He was never supposed to leave.

Beckett Taylor was everything I ever wanted in a man: sexy as sin, tough as nails, and mine, for always.

And he was, until everything went terribly wrong.

After eight years, he’s still the only man in my fantasies.

I’ve always been trouble.

Samantha Kennedy thought I walked on water, even though she’s the one with the gorgeous body and whip-smart mind.

I left her to protect her from myself. I didn’t give a f*ck if it meant living the kind of life I never wanted.

She’s not supposed to be here. And seeing her one more time brings me to my knees.

She’s always been mine, but we can’t risk disaster again...

Only His is a full-length standalone bad boy romance with sizzling scenes, HEA, and no cliffhanger.

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** Another second chance romance that gave me all the feels! Beckett walked away from Samantha during their sophomore year of college. 8 years later, they run into each other in their hometown of Lockton where Beck is working for a concrete company & feeling he deserves nothing better even though he holds a journalism degree & Sam has been sent to finalize design plans for her firm. Both still feel the embers burning between them & soon after they act on their feelings. All is going well for the former couple until an incident w/ the boss of the concrete company & Sam stupidly comes between Sam & Beck. Can they find their way back to each other yet again or will they call it quits for good? Loved the story & yeah there's times where it gets cliché but sometimes it's necessary & warranted lol. Would definitely recommend & can't wait for Amelia's next story! :)

Such a sweet second chance story.

Beck and Sam were high school sweethearts who weren't really prepared for real life situations. During a terrible situation during there sophomore year of college Beck breaks up with Sam and she doesn't try to stop him.

8 years later they bump into each other at his work while she's there for a few weeks for renovations, they are both shocked to see each other again and Beck quickly tries to squash his desire for her thinking he will only bring her pain but, Sams not taking no for a answer. I was happy to see Beck actually fight for her in the end even though I think she completely overreacted to the situation.

Oh why did Beckett Taylor leave? That is what Samantha Kennedy is wondering, even now after all these years. She loved him, he loved her but so much has happened between them and he left to protect her from him. But Beckett has never forgotten Samantha. Every day he thinks of her and now thinking is going to become a reality. When Sam goes on another project in her job, she literally bumps into Beckett. Now their lives are linked together. Old memories, feelings, emotions and lust are brought back to the surface. A brilliant story that makes you wish for some happiness in their lives and some forgiveness too. A few job issues thrown in this makes it another sure winner of a story for Amelia. Loved it.

This is an amazing and heartwarming second chance romance between two people (Beckett Taylor & Samantha Kennedy) that will draw you in from the first page and you will be totally captivated until the last. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written and keeps the reader’s attention. The characters are well developed with personalities and moods suited to the situations they find themselves in. This is a well written romance with a HEA and I will recommend this book to people who to read this kind of book.

Love the Romantic Side

I just got done reading all of the "Second Chance" series. Loved them all! They weren't super hot and super sexy, which I love to read. But, so romantic and just the idea of men putting effort into their second chance with someone they never thought that they would ever see again. They finally TRY to put romance, therefore great sex and great relationship happening. I love to get flowers and special treatment, but it doesn't happen very often....very sad and hard to keep relationship together and charged up!! I like the way Amelia Wilde thinks and expresses in powerful words that we all should get a second chance!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This was by far the best book in the series! Absolutely loved Sam and Beck. Sorry to see the series end. Though I will say it is right up there with Ms Wilde's Dirty series. Sam and Beck have a history together from when they were in college. Tragedy struck them back then and they dealt with it by going their separate ways. Even though they both loved each other. Beck felt he was the cause of it just like he felt he was the cause of his father's death when he was a young boy. Of course he was not. Sam never blamed him for what happened though she was very hurt by his leaving. Eight years later they find themselves face to face when Sam is sent to work a job where Beck currently works. They realize they never stopped loving each other and learn to deal with the past and move forward to their HEA and their new life together!! Great story! I look forward to future books from Ms Wilde!

Oh my goodness I’ve been through an emotional storm with this book. The intensity of feelings was so well conveyed that I was in deep with the characters and story within the first few chapters. The book kept me engaged from the first page to the last line and I really enjoyed reading this story. Sam and Beckett had history but a tragedy followed by immature decisions, by both of them, meant they were no longer together. The way this was written and explained by the author, and voiced through the two main characters (book is written alternating 1st person) made their actions after meeting again understandable and realistic.

Sam did annoy me a couple of times with the silly things she said or had done. However later on she acknowledge this AND without it there wouldn’t have been a story to read so perversely it actually made the book better. Beckett was such a hot hero that you can’t help but love him and, daft decisions aside, Sam was also a really likable character too.

Whilst this does follow similar lines to a lot of second chance romances, the quality of writing, the well-developed characters and the connection you can feel between Sam and Beck makes this very much a MUST READ THIS book. Buy this book, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed by it.

