Fans of April Wilson's McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series will welcome this novella from Shane McIntyre's point of view. Shane includes a retelling of the ending of Fearless (book 2) from Shane's point of view, as well as brand new material that continues the story line beyond Fearless. This novella will tide readers over until Book 4 is released - Shattered - which features Shane McIntyre and Beth Jamison in a full-length novel that takes this popular couple to the next stage of their relationship.
I write about alpha protectors who fall in love hard and unconditionally, through the good and the bad. My characters are strong, sexy, and slightly damaged... because no one is perfect. All of my novels have happy-ever-after endings. What else would you expect from a die-hard romantic? I'm the author of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series of contemporary romance novels.
I live in Ohio with my daughter and more than a few dogs and cats. When I'm not writing, I'm reading romance novels and watching movies with happy endings. I'd love to hear from you! You can e-mail me at aprilwilsonwrites@outlook.com. Or, visit my website: aprilwilsonauthor.com.
This pretty much (unnecessarily) recaps the resolution of Shane and Beth’s story (from the end of Book 2) but from Shane’s perspective (which is pretty similar/almost identical to Beth’s) and sets up the next book which is Lia’s story. It’s a cute read but it adds nothing important or new and essential and you’re perfectly fine skipping this one if you don’t have KU and are paying cash for it.
This is a novella from Shane's perspective. Much of it was the later part of the second book. It's interesting because book one was third-person so you knew what the characters were thinking. Book 2 was from Beth's perspective. I enjoyed it.
Great little novella as told from Shane's point of view. Shane is a favourite of mine so it was a treat to read plus he's a classic alpha which is very sexy! Leaves you wanting more. I'm looking forward to April's next release in the spring.
This book is advertised as a continuation of the 2nd book in the series. Books one and two must be read before this one. Unfortunately for someone that has read both book, this one conflicts with some scenes from them. In this book the author writes that Beth didn't know about the body double before she meets her. In the 2nd book she finds out before that scene and has an argument with Shane about it in his office. In this book the author writes that Kline's features are committed to Shane's memory because of the pictures he's seen a thousand times. In both the previous books Shane has also seen him in person. Once in a stake-out and the other at the bookstore. Lastly, in this book the author writes that Shane asks Beth does she wants kids and tells her that he grew up in a noisy house so he wants lots of them. In the 1st book Shane asked the same question after they forgot to use a condom and gives the same statement about the noisy house.
I didn’t enjoy this book as it wasn’t an accurate portrayal of a business man like Shane. I highly doubt someone who runs a multi million dollar business, walks around dreaming of Beth constantly!!! The two major mistakes: Shane thinks that Beth didn’t know about Caroline staying at Beth’s old home to draw Kline out. Erm yes she did! She went crackers at him a few days before when she saw Caroline going into her home!!! Second mistake: Tyler is saying he was a senior in high school when Beth was born, making him 18. Beth’s 24 and she worries about Tyler as he’s 44 and still not in a relationship! So he’s either 18 years older or 20!!!
Love this book. Love Shane’s POV of some of the events in book 2 of the series. This book starts with Shane spending the night in jail after he assaulted Beth’s brother, Tyler who is a police officer. The book then picks up earlier in the evening. Shane goes to pick up Beth from the bookstore after learning that she is now the manager. During dinner, Shane gets a phone call about Beth’s abductor. Beth wouldn’t leave Shane, so he ends up taking her with him. When Tyler gets to the crime scene, he’s furious that Shane brought Beth with him and that Beth’s abductor was in the same room as her. The next day, Beth and Shane get engaged. The book further goes into detail about their engagement party. Love this installment from Shane’s POV. Worth the read
How Shane thinks of Beth and how his brains function are totally unrealistic.
Too much FSoG hints of how he wants to provide, she is so innocent, she doesn't know his actual wealth, him coming to the rescue all the time.
The most annoying part is her being ALWAYS in the line of fire, EVEN though he is TRYING to protect her. Taking her with him to the house where they are ambushing her tormentor. Shoot me please.
Where is the fleet of bodyguards? That scene could have been written a thousand times better.
The book should be renamed to Damsel in Distress. Actually the whole series should be renamed.
I have just finished the first " 2.5 " books in this series. What a story! It's written so well, these two fall on first sight but there's plenty of problems, Shane is keeping secrets from Beth in book 1. Her brother is jealous and worried and blows come at the end of book 2. Book 2.5 is Shanes take on his growing relationship with Beth and her brother. I had to read all the books be for writing this review as I couldn't put this story down. It has everything I Love. I wish I had found April Wilson be for! I am now hooked, and have to finish the complete series. I truly hope you will enjoy reading these books as much as I have.
