Caitlin was fortunate growing up to be surrounded by family and teachers that encouraged her love of reading. She has always been a voracious reader and that love of the written word easily morphed into a passion for writing. If she isn't writing, she can usually be found studying as she works toward her counseling degree. She comes from a military family and the men and women of the armed forces are close to her heart. She also enjoys gardening and horseback riding in the Colorado Rockies where she calls home with her wonderful fiance and their dog. Her belief that there is no one true path to happily ever after runs deeply through all of her stories.

Adrian and Corrin

A tree spirit, a dryad and a fire mage. Finding your Faeted match by the matchmaker
is forever.

Adrian loved Corrin deeply and now he wants.... he demands....another match
because three days ago he saw at a party Corrin kissing a dragon.

Now he has a new appointment with another match. Only when he enters the room
there is someone tied and blindfolded to the bed. Corrin....
Adrian turns around to leave the room but Corrin pleads him to stay and offers
himself to let Adrian do what's right.

After being furious Adrian knows one thing....Corrin is the one....there is only room for
love and hot lovemaking.

Nice fantasy read told from Adrian's kind pov. A short entertaining story mixed with
steamy parts. It was well put together and very appetizing.

If you love a short one in the genre fantasy with creatures as Dryads Mage and
Dragons this one is for you!

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 because still no 1/2 stars here on GR and DRAGONS!!!

I liked this one probably more so than Joshua, the first book in this series. Technically we've got an established couple here. Adrian and Corrin were matched up six months ago (before the start of the story) by the Faeted Agency and none other than Dyslander, himself did the matching and Dyslander never...never makes mistakes and yet, something has gone wrong and Adrian is going to make him fix it.

It seems Corrin has cheated on Adrian. Sadly Adrian knows he still loves Corrin but he also knows that when Corrin kissed that Dragon shifter...dragons!!!! I love dragons...wait, he kissed Corrin and Corrin's with Adrian...oh, bad, bad dragon. You need to go back to your cave until you can learn to behave...now, where were we? Oh, yes Corrin kissed the dragon and Adrian was standing right there...this did not end well. But I had faith in Dyslander, he'll fix things but his fix was totally not what Adrian had in mind but then again when faced with a naked and restrained Corrin, Adrian soon realizes that maybe this wasn't what he had in mind but he can be as open minded as the next dryad when it comes to matters of the heart.

So basically that's our premise and it was cute. I really enjoyed it. My biggest issue this story comes in at about 21 pages (the story started on page 7 and finished on page 28 of my e-reader) I really would have loved more from this pairing. In the supernatural world how often do we get stories about a Dryad and a Fire Mage? Cute and unusual make for fun and there really was more to the dragon than it seemed but you'll have to read the story to find out and the next one too...because Caldren is next and he's a Brownie and Dyslander seems to think that his Faeted mate is...a dragon...a dragon who maybe kissed someone he shouldn't have...is there any doubt that I am so there?

If you like stories that are cute, light, fluffy and just a bit of fun reading check out Caitlin Ricci's 'Faeted' Series the matches are interesting and there's dragons...really, you can't go wrong with dragons ;)

This second installment in the intriguing series about a matchmaking agency for supernatural beings has a refreshingly different focus from the first one. Yes, it is also about finding a forever mate, but Adrian has a particular issue – the fact that his supposed forever mate kissed someone else. Not a major crime, maybe, but also not something I have seen often in the world of fated mates. Needless to say, the fact that Adrian’s requested second match turns out to be with the same mate had me wanting to find out how in the world that is supposed to work.

Adrian is a dryad, but rather than being steadfast and stable, which I somehow imagined a being in charge of growing and keeping trees healthy would be, he is rather dramatic. Seeing his lover of six months kiss someone else can’t have been easy, but the way Adrian stomps off and demands a new mate is just a little over the top. Luckily the guy in charge at the agency knows just what to do, and Adrian and his fire mage, Corrin, get a chance to reconsider. A very sexy chance at that!

