This book is book two of the Summer in New York Series, but I read it as a standalone and had no problems doing so. I most certainly will go back and read book one just because I truly loved the authors writing style and this story so much that I am intrigued to see what story she weaves for us readers in book one.
This summer romance revolves around an ‘accident’ or rather a little bit of fate that brings our two lovable main characters, Amy Andrews and Austin Taylor, together.
Amy Andrews is not looking to follow the norm for her family. She wants to pursue a career in the art world. “Art reminded me of life. Imperfect. Honest. Jaded. It was real… But the main reason I wanted to pursue something so out of the box, had everything to do with simply being happy. If I was going to spend the rest of my life working, I wanted it to be something that I actually enjoyed. Nothing is more miserable than slaving away at a job you hate.”
Amy’s main obstacle standing in her way is her mother. I can promise you will not like this lady one bit from page one, and even less by the end of the book. Imagine your detest for the worst Disney villain times ten. “To appease my authoritarian mother, I agreed to her strict conditions of one summer alone in the city. According to the deal, I would take one night class at NYU towards my art degree, while working a day job to pay for all the bills apart from tuition and rent. If I survived by fall, mom would give me her stamp of approval and fund my four years of art school. But if I cracked under pressure- like she expected me to- then the deal was off.”
Austin Taylor is in New York for the summer to work at a local restaurant to get a feel for the city and set up living arrangements, etc. so he can start culinary school in the fall at NYU. He doesn’t really belong in the city, as he is from Missouri and the typical cowboy boot wearing farm boy. Regardless he has his dreams and he is set to make them come true.
Austin and Amy accidently stumble upon each other when they tumble into each other literally in the middle of the road. It is an instant connection for Austin but Amy is in a hurry to stay on track and get to work on time. She is already running late. Austin not realizing the odds are so not in his favor says maybe they will run into each other some time again.
“New York is a big city. The odds of us seeing each other again weren’t very high. But it felt good to allow the possibility of another chance encounter. So I turned around and left him by the sidewalk with that word floating around in my head At the mercy of fate and destiny. Maybe.”
Little do they know not only will they run into each other but they will be working with each other and getting to know each other very well. When a romance sparks between them will Amy’s mother cause the world to crumble underneath the two? Just how strong can a summer love really be. Is it just a fling or can a lifelong commitment be made from something so short and spontaneous? This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. I found myself reading from beginning to end and way past my bedtime to find out what happened. I couldn’t stop until I knew if these two would get what they deserved and now what this evil mother wanted to happen. Definitely the type of a 5-star read that leaves you in a book hangover. I was so happy I picked this book up last minute and I am so sure you will be too!!

An Accident: A Friends to Lovers Romance (Summer in New York Book 2)
By: Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

The story An Accident: A Friends to Lovers Romance (Summer in New York Book 2) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a coming of age/romance book. This is an absolutely amazing story that I loved reading. It is a sweet friend to lovers story that had me hooked from the first chapter and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the last page. This book had me laughing, misty-eyed, and getting that warm feeling when you know that two people are falling in love and are made for each other. This story touched my heart and I felt the depth of emotions that Austin and Amy showed for each other. I love the characters of Amy Andrews and Austin Taylor. Amy is a sweet, beautiful girl that has dreams of opening an art gallery one day. She is also a girl that with one meeting finds herself very attracted to Austin Taylor. She also is someone who is not experienced in relationships so she is wanting to take things slow. She tells Austin they should be friends. Austin is a man whose goal in life is to be a chef and own a restaurant. The life he is used to living is a fast one and that includes the women that he meets. Meeting Amy has changed all of that and he finds himself vowing that he will wait for her. Austin is also a man that has a past. When reading about it I could tell that he has regrets and at times he feels that he is no good for Amy who is so sweet and innocent. These two have deeper feelings for each other than just friendship and those feelings only grow with the time they spend together. Then an obstacle comes along that threatens to pull this couple apart. What does the future hold for both Amy and Austin? Will their love survive or will it be torn apart by the manipulations of outside forces? This is a couple that I loved reading about and how they truly love each other. I always hoped that they would find happiness together. This story shows the importance of always being honest and communicating with the one you love so that situations don’t spin out of control. This is the second book in a series and I loved it just as much as the first one. There are characters that crossover from the first book. I love when an author does this as you get to catch up on what has been going on in their lives. It is like dropping in on friends. This is the perfect romance story to get lost in. I have read a few of this author’s books and found her to have a wonderful writing style and that she creates amazing characters. Characters that I came to care deeply about. I can’t wait to read what she writes next!

