A TREASURE TROVE OF DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING MAGICAL GOODNESS !!!
Title: Into the Light
Series: Lightbearer Series
Designation: Book One of Series, Can be read as Standalone, NO Cliffhanger
Author: Tami Lund
My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY MAGICAL STARS*****
Wowza! I love it! Color me officially impressed! Into the Light is the first book in a spellbinding new series by Tami Lund and it is absolutely fantastic! Lund demonstrates amazing talent and an astounding imagination in this novel with the extraordinary world and unique, intriguing characters she creates for her readers. The story is original, imaginative, perceptive, well written, well crafted, romantic, thrilling and action packed. The dialog is exciting, smart, well executed and flows beautifully. The characters are well developed, fascinating, sexy and intriguing. The story captures your imagination while enveloping you in a web of magic and fantasy. The characters explode from the pages and completely capture your heart and such an interesting and totally different take on a paranormal/shifter/magical beings! I was totally captivated!
Ten years ago, sexy, handsome shifter, Tanner Lyons, escaped his evil Father's pack and has no intention of returning - ever. Tanner knows his Father, Quentin Lyons, is delusional and has never believed the propaganda his Father has always spouted about the Lightbearers and their magic. Quentin believes that by killing a Lightbearer, he could absorb their magic. What a crock! Tanner disagrees and is convinced that the Lightbearers are extinct. There hasn't been a sighting of one for 500 years. Besides, Tanner will never forgive him for his cruel treatment of his Mother, Ariana. Tanner knows he must keep moving because his Father continues to send out his scouts to to find him and lure him back to the pack in Wyoming. Tanner is his only legitimate progeny and heir, a fact of which he is definitely not proud. He has no intention of returning to the fold and taking up his cruel father's mantle. So when Quentin's best tracker, Finnegan Hinnigan, and his pals walk into the bar, Tanner isn't really surprised. But he won't change his mind. Nope, not ever. Not gonna happen. There is absolutely nothing that can make him change his mind.. Or is there? Unfortunately, what he never anticipated was the bomb Finn dropped on him - Quentin has finally captured a Lightbearer. What? Not possible! But they have proof - a piece of cloth, part of the Lightbearers clothing. And even Tanner could feel the shock of the magic when he touched the material. Well crap! What's a guy to do? Why change his mind of course! But when Tanner returns and sees the beautiful young female Lightbearer, he knows he has to rescue her. What the heck is wrong with him? Shifters and Lightbearers have been mortal enemies since the dawn of time so why does he have to save the blonde haired, doe-eyed beauty?. What Tanner doesn't know is the beautiful Olivia Bennett is a princess and the only heir of the King of the Lightbearers. Olivia and her cousin, Cecilia, are never permitted to leave their home, the Coterie - except they did. Uh oh! Cecilia has a plan and her plan is to escape to Vegas, the City of SIn, for some good old fashioned fun including a few hookups with some sexy human males. Regrettably, neither expected Olivia to be captured and kidnapped by members of Quentin Lyon's pack. Olivia knows this is the end for her but of she's going to die. she will never give the cruel shifters the satisfaction of her showing weakness. After all, she is a princess. But when the handsome shifter, Tanner, says he's going to help her escape, she's shocked - quite literally! Sparks fly! Opposites Attract! The planets align and two souls from different worlds meet their fate when their magic burns brightly for each other! And Tanner learns that you can't fight fate, no matter how hard you try! So romantic! So dreamy! So good! Sigh........Wonderful entertainment! I have a new author to add to my favorites and I anxiously await the next book in this exciting new series.

I received this book for my honest review for Books Are My Escape.
This book started off with action and kept the pace up through out the book. Tanner is a shifter that has left his pack since he doesn't agree with his father, The Alpha. He is living life the way he wants to live it even though it is hard being a shifter with out a pack. His father sends some shifters to find him and lure him back saying they have a Lightbearer captured.
Olivia is a Lightbearer, a sworn enemy of shifters, or so she thinks. When Tanner's father wants him to take her powers, Tanner instead rescues her and goes on the run to save her. He has never believed that a shifter could steal their powers like his father.
What Tanner ends up with is a motley pack, even though he didn't want a pack, he still needs to care for them all.
What neither Tanner or Olivia expected was to feel an attraction that is like a magnetic force pulling them together. Will they risk everything for love? Or will they both return to the duties that fate has set for them?
You will have to read this book to get those answers, I was not disappointed at all and I cannot wait to read more from Tami Lund!

I was provided a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.

