Welliver is a scientist first and an Outlaw MC member second. He’s the smartest man on the crew that’s exploring Earth to create a new home. But when a monster attacks them and he’s separated from the crew, he is saved by a savage and sexy beast.
The beast doesn’t remember his name. He was sent to the Earth prison when he was a boy and left behind when the prison was evacuated. Beast has spent nearly twenty years alone on Earth, trying to survive this dangerous world. He’s the best hope humans have for staying alive with these new threats.
Beast doesn’t understand it’s not okay to lick strangers, or the whole wearing clothes thing, but neither man is prepared for the attraction between them. Welliver will have to pull on his Outlaw MC heritage to endure the wilds of Earth but how will survive the savage beast?
I'm a masturbation expert (true story, I'm single) and I write unique stories. If you're looking for a plot that hasn't been done before check out my books. I currently write m/m but one day I'll venture into m/m/f territory. I'm bi-sexual. I love animals and I've always wanted to paint nude men. Feel free to friend me on Facebook or Goodreads.
**I get so many emails from people who are surprised I read hetero when I’m gay. Well, I’m actually bi and yes, I read many genres. Reading to me is an escape. I’m not at work, staring out the window wondering what the sun would feel like on my face. I’m reading about another world, up in space, vampire or shifters, even just another place on this planet. Hetero, gay, bi, whatever. All that matters to me is the effort that was put into a story and how the characters work to entertain me. **
Cox's imagination and creativity are as strong as ever. The creatures, giving us pictures of Earth far into the future with both recognizable and new realities, and a sense of appreciation for a healing planet.
Welliver, son of Deviant and Tage (possibly my favorites from the original Outlaw series), is our narrator this time around. He's supposedly young but sometimes speaks as if he's a couple of decades older. Then it's back to the young gun scientist and his sometimes idiotic expressions. In particular about women, and using the idea of a woman representing weakness.
Nope.
The humor works, as always with his stories. As do the action sequences and unexpected twists. They always make me want to read the next book in the series. I'll say, if the use of women as examples of weakness and targets of derision don't stop, I won't continue. It even comes through in Lily, Welliver's sister. She's brilliant and yet is made to appear unable to take care of herself, even blaming herself for another character's unwanted attention: maybe she gave him "mixed signals".
Ugh.
It's incongruous with the quite awesome portrayal of the sibling relationship Lily and Welliver share.
This universe has always been a diverse one and that continues here, in many ways. Not enough of that these days.
Despite the many typos, misspellings, and incorrect word usages that should get fixed during editing, this is some of Cox's best writing.
What a sexy beast!! Oh my.. Is it just me or is this series getting hotter and hotter? The storyline is awesome, it's intriguing to see how the Outlaw MC Brothers try to save humanity with a big step back in their history and finally getting back to earth. We have a lot of action and adventure, hot and messy "full body sparing" and enough feeling and angst in Welliver's story, my fingernails have suffered so dang much and my reader is still wet from drooling...uhm...ya..so don't let me start on Welliver's sexy savage beast, oh holy smokes! Just imagining that as...uhm...that adorable grunting?! So, all in all, we have a freaking hot, original James Cox with this latest installment of the Sons of Outlaws series and I can only recommend it to every fan of this series or the ones who want to become one!
There is no one quite like Mr. Cox when it comes to writing m/m space opera. He is an addictive author who pens ridiculous situations and makes them so bloody erotic. In the latest in this series, Mars is coming apart. Hoping to return back to the devastated Earth, Weilliver, one of the Outlaw MC founder's son, is on a mission. He returns to earth to study if they can bring all their people back. Unfortunately, he knows there are threats that did not exist prior to the humans' exodus. Specifically, the crazy mutant octopi monsters that are not friendly loving with their tentacles. This is one tentacle sex that a human would not survive. What surprises Weilliver is the discovery of some humans still on planet earth, namely… Beast.
Beast has been left on Earth alone for so long, he's lost quite a bit of his humanity. His reactions are almost primal which makes sex with him rough and playful. Once again, Mr. Cox pens an erotically delicious tale with kinky manlove. I love the sex scenes as they are arousing and fun. Still, this story is more than just about the sex. The plot moves forward a bit as the Outlaw team tries to find ways of making Earth safe again. It's a noble cause fraught with danger. Plus they are working against time as any day now, it seems Mars will implode.
This story moves at a nice pace with cute character development and continued world building. The plot is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. This erotic space opera is recommended to m/m readers who enjoy a more animalistic lover.