a brilliant novel about not caring what others think and fulfilling your own dreams. Amy Andrews is living in New York while she works over the summer at a restaurant to pay for an art degree at university. Running late for work one day, she pedals too fast on her bike and crashes in the road. A handsome stranger helps her up and she carries on. however, she finds out the new guy working tat the restaurant, Austin, is the stranger who helped her out. At a work party, he dances with her, despite a co-worker Travis warning Amy away from him and she even sleeps over at his house afterwards. The next day she takes Travis' advice and decides just to be friends with Austin and even shows him around town. They spend time together, Amy helping Austin with cooking reviews and Austin helping Amy by being her muse for art sketches. They visit her sister Claire and her mother warns Amy to stay away from Austin but she refuses to. Will they be able to continue their romance despite the judgemental opinions of everyone around them that they shouldn't?
a brilliant novel. well developed plot. well developed characters. I liked the intimidating dominant mother figure who was very relatable and made sympathy for Amy. I also enjoyed how Austin was a country boy but was also much more. I also loved Amy's passion for art and Austin's love f cooking. In particular, the scene of her going to the park was perfectly written. Also the scenes of her trip round New York and the boat were full of visually stunning detail. The scenes in the country vastly contrasted that of the city and were excellently written. the only issue I would raise is that of Travis, who seems to much of a melodramatic villain of another genre to be in this type of novel. with the sense of action right from the very first line, I was hooked and couldn't put it down and would give it five stars.

* I received an ebook from the author, but that in no way affects my review or opinions. *

This is considered book 2 in the series, however, it can be read as a standalone and the reader will be able to jump in and understand everything that is going on. The book does mention some characters from book 1 (An Arrangement), but the author does an amazing job with getting the reader up to speed without re-writing book 1 in this book.

This book focuses on Amy and Austin...Amy's sister Claire, Benny and a few others are secondary characters and some you will love and others not so much. The author does a phenomenal job with the characters, the sights, sounds and smells of both NY and the farm and most importantly she creates a world in which the reader feels like they are in.

Amy wants to go to art school, her mom has other plans so Amy has a summer to live on her own and see if she can make it! Austin wants to be a chef and heads to NY to try to figure out if he has what it takes....a literal accident causes the two of them to meet and realize that some things are meant to be....right?!? Be prepared to go through the gamut of emotions while reading this. The author spares no feeling, but in the end you will be left with a smile.

Author Lindsay Marie Miller just continues to write books that the reader can relate to, understand and love. If you haven't read anything by this author, you MUST! She is a can't miss! Enjoy this one and her others (I have read them ALL) - you will be hard pressed to choose a favorite!

An Accident by Lindsay Marie Miller is a beautiful 5 Star romance. She has definitely touched my heart with this one. The characters are so sweet and loving and the drama that comes about seriously broke my heart and made me feel so much love for these characters.

Amy and Austin are perfect together, even though she is five years younger, their relationship is just precious. I really like that Austin is willing to wait for Amy no matter what, and that he feels like he is a changed man all because of here. Amy is so sweet and innocent and I love that she would say no to Austin to protect herself and her innocence until she was ready.

Amy’s mother is a really piece of work, and I love that she thinks she has any say in Amy’s life since she can’t seem to be a part of it for anything else. Her mother some how manages to pull apart Amy and Austin and I started to get so angry especially since Austin wouldn’t explain anything to Amy, who begs for him to explain himself. My heart almost ripped in two because it seemed nothing was ever going to be settlers between them.

Overall this is a fantastic romance for 18+ and I wholeheartedly recommend this to any romance lover. The secondary characters, Amy’s sister Claire and her brother in law Ben, are also very interesting and I wouldn’t mind a book about how they ended up together if there isn’t one already.

Title:An Accident
Author:Lindsay Marie Miller
Series: Summer in New York #2

An Accident was a great 5 star read.

