Un.Breakable

Rate this book
Death, destruction, and chaos heavily enclose and encompass the werewolf community. After centuries of living in secrecy, of peaceful accord and traditional unison, one of their own shatters their solid foundations and threatens their very existence.

Thrust into the brutality of war, Hayden has no time to grieve over the loss of her pillar. Channeling her drowning grief into aggressive resolve, she vows to protect her pack and destroy the enemy who has taken everything from them. She will ally with shady characters and sacrifice her own comfort for the sake of victory.

An unlikely companion, who once proclaimed himself the enemy, shadows her with intentions to protect. He remains elusive from the others, outspoken against their stagnant ways, yet for her, he stands firmly by their side.

With his aid, Hayden believes any situation is endurable and any enemy is vulnerable.

Well, that didn't go as expected.

The Basics:

Genre: Urban Fantasy / Paranormal
Series/standalone: Series #4
Rating: 3.5-4 Stars.

Well, this is book four of the series, I quite like the series as a whole, for me the books really picked up from number two onwards. (The first one was good, but I preferred the others) I liked the ending, but it was kinda a 'happy for now' ending to me, it didn't feel like it was the last book, more like just the end of this particular storyline. Maybe there will be more, I'm not sure if there are more planned or not? (Anyone who knows, feel free to jump in and let a girl know)

Trying not to give the ending away, but I'm left feeling kinda sorry for one of the Slayters, but I personally was routing for that particular choice. Although, I didn't think it would happen! I felt at this time, the characters fit better together. Props to the author for not going the expected route and for staying true to the character.

I must say... in my last review of the 3rd book I know I was definitely hoping something different would happen in this book (as far as the plot goes). The author continued to surprise me throughout. Hayden has definitely grown and changed throughout the series. Is this the last book in the series??? Because it definitely rounds out all the problems and issues... BUT THIS WAS NOT THE ENDING I WAS EXPECTING. (I can't say my heart is pleased with this ending either.) That being said, just because it wasn't what I necessarily wanted doesn't mean this wasn't a great book!!

I can already imagine some people will focus too much on the romantic pairing and grow upset whether she ended up with the guy they were rooting for or not. The romance was a subplot. I am giving the series a review based on the actual story. The first novel wasn’t my favorite, but it set the scene well enough and introduced the characters. Hayden grew a lot throughout the four novels and turned into a strong and commanding figure.

This particular book was darker than the others (which I really like) and a reflection of the plot. It was nitty and gritty and I enjoyed the action scenes. I really liked the characters, both old and new. I don’t want to say it was a unique werewolf story, as there are so many of those, but Reese managed to put her own spin on things to make it memorable.

The ending was bittersweet and a suitable conclusion for everything Hayden went through. You could see she hadn’t recovered from everything and that it would take time to heal. In the end, she chose to continue doing the things that made her content and in control of her own life. The ending fit perfectly with the tone of the novel.

I love this series, it was awesome. I really want another! So glad she got back with him in the end. He was my favourite throughout the whole series, I liked his bad-ass attitude but also the depth of love and protectiveness he shows toward her.
I hope you do a fifth book, maybe about their life together and possible littles ones. I would like to see what he would be like in that situation!

I just binged the entire series in two days. What a blast! Un.Breakable was by far my favorite, as it was darker and more complex than all of the other books in the series. Hayden was a really powerful protagonist, and watching her skills develop over time was wonderful. I was particularly glad to see that it was Nicholas and Hayden who ended up together instead of Cole and Hayden. Nicholas as a character was much more intriguing and faceted that Cole from the get-go. In the first couple of volumes, I found myself disappointed with his sparse number of appearances, and Cole himself always felt a little flat to me. Cole was overbearing, possessive, and stifling in his actions to Hayden, which was at odds with her fierce character. In fact, it seemed almost strange to me in the first place how much she liked him. Nicholas complemented Hayden a lot more, as he built her up and they helped each other grow. Pairings aside, I also thought this novel was the best pacing wise. It was longer, with more action than any of the others, and it kept me constantly on my toes. The plot points, while a little jumbled in the other books, really came together in this ones, and there were a lot of small clues in the previous novels that I had disregarded before. All in all, a fantastic book, and great conclusion to the series! I will be eagerly awaiting any other content from Reese Morgan.

Amy’s Review

I loved this series!! The writing was impeccable. The storyline was riveting, suspenseful, and the added love story just made it better. I was left guessing at who was the enemy and who was on their side up until the end. I loved how this series ended, I was fearful about mid book if I would get the ending I was hoping for, a lot of times it doesn’t work out that way, but this book was everything I had dared to hope for!! Paranormal romance fans will love this series.

Seriously, I loved this series! I loved the characters of Hayden and Nicholas, the world they lived in, everything! It was so unexpected all around and I am so grateful I was watching the posts on Facebook that mentioned this series. This is by far one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see more from Reese Morgan!

This was a great conclusion to the series. Even though it was a while since I read the last 3 books, it did not take long to get back in and recall all the charaters. I liked that there was not too much rehashing of the older story to get to caught up. I was action packed and fast past and full of surpises. Great edning.
