Softhearted and rebellious bear shifter Macy Black can’t stand to see any creature, man or beast, in pain. So when her big brother’s two best friends return home from deployment with battle scars that go way beyond skin deep, she makes it her mission to help them heal. But when her desire to help turns to flat out desire, she starts to question everything she thought she knew about love.
Former Special Forces soldiers Nash Dixon and Gage Stone barely made it out of their last mission alive. The only way the two werebears are able to deal with the aftermath is by sticking close together. They both fear the bond they forged in battle may be the one thing that keeps them from finding their true mates. But when their best friend’s little sister forces her way between them, they might find that's exactly where she belongs.
This story contains possessive, alpha bear shifters and a big helping of heart melting romance. Just like Nash, Gage, and Macy, the Kodiak Den stories are better together, but each one can be read as a standalone.
USA Today bestselling author Amy Lamont writes steamy contemporary and paranormal romance filled with quirky heroines, alpha heroes, and always a happily ever after. Whether she’s writing about world-weary billionaires or rugged bear shifters, she loves nothing more than delivering stories with just as much heart as heat.
Amy lives in a small town outside of New York City with her husband, twin daughters and their two rescue mutts. When she’s not writing or hiding somewhere with her nose stuck in a book, she loves spending time with her family, taking in shows in the city, and traveling every chance she gets.
Bear to Love was a quick, sexy, and emotional read. It can be read as a standalone.
Gage and Nash both bear shifters survived hell. They are toured with PTSD and a need to be near each other all the time.
Macy is an animal rescuer and bear shifter. She grew up with Gage and Nash and never expected her inner bear to come roaring out when she tries to help her brother's best friends.
I really liked the slow burn, the issues they all have to go through and how it all worked out. The author had me crying at several scenes and fanning myself at others. Even with it being an insta-attraction and recognition of mates, the three of them first develop a relationship.
I had a delightful time reading this sexy shifter book. It was interesting and the characters are great. I will be checking out more in the series.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
I usually avoid stories involving menage situations but this one is such a cute read I’m very glad I read it! Macy Black is the youngest of five siblings and the only female, when you then consider that they are all were bears, it just isn’t a surprise that they are highly protective of her and that she likes to rebel - even if they aren’t aware of it. She’s a secret musician, part of a group that plays in bars and clubs. There’s no way her were bear family would allow this! She’s also a real sweetheart, looking after any injured animals at the local shelter and always trying to help anyone who is in anyway upset.
Nash Dixon and Gage Stone are ex-special force soldiers who had a horrendous last mission that has left them both traumatised, finding it difficult to cope unless they are together. When Macy decides to try to help them both, they’re all in for surprises and romance. However, with her highly protective brothers and their unusual situations, things won’t be simple or straightforward for any of them!
This is a lovely, sweet story, a tale of love against the odds and love helping heal. A delectable paranormal romance that is great to escape into. I can’t wait to read more from this author and the associated series!
Bear to Love by Amy Lamont is the third book in the Kodiak Den series, although it does work perfectly fine as a standalone novel.
I actually read book four before book three, but such a thing failed to diminish my enjoyment of this one. I found both stories to be thoroughly enjoyable, both offering something very different, neither spoiling the other. After finishing book four I said that I would gladly go on to read the other books in the series, and such a statement still stands true. Having read books three and four, I now need to read books one and two – not to understand the series, but because I’m so interested in reading more about the Kodiak Den (and yes, because I’m interested in reading the backstory to two of the side characters in this one).
What Bear to Love gives us is a wonderful shifter novel, filled with more than just your simple mating bond. I don’t simply meaning this is a mating bond with a twist, I mean this story gives us an emotional rollercoaster as we’re pulled into the world of our main characters. We have all kinds of drama throughout the story, with just enough intrigue thrown in to leave you turning the page to find out what happens next. I always enter these books sure of a happily ever after, but even this one left me questioning whether it would be quite possible considering all the baggage involved in this story.
I won’t say too much about that baggage – just know it works to make an interesting cast of characters. The way in which the characters slowly come to life, the way in which we slowly see more of them, was wonderful. I love slow burners, and this one was perfectly executed. Considering the type of romance in this one, it was a really cute story – I really did enjoy watching the story develop for all of our characters.
Overall, it was a wonderful quick read. I would have liked it to be a bit longer with a bit more action, as it felt as though certain events came and went a little bit too quickly – however, I so often say such things about short stories, so it isn’t really an issue with this book but an issue of how I always want more from my quick reads.