We get pulled right in from the beginning when Amy has a bike accident. She meets Austin, who comes to her aid. He has quite the southern charm. She says goodbye without realizing what fate truly has in place for her.

I felt protective of this girl. Like it was my job to keep her safe.

When Amy gets to work she finds out she will be training a new staff person, low and behold it’s Austin her southern gentleman. Austin is pulled in by Amy and wants more with her. Can he put his past behind him and have something with her?

These two decide to take things slowly, Amy is only 18 and still has a lot of innocence about her. She also has a very protective brother-in-law and a mother who is a nightmare. When things start to get a little tough, Austin suggests something and Amy agrees to it.

Lets just say things really kick in gear after this and I couldn’t stop reading until I was done. We get some twists and secrets are revealed. My emotions were all over the place and the secondary characters were great, although I despised Amy’s mother. I didn’t read book one and I had no trouble getting into this story. I do however plan to go back and catch up. If your looking for a great romance read this is the book for you.

An Accident is the second book in Lindsay Marie Miller’s Summer in New York series and what a great book it is! Yes, you could read it as a standalone but why should you if you have found such an amazing series and you would get so much more out of the story having had read the first book before diving into this one!
An Accident is the story of Amy and Austin. Amy is a young woman who is hoping to open her own gallery once graduating from the NYU; Austin is a country boy from Missouri who is set to make a career in the culinary world. We are along on a ride that takes them from an innocent flirtation to a passionate love affair with everything imaginable in between and beyond!
I love the unique writing style that the writer has, it brings the story alive in front of your eyes and you feel as if you are there, with them! I also absolutely love series as I am dying for a glimpse into the lives of the previous books’ characters (no different here!).
I invite you to come on a journey with Amy and Austin, to find out how they will deal with the reality and their background … will their infatuation blossom into a strong love or will it crumble when facing obstacles … You will enjoy the hours you will spend with them and other secondary characters (that you love or hate … be ready for anything!) and will be left craving for more!

An Accident is a young adult contemporary romance that will tug at your heartstrings. It’s the second book in the Summer in New York series and can be read as a stand alone. It’s a story about young love, the mistakes that are made and having enough faith in the relationship to work at making it last. Amy and Austin meet in a pretty unconventional manner, neither knowing that a lifelong relationship was in their future.

Amy is a very young New Yorker just starting out on her own while Austin, a few years older is a Southerner trying to find his way on a new adventure. Their relationship builds pretty quickly and faces quite a few obstacles and situations that will have your emotions all over the place. Characters from the previous book in the series make a delightful appearance and really add a lot to the story.

I couldn’t put this book down once I started. The author did a great job of pulling me in from the first scene. It was well written, the main characters were charming and extremely likable. I was rooting for them from the start. The author did a great job of developing the story and it flowed wonderfully. Everything about it was a pleasure, the emotional connection that was formed with the characters, the storyline, the ending. I would highly recommend this book and this series.

An Accident: Friends to Lovers Romance by Lindsay Marie Miller is book two in her Summer in New York series. I’m always a firm believer in reading books in order, but I can say without a doubt these can be read as stand alones without feeling like your missing something. The previous are a part of this book as well but you don’t feel lost per say. This book is about Amy and Austin who literally crash into each other’s lives. Amy is doing her best to prove to her mother that her love in art isn’t the end of the world. She’s just turned 18 and the world is open for her, the last thing she plans on is a Cowboy taking her heart. Austin wants to be more than just a Cowboy from Missouri who has a bad reputation, but he never thought he’d see a forever future with anyone either. These two take us on quite the journey of so many emotions that leave you breathless one me and feeling all warm and cozy the next.
This is my second book by this author and both times I’ve been sad when it ends. This book was well written and paced never leaving you feeling like it was dragging on. The characters main and supporting are all written well and you can’t help but feel something for each one. I give this book a five star review and can’t wait to read where this author takes her readers next.