This was my first time reading this author and I can honestly say it will not be the last. I loved Tanner. He didn't agree with his father and took steps to distance himself from him. But when push came to shove, he returned home and did the right thing. I loved that he was willing to risk it all for someone he didn't know because it was the right thing to do. I also liked how he fought his attraction to Olivia. He was determined and fought a good fight, but Ms. Lund made it difficult for both him and Olivia and she did it in a way that felt real. She gave us a story in which sex was involved not sex with a possible plot. I wasn't overly impressed with Olivia but I understood why Ms. Lund made her so wishy washy. It fit with the journey she needed to take and Olivia was a much stronger character by story's end which I greatly appreciated. This was a well written story full of emotion and action. I am looking forward to what happens next in this series.

I received an ARC of Into the Light in return for my honest review.

Action, magic, love, death, shifters, and sex! Put all of those elements together and you get a great story!

The author drops you right into the thick of things. And, she keeps you coming back for more. She did an excellent job of weaving the tale of two different species, their myths/beliefs of each other, prejudices toward each other, and their attempt to overcome these preconceived notions.

It's a story of forbidden love and overcoming huge obstacles along the way. Every turn has you rooting for the alpha yet loving hero and his smart, gifted heroine along with their makeshift pack.

The only question I have for Ms. Lund is when is book #2 coming out?

I received this as an ARC for a Honest Review. I will attempt not to post any spoilers but there is always the chance.

This is a well put together book with a great plot that twists and turns where you least expect it.You have romance, danger and a old tale which says that if you kill a lightbear you get their power. You will be surprised when the truth comes out on how you get the power! It has super hot scenes which are tasteful without being over the top!

Father pitted against son, daughter who wants her father to stop and just listen to her. A Kingdom in danger and all balanced on the shoulders of the princess of the lightbears. I only wish I could give this book more then 5 stars as I could not put it down as I was reading.

I love this book!! It is addictive and it kept me up all night! This should come with a warning on the cover. That aside. It is well written and the author is showing us her world of magic. Getting to know Tanner and Olivia is such a joy. The tensions between the two is mesmerizing, the need to know how it ends take over. If you have a family that needs feeding, give them the take out list and a phone. They will use it and you can read in peace. I am glad that the next book in the series is out so I can read it. The problem comes when I have to wait for book three. Enjoy this book like I have and I hope you love it as I have.

☆☆I was given an ARC of this book in return for an honest review☆☆

Buy this book! This was not my normal genre and I think it is safe to call this NA which I am new to but I LOVED IT!!

I love the magic and the sex and I even loved the brutality of it all.

I picked it up yesterday and only finished it today because I had to charge my ereader. The story is fast paced and never lets you up for air. I found the relationships easy to believe and I feel like there was a set up at the end f2f or a sequel. Well done Mrs. Lund.

I loved this story. The chemistry between Tanner and Olivia was amazing. Tanner is a natural born leader with a conscious and saves Olivia from certain death making an enemy of his own father. The paranormal aspects are unique with the introduction of lightbearers. Reading, you find out what each character is morally made of when they are asked to do what is expected and be loyal to their own people or do what is right. Great action, spicy love scenes, I hope there is a sequel in the works. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

i received an ARC of into the light from the author for my honest review. i did not put this book down. I loved Tanner who was a classic alpha hero in a modern setting. The author brought interesting characters into play that were easy to connect to. The world these characters inhabited was real and vivid in my mind. The plot pace was perfect and the romance was both sweet and sexy. I can't wait for the sequel. Once you read this book the author will be one of your favourites.