As a final note, I would like to thank the author for allowing me to read this in exchange for a review.
Blurb: Softhearted and rebellious bear shifter Macy Black can’t stand to see any creature, man or beast, in pain. But when her desire to help turns to flat out desire, she starts to question everything she thought she knew about love.

They both fear the bond they forged in battle may be the one thing that keeps them from finding their true mates. But when their best friend’s little sister forces her way between them, they might find that's exactly where she belongs.
Gage and Nash haven’t been the same since they came back from their last deployment. No longer serving they are still dealing with the aftermath of the war. Joined at the hip they can’t bare to be apart. Finding a mate is the last thing on their minds.
Macy has yearned to find a mate. She’s watched her family find their happiness in finding a mate but she’s had nothing. Until Nash and Gage return that is.
One look and she knows. But what what none of them expected was that she’s mated to both of them.
It’s unheard of. How would it work? But more importantly how can these two guys get past their PTSD.
With Macy’s help they’ll get past it. Having her near calms them. Centres them and ultimately heals them.
This is a new to me paranormal author. I enjoy shifter stories and this one had a great premise. The story takes place as part of a series but can easily be read as a stand alone.
This is Macy's story. I loved that she is a bear shifter and an animal rescue coordinator. Seems a mix mash but she is good at her job. She has given up on her inner bear. Fearing she is dormant. Until she tries to rescue her brother's best friends. Gage and Nash are tortured with PTSD and with an unexplained need to be near each other. Once Macy sets her sites on them, the circle feels complete.
I liked that this author gave us a slow burn. Although there is instant attraction and mate recognition, the three of them develop a relationship first.
Short read but interesting and great characters! I would love to go back and read the rest of the series!
*Complimentary copy provided for an honest review.
BtL is my favorite story in this series! The word flow, the "feels", and the characters' emotions are very well written!
Gage and Nash are best friends who's survived hell. Back home after a complicated and savage mission, they discover their mate.....drama times a million!
Kudos to Amy for an excellent job on the MFM angle! This story is tastefully written, passionate, and a joy to read! As a reader, you will definitely fall in love with Gage, Nash, and their mate!
Macy Black is the sister to the four Black brothers in the Kodiak Clan. Her brothers still treat her like she's a little girl. What they don't know is that she drinks, curses and plays in a band. Macy is happy for her brother, mated to and about to be married to Alyssa. But she's also a little jealous of their bond and connection. It's something she's wondered about her whole life.
Though her inner bear has been dormant for a long time, it only takes a couple of moments of physical contact with best friends Nash and Gage for Macy to become completely confused.
You see, in trying to help the war vets, who don't seem to be able to be away from each others presence for to long, Macy discovers her bear mated to both men. And when Nash and Gage figure it out, Macy's in for a lot more alpha male posturing on all fronts.
Will the two men be able to figure out how to make the threesome work and not hurt Macy in the process? Will Macy be able to break through what's haunting them and help them heal? Will her brother not blow a gasket when he finds out? You will have to read this cute quick read to find out.
I really enjoyed Macy, Nash and Gage figuring things out. I also liked Macy spunky attitude. She had a big heart and also a touch that could tame almost any beast. Her relationship with Alyssa was fun as well.
The writing was good. I felt when Macy, Gage and Nash, were happy or sad. I really teared up at one point.
I would love to read more of this series and all about the Kodiak Clan.

Oh yeah, MFM book. So loved that fact. Now unlike the other books this book involved the main characters being born werebear.
My heart broke for Nash and Gage. They truly got messed up when they were serving in the Special Forces. We get to discover more about that in this story. These two can not be apart and this is not a healthy way to live. We get to see how bad it truly is for them in this story.
I just loved Macy. It had to be hard to have 4 over protective werebear brothers though the only one we really got to see of her brothers was Kaden. I wished the author would of included the other brothers in this story. I would of loved to of seen how they reacted to the MFM situation that Macy finds herself in.
Macy truly has a big heart and a special gift. She has a passion for music and it is sad that she feel she has to hide that part of herself from her family and her clan. Her clan and her family want to keep Macy in this protective bubble and they forget that she is an adult and has her own life.
Macy loves animals and animals seem to know she wants to help them. I think this helps when it comes to her trying to help Nash and Gage. It is like through her touch their bears calmed.
