Rain is a half human half angel born of an Archangel and and a human woman. Gifted with Angelic powers Rain sends demons back to hell. Cursed by the sins of her father Rain can not touch another human (except for her Earthly parents who hide her from the church) for the powers that sends demons to hell also removes souls from humans. So love is a complicated desire of Rain's. All while dealing with the son of Lucifer who plots on taking over the earth.
Sword wielding Raignai Jariel [Rain] is a girl unlike any other. She is a half- human, half- angel, demon hunter who posses remarkable powers as well as a curse. Unable to touch the flesh of another she can never know physical intimacy. But this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the other problems she faces. The young half-breed must stop and destroy powerful evil-doers and demons known as Legion who seek to overthrow both heaven and earth. I particularly appreciated the historical back story of the arch- angel, Azra [Azrael] It was clear to see that the author had done his research on biblical history. In- all this was a story that kept my attention with non-stop action and a thrilling story line. Highly recommended!
Rain is a fearless and unforgettable character with the abilities to wield an angelic sword that destroys demons, reads minds and sees life through a different lens. An orphan who is born cursed, because her touch is so powerful, no average human can withstand it.
The theme of good versus evil will probably always be my favorite and this story carried that to the next level. The action is intense and I was standing next to her fighting for the next round.
The story takes you deeper into the life of a young woman who must decide if she will accept the destiny she was born to and become a leader, serving with a super-secret sect of demon fighters and clerics.
I loved the back-story as the narrator introduced us to Azrael and the enormous struggles in the world before Rain was born. Fallen angels were symbolic of the people we see all around us who have succumbed to far less than what they could be. I loved this story and the biblical references were creative, original and compelling. Rain is the kind of character I could easily see as my friend, confidante and hero. A must read for young and old alike! Well done!
Fantasy, fighting, evil, demons, angels, this awesome story covers it all. What an amazing tale of good verses evil. Rain is the perfect character, well developed and one you want the best for, you travel along with her and celebrate the triumphs and feel the pain of her failures. With the fast pace action it is a page turner. I really loved how the story takes you so deeply inside that you feel a part of the story yourself. The author included a back story which was really great to read. The best thing about this book is that when you start reading it, you won’t want to stop. It is the kind of page turner that is rarely found. Excellently written, you will be immersed into one of the greatest fantasy stories out there. I highly recommend this to both young and old.
