Blind Reader Wanted

Rate this book
Lara. I was born into darkness. Just like a puppy, only my darkness is eternal. Everyone else sees a world I can only imagine, but hey, don't pity me. I don't. I've got a lot of imagination, and I’ve made my world beautiful more beautiful that you can know. When I was a small child, my mother said I used to run into furniture, and if I was not too badly hurt, I’d get back up and continue running down the same path. When I grew older I understood that the world is not built for blind people. I needed a white cane and I needed to trust my bestie, Elaine, and jump when she yelled, “Puddle”. Sometimes, just for the fun of it, she’d yell puddle and there would be no puddle, but generally our system worked well. Now, I’m all grown up and she tells me that the most mysterious man in Durango Falls has stuck a job vacancy on her noticeboard and that I should apply for it. Apparently Kit Carson needs a blind reader. To be honest it sounds a bit like those times she yelled puddle and there was no puddle. But what the hell? I’ll give her a laugh and jump once again. This is the story of what happened when I jumped. Kit. I came to Durango Falls because it was the perfect place to hide. The townsfolk here don't like strangers and I don't like people. So I don’t talk to no one and no one talks to me. Suits me just fine. For five years now I’ve been livin’ alone at the edge of this forest. Just me and the wolves I’ve adopted, but this winter my soul has started hankering for something more. I know it’s sure as hell ain’t for the warmth of a woman’s body. I’m done with that. The military made me into a fuckin’ monster and I wouldn’t put any woman through that. Not even a whore. She’d have to be blindfolded to enjoy herself. Maybe I’m just hankering for a woman’s sweet voice reading to me the way my mother used to when I was five. Just before she died. Think I’ll advertise for a blind reader. A female blind reader. That’s what I thought I wanted. Well all that shit went out the window when I laid eyes on her. Now this woman’s body is all I can think about …

4.5 "I see into your soul" stars

A journey of two unlikely friends to lovers, a story of finding love in most unexpected places, truly "seeing" while not even looking for the most obvious and yet hidden in plain sight...

Beautiful and emotional story...

When this add appears in Durango Falls's small town library...
Blind Reader Wanted. Twice a week. Only females need apply.

it would start a whole another sphere of events putting Kit Carson , a mysterious, elusive, anti-social loner living in the mountains surrounded by wolves
Driven nearly mad with the raw brutality and sensless violence I had seen in the Military, I was a disaster waiting to happen...

I knew only too well what humans were capable of. Lies. Deceit. Murder. Corruption. Manipulation. Greed. Cruelty. The list goes on.

and Lara Young , open-hearted, sweet, a bit sassy and generous young woman with a disability. She's blind from birth but absolutely tunned into her other senses making her way through the world leaning solely on those senses and her best friend's guiding advices and descriptions...
Depth, motion, perspective, vantage point, surfaces, contours, edges, and other characteristics that sighted people seem to completely miss. When I touch a piece of wood, it talks to me. I don't see it as a piece of wood...

Their personalities and experiences could NOT have been more different and yet they develop a deep friendship and closeness more profound than the intimacy of a human touch. And Kit is aloof and reluctant to let Lara touch him, cause he's scarred from the burns but she gets close to his heart and she reaches deeper than the outside feature, she "sees" him, she "sees" beyond his scars...
The scars suit you...
It's like your story is written on your face in a language only you can understand...

"You make them sound almost beautiful."
"They are not beautiful. You are."

Their relationship becomes more deep on emotional and further more physical level and she reveals to Kit her darkest fears...fear of loss she still bears from losing her father and her brother who were in the military, so her aversion towards the military is understandable...but there's a guilt trip Kit goes on cause he took an oath and his secret goes deep in undercover...

so when the truth comes out, Lara will question everythin and will have to decide if she can live and love again with the constant fear of potential loss lingering with this constant danger in their lives...

BUT so will Kit and he will not give her up...
"I'm the man who never thought he'd find a woman again. I'm the guy who'd given up hope. I'm the man who loves you."

decisions would be made and the limits of Kit's self control will be pushed even further when another danger, in a form of a psychotic man driven by jealousy who will put Lara's life in mortal danger...that will make Kit to take matters into his own hands, delivering justice in the only way he knows how. Military style.

Georgia Le Carre always brings us the characters that are larger than life in her stories, her descriptive ways always accentuate the insightful emotional part of their portrayals and as well as their surroundings and this story is not an exception from that...it's a beautiful story, with likable characters, and another insightful and remarkably palpable description of the world "seen" through the rest of the senses when the surroundings we actually take for granted but don't really "see" while looking.

2017 me added this book to her tbr, not knowing that 2025 me would suffer because of that decision…

By the time she kissed my neck, I knew I was at the point of no return. “This is your last warning,” I said. “Go any lower and I’m gonna be inside you all fucking night.”

