I am surprised to like this last issue of the Better Together arc than what I expected. With the right mindset, readers will truly appreciate the true Francis Manapul wanted to convey to his readers. No, this is not about the world's three best superheroes teaming up to fight supervillains, that is an oversimplication. Better Together is more of a study of the Trinity and what binds them, why the triumvirate of DC comics is the pillar of today's mythology.

Nothing major, world-changing event happened in this arc. Mongul (and Poison Ivy too) may be extremely underutilized here, but again, you must have the right mindset to appreciate this arc. A bit of back reading may also be good (but not necessary) to know more about the Black Mercy plant.

Trinity #6 - 3.5 out of 5

Trinity : "Better Together" - 3 out of 5

Bruce and Diana visit the Kent farm in order to get to know this New(old) Superman better , but while on Lunch things go wonky as they usually do and suddenly the Trinity find themselves in the realms of past

What I Liked :

To Start off the most eye catching feature for this story arc of Trinity has to be the stunning pencil , shade and colour work from Lapacchino , McCarthy , Santorelli and Hi-fi. I'm not going to call it the best in the DC verse right now but it is very close .

Meanwhile* , The story in itself saw the trio re-bond with certain throwbacks to past storylines given and at no time did it feel like a one hero oriented story as all heroes were shown proper respect as the Joy and integrity of Superman , The Loyalty of Wonder woman and the weight which enabled to draw strength for justice of Batman were all given their proper adoration .

*apparently the most used term in comic book

What I didn't like :

In the end I went to this series expecting great things , I mean we have the worlds 3 most iconic characters teaming up in their own solo run , Expectations are obviously going to be high , but the result was dissapointing .

When I sit back and think about it the story seemed completely insignificant , I can bet you I won't remember this for more than a couple of weeks .

The action was scant and whatever there was on display it got jumbled up and ended up very confusing . Talking of Confusing much of the exposition was very puzzling , I lost track of what was happening and how it happened countless times .

In my opinion Manapul also missed opportunities with 2 very powerful and iconic villains as neither of the villains really awed me with their supposed villainy . In fact I still don't get what the hell was happening between the two for most of the time , Ivy's issues were the most confusing really .

Conclusions

Overall a decent issue , but honestly there's not much here to rave about , at the same time where there is a sense of lost opportunity , one isn't going to say that this was exactly a bad issue . Overall it was just MEH!

Better Together vasat başladı, vasat devam etti. Ama kesinlikle son sayısı ile vasatın üstünde yerini aldı. Manapul hiçbir zaman tam anlamı ile bana hitap edemedi zaten. 7.5/10

Equal parts lovely and tragic, but I wish they'd switch up the structure of the issues a bit. This arc did the difficult job of selling us the titular trinity's friendship in a convincing and not terribly cheesy way. Impressive.