This short delves into the good and bad he Howard Kline nightmare from Shane’s point of view and taking things a little farther in the contemporary vein.
To this reader’s taste, the cute covered here could’ve been taken care of in Fearless and I’m ever so thankful it wasn’t stretched to be a full length. Rating: 4.25stars
Loved this. All the issues I had with the last book are all better hahahah. So glad guys can just beat each other up and be friends. But the convo between Tyler and Shane really opened up Tyler in my eyes and yes I knew all that info but to hear how upset he was really made a difference about his behavior. Loved all the inklings of matchings. Mhm. Cooper and Sam?! Erin and Mack?! Jonah and lia?! Can’t wait.
April Wilson keeps getting better and better with each book. I was really glad we got Shane because I missed his point of view in book two and this was a great lead into Lia’s book and a glimpse into what him and Beth are going through now... can’t wait to read Shattered but first I have a feeling Lia is going to blow me away!
What can u say. Absolutely loved Shane & Beth's story ❤. I love d flow of their story. My new favourite author is April Wilson 😊 ( sorry toni Anderson 😢) On now to book 3 ❤❤ If u want to read an amazing story PLEASE read McIntyre Security. Cannot recommend it enough ❤❤❤
I enjoyed reading the last part of Fearless from Shane's point of view. I loved getting further along in the story. I think the story line and pacing for this have been perfect. There were a couple of continuity errors but they did not detract from the story. I'm anxious to read the next book in the series. I'm really hopeful that we will get a Cooper and Sam story in the future.
Careless mistakes are like speed bumps to a reader. As I read this Shane answered the problem of his silver Jag at the crime scene. However, Beth took her sandals off twice the next day at the apartment in his office building! Please! Pay attention! It was a pleasant read and tied up a few loose ends. I know you pay proofreaders, maybe they are careless.
Loved reading Shane's POV and his feelings about the Kline saga, and Tyler too. It was good to see Shane and Tyler come to an understanding regarding Beth. April does a fantastic job through dialogue and situations in explaining characters' motivations. Sweet story😊
I love April Wilson but this was a pointless book. There's a reason it's not listed in the series and that's because it sucks. The facts are wrong and it goes over too much of what's in books 2 and three. It's a novella so it's short but it's not worth the little time it takes to read. I would skip it for sure.
I wasn't sure if this would be repetitive from book 2 but it was very good, about 25% covers Shane's view of book 2 but after that it takes on a lead in to more of Beth and Shane's lives and it was enjoyable and insightful, we learn a it more about other characters which sets the stage for more books coming, love it.
Shane: The McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series Book 3 is by April Wilson. This is the story from Shane’s point-of-view. It tells the same story as parts I and II in an abbreviated form; but when it comes to his actual writing, he does consider the other characters when he is talking so that he remains in a win-win situation simply because he is the first of 10 possible new characters.
I hoses rating because this was actually a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most all of the characters. I think Shane did a great job with his point of view. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers. Oh and the 1st 2 books that I've read so far was amazing as well.
I love the series and I had to start from the beginning to understand the other character in the series which I didn't know who there were so I star with beth and Shane first and I love it so far . I will love to see where it take me in the complete book series. Thank you for the great story I read so far...
Shane’s POV and a few bonus scenes from that time period. It was great seeing his view of Lia and how he set her up with Jonah. His talk with Tyler was sweet and quite interesting since that is one prickly character. This is a quick and short read but a great addition to these complex and colorful characters!
Wow April you've done out again! I loved Shane's POV. He is such a caring gentle man who puts Beth's safety and wellbeing first. Also how he makes sure that his family and friends especially Cooper is safe! Roll on book 4 and more of Cooper please!
This book is great because it is the point of view of Shane McIntyre so you get to hear his side of the story and what he feels for Beth. It was another one I couldn't put down and read really fast.
Shane’s perspective and point of view of Beth’s story.
I’m not usually a fan when the story is retold through another character, but more of Shane is never a bad thing! I enjoyed it and learning more about what took place since Shane kept so much from Beth. Worth the read.
I loved reading Shanes p.o.v and contuation of Fearless. I can wait to read Lia's story. A brilliant shirt story to tie up loose ends and start Broken. I cant wait to read it!
This is a little more in-depth on Shane and what he was thinking. Glad we got his view a bit more. Helps us know him more. Him and Tyler are like two teapots heating up and trying to be first one to whistle!!