This is a great story! Even though it says stand alone, I would recommend reading An Arrangement first. Some of the characters in this book as a well as more backstory on Amy happens in An Arrangement. It follows the accidental relationship between Amy, an aspiring artist in NY and Austin, the Missouruh boy following his dreams of becoming a chef and restaurant owner. It all happens when Amy, late for work, loses control of her bike and is nearly hit by Austin's motorcycle. He comes to her rescue only to realize the beauty that makes him want to change his ways is his new coworker at a local NY restaurant. They start out slow, but once they decide to take their relationship to the next step, they take a huge leap of faith. Life is good until that crazy mother of Amy and her sister Claire (from An Arrangement) rears her ugly self and does what she does best, hurt her children with her greed. But Lindsay Marie Miller does a great job of writing the story and leaving us with an ending that definitely is a HEA. Thank you Lindsay Marie Miller for another great story to follow An Arrangement.

An Accident by Lindsay Marie Miller

5 Stars!!!!!

This is a sweet romantic book with a few twists and turns as it involves characters who have complex situations in their lives. Amy and Austin are like meant to be but they dont have an easy start. Amy has her share of insecurities and as such makes Austin work for it. There is some family drama thrown in as well that as usually happens creates the proverbial rift but as with all made for each other love stories we can relax and know that true meant to be love will prevail.

Amy's character really does reflect what is in most of us girls our naive insecure self that keeps echoing in our heads and as such we cant always see the good that is right in front of us. My heart just bled for Austin as he is such a down home country boy and you can just read and feel the sex appeal coming off of him. The whole plot and mood of this book had me absolutely glued to the pages. I didnt want to put the book down. Lindsay Marie Miller has a first class book and I look forward to reading more by her in the near future.

An Accident : A Friends to Lovers Romance ( Summer in New York Book 2 )
By Lindsay Marie Miller
5/5 Stars

An Accident: A Friends To Lovers Romance is book Two in Summer in New York. This is a very lovely contemporary romance novel. It can be read as a standalone. But I would suggest reading the first book as well. Since some of the characters are in the second book too. Besides you’ll get a better understanding of the characters and plot of the book.
Life is hard;Full of ups, downs, good and bad times! You have to read this book to see this crazy roller coaster ride Austin and Amy take you on. It’s definitely an emotional ride for sure! It will make you laugh and cry in the same breath!! I enjoyed it from start to finish, it had such compelling characters and an amazing plot!
Lindsay writes beautifully, the story flows in such a manner… it’s difficult to put the book down! You keep reading, to know what happens next. It’s like you HAVE to know what happens right this second!!
Great job, Lindsay! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next!!

Amy Andrews is 18 and hasn't had an easy time growing up but she is on her way to becoming an artist. She works part time and also goes to school. She dreams of opening her own gallery one day and her acceptance at NYU is making her believe it is in reach.

Austin Taylor dreams of attending culinary school and has recently moved to New York from Missouri. When he saves Amy one day from a bike accident his heart is immediately taken but will he be able to go at the pace that Amy wants him too?

But soon Austin and Amy discover that dreams and reality are two different things and when their love is tested more than either expected will they make it through?

I really enjoyed this book and loved to catch up with Ben and Claire as well from An Arrangement.

I loved that Amy was beginning to live her life after everything she has gone through in the past. She is strong and I liked that she held onto her morals and beliefs and did so in this book as well. Yet she also has a fear of losing love due in part to her mother, whom I still really don't like.

Austin was a dream and I loved that he had so many internal conflcits with being the best guy for Amy and yet being a man and having certain "needs". I had no idea about Austin's past but I wasn't surprised at all on how it came out. I thought Austin worked super hard at being the right kind of guy that Amy needed him to be.

I was actually happy when the two went and did what they needed to do in spite of everything against them. I was super mad though at after when Austin gave up thinking he was doing the right thing because of everything being held against him.

I loved how they both figured out what they needed and how they were going to get it in the long run. I also did like when Claire revealed more to Amy about what she went through herself.