It has to be shocking to for Nash, Gage, and Macy to find out they were all mates. It is like fate saw what Nash and Gage truly needed. They needed someone that understood how much Nash and Gage needed each other. Macy brings a special type of healing to Nash and Gage. She gives them some type of normalcy that these two needed.
This is a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.
Fast Paced MFM Paranormal Romance that will Hook You from the First Page
Macy is gal with a soft heart and a talent for calming animals of every size and shape. Gage and Nash are former military and suffer from PTSD in such a way that they can’t be out of each other’s sight without having a panic attack. But this is no M-M novel…strictly M-F-M all the way; it’s all about the gal and the guys she’s trying to help heal. This story is told from 3 points of view (POV), fast paced, with engaging characters.
What made this different from other PTSD related romances, is that her guys are actually better off with her than without her. In other similar stories, the guy usually has to heal on his own (or with professional) help before the couple can be together. Not so here, which was wishful but a refreshing change. I also enjoyed watching Macy come into her own – learning to share her life with her family instead of keeping secrets, afraid of what others may think of her.
Although I believe the author said this was her first MFM to write, I felt she did an excellent job, and I look forward to reading the books in the series that came before this one.
For those that are used to reading MFM or reverse harem novels, don’t expect this story to be wildly erotic until the end, but that's ok...the story is good enough to stand on its own. Highly recommended.
In the third book of the Kodiak Den series, we find ourselves meeting Macy. Who is she to the boys? What does she do for a living? What has she been thinking about Gage and Nash and how to help them? What does she realize about them before anyone else does? Can she help them? If so, how? What do Nash and Gage find out about Macy one night when they're looking for a skipper? When Kaden and Mason find him, and return him to jail, what do Nash and Gage see? What happens? What has Macy started thinking about and then discussed with Ben, a friend, and what his response is? This book was nothing like what I expected after the first two, but it was much more interesting! I won't say anything other than, the unexpected things in this book are the best parts!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin' With M. Brennan.
Nash and Gage were two bear shifters who went through some pretty awful times overseas and were finding it hard to find their place back in society. I enjoyed their personalities but their was practically no back story. I kind of understand why they began to lean so heavily on one another but the event it self was not really talked about. When they found out that they would both have the same mate, I would have liked to see them struggle a bit more with that. I imagine they did not share partners in the past? Macy was a very sweet character but not much depth. We find out about her important hobby/job once in the story and then it’s not really mentioned after that.
I still don’t understand how Nash and Gage overcame their PTSD. The story went from no hope to I’m getting better everyday because.......
Meh. I didn't like this one as much as the first two. I think this one had a lot of wasted potential.
Nash and Gage have been inseperable since returning from the military, to such a degree that everyone is beginning to worry about them. Macy, Kadon's sister from Bear to Want: Kodiak Den #1, decides to try and force them to do things on their own, and while doing so realizes that both of them are her fated mate.
For a manage, this book really has very little steam. There isn't even a s3x scene until the epilogue, which was weird. Also, there was such a chance to make this a MMF relationship because of Nash and Gage's situation, and the fact that it wasn't actually felt odd.
The majority of the book is the three of them worrying about how others in their den will feel about Macy having two mates, and that's about it. Just kind of boring.
I'm new to wearbears, but I've loved everything else that Amy has written so I decided to give her bears a chance & this series has totally won me over! I was beside myself with excitement when I found out Amy had taken my favorite genre MFM ménage & mixed it with my newfound shifter obsession! Macy, Nash & Gage's love story was so awesome. From reading "Need" & "Want" I knew Gage & Nash had some PSTD issues but the connection between the two was so enduring & Macy's experiences with her inner bear had me cheering so hard for them. I loved how their love played out. While I was totally enthralled with their need for each other, I missed the smokin hot love scenes that I found from Mason & Kaden. I totally understand the reasoning for the guys to take their time with Macy, but MFM is so hot I wanted to read more!!! Can we please have a Part 2!?!?
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
If I wasn't already in love with Amy Lamont's books, I would be with this one! It seems like I've been waiting forever for Bear To Love but OMG, so worth the wait!!! It's sexy, tender, frustrating, hot and utterly terrific!! I was hooked from page one.
