Rate this book

Russian:

Lyubov Fedorovna Voronkova ( 1906 - 1976 ) - Soviet writer, author of many children's books and a cycle of historical stories for children. Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR.

She studied at the city school, then at the Stroganov school . After the family left Moscow and settled in the village of Koskovo near Moscow, they had to leave their studies. Returning to Moscow, Lyubov Fedorovna worked as a journalist, traveled a lot around the country, wrote about rural workers.

Her first poems were published in "Komsomolskaya Pravda" , the first book of stories "Shurka" was published in 1940 . This was followed by books about the war, including the story "Girl from the City."

Voronkova's stories are always deeply in tune with what her readers live in this period of time. Many of them are documentary. For example, "The Altai story" is about the life of young gardeners in Gorny Altai.

When I was little I absolutely loved this book and it's not only fun read but also teaches children to be tidy and has repeating lines that children like so much. And illustrations are pleasant too. However there is a one thing that bothers me a little, since Masha couldn't find her clothes in time she was late and because of that other children in the kindergarten laughed at her. 0.0 Don't be late or you will be laughing-stock!