An Accident is the second book in the Summer in New York Series by Lindsay Marie Miller.
This story is set seven years after the first book, we join Amy Andrews who we met in An Arrangement (Book One in the series-Claire and Benny’s story) as she is Claire’s little sister and was the whole reason for the ‘Arrangement’ in the first place. Well, Amy is now 18 years old and has grown into a lovely young woman, a talented artist who dreams of one day opening her own art gallery in Manhattan. She has just been accepted to NYU and it seems that all her plans seem to be falling into place.
Austin Taylor has recently moved to the city from Southern Missouri. He has a passion for food and cooking- his dreams include culinary school and creating edible masterpieces.
Their worlds collide when Austin comes to Amy’s rescue, saving her from a bike accident. He is immediately drawn to Amy, and this somewhat innocent introduction then blossoms into a whole lot more than either of them ever expected.
But dreams and reality don’t always align and these two will find their relationship tested by reality, doubts and expectations.
I really enjoyed reading Amy and Austin’s story. It was great to see what became of Amy since the first book, especially after everything she went through in the first book. She has matured into a strong, sweet and capable young woman. I also love Austin and his charming and endearing ways. It was great to be able to catch up with Claire and Benny. I still really dislike Claire and Amy’s mother, she hasn’t changed, unfortunately.
A sweet read!

Thank you, Ms. Miller!

An Accident (Summer in New York #2) by Lindsay Marie Miller, this story follows the ups and downs of Amy's life. As a young child Amy has gone through a lot in her 18 years but her life is going strong now and she is studying for her career as an artist, but one day wanting to own her own gallery.

The story is seven years on from the first book and where Amy has been accepted to NYC but as usual her mother is not happy with her choice in her life. As Amy is trying to balance her studies with a part time she is loving life until one day she has an accident which changes her life.

Austin is a southern boy who has relocated from South Missouri to study his one passion which is cooking, until one day he saves a woman from a accident but he gets more than he bargains for when he can't get her out of his head.

As there relationship goes on will the reality of the relationship burst the bubble of the dream or will there love hold out.

I loved the first book in this series and loved that Claire and Ben feature within this book also, I really would love to hit their mother for some of the utter oblivious this woman has when it comes to her daughters or sheer selfishness in some comments and actions. This book is well written and fasted pace, the story grips you from the first word to the last. I can't wait to read more in this story or more by this author.

A chance meeting between two people on a busy street of New York City is the beginning of a Amy and Austin's summer romance. Amy an eighteen year old fresh on her own is working a local restaurant and taking an art class at NYU to prepare for her college start in the fall. Austin is recently relocated to the city and working in the same restaurant as Amy learning the ropes before he starts culinary school in the fall. Although five years older and more worldly than Amy, Austin is drawn to Amy in a way that makes him dream of future together. Gun shy and innocent Amy gets Austin at a distance and forces him to slow down and begin as friends. Most of the summer moves along fine until Amy's mother buts in trying to force the two apart. Rash decisions and misunderstandings cause issues and heartbreak for these two. A well told story that has all the complexities that you would expect in a youthful romance. Ms. Miller does a great job as she brings the characters to life and allows you a glimpse into each of their backgrounds. I like how innocent and sweet Amy's character is and how it makes Austin want to be better for her, to earn her love. Austin makes mistakes but their love is persistent and unrelenting right to the in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ms.Miller's telling and will be adding her to my "to read" author list.

An Accident (Summer in New York #2) by Lindsay Marie Miller
4 out of 5 stars
An Accident in the Summer in New York is the second book that I have read by Ms. Miller and it’s the second book in this series. I have to say I was disappointed in this story. The characters where well developed and the storyline could have been really good but they were missing something. I loved book one An Arrangement so I’m mixed in writing this review.

I liked that we were able to see Clair and Ben and what they have been up too. We also get to see Clair and Amy’s obnoxious mother.

We get to see Amy seven years later and she is an aspiring young artist living alone in the heart of New York City. With an acceptance letter to NYU in the mail, her dreams of opening her own Manhattan gallery one day appear within reach.

Austin Taylor is a smooth talkin' country boy from Southern Missouri with a knack for the culinary arts. What starts as innocent flirtation quickly blossoms into a passionate love affair, branded by sweet temptation and burning desire.

But when a heavy dose of reality drives them apart, will their whirlwind romance come to an end? Or is their love the kind that lasts a lifetime?

