The last thing Roxie wants to do after being rescued from her abusive pack is to ever set foot in the village she’d once called home again. Memories too horrendous to contemplate have kept her frozen in a place where fear keeps her prisoner just as surely as her captors had. But if she wants a life with her new-found mate, she’s going to have to fight for it.

The day Orrin found his mate in the forest, beaten and starved, he’d known she was destined to be his. But when the evil creature he’d thought expunged from his soul resurfaces, threatening not only her, but their entire pack, he must choose—stay and risk hurting her in one of its murderous rages—go back to the Dark Lands. Alone.

Orrin knows his mate, has known her from the moment he rescued her. Roxie escaped from a pack who abused and tortured the females. Rescued, she knows her mate but she's too afraid of everything to claim him. The best thing about this book is Adams is realistic about how a victim of torture would react. Adams has Orrin being patient and gentle with Roxie. He lets her call the shots when it comes to their relationship and he's supportive of her including when she has a negative reaction during sex. Instead of blaming her, he helps her through it. Now the plot, the sex and the characters were excellent in this story but Adams handled the other issues thoughtfully.

A fast shifter romance read. If you like some steam and a few good fights then you will like this one. The story is about fighting for your mate and protecting the innocent even at the cost of your own life. And never giving up on the one that is meant for you.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. My strong woman is getting stronger every day. She has been mistreated and is now in a different pack.
This pack has plans for the other pack. A very good book.

Loved it

The characters are well drawn and complex. They are damaged but not wallowing in misery. It creates just the right tension. The dark wolves are special and I am glad that I gave this series a chance.

Well written and some hard subjects dealt with very well.
Liked the two main characters and was glad to see them getting their HEA.
Had read book four in a box set before reading this but it didn’t impact too much.

Oooooooo another phenomenal book that Ms. Elianne has written. Don't you just love how these wolves take care of there mates. Ahhhhhh what a great place she has created for us. Definitely a MUST READ.
Roxie is a She-wolf Shifter that came from a  Village where the Alpha Roger and his Mahehkan men torture, raped doing such profound things that no one should have survived, then they would share among themselves. When Roxie was saved and brought back to the Komoro Pack where there Alpha Argram who was a fair and just alpha was going to help her village. If only Roxie can leave the past behind she continue on with her life, plus there were more women and children that she left behind that needed help.
Orrin is a Wolf Shifter but more importantly he was also an Erritrol before the curse was broken. Orrin could change like them and conjure up power balls to throw, while he still controlled himself. It was becoming very hard because he found this mate, but he had to stay away from her until she came to him with all the trauma that she had suffered he didn't want her to fear him. So he would wait and protect her and his pack mates.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

His mate is one who was tortured and abused by her former pack. He will do anything to protect her even from himself, and that might mean leaving her. Twists and turns in this latest edition of the series. Strength of character and willingness to go the extra mile.

I received a copy of this book and voluntarly chose to review it.

Having found his mate in Roxie, Orrin knows he must tread very carefully with her, she is still scarred mentally and It will take time for her fear of physical contact to lessen. His beast growls for her, but the man knows he must wait and let her make the first move towards him no matter how hard it is for him. He loses his control during an attack by the Erritrol and the creature he thought gone emerges to save his mate. Now he must make the decision to leave her and his pack, or risk harming her.

Roxie feels relief at having been rescued and she feels safe for the first time in her life. Orrin makes her feel safe and her body yearns for him, but still pulls back from him...She must make the decision to fight her fear and give over to her desires for her mate, especially when they are forced together in order to go on a mission to rescue the rest of the women and children from her old pack. When Orrin leaves her after the attack on her, she feels abandoned, but decides then and there will fight to get back the man she loves.

Will Orrin be able to control his beast, or will he go back to the Dark Lands and will Roxie accept him beast and all?

I have read several of this authors books in sets and I just had to read this book. I hated that I started reading the third one first before I read the other's in this series.

I really like Roxie's spirit. Yes she has been through a lot and it takes her a little bit to get through it. She doesn't give up on fighting for what her wolf and she wants. She is strong and wants to help others that have been in her situation. She does have panic attacks but she knows how to get by.

Orrin is the kind of alpha wolf that I would want by my side. Someone that wants to protect me and I know that he would never cheat on me. He knows what Roxie has been through and he wants to get back at the pack that did it to her. He doesn't know if she will get over it but he will be there for her no matter what.

Yes these two have somethings to get through but with each others help and understanding I know that they will become stronger together. Neither one is perfect and you can see that. I like how the author brought everything in this story together. I can't wait to read more and I can't wait for the next book.

I voluntarily read this book for a review.

Alone. Orrin wants Roxie like no other and knows she is his mate but also he must be patient because she has been severely abused. He is ready until the darkness rises when Roxie is threatened. He believes leaving her is his only option.

I have only one criticism. Since I hadn't read the previous stories, I felt there were a few missing bits of information I needed at the beginning. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the story itself, the wolf world, the easy flow, and dialogue. The author did a good job of showing the personal challenges Orrin and Roxie faced and their attempts to overcome them.

And I really appreciated that the sex scenes, while descriptive and involved, are not the extremely overly done ones of many other authors (those are real wasted page turners). I like my stories to have substance to them and the author delivered. I received a free copy of this story and I am freely giving my honest review.

I recommend this to anyone interested in good shifter stories.

Roxy and Orrin's story is just one more reason i love this series !! As much as Roxie had been tortured and abused, she still has the inner strength to help others and go after what she wants ( Orrin). Orrin afraid of returning to full evil Erritrol thinks leaving Roxie is the best way to protect her, but Elianne Adams takes these to characters and puts them thru hell, makes us care what happens to them and gets them to their happily ever after, all while rescuing the rest of the women and children and forcing Roxie and Orrin to face their fears !! 4⭐'s for great, sexy, hot, strong characters and a series that gets better with each book . I received a gifted copy of the book and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story line of Roxie and Orrin. Someone so afraid and broken coming out of her shell to her mate had to be a hard thing to overcome. Orrin though, I think I would have beat him to a pulp instead of just slapping him on the back :-) Anyhow, If you have not read any of the other Dark Wolves stories, I suggest you read them before you read this one, so that you are caught up on the action of what is taking place. Great fast read, and keeps you on your toes wanting more. Looking forward to Burden

I voluntarily reviewed a complementary copy from the author.

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I can definitely say that it won't be my last. It was so good I really struggled to put the book down.
I loved the characters Roxie and Orrin. Actually, I loved all of the characters, not just the main ones. Even though this is book three, I was able to read it without having read the first two. But I loved this book so much, I really want to go back and read the others, and I look forward to reading the future stories, too.

Fight for the Right to Love

The book was an interesting read. You will have violence, redemption, fear, love if you are willing to fight for it and salvation for a few. Now doesn't this sound like a book you really want to read?

Roxie is shifter that has been abused and her wolf has gone into hiding. Orrin is a tormented soul who has now found his mate. Things from his past threaten everyone he holds dear.

Love the Dark Wolves series!

Series is about abused women, some of whom escape and the good men of another pack who protect them and help them heal. Then the "good guys" rescue the women and children. They fight the abusive men of the bad pack and win. The women and children are adopted into the winning pack and some turn out to be fated mares. Great storytelling, characters that feel like your friends. This was