Loved this book!
This is a really different view of shifters! One major difference (that I heartily approve of) is though this starts with a pack of wolf shifters they can shift into many other forms such as lion and birds.
I really liked it a lot. It starts out with some shifters looking for the alpha's son and they find him playing pool in another state. Turns out he left the pack 10 years previously because his views differed greatly from his father's views. His father is a cruel pack master who forces loyalty through brutality & fear. He also obsesses about Lightbearers, a group of magical beings who gain their magic from sunlight. His father believes the prevailing myth that states if you kill a Lightbearer you gain their magic. Since no Lightbearers have ever been found in the world nobody believes they exist, his son (Tanner) doesn't believe they exist either.
The shifters are there to bring him home and they tell him that his father has captured a Lightbearer. Tanner decides he has to see this, so he returns with them. His father believes that Tanner will stay & inherit the pack from him.
Tanner meets the captive (Olivia) & is very attracted to her. He tells his father that he can't kill her to which his father says he won't, Tanner will. Tanner is determined to find a way to free Olivia. They eventually end up in front of the pack with his father who announces that Tanner is going to kill Olivia & take her magic. Tanner has been having a side conversation with Olivia & tells her she needs to provide a diversion while he attacks his father & then she is to run.
This is the beginning of a beautiful odyssey for Olivia & Tanner. He has childhood friends in the pack (who are mated, have 1 child & are about to have a second) who help him & Olivia escape. Sadly in the progress to safety, they are seen & the male friend is tortured & killed because he won't give Tanner up. From here the tale just keeps getting better & better. Lisa ( the pregnant friend) escapes after her mate's death with her daughter & Tanner's mother (who despises her mate & wants to leave). She calls Tanner & tells him his father killed her mate & she's left the pack & is joining him along with his mother. Tanner is being forced to act as a pack master whether he wants to or not. Ultimately, they all end up going to Coterie (a magically hidden area inhabited exclusively by Lightbearers) to be safe but they can't let any of the lightbearers know there are shifters inside the Coterie. Did I say that these 2 races are supposed to be mortal enemies??
This is challenged by the attraction developing between Olivia & Tanner. This is an interesting story with shifter fights, enemies who become lovers, magic & love. I had a very hard time putting this story down. It had no slow spots, it was well written & had many twists & turns that will keep you on edge.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. When I first received this book I really had know knowledge about it but agreed to be a reviewer for it. After the first few words I was hooked and was unable to put the book down.

In this book we meet Tanner. Tanner is a shifter who has left his pack and does not see any logical reason to return. His main reason for leaving his pack is he is the sole aire to his father's pack but does not believe in the practices that his father has instilled into the pack. Quentin Lyons has told his pack for years that there are beings in the world that if killed will give them all of their magic and Quentin wants this magic. While in Vegas searching for these beings called the lightbearer's he finds one. He however believes that her magic will be wasted on him so he wants his son Tanner to do this so that he may become the new leader of the pack and in his option the strongest pack master in the world. However at first Tanner doesn't believe these beings are real then he knows without a doubt he can not kill this woman.

The other major player in this tug of war is the lightbearer Olivia. At first she does not trust Tanner due to the fact that the pack she is brought into is his father's pack. Then she isn't sure if she should trust him because he is a shifter. Both sides have heard things about the other that they must determine if they are true and if they can trust the other. The reason for this is as their group grows trust is essential to their survival.

This book is amazing it has quite a bit of build up before you get to any really hot scenes in this book. It also had quite a bit of intrigue and danger that will keep you hook from the first word to the last. I would recommend this book it is a great read that will have you rooting for the good guys till the very end. It should be on everyone's must read list.

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
Into the Light is the first book in the Lightbearer Series.
Tanner is the packmaster's son. He is supposed the lead the pack one day but he ran from his fate and his father's obsession of magical beings called Lightbearers. His father believes that if you kill a Lightbearer you will gain their magic. One day the impossible happens and his father captured a Lightbearer.
Olivia followed her cousin Cici trying to escape her oppressive rules of her father. What she didn't plan on is getting captured by her enemy, shifters.
Tanner wants no part in his father's obsession and helps Olivia escape. On the run, both of them must learn to trust one another in order to survive. But the unexpected happened and an attraction developed between the two enemy species. Will they be able to put aside their differences to be together or will their beliefs and species tear them apart?

A story of love, light and danger.
A magically sexy tale. Into the Light offered an unique take on the magical world. I was drawn in right away and was hungry for more. The characters were fun and entertaining and their chemistry undeniable. Olivia was a strong woman who sought escape from her upbringing. She fought for what she wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it.
Tanner was the packmaster's son, strong, independent and a natural born leader. He was definitely a sexy alpha male.
I loved their chemistry and forbidden relationship. The concept was original and entertaining. I was never bored with the action, anticipation and sexual chemistry.
For fans of shifters and alpha males paranormal romance will enjoy this start to a new series.
I rate this 4.5 fangs and look forward to the new release.