First I need to say, everytime James Cox writes a new book in this series, I fall in love with him all over again! He has such a way with his characters that you feel their emotions, whether it's their cheekiness, their anger, their hurt, or their hot as Hades sexiness. My favorite line in this book is everyone wants to feel loved. How true is that? I absolutely adore Welliver. His cockiness at knowing he is a genius and his awkwardness at thinking he is not worthy of being loved or wanted because he does not have the perfect body. A mission to Earth is a must because Mars is becoming uninhabitable. Welliver and Lily accompany their father Deviant and some of the other Outlaw MC members to see if Earth is a good choice. When they get attacked by the mutant octopus creatures, Welliver is saved by a naked man. A sexy make you wet from head to toe, naked man. Beast was a prisoner who was left on Earth over 20 years ago. He had learned to survive on his own. That is until he spots something he is determined to make his. Will the Outlaw MC be able to work with him and come up with a safe plan to move the people from Mars? And will Welliver risk his fragile heart to this caveman? Another amazing 5 star book from the King! Great writing, lots of emotion, and seriously hot bedroom scenes!
James Cox is more addictive than caffeine...oh wait...his writting is more addictive. His sex scenes are sexy dirty perfection his creatures are creepy over the top fun and his world building breath taking. Keep in mind this is a series he is an evil genius who is going to leave you wanting more. If you like action grit and a little spit read this series without hesitation but for true enjoyment start with the Outlaw series and work forward.
Love, totally and utterly in love with Welliver. He’s so freaking adorable! From being rejected by his crush, almost killed and he’s so cocky. Beast is a bada$$ and extremely sexy. My heart hurt for him. I wanted to hug him tight then get him naked, lol. There’s lots of action but also lots of romance. I did not want this book to end and I’m so excited to read more about the sons of Outlaws. http://thetbrpile.weebly.com/reviews/...
5 'Oh yes he most certainly was one sexy beast and he was all Welliver's. Lucky man. Cox again hit this one outta the ballpark. Loved the continuation of plot that sees them needing to find a new home and looks like Earth may be it. The chemistry between Welliver and Beast is off the charts and he is sexy as fucking sin. Loved his alpha way about him and was absolutely hilarious watching Deviant struggle with his son being treated exactly the way he treats Torrin. Fucking laughed my arse off' stars.
I'd give this book a 3.5.... the mc are Welliver and Beast. Welliver and his father, sister, and a couple others land on earth to see if it's habitable for them and the rest of their Mars community. Well is a genius... But the problem is he never lets you forget it bc he tells us REPEATEDLY! it was extremely annoying! he's very arrogant about his intelligence. I have family members who are MENSA certified genius but they never talk abt it! every time well mentioned his genius I rolled my eyes. But other than that Welliver was great... very likeable. He is pretty insecure and nerdy. He's used to being looked over or tossed aside by men. So when he meets Beast and beast claims him in front of everyone he struggles to accept it. I liked the book over all. and I really liked Beast and Welliver as a couple.
I love science fiction, and I love gay romance, and when Mr. Cox puts those two things together, I am one happy girl! This story is fun, and sexy. The world building is original, and I loved how the octopuses evolved into man eating creatures. I also found the idea of having to repopulate Earth because Mars was dying an extraordinary one. Generally, in these types of stories, humans are going to Mars, and leaving Earth, not the other way around so it made for an interesting story. If you love a little man love with your science fiction then I highly recommend Suck the Savage Beast by Mr. Cox! The environmental catastrophe on Mars of 3022 has been looming for a while, and it is now painfully obvious that Mars is “dying” – meaning it is rejecting the terraforming humans have done and reverting back to its inhospitable self. The marsquakes were previews, a major sandstorm is now threatening, and the only way out is – back to Earth. Some of the Outlaw MC members and their kids go on an expedition to figure out how to make Earth safe again, but what they run into is both unexpected and encouraging.
Welliver is a scientist, a typical genius, and very self-assured where his intellect is concerned. He isn’t very lucky in love until he meets a savage beast who saves his life. “Beast” was left behind when Earth was evacuated, and other than remembering speech and some basic human interaction, he is pretty wild. Sort of like Tarzan or Mogli, but without the support of any other members of a tribe. Both men need to stick together if they want to survive the murderous giant octopuses that roam the Earth now and find a way to make life safe for the rest of the human left on Mars.
If you like the idea of a “genius” bonding with a strong, determined, and somewhat uncivilized man, if you prefer your romances action-packed, and if you’re looking for a read in the best ‘Outlaw MC’ tradition but set on Earth for a change, then you might like this novella.

Just started reading this author and I have to say it hard to set down one of his books. Highly impressed how he holds the story line together when writing about the events on Mars or on Earth without loosing the reader his abilities to tie all the events together where the reader feels as he apart of the story not just sitting there reading it the book. He has a very good ability in bringing what Earth and Mars look like in the future but to me there is one flaw and that was he did not a story of why the Earth was the way it was so the human had to flee to Mars or the war that was fought on Mars. I feel is this bit of history had been in writing the it would have explained more and brought the characters more alive other than sex toys or each other but would have made them come more alive in telling what they had to fight thru to get to were they are now.
Will always dreamed of a man of his own. Sadly none of the men he got with ever wanted to keep him, until Beast threw him over his shoulder and "claimed" him as his. Beast is all about Will. His safety, his happiness, his body....and Will is fine with that. Together, with the others who have come back to Earth to make it safe to once again live, Will, Beast and his friends and family fight what has mutated to survive, in order for THEM to survive. Great read. Hot scenes between Will and Beast and an amazing continuance of story from previous books in this series.
