I had a hard time connecting with the characters for the first half of the story. Maybe it's just me. But I have to say, I liked the epilogue and I loved the extended epilogue! If not because of the extended epilogue, this would have been a 3-star rating or even a 2.5-star rating. It's just so good!
The story is about Travis and Maria.
He just finished his twenty years service as a Delta Force Operator to the country and now, he's back home. He's her father's best friend and he's suffering from PTSD.
She's a college student, studying to become a vet.
He wanted her but he thought he needed to fix himself first.
What will happen if her father finds out about them? It wasn't easy but they loved each other and will never let each other go.
It has a nice epilogue. And I so loved the extended epilogue.

This was surprisingly shorter than I expected but it was sweet and smutty enough to get 4 stars from me. H is mentally scarred, suffering from PTSD after war. h's heart reaches out to make him whole. Being a shorter book, there wasn't any time wasted in ignoring their feelings for each other. The epilogue and the extended epilogues were HEA with 4 kids including a triplet of boys.

I'm going with a 3.5 ✨ rating for this. I had a hard time figuring out how to rate this one. It is well written and grammatically correct. I just found it hard to get pulled into caring very much about the characters. About half or more of the book is stream of consciousness alternating between the main characters. I guess I expected it to be written more like genre fiction and less like literature. I can see many readers really liking it I just had a hard time. I will say I loved the last chapter. I wish the entire thing had been that engaging for me.

Now Flora Ferrari is renowned for her insta love stories but this is REALLY fast and I would have loved it to be a bit longer [but I did love the epilogues]! ED lets his best friend, Travis, from Delta Force, and 20 years fellow comrade in arms who has saved his life stay in his guest cottage when he retires. Now Travis is damaged as he describes himself but is determined to work through them. He's bought himself a horse that's beautiful but it's not what he really, really needs. What he really needs is Ed's young daughter, Maria. Maria is a beautiful; young woman who is preparing to start studying to be a vet but she also knows what she wants and it isn't some pimply young man. Oh no! For Maria, she wants a worldly older man with experience who will protect, support and love her. Travis fits the bill and then some - he's huge and she feels so tiny next to him and so protected plus she thinks he is so s@xy too and she wants to give him her all. But how will her Dad react?? The steam heat rating on this story has to be hitting the ceiling - particularly in the kitchen. So ensure that your fans/ac are in fully functioning order and set to max cool as you're going to need it. Another great story that I fully support. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Definitely recommended

In this book we meet Maria and Travis. Travis came back from Delta Force a broken man. All he wants is peace and to be left alone. All that change when he saw his best friend's daughter. She is all grown up and makes him feel like there really is a chance to get out of the darkness with her by his side. He wonders though will his PTSD be more than she can handle? She has wanted him for years now. Now that he is home she wants nothing to stop them from being together. She know this can't just happen because of her dad. Things have happened over the years and she and her father are just getting back to a good place. She worries if she goes for what she wants will she loose her father again in the process? Can these two have a HEA or will everything that is stacked against them just be to make to break through?
This is an amazing book. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Travis was back in the states after being overseas for the military. He is suffering from PTSD and the one thing brining him any joy is his horse that is until he sees his best friend's daughter. Marie works at the feed store while she is going to school to be a vet. When her father tells Travis that she can help him with his horse Travis goes to talk to her about it. Marie is excited when she sees Travis because she switched shifts just to be here when he came to get his order. When he asked for help with his horse she jumped at it. Travis knew that Marie was his the moment he laid eyes on her. What will her father think about them being together? Will he make Marie choose between them?
This is a steamy hot love story about an older man and a younger woman finding love. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

As the daughter of a soldier, whether he means to or not, Daddy indirectly by example shapes how you feel about warriors: he either leads you to value and respect, or to fear and hate, warriors, their values, their mannerisms.
Although he seems a bit shocked, Ed should really be less surprised that his daughter Maria falls for a man a lot like him. Strong, value oriented, family oriented when not deployed, goal oriented, whatever he does.
Travis served with Ed, and he is a gung ho Delta, who reached an age and experience level where his career is over.
The horrors they saw are only part of the disorientation for vets - being part of a team, belonging, someone having your back is part of it too.
Maria finds her mate for life, a part of her family team, and Ed finds his own way back to her mother.

So my favorite author, has a new copy of a old story coming out soon, and it's so steamy hot and just a very enjoyable story.He's her dads best friend, but she knew when she seen him that she loves him and wants him to be her first lover and only.He loved her at first sight, and only wants her.Once they know how each other feels about each other, they move forward with their lives, happily married to each other and their kids.This was a great steamy read, that I couldn't put down once I started reading it.