One of the best books I've read in a long time!! I have never read Tami Lund before so I wasn't sure if I would like the book or not, I am SO happy I decided to check it out because I loved it. Tami has a wonderful style of writing, you can see what she is writing about, her concept for shifters is not the standard they are a wolf or bear and that's cool as they can be the animal they choose to be . I also really like her lightbearers, who are related in some way to the Fae, they live on earth in what they call a coterie, which is hidden from humans and shifters, ect. Most think they don't exist anymore but not Quentin Lyons the beast master of his pack. And he believes that when you kill a lightbearer you inherit their magic, and he REALLY wants their magic because he thinks it will make him stronger. He is a evil shifter and runs his pack with a iron hand. His son Tanner left the pack 10 yrs before because he couldn't stand his father or how he treated the pack, his father has tried to get him back before but he refused but this time he has proof he caught a lightbearer and he knows that will get Tanner back to the pack. Tanner goes back but not to stay he just wants to see who his father has as a prisoner and try to save them from being killed. When he is taken down to see the lightbearer, he can't believe they really still exist and how beautiful Olivia is. He talks to her for a little big and tells her he is going to find a way to get her out of there before his father kills her. Olivia doesn't know if she can trust Tanner or not . He gets her out and they are on the run for their lifes, because if Quentin finds them, he will kill them both!!

Loved it!

I started this with the intention of reading the first few chapters and going to bed, but at 60% I gave up the pretense of just one more chapter. I couldn't put it down. I found myself laughing not just at funny stuff but also because I was so happy at certain points in the story.

Olivia is the only heir for the coterie and as such has certain responsibilities. Responsibilities she does not want and tries to escape. Olivia is beautiful, strong, and stubborn. She has a loveable personality and a good head on her shoulders.

Tanner is the only legitimate son of the pack master and with that has expectations he has to meet. Escaping and doing everything in his power to stay away but his father is just as determined he will return. But Tanner is an alpha male who chooses to bow down to no one. Strong, smart, stubborn, and hot he would make an excellent leader for and pack!

When brought together they can't deny the attraction no matter how hard they try. And once the passion ignites, do they really want to deny it. What will their fathers think of their betrayal with the enemy? Can they escape their destinies and everything that comes between them to remain together or is it a hopeless case?

I'm not quite sure I can put into words how great this book was!! I'm not sure where this author was hiding but she is definitely got a new stalker in me!!

This story was really well written. The author did an amazing job with the characters, dialogue, and scenery. I'm absolutely in love with this world!

I love Olivia. She is so confident and brave. Even in the face of shifters who wanted to kill her, she didn't show fear. She truly is princess material. This wasn't an insta-love but the love between her and Tanner got to sit and stew for a bit. Tanner was amazing as well. Tanner was a great example of an alpha male. Not only was he rough around the edges he also had a big heart.

Tanner and Olivia had a lot to overcome. Prejudices, jealousy, a villain. Yet they did overcome it all. This book was packed with a lot of romance and action. It will definitely keep you wanting more!

I recommend this to everyone who likes a good romance. This is a wonderfully written, original, action packed, love story. I am so glad I got to read this and thank the author for her imagination and creativity!!

Great story! Five Stars!, Review by Pamela Talley January 4, 2015
This review is from: Into the Light (Moonfate Series Book 1)
What an unique concept. Lightbearers are magical beings that replenish their magic from sunlight. They have been hidden away for over five hundred years, never seen, but the myths still survive. Aside from the Fae who created them millennia ago, Shifters are their enemies. Quentin Lyons, pack master and all around bad guy is obsessed with capturing and killing a Lightbearer to inherit their magic. Tanner Lyons, the pack master's son, doesn't believe in the old myths. He and Lightbearer princess, Olivia, fight an increasing attraction to each other. They have an attraction that makes no sense. They have been mortal enemies for all time. Many difficult decisions face Tanner and Olivia. These decisions change their lives and the lives of all those around them; humans, shifters and Lightbearers.
I urge you to read this first book in the Moonfate series. I am excited that there is second book already released, Dawning of Light. The dedication of Into the Light touched me, "For you, because you want to believe too." I believe!

I received a copy of this wonderful book in exchange for a review and found it totally engrossing.

Imagine if Romeo and Juliet were not children of opposing houses but opposing races—opposing *magical* races.

That is the situation in Tami Lund’s Into The Light, the first book in her Lightbearer series.

Instead of the warring houses of Montague and Capulet, we are presented the tale of warring magical races: Lightbearers and Shifters. So I suppose you could say Tanner and Olivia are magic-crossed lovers instead of star-crossed.

Characters with involved histories that, when included in the story, add to the plot instead of slowing it down as such things can easily do.

The story itself is compelling, especially to be less than two hundred pages. The fast pace pulls you along like a storm-swollen river, with enough action to keep things moving along and passion to keep you warm on a cold winter’s eve.

I really enjoyed Into the Light by Tami Lund. The book was very intriguing as the characters and the plot were unique. I thought the Lightbearers were really cool, and I loved the conflict between the shifters and the Lightbearers. Again, an interaction I haven't read before, and I couldn't wait to read what was next. Definitely a page turner. I stayed up until 2:30 am to finish it!