Beckett Taylor and Samatha Kennedy were hot and heavy together as younger teenagers, together every spare minute they could be. Then something terrible happened and Beckett left, in order to protect Sam from himself. He is convinced that she suffered because of him and continues to live a mediocre life as punishment for all the pain he thinks he may have caused her. So Sam leaves too; avoiding their hometown of Lockton unless it's a special occasion to see her parents. Eight years later, when her job puts her back in Lockton working at Cerberus, which just so happens to be where Beckett works, they are thrust back into each other's lives. They quickly rekindle their romance, with the understanding that Sam is only in town for 3 weeks. When she gets in trouble with the owner of the plant, she runs back to her apartment without so much as a goodbye to Beckett. So what does he do? He follows her.
The ending to this story is so happy, and so sweet, that I might have teared up a time or two. The hopeless romantic in me was so worried when she left Lockton & Beck behind; he was the only man she wanted to be with for the past 8 years since their breakup – why would she throw it away? I was over the moon happy with how this book ended.

This book took me on an emotional ride and I was still feeling it for awhile after I finished the book.

I knew that something had happened between Beckett Taylor and Samantha Kennedy and I did figure out what it was before I found out in the book. It was still a great read. I knew that if two people loved each other like these two did that something bad had to have happened.

Beckett blames himself for the death of this father and what happened to Samantha. He thinks he only hurts the one's he loves and decides for the both of them that they need to go their different ways. Beckett thinks he only deserves dead end jobs and one night stands if he can't have the woman that he loves.

Samantha hasn't been able to get past the four years that she was with Beckett. She still wakes up to nightmares about her past. She never thought she would see him again until she gets an assignment to go back home and see's him while she is there.

I knew that these two had to have a fighting chance to work through their problems and have a life together. They have a lot to work through. I enjoyed how the author brought these characters to life and I just had to see what would happen between them. I need to read more books by this author.

Another great second-chance romance from Amelia Wilde in her series set in the small town of Lockton!

I wasn't prepared for the reason that Beckett and Samantha broke up in college -- it was a life-changing event that led Beck from walking away from Sam in order to protect her. (Or so he thought.) The reason why hit very close to home for me, and I definitely needed tissues in order to get through the rest of this story. Beck has spent the past 8 years completely consumed with guilt over what happened between him and Sam, and that guilt was piled on top of the guilt he already feels in regards to the way his father died.

So 8 years later, Sam comes back home to oversee a project at the concrete factory where Beck is working, despite having a college degree in journalism. It's clear that the connection between them never faded, and neither one of them ever moved on because they couldn't get the other out of their heart. But can they move past their past?

Amelia Wilde wrote another emotional, yet sweet and relatable, story in Always His. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

This is the third book in the Second Chance Series by Amelia Wilde's, and also my favorite.

Samantha Kennedy is an Architect at Nation's Premier Landscape Architectural Firm. The firms land a job at Cerubus in Sam's home town Lockton, and she's going home to run the project. What she doesn't know is that her High School/College love is back home working at Cerubus.

Beckett Taylor walked away from Sam the summer after their sophomore year of College. Even though he gets his college degree in Journalism, he goes home to Lockton and works in the concrete plant Cerubus. He's been working there for 3-years out of guilt because he feels he failed Sam, and also his father when he was a teenager.

Eight years later Sam returns to town to work for Cerubus, and she almost bumps into Beckett the first day - almost literally. They still love each other, but can they overcome the obstacles from the past and the current one caused by Mr. Calley, the Owner of Cerubus.

I absolutely fell in love with this story, and highly recommend this book to read how Sam and Beckett get their HEA.

When Samantha returns home to Lockton for work the last thing she expected was to run into Beckett on her first day back in town. Beck returned to Lockton after college thinking he didn't deserve anything better. 8 years after Sam and Beck saw each other for the last time finds them thrown together again and all the old feelings return. A second chance to be what they always should have been, if they can both forgive the past and the demons there. Another great second chance romance from Amelia Wilde! Beck realizes he will stop at nothing to get Sam for his forever and Sam realizes her life before seeing Beck again wasn't really living. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Loved this book....another fabulous book from Amelia. Beckett was the love of Samantha's life until one day they went their own separate ways. Sam moved away after finishing college and Beckett stayed in their home town. Sam is called back to her home town for a job that just happens to be at the factory Beckett works at..... when the stumble across each other there are fireworks and a lots of unsaid words from when they last parted. It doesn't appear that either of them are over each other..... can they go over old ground and get to th bottom of their issues or is it too late?? Have a read and find out. Really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Just brilliant.

