Samin Pedram (Persian: ثمین پدرام) is a writer, poet, and lyricist whose work blends emotional depth with a love for linguistic artistry.
Her poetry is shaped largely by the influence of literary icons Ahmad Shamlou (Persian: احمد شاملو) and Nima Youshij (Persian: نیما یوشیج), the pioneer of She‘r-e Sepid (Persian Free Verse)—a modern movement that broke away from the strict rhythmic and rhyming conventions of classical Persian poetry, opening new possibilities for expression and voice.
Sam is the author of multiple poetry collections, including Beyond Imagination (Persian: آنسوی خیال) and For Eternity (Persian: تا همیشه). She has also written for young readers, creating imaginative Persian children’s book series such as Golpari Sings (Persian: گلپری شعر میخونه – الفبا رو میدونه), published in four volumes, and Nima and His Toys (Persian: نیما و عروسکهایش).
Her work now extends into bilingual poetry and prose, allowing her writing to resonate across cultures and languages, connecting both Persian and English readers through shared emotion, identity, and storytelling.