The romance was spot-on. Tanner and Olivia were the perfect couple. I also enjoyed the pack they acquired. Some heartbreaking moments, but all part of a perfect plot.

I can't wait to read what's next in this series. I'm already guessing who is next, and I hope I'm right!

I've also read Tami's Resort series and can't say enough about that series as well...

What a great start for new series I found it very entertaining the whole concept was unique and different I love the fact that the shifters could change into different things. I loved Olivia I like the fact that she wasn't some damsel in distress she was confident and brave. Even when she thought she was going to die she showed no fear. Tanner was everything was everything a alpha male should be plus he has a big heart. I like the fact that there wasn't an instant hook up between Tanner and Olivia. If you're looking for a great romance also filled with action, jealousy, obsessed villain for father I would totally recommend this book to you. Can't wait to see what the author has a plan for the next book

This author was a new to me before this book and now she's a must read! All his life Tanner was told if you kill a Lightbearer you'll get their magic and then when he meets one he saves her instead. So what happens when a shifter and a lightbearer start having feelings while trying to get her home while hiding from those who want her magic? An amazing story that this author tells in a way that had me smiling, laughing and holding my breath to find out what happens next. I like how the story revolves around Tanner and Olivia but you also get to know the supporting characters and now I can't wait for their stories also. I love shifters and this book has plenty of them plus magic, what more could you want if you love paranormal romance!

This is the first book of a new series by Ms. Lund and she is a new author for me. I picked up this book after reading the blurb and feeling like I was already into the story. Once I started reading this book I did not want to put it down and finished it in just two hours of non-stop reading....and once I was finished with this I was looking for the next in the series. I really enjoyed the new Lightbearer character, this is a paranormal character I had never heard of but really enjoyed learning about. And the interaction between the hero & heroine in this book really left me wanting more. This was the first book of Ms. Lund's that I have ever read but it will not be the last one, she has become a to-watch author for me in the future.

This first book in the Lightbearer series introduces the reader to a pack of shifters with a domineering pack master, his rebel son, and the race of lightbearers who stay hidden in their magically protected coterie. This mix of magical factions brings about a fast paced and enjoyable read. The book almost ends too quickly but fortunately the second book in the series is out.

This is a story about love that transcends families who have been mortal enemies for centuries. However, this does not end as Romeo and Juliet did, as there is a very happy ever after that is continued into book two of the series.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Tami Lund. This is book 1 of the Lightbearer series by the author.

Olivia Bennett is the princess of the Lightbearers and is captured by her enemy who thinks all lightbearers should be killed for their magic.
Tanner Lyons does not believe his father and tries to help free Olivia but in the process he falls in love with her. Together they try to prove that both beings can get along with out killings.

The author seems to create characters with heart and this story is no exception.

This is for any paranormal romance book lover.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had no idea what to expect going in, paranormal is not my usual genre. Regardless of genre - I really enjoyed reading this book!

The story was well written with plenty of background information in order for this new world to make sense. The characters were believable and normal despite their supernatural powers. Both Tanner and Olivia felt young, hip and fresh when they could have easily skewed old fashioned due to their secret societies.

Cant wait for the next book!

This is the first book of a series. In this installment, Lightbearer Olivia falls victim of kidnapping of the local shifter pack. Pack leader, Quentin, is convinced he can absorb magic from killing her, but his son, Tanner, has other plans. Instead of killing her, Tanner helps her escape. While on the run, the two realize that their species do not need to be enemies.
This book reads as a modern Romeo and Juliet story with a happy ending. I look forward to reading the next installment. I give this book a four out of five stars!

This story was very intriguiging. It gripped me right away and didn't let go. Tanner was fierce and passionate, everything you want in an alpha shifter. Olivia was strong and determined, definitely a good heroine. The details about magic and the different cultures were well executed and seemed more realistic than some that I've encountered. Overall, this was a great quick read and I am off to read more from this author. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a delightful read. This story is different then other shifter stories. I found it to be very refreshing. The suspense and tension kept me on the edge of my seat and I could not put the book down until I was finished. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series. The only problem I had was the formatting for my kindle HD was off but I was able to read and enjoy the story regardless.

This story will amaze you how people can believe so strongly in something that they obsess over it, it rules their life and they get others to believe as well. What is the cost for such belief? You have to read the book to find out. Fantastic read and I cannot wait for more about this world.