In all honesty, 2017 me might have eaten this up a little more – but not by much. Characters who are barely fleshed out, a romance that’s barely believable, poor writing in general (including the sex scenes, what a disappointment), and a small-town that wasn’t small-towning.

"I swear she’ll make me so angry one of these days, I’m gonna tell her to stop judging me because the way to God’s heart is the same as a man’s. On your knees.”

🏡 THE SETTING: Halfway through the book I suddenly remembered that it was supposed to be taking place in a small town and then I actually forgot the name of the town, because it was mentioned like once and never again. I had to scroll to the very first page to find out what it was.

💌 THE WRITING: I learned to read practically as soon as I learned how to walk. So call me elitist or snobbish, but I am physically incapable of reading a book and NOT noticing grammar errors; they jump out to me immediately like inflamed boils. I've learned that like everything else, books are not perfect; a couple of errors may be inevitable. But this one was riddled with them. Tenses changed randomly within each paragraph from the past to the present. It disrupted my reading experience to the point of annoyance, making it more and more difficult to drag myself through each chapter. I'm aware that the books I read may not always be considered quality literature, but I do expect a certain minimum level of quality!

To make matters worse, there were many inconsistencies. One example is where Kit's scars are. He tells us they're on the right side of his face, but later Lara says they're on the left...?

💃🏻 THE CHARACTERS: If you want to know how to write characters with absolutely NO PULL, this is it. I literally couldn't care less about any of the side characters, not even the "villain"; the conflict was developed too suddenly for me to become invested. As for Kit (the MMC), he was weird and an asshole at times. Once he made this comment that was a subtle jab at blind people; like "You’re not going to be easy because you’re blind, are you?” Another time where he was grateful to an old doctor for saving Lara's life, and he literally thinks: "If he had asked me to get on my knees and suck his dick, I would have. I felt so grateful, I wanted to kiss him." I'm sorry but that's just taking it a bit too far for me. There were moments when I liked him but I couldn't look past these.

Lara was sweet and kind and pretty much the only decent character in this book. Most of the time, Le Carre's portrayal of her visual impairment was very realistic, and I could tell some research was done here. I also liked how she never viewed herself as lesser because of it, but rather someone who was unique and extraordinary.

"What do you have to give up?” he asked incredulously.

It was impossible to explain. Depth, motion, perspective, vantage point, surfaces, contours, edges, and other characteristics that sighted people seem to completely miss. When I touch a piece of wood, it talks to me. I don’t see it as a piece of wood.

🎀 THE ROMANCE: I’m sorry, WHAT ROMANCE? All we got was lust, which abruptly morphed into love so fast it gave me whiplash. Where was the development? The tension? The chemistry? The yearning? The push and pull? All we got was this, when Kit first sees Lara:
I knew she was young, I could tell by her voice, but I never counted on her being drop-dead gorgeous. Fucking hell. She looked like she had stepped out of the pages of a fancy magazine. My breathing was ragged. I didn’t really think about what I was expecting, but not this. Not this. This girl was special. Too special for me … but fuck me, if I didn’t want her the way I wanted nothing else in my life. I wanted to make her mine and never let her go... My heart was hammering as if it was about to fucking explode, and my dick was rock hard and pressing painfully against the zipper of my jeans. It felt as if all the blood in my body had rushed into my damn dick!

Insta-lust is fine, don't get me wrong – but only if later, the characters' transition from lust to love is realistic. Here, one moment there's lust, the next it takes a sharp turn into love without any warning; so fast it gave me whiplash. I hate it when there's clearly no effort put into building the romance.

The spice might still have salvaged it – but don't hold out hope. What we get is:

“Are you going to fuck my tight pussy?” she asked.
“Oh, yes, sweet pea, I sure am”
I pulled out of her mouth and lay her face down on the bed. Her ass was in the air and her pussy peeked through. All pink and wet and begging for it. I plunged my bare cock into all that pinkness.

or:

Surrounded by the sound of our bodies slapping against each other and our heartbeats in my head I, pumped into her. The smell of sex filled my nostrils as I rammed my bone as far into her as possible.

Like instead of spicy can I say these are the exact opposite 😭😭😭 BLAND AND POORLY WRITTEN!!!

Oh, and to make matters worse, this book has the miscommunication trope. Kit hides something from Lara because he can't bear to break the news to her and of course she later finds out, which leads to her leaving. I just want to say I may be one of the few readers who can accept or is happy to read third act breakups these days. But this one was so unnecessary, because it was resolved in a few pages – what was the point of it then?

So tldr: I expected a Beauty and the Beast-esque romance, but all I got was terrible writing all around, lame tropes, a halfhearted plot and forgettable characters.