As always when it comes to Flora Ferrari it is a sweet story with a possessive alpha male that knows what he wants and goes for it. I like the characters and how they develop. They are suited for each other. Their chemistry is amazing and they have a passion for life and each other.
I like it is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of the feelings of the main characters and of course also their thoughts. The epilogues were welcome to round the story of in a better way.
I really like the writing style and use of words the author uses. This is one of the first and she has just become better and better with her writting.
I can only recommend them to others.

It was a good quick read, Travis was Maria's dad's best friend but only when serving in war mostly so Travis never seen Maria in person or even in pictures until he moved in her father's guest house a week prior, but meeting her he know she was his and he was b hers. Maria, BBW and a virgin knew she loved Travis at first sight but her dad would stand in the way and her awkwardness will to. The only problem for me with this book was the Dialogue way too much with only enough conversation to really fill maybe 3 pages total out of 65-70 pages, and over description of things.

Worth The Fight To Be Together?
Good book. Not her best but definitely good. Flora just has way with words the hold your attention and make you want more.
Maria and Travis are fighting an incredibly intense attraction for one another because Travis is Maria's dad's best friend. Daddy would not be happy if they gave into their desires but it's getting harder and harder to resist temptation.
Will they give in to the animal lust that consumes their every thought or are they able to control them out of respect for Maria's father?

got to love Flora's quick read romances and this one is about Travis is an ex Delta Force Op and Maria who is studying to be a vet and is his friend Ed's daughter , they had never met but he learnt all about her from Ed , when they do meet there is instant attraction and hot chemistry , he wants her but there is one big problem in the way and that's her dad , will Ed forgive them and let them have their HEA , well written with good storyline and great characters with drama , hot chemistry and more

Superbly written – a really sweet romance! A fast pace consistent page-turner with mention of PTSD and a love strong and powerful enough to significantly affect the healing and coping process. Wonderful characters – the chemistry between them instant, powerful and intense. Maria and Travis are strong and know what they want; I especially found Maria to be very mature. Quite enjoyable and definitely recommended.

Well, it's official- I am hooked on these books by Flora Ferrari! This latest one is about ex-military man Travis. Before meeting Maria he just wanted live a solitary life. Then he met Maria. Now he is in love with his best friend's daughter. Travis is suffering from PTSD from his time as a soldier and the last thing he wants to do is drag Maria into his drama but he just can't live without her. Maria is also in love with him. How will Ed, her dad react when he learns Travis want a life with his daughter? Awesome story!

Here we have another short one about an older man and a younger woman. This one is quite good and the story line actually remarkably good. The characters as well and the story makes you actually just feel good while reading it. So as a shorter story that manages to include all the neccessities in a condensed form I can recommend it.

I have read quite a few Flora Ferrari books and they always make me smile. This one has the required hot alpha male and the innocent younger woman who in this case is his best friend's daughter. But the layer of depth added here is the PTSD Travis has as result of twenty years of service. Maria is the one who helps him the most.... and his horse. This is just a great book and I recommend it.

He has done many tours of duty and get there is still one thing he wants and need. He knows how friend is not going to be happy as it is his daughter he wants and needs. See how they will get on and who she will chooses

This is both a story of hope and healing, love and so much more. He has finally come home from the service and has PTSD. His best friend gives him a quiet place to heal. Oh wow I absolutely love Travis
He is a ex delta dealing with PTSD and falls for his buddies daughter but will it cost him his Friendship with his buddy? I absolutely love this book and storyline flowed from the beginning until the end and was so good to see travis find himself happy.

He isn't the same since the war. She is determined to try. Will her dad accept them? Will they get their Happy Ever After?
Loved how both knew what they wanted and went after it. I liked the fact that both were determined to continue their relationship and wouldn't let anyone else get in their way. Steamy read!

PTSD
Is rarely talked about and I am glad it was discussed here. Too often ppl think military personnel can just pick up where they left off before joining and just resume civilian life when it’s much harder than that. Only thing that it compares to is the institutionalized mindset of someone who has spent a long time in jail.

3.5 This story was a quick easy read. They fall in love and lust fast and also have to overcome her father finding out and his ptsd. I wish there was more dialogue in the beginning. I received an arc of this book.

That was HOT! The age just some number and the chemistry between these two lover were so strong that I am total jealous. The story was in just right pace and filled with all the necessary elements to keep it so steamy and interesting.