If you like dryads and mages and want to watch them deal with their peculiarities, if a matchmaking agency potentially making a mistake sounds like an interesting possibility, and if you’re looking for a hot, entertaining read with lots of drama and some hot man-on-man action, then you might like this short story.

It was okay, but this is one series from Caitlin Ricci that I'm not a super big fan of. I love the rest of her work, but this series doesn't do it for me.

Too much sex, too little plot and this one particularly bothered me, because I'm not a fan of cheating. Cheaters rarely ever change and no amount of sex - kinky or not - is ever going to fix a relationship on the rocks.

I found the fire mage, Corrin, far too whiny and needy for my tastes and Adrian was far too quick to forgive, for having been unable to eat or sleep for days. I'm also a little frustrated by the way Belan is brought into it, at the end, yet there's no explanation of what happened with him after the mistaken kiss. Did he find his mate or not? Is that another book?

Not a series I'll be continuing with, but a decent enough addition to the already themed series.

Misunderstandings can ruin the strongest of couples. Even Fated ones.

Adrian and Corrin learned this hard way when Adrian witnesses first hand Corrin cheating on him at a party by kissing a dragon instead of his own boyfriend, him.

Adrian immediately ended things between Corrin because he could not be with someone who would cheat on him no matter how much he is in love with him. Once a cheater always a cheater and Adrian will not allow someone to hurt him that way again, especially somone who is supposed to be his mate for life.

After a few days of wallowing in sadness Adrian decides to jump to the other end of he spectrum and is angry now. He is angry at Corrin. He is angry at the dragon Corrin kissed. He is angry at Dyslander. So Adrian decides that it is time to confront Dyslander and demand a new mate.

Dyslander feels badly for Adrian but in the end there is only one Fated mate for those people that come in to the agency but there is maybe something he can do for Adrian. So he tells Adrian what hotel to be at and what time and that someone will be waiting for him that can and will make him happy again.

To Adrian's surprise the person waiting is none other than Corrin and to say Adrian is pissed is putting it lightly. Eventually Corrin was able to convince Adrian to at least hear him out and hopefully give him another chance.

Can Adrian ever forgive Corrin for his cheating or are they doomed to be alone because of it?

This was a good read but in my opinion Adrian forgave Corrin way to easily. Yes I think Corrin was sorry for what he did but I think Adrian forgave him to easily and Corrin in my opinion did nothing to prove that he would never cheat again. I think it is commendable that the dragon, Belan came to apologize to Adrian but again, Adrian is too forgiving. But I guess that is what makes this a story and not real. I do still look forward to the next book in the series though.

Adrian was matched up with Corrin by the Faeted Matchmaking Agency six months ago. Whilst at a party where too many drinks were consumed, Corrin was caught kissing another man. Adrian is hurt and doesn't want to see Corrin ever again. He goes back to the Agency for a re-match. They assign Adrian another mate and tell him when and where to find him.

When Adrian goes to the hotel he's supposed to meet his new match, he finds Corrin instead, naked and tied to the bed. Adrian is surprised but also is intrigued. He's been missing Corrin way too much and to see him restrained for him?? He knows that took a lot of trust for Corrin to do that. Maybe they could find their way back to each other.....

What a quick and quirky book! I love the whole matchmaking agency in a paranormal setting! The possibilities are endless with matches to be made! The description of each guy and what their abilities are interests me! Caitlin Ricci has created a fun series in the Faeted and I look forward to future books with more unusual pairings!

Adrian is the second novella in the Faeted series. Adrian and Corrin have already been matched by Dyslander Elderwald, but Adrian is convinced that he has made a mistake as he sees Corrin kissing someone else at a party. He left, without giving Corrin a chance to explain, and has spent the past few days unravelling. Dyslander gives him a time and place to be, but when he arrives, he sees Corrin naked, blindfolded, and tied to the bed.

This is a fast-paced novella with some smoking scenes as Adrian and Corrin talk out exactly what happened. Now, I'll be honest, I'm still not 100% sure about Corrin's actions at the party, but Adrian seems to believe him, so I'm happy for now. I did like the explanation and reactions given towards the end. This is well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. I enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to the next novella in this series. Definitely recommended by me.