Well, it may be me not the book but I was so out of the story that I couldn't feel a thing. I couldn't feel it, I couldn't get into it... I was totally bored.

Actually, what put me off was the fact that I thought it would be an emotional read but it was so heavily focused on erotic moments than emotions that I wanted to skip all of them - and I skipped because they were just ordinary.

Also, there wasn't enough dialogue but pages and pages of descriptions about how he made friends with wolves (actually, wolves were cute but there is a page limit in my heart for their cuteness and it was too much for me) and pages and pages of some silly townfolk stuff. Especially what her crazy ex did and what her now present lover did in return was way too over the top for me.

Oh, and it is insta-lust (or love, whatever)

This is what he thinks when they first meet (when she comes to his house for the first time to talk about the job offer of reading to him):

My breathing was ragged. I didn’t really think about what I was expecting, but not this. Not this. This girl was special. Too special for me … but fuck me, if I didn’t want her the way I wanted nothing else in my life. I wanted to make her mine and never let her go.

...

My heart was hammering as if it was about to fucking explode, and my dick was rock hard and pressing painfully against the zipper of my jeans. It felt as if all the blood in my body had rushed into my damn dick!

Nope, this book was so not for me, unfortunately...

Blind Reader Wanted is full of emotion from start to finish. Every emotion imaginable – anger, sadness, joy, hope, and more are expressed in this book. Blind since birth, Lara relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as an artist. Loner Kit wasn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, until he meets Lara. Beautiful, sweet and kind, she’s everything Kit wants. The chemistry between them is absolutely amazing. Just when they look to be heading towards HEA painful truths come between them.

This was an emotionally intense and sensual story of two very different people brought together through their painful pasts. What I did love about this story was the heroine's strength, confidence and ability to make a light of a situation. Though blind, she always tried to look on the bright side of things.

It was a good story and it was refreshing to read something different. The romance, the plot, the characters, and the secondary relationships held my attention from page one. I’m not a big fan of instalove but it kind of worked here and the romance felt realistic. For a unique romance, I would definitely read this. It's different, emotional and very entertaining.

In short:
Hero 4/5 | Heroine 4/5 | Plot (Point, Originality) 5/5 | Writing Style 4/5 | Steam 4/5 | Romance 4/5 | Angst-Suspense 4/5 | Darkness 1/5 | Humor 2/5 | Secondary Characters 4/5 | Drama-Conflict 4/5 | Mystery 0/5 | Twists 5/5 | Pacing Steady | Action 3/5

I’m getting so lucky with my reads lately. This is another new to me author and I can’t wait to read more by her.

Kit and Lara were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved how they became friends first and truly built on that before taking it further. I loved how Kit was just stunned by Lara the first time they met.

This girl was special. Too special for me … but fuck me, if I didn’t want her the way I wanted nothing else in my life. I wanted to make her mine and never let her go.

So even though there’s that insta love/lust thing going on, they still took time to get to know each other. The townspeople were a little bit crazy. The small town gossip was there but some of them we’re downright nuts.

I really loved Lara’s bff Marla. She was funny, sweet and not afraid to speak her mind. I wouldn’t mind seeing her get her HEA. I highlighted many lines in this book because Kit was very different than what I expected him to be. I loved how he loved Lara and tried to understand what it was like for her to live with blindness.

I banged my knee twice, nearly fell over a chair, and hurt my shoulder on the doorframe when I turned too fast to close the kitchen cabinet. I desperately wanted to take the blindfold off, but I didn’t. This was Lara’s world. It made me appreciate the bravery of blind people. The level of trust they place in each step.

There was humor, a bit of angst, but mostly just a touching story of two people who truly needed each other falling in love. I can’t wait to read more by this author especially if she has more heroes like Kit and sweet heroines like Lara.

“What are you afraid of?” I asked him. “I’m afraid of … I’m afraid only of losing you,” he said softly.

Thanks to Michelle and Carla for letting me join their BR!!

I liked the idea of the story, I love grumpy heroes and was expecting an emotional read but this was...I don't know

Kit (H) he literally acted like a horny-teenager from the star

My heart was hammering as if it was about to fucking explode, and my dick was rock hard and pressing painfully against the zipper of my jeans. It felt as if all the blood in my body had rushed into my damn dick!
I was aching for her.
Never did a woman dressed in winter garb have such a devastating effect on me.

That insta-love-lust made him look weird asf.

-¿¿Sawyer?? The most out of context introduction of a side character/OM.

-Their first sex scene was so unrealistic 🙄🙄
I expected something else.

I enjoyed the overall plot of this story and thought it was really engaging. Both characters were easy to like and I thought they were well developed. I did think there needed to be more of a clear plotline though, and at times it felt like there was a little too much trying to happen in only one book. Almost like the author had a lot of ideas for this couple but those ideas just didn't all work together. With so may directions pulling the characters I didn't think each direction was focused on enough.