An Accident

This is the second book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first one. It could be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading it in order. I liked that the characters from the previous story appeared again and we could see how their story continued.
I really do like this authors writing style, I find her storylines to be engaging and her characters are always likeable. Her books are easy to read and I know that I am going to enjoy them. I thought there was actually a great mix of characters in this book both the main ones Amy and Austin and also the secondary characters, some of which I loved and some not so much!!
I really enjoyed Amy and Austin’s story, they were both great characters. Amy was actually probably one of my favourite heroines in a while; I loved her strength and personality. I encountered a range of emotions whilst reading this book and that’s when I know that I have really connected with the characters and taken them into my heart.
A really lovely friends to lover’s story that left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Carla's Four Star Review

An Accident is the second book in the Summer in New York series, and it is Amy and Austin's story.

It is fate that brings Amy and Austin together. These two came from completely different backgrounds, but from the moment they meet they feel an instant connection to one another. However, if Amy and Austin really want to build a relationship with one another, they are going to have to be tough in order to overcome all of the obstacles that are blocking their path to happiness.

I really enjoyed this story. Amy was such a strong heroine, and Austin was a sweetheart with a southern accent to boot. This story drew me in from the beginning, and I felt like I was right beside these two experiencing everything just as they were. I love when the author has the ability to immerse the reader so deep within the story that the outside world just melts away. I mean, isn't that why most people read? To escape from reality if for just a few moments.

An absolute must read!

An Accident by Lindsay Marie Miller
Four Stars

An Accident: A Friends to Lovers Romance is the second book in the Summer in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller is a contemporary romance about young love. It can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend you read them in order. This is the second or third book I have read by Ms. Miller, and I’m hooked on her writing style. I love the way she makes the characters pop off the page. These true to life characters make you feel like you are right there with them. I read this book in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down. I judge a book by how emotional I get while reading, and this book had me laughing one minute and reaching for a tissue the next. Austin and Amy are such a wonderful couple, they have such a connection to each other. Amy is young but hasn’t had an easy life, but now she is reaching for her dreams. Austin is a young man just starting college and both struggle when reality hits. I highly recommend this book, it is one of my favorites by Ms Miller. I look forward to reading many more by Lindsay.

Amy is a strong woman who is determined to stay true to herself and achieve her dreams. Austin wants to become a chef, but has some inner conflicts after he meets Amy. Their first meeting occurred after a bike accident, but they go their separate ways afterwards. However, fate steps in, and they come face to face again, and this time, they don't walk away from each other. And that's all that I want to give away. I've only read a couple of stories by Lindsay Marie Miller, and I found her talented writing style highly addictive, and her friends to lovers story very sweet. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough, and didn't put it down until every last page was devoured. The story took me on roller coaster ride of emotions, so all the feels were present and accounted for throughout. The cast of secondaries added to the story, with some good, and a couple so very bad, that I sang color metaphors when they came to meddle. Which added some twists to the mix and pressed send to my f-bomb dropping. I'm exciting to read more by this author, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

An Accident: A Friends to Lovers Romance (Summer in New York Book 2)
By Lindsay Marie Miller
4 Stars

An Accident: A Friends to Lovers Romance by Lindsay Marie Miller is the second installment of the Summer in New York series. This story is a sweet friend to lovers story. I was hooked from the moment the two main characters had their first encounter, I got a warm fuzzy feeling that Amy and Austin were meant for each other. Amy is a very sweet and humble girl that finds herself very attracted to Austin Taylor, who is a farm boy from Missouri. Their feelings grow deeper for one other, more just friendship and those feelings only grow with the time they spend together. Will the obstacle hat are put in their way make their relationship and attraction for each other stronger? I truly enjoyed reading the love story of Amy and Austin. This is my first read by Lindsay Marie Miller and I look forward to reading the first book in this series and reading more from this author.

Austin and Amy meet as a result of an accident. Although they would have met anyway, the impact of meeting the way they did sparked something in them both. They are country boy and city girl. They come from money and not so much money. They are the bad boy and the good girl. Yet for all their differences they have a lot in common. They both want to follow their dreams and they are both grieving the loss of their fathers.

Amy's innocence in all things relationship based comes from her sheltered upbringing and her mother's controlling behaviour. Austin makes her question everything and sees her start to go after what she wants.

This was a book with a bite that was very well written. I found myself completely drawn into their story and hoping they got their HEA.