What an emotional and intense read at times that can't but form tears in your eyes and a sniffle or two.
Samantha and Beckett have a history and after an incident they walked away from each other. Eight years later they meet up by accident and the intense emotions including love are all there. But Beckett has a hard time in forgiving himself and he thinks that he doesn't deserve any good and is punishing himself by not living up to his full potential. When they get together it's like no time has passed until another incident that happens at work has them walking away from each other...again. Will they be able to let past hurts heal and will Beckett finally realize that he is not to blame and that he deserves happiness....read and find out.

Sam goes back to her hometown of Lockton for business, not thrilled at the prospect of running into her old flame and heart crusher Beckett, but it's been a long time since highschool and she can manage 5 days avoiding him, unless of course she runs into him the first day she is on the job site of her project! Tensions are high but the need is greater. Working through the past to get to the future makes for a challenge.
What a interesting read. I found myself rooting for them, and parts frustrated with them both! Sexy. Sweet emotional read with a great ending! I love these kind of reads! Keep them coming! I look forward to more from this Amelia Wilde.

This is the third book in the Second Chance’s Series. Samantha is an architect, and after eight years is returning to her hometown when the company she works for is awarded a contract. First day back she bumps into Beckett, a past love. The attraction and chemistry between these two is as intense as it always was, but they have many hurdles to overcome from the past and present. Will Beckett allow Sam to walk away? You really need to read this for yourself!
As with all of Amelia’s work, she never disappoints, and every book hooks and intrigues the reader throughout. I recommend for all lovers of second chance romances, and I cannot wait to read whatever is next from this author.

Romantic tale of Samantha & Beckett. They had been together when they were in college. But events happened that broke them apart. Turn their backs and run was the solution they both chose. Now it is years later and Sam returns to her hometown on a business trip. There she runs into Beckett and as the old flames begin to rekindle, the memories of the past are stirred up and must be faced. Working through their pain, memories and coming to new understandings has been fascinating to observe the changes in both of them as they learn and grow. Loved both characters and loved their journey. I  voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Four stars.

This is a great book that will take you on a emotional roller coaster. Beckett and Sam have a troubled past witch led them to break up. Beckett went back to there home town after college he believes he can't be loved. Sam went on to be a hard working career woman she is working her way up in her company when she is giving a job that sends her back to her hometown. When Sam literally run in to Beckett coming out of his boss office all the feelings both of them has tried to forget in the last eight years come rushing back. Can they work thing out are will past mistakes keep them apart.

Samantha works for a garden design company and is sent to her old home town on their behalf to process a large order there.
She meets her old love there, Beckett, who has hurt her very much in the past and then left her. Both still suffer from their messed-up past today and could not forget the other one.
Very quickly both become aware that they have not yet overcome their feelings for each other.
This story, like any other one I have read so far from Amelia Wilde, is heart-warming and at the same time heart-rending. The characters and their inner conflicts are very authentic.
Always his is another favorite book by Amelia Wilde and an absolute must read.

A love story that is revisited for not just a second chance but a continuation of the first time. All they have to do is move out of the way so it can happen. When Sam's job sends her home she is terrified yet excited at the possibility of seeing Beck. When Beck runs into her he can barely control himself, but until they deal with what happen in their past they can't move forward in their present. A sexy, well played story of love.

I love this author and the way she brings the story out. It is slow and easy but entertaining and emotional. I love the characters and the story. well done.

Samantha and Beck have had more than their fair share of tragedy and pain. After their break-up years ago, who knew they'd literally run into each other again? Great second chance love story. I really enjoyed seeing how they were able to find their way back to each other. Beck is a strong man who knows what he wants now. Sam is her own person and not ready to yield, but that's what makes their story so awesome. Nicely done, and their chemistry clearly hasn't diminished over the years!

I really enjoyed reading Beck & Sam's story. Beck and Sam wanted a forever but when a tragic pulls them apart they never thought they would see each other again. When they see each other it's like they never were apart but they can't have a future until the heal from the past. You can't feel the connection and love that Sam & Beck have for each other as you read their story. Once I started reading I couldn't put my kindle down. Another amazing book by Amelia

What a wonderful story about Beck & Sam. Amelia writes a story that pulls at your heartstrings and gives you a HEA! Beck's has spent most of his life blaming and punishing himself for things that were not his fault. Sam has spent the last 8 years strictly focused on her career. That career brought her back to her hometown of Lockton, and back to her past with Beckett. This story is hot and sexy, with twists and turns on a roller coaster ride of emotions. A must read, you'll fall in love with the characters. This entire series is a must read. Thank you Amelia for yet another amazing story♥♥♥

Beck & Sam was long time sweethearts & believed they would live their lives HEA, until Something happens & Beck leaves her. Now 8 yrs later Sam's returning to her home town. Beck's always been in the back of her mind. When Beck sees her, he's not prepared to let her go again even if it could be disastrous.
