To clarify this an anthology, in which we have a story written by Nikki Swinson, ‘Shamelessly Rich’ and another story by Noire, ‘Puttin Shame in the Game.’ When, I began reading, ‘Shamelessly Rich’, I felt the intro held such promise and as I continued reading I became disappointed. The story was predictable and I felt nothing for the main character, Megan Rich. Even the character’s name lacked creativity. Spoiled, vapid rich girl falls for bad-boy-man Eric from the ‘hood. He’s a bad influence, exploits the shallow main character and thus the tale. There’s nothing original, or shocking in the conclusion.

In Puttin’ Shame in the Game, Noire fares better, here the characters had more depth, however these are stories told repetitively in the urban lit genre and at the end of the book, it was another tragic conclusion of gratuitous violence and an okay read.

Shamelessly Rich - Kiki Swinson
2 Stars

This story was a real disappointment. The summary basically tells the entire story, there really isn't much more to it. I really could have saved an hour of reading by just reading the product description. Megan was young, stupid, and extremely self centered. A totally un-relateable character. I am hoping Noire's story fares better.

Puttin' Shame in the Game - NOIRE
3 Stars

This one was a bit better than the first story. It did start off a bit slow, but once Noble's ailment was revealed the story started picking up, and because quite interesting and entertaining. The things Noble's women put up with were a bit comical at times, and also a bit sad at times.

Overall this book bordered on horrible. NOIRE's story did redeem the book a little bit, but I definitely would not recommend this to others. If I could rate it 2.5 stars I would because that is about all it deserves.

Firstly I would like to say : Both stories were written very well and showed the many facets of how money can change a person for the worst.
Megan just made my blood boil . . . . I did not realize the story was an anthology until her story ended I really liked no characters in this story.
The 2nd story came off more interesting than the first Nobel was an unapologetic player I felt so sorry for Malisha (I rooted for her a lil bit) Kiki pissed me off page after page. Zaza really wasn't memorable until the end of the story...Noble could be a real asshole at times guess that's what made for good character.I say read it if you get the chance just to say you read it.

Book consisted of 2 stories, the first story was absolutely terrible, it had no depth, no character development, it was a disgrace... Sorry... The second story was better, much better written, and a little bit more realistic.. But all in all I'm glad I didn't buy this book and borrowed it from the library!

This book consist of two different stories written by two different authors. The first story was decent but the second story was too far fetched for my taste. I like both authors, so I will continue to read their books although theses stories were lacking.

I honestly dont care for the title of the book as much. Yes, the first part of the book a family was clearly rich however, its not the sole focus of the book. With that said this is 2 books in one and is a pretty decent read. I was able to picture these characters and get mad at the daughter ike it was real, lol! The swcond story was just...ok🤷🏾. Wasnt a page turner but interesting enough. The stories werent overly long which I appreciate. We got just info info about every character to understand who they are. Id recommend it as a quick read.

I'm trying to evaluate which story I liked better as this book consists of two separate tales. In story #1 written by KiKi Swanson spoiled lil rich girl Megan sets her dad up to be kidnapped so she could impress her good for nothing boyfriend. What a disaster that turns out to be. I couldn't rock with Megan because she was young and completely dumb enough to believe each and every lie her boyfriend told her. She was selfish and completely self-centered beyond comprehension.

Story #2 was written by Noire and was the story of Noble who was a wounded police officer on traffic duty. Noble was dating 3 women and it was his wish to choose which one to settle down with on his upcoming 30th birthday. Each woman knew she wasn't dating him exclusively but each had their own motives for wanting to be the chosen one. I preferred this story for a number of reasons which include how the story unfolded.

Recommend.

Great stories told by two talented authoress. It was definitly a bonus having two stories in one book. These sisters know that they are beasts with their pens. KiKi Swinson and Noire show how some people have no shame, and will do anything to keep their pockets filled with money so that their personal needs are satisfied. The ladies in these stories will shamelessly go to the extreme to get money, not caring who they hurt in the process. I don't want to give too much up, so you will have to read to see if the shameless road these women travel is all worth it. I will say that everyone learns the value of money & just how priceless love is in these stories.

Ummmm the title of this book and the book cover would make any reader, stop drop and and cop this novel. And I must also say that I really enjoyed Shamelessly Rich by KiKi Swinson... I was very disappointed by Puttin' Shame in the Game by Noire who is one of my TOP authors. I just could not get into this story at all.

Loved it! 2 great stories in 1 book! In the 1st story, Shamelessly Rich, Megan who was a brat, ended up getting what she deserved. In the 2nd story, Noble, who was a ladies man almost lost the best thing in his life. Both stories showed that being greedy instead of enjoying what you have can be very dangerous. Once again Kiki Swinson & Noire have supplied us with adventurous hood reads!

Just read Swinson's "Shamelessly Rich" novella. Loved it. Prolific Swinson is one of Street Lit's reigning queens. She writes riveting crime thrillers rooted in classical melodrama. These are violent, erotic, and relatable moral fables, powered by strong and fallible black women navigating a sexist, classist, and racist society.

Not sure how i wanted the story to end. You know to root for the bad guys to lose but sometimes if they are not truly evil but just selfish do you still want them punished so harshly. I liked the story. It lived up to its name.

This book was good. There were some parts where I got mad at the main character for how she treated her family all for a man who didn't really want her but in the end she got what she deserved. The second book was similar. I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it to a friend.