I ask you, how does one not buy this book for the title alone?
Beyond that, I loved this installment of the Sons of Outlaws series. If you’ve been following along, and you should be, the Sons of Outlaws are in the process of relocating to Earth from Mars. Mars is becoming uninhabitable and the there’s a small scouting crew that has landed on Earth to check the viability of the place and to get some prepwork going. In Suck the Savage Beast we get to know Deviant and Tage’s kids Welliver and Lily. I have to say, it was pretty awesome how Deviant’s kids turned out. They aren’t much like Deviant at all, but the family vibe is strong. Tage is back on Mars so it’s just Deviant and his kids on Earth along with a few others.
Welliver and Lily are brilliant braniacs and Welliver is always sure to keep everyone advised as to his genius status. While he’s cocky on the surface, he’s riddled with insecurities at the same time. He wraps himself in equations and calculations boosting his outward confidence, but when it comes to personal interactions, he’s at a complete loss. It was fun to read a COX character who was so different than any I’d read before. He still had the touch of COX in him though because he could be an amusingly cocky little shit at times and I really liked that about him.
I did like his vulnerability more though and when he meets Beast I knew I’d be loving these two guys together. Beast was left behind when the Earth prison was abandoned many moons ago and the poor dude has been living alone and fending for himself for years. He hasn’t seen another human, mostly just the rabid octopus thingies, so his social skills aren’t on point, but Welliver is way too busy drooling over the sexy sexiness to worry about niceties.
My favorite parts of the story were the moments when Welliver was feeling a little vulnerable and was having trouble believing Beast could be interested in him for more than just balling and bailing, like what Well was used to. That’s when Beast would step up and let Welliver know, in his own deliciously Beasty way, that Beast was in this for more than just the bone-n-go. Beast really was into Welliver and I totally got his sincerity throughout. It was really very sweet in a Tarzan meets Brain kind of way. As I got to know Beast and his history too, I was all kinds of happy for him to finally get someone to love and for him to be loved. The ending scene was romantic and dirty and just right for the two of them.
So, Earth is getting ready for the citizens of Mars, the new Earth dwellers are battling the gnarly octopi and there is still plenty of story left to tell for all these characters. The Dick Defender is up next, telling Helrick’s tale.
And again, I ask you, how does one not buy this story for the title alone?
**a copy of this story was provided for an honest review**
The third book in the second series is probably the best so far. Like the first book it is largely based on the re-visited Earth. Unlike the others it involves a character that has not been to Mars but was left behind when everyone else left. Whilst in a longer book this would probably be an investigation of differences, here it is about passion. There is continuity with the earlier books, which makes the need for a backstory less relevant. Similarly, as the series progresses there is less emphasis on contextualisation with the first series.
Characterisation remains lightweight with an emphasis on action as the focus for character development. There is an introduction of hostility and conflict between characters on Earth as there is on Mars. This has the potential for further storylines in subsequent books.
Sadly there are quite a few Auto Correct errors in the text; although this does not necessarily spoil the story it does undermine the professionalism of the presentation.
The relationship between the characters is stronger in this story with the relationship between the lead character and his sister as well as his interactions with the Beast of the title being most notable and well described. Clearly with a longer book there would have been more opportunity to explore and develop relationships, but given that the storyline leaned quite heavily on information provided in the first book, there was time to examine interactions in slightly more detail than previously.
The pace of the novella is quite fast with plenty going on. It is an interesting read that is light in style and holds the readers attention throughout. There were occasions where the story jumps and the reader is left to make assumptions but these are not central to the plot and so do not cause difficulty
The ending of the story is more focused than previous books with clear pointers to subsequent themes.
Wow. With each book in this series they just keep getting better and better.
Now that some of the MC is on earth trying figure out if hey can live their and stay alive from the huge octopus creatures, things are escalating on Mars and it is more important then ever to figure things out quickly as possible on Earth.
But along with figuring everything out, Welliver is also for the first time in his life falling in love. It happens to be with the most unexpected person also. Especially since he has been on Earth all this time by himself and cannot remember his given name. But none the less, Beast is just that when it comes to killing those creatures and he will do whatever it takes to keep Well safe.
In Beast eyes Well is the best thing to happen to him and he is now his.
Can these men and Well's sister manage to stay alive, figure out a way to move the people from Mars here on earth and keep them safe, and two men fall in love without being eaten by the creatures?
This book was so amazing. Each book gets better and better and I am ready to read book four to see what is going to happen next.
Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review
This was a cute little romp. I haven't read any of the other books in the series so I had no idea who anyone was but I'm not too sure it was all that necessary. We aren't talking about some deep dive into some serious shit here. There was action and crazy octopus creatures and of course, Beast. The sex was that caveman type of hot and the rest was just fun.
This was the first time I read anything by this author and I wish I had known about him sooner. He is amazing I’m going to read all the books in this series. I don’t think I’ll ever love anyone as much as beast he was so hot;)