2 "damaged" ex-military bear shifters trying to hold it together and survive civilian life and a kind hearted, nurturing bear shifter feeling suppressed by her family. Macy feels the need to help Nash and Gage with whatever issues they are dealing with and her bear feels the need to claim them as hers. After spending time with Macy, Nash and Gage each feel intensely drawn to her. Macy is very confused, how can she have 2 mates? She's not sure what to do about it. Nash and Gage don't know what to think either when they realize they both believe her to be their mate.
Bear to Love is the 3rd book in the series. The good thing about each book is how they are all standalone but if you read them in order you see the bigger picture. Not that it will make it hard to understand what is happening in the book but only to see the bigger picture of those within the book since characters are brought back in each new book.
In Bear to Love, it is the story of Macy and then her fated mate(s). Without giving away spoilers, you will need to read so you can find out just who Macy ends up with. Will it be Gage, Nash or both. You will have to read to find out but let me say, it will be worth the time to read.
Can't wait to see just what is next for the Kodiak Den
Macy Black is tired of sneaking around to be who she really is instead of pretending who she is to keep her brother at bay. Nash and Gage are always together they can't stand to be apart. When Macy realizes that both Nash and Gage are her mates she has to worry about how her brother will react. Nash and Gage can't believe their luck that they are both matches for Macy and she is fine with it. This is a story about loving beyond hat you feel is your boundaries. It is a great story however the guys do have a possessive side, and this does contain adult content that may offend some people
** I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**
Macy rescues and care for animals. She is concerned for two friends of her brothers. Gage and Nash are the only two survivors from a military zone and they can't be apart from each other. Macy tries to divide and conquer first with Nash and she feels he is hers. Then her truck breaks down and Gage and Nash come to her rescue. Nash goes to pick up food while Gage works on the truck and she has the same possessive feelings toward him. She thinks her bear is broken. Ben, a band mate, tells her she has two mates. The fun and challenges go n from here.
Two of the bear shifters have been traumatized by the war. Their mate is a bear shifter who is trying to heal them from their trauma. Can they all be mates together?
The plot is sexy and interesting. The characters present in depth portrayal of traumatized men who are shifters and how it affects their lives among the scenery of a Kodak, Alaska.
This book would be highly recommended for those readers of paranormal romance.
I enjoyed this book up until the end where it seemed something was missing or it was rushed. Nash and Gage had told Macy more than once that her first time would be when they had all the time to worship her and not rush. The book ends with them ending together after a slight bump in the road to an epilogue where they obviously have all been together. I wanted to read how much they planned to love her endlessly and I feel short changed. Overall 3.5 stars.
This is Gage , Nash and Macy's story . After experiencing horror and pain while deployed Gage and Nash need to stay around each other just to be able to cope with life . Macy is a shifter who had grown up around these two and wants to help all she can . Not expecting the emotions that occur when they touch these three will be having some more to deal with now . This is well written and recommended to all and yes it is a very emotional story .
A new twist on shifter romance that kept me entertained, intrigued and glued to the book from beginning to end. I loved Macy Black and her dynamic with the other characters especially Nash and Gage who have PTSD. Fans of this genre will love this sweet and heartwarming romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
What a great story! This was the first story I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had great character development, they were well fleshed out and you could really connect with them. The story was timely and the courtship was tense at times, but totally worth it.
I really enjoyed the relationship aspect of this story. gage, Nash and Macey make a really good trio. she is definitely what the two warriors needed. I think the sexy scenes could have been done better. menage sexy scenes are difficult to get right I think.. but it was still a good read and like I said they were a good match. I still definitely recommend this one.
OMG! I loved this book. It was a quick easy read. The book was well written. It is a ménage story so I warn you if this isn't your type of book you won't like this one. This one has some twists but since I don't do spoilers you will need to get the book to find out what they are. This one is worth your time and effort. I think you will enjoy this one!
Mates equal two male werebears and one female werebear....
When Macy decides to help werebears Nash and Gage, she finds out that she is their mate. But can she help with the mental scars the have returned home from the Army with?
A story of a very determined young woman who will do anything for the men she loves.
This is a good, well written story about bear shifters. Macy just wants t help her brothers 2 friends with PTSD. As she tries to separate them, she makes physical contact and her bear knows they are her mates. Bears have one mate. Mature readers should read to see how this is resolved.
Macy Black is Kaden’s little sister. She is attracted to Kaden’s buddies Nash and Gage. They are all bear shifters. They form a threesome as mates. Macy has been hiding things about herself, which come out. Nash and Gage are the lone survivors of their military group and has PTSD. None of them want to be without the others.