This was my first book by Georgia Le Carre but it certainly won't be my last. I really liked the plot of this book and I'm interested to see what else this author can come up with.

The first part of this book was hitting all my “soon to be favorite” spots and I was loving everything about Kit and Lara. However, something seemed to change once they officially got together. The dialogue became a bit stilted and even what they said and how they occasionally acted was rather immature. I couldn’t get around it. Then the whole story kind of took a turn that I didn’t see coming and what I thought was going to be the pivoting drama of the book no longer existed. However, I was okay with the direction it took and was glad to see the dialogue cleared up some at that point as well.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read but I was disappointed it lost some of its spark.

What an amazing find!!!
I came across this book while randomly scrolling through my Goodreads feed and I'm so happy I decided to pick it up.
I have found a new favourite author!!

What I loved most is that despite the h being blind since birth, she is one of the most happy, bright and positive fictional characters I've read. She does not spend a single minute in the book dwelling on any negative thoughts or feelings and she throws herself into any new venture with delight, enthusiasm and without inhibitions.

The romance is oh-so-tender. I fell in love alongside with these two.

Need to check out the author's other books soon!

Kit is a scarred man living in isolation in Durango Falls, he drops a help wanted ad in town for a blind reader and Lara a sculptor answers the ad. As she reads to him 2 days a week the two grow closer even as Lara bonds with Kits wolf friends. Unfortunately someone doesn't want Kit and Lara together and Kid's beloved wolves are attacked, additionally Kit is keeping a secret from Lara that he knows may end what they have before it fully begins.

**********
This was a bit disjointed and did not flow properly, at first you think it's a cute romance with a big gruff scarred man and a sweet h....until someone Lara once liked becomes a threat. This was just dropped smack dab into the book, No build up or indication she'd ever even liked another man. It was honestly weird as Heck
Kit's job created another touch of drama that was again unbelievable, we're led to believe he's retired and suffering from PTSD then bam he's some sort of secret government operative! Huh?????
Before the two started having full on porn sex this was such a cute read, they were great together.... Until the crazy stepped in.
All in all not the best but not the worst either

No cheating
h is blind
It'd been almost 2 years since H had been with a woman
h is a Virgin
OM drama from a guy she'd liked before the h

Blind Reader Wanted was so freaking good! I absolutely loved Kit and Lara's relationship!

Lara is blind. Has been since the day she was born. However, that hasn't stopped her from being who she is. She is such a lovable character from the start and of course you'll end up rooting for her to get a happy ending. Especially when Kit comes into the picture. Now Kit is sort of the opposite of Lara. Well, for one.. he's not blind. He's a military man and lives outside of town with his wolves that he rescued. Once he meets her, well it's sort of love at first sight.

Now I totally hate the whole insta love thing in book which is why I applaud Lara's character even more. She doesn't just love him after their first meeting. She definitely takes it a lot slower which made Kit work for the relationship that he wanted. Eventually they got together and it was god damn swoonworthy people!

Besides romance, there were some twists and turns. Some of those I thought they would bite a character in the ass.. other's I just kind of went along with it. I'm an easy person to please!

Overall, this book was really enjoyable. It's free on KU and has some smuttiness - if you're into that kind of thing! Then there's a really sweet epilogue and shit! It was freaking adorable. I loved it! I will definitely be looking into another book by this author.

Ahh romance! I enjoyed this very much. Character driven and real, until the last third of the book at least, when things got a little wonky. I would much rather dwell on the romance because it was that good. And, the sexy parts flew off the pages. Smokin!

There is one chapter where an unsavory character meets his maker. Let's just say the straightforwardness threw me for a loop, which doesn't happen often. The author should try her hand at psycho thrillers / horror. Youza!

I digress. Read it. You will like it. I will definitely try more from this author.

It started okay with it's intriguing and unique plot with it's reclusive grumpy hero and a ray-of-sunshine heroine as the main characters. But eventually there was a shift in the story line that didn't sit right with me. The characters cheesy and cringe-worthy dialogues. The unnecessary exclamation points. The new characters thrown in the middle of the book without any introduction from the POVs of the MCs first.

Yeaaahh... No. I wasn't a fan of the author's writing style.

PS: When you read this book, I swear you won't be able to stop yourself counting the word "grinned" in here. It looks like the author adored that word so much. LOL

I really want to give 5 stars but....

I really like this story. I loved the heroine that had so much spunk and bravery. Lara was one of a kind! Kit was interesting with lots of depth and troubles. I loved how he saw how unique Lara was and how she could breathe life back in him.

But then the story does this 180 degree turn and it didn't fit. It was like the author had Kit lie not just to Lara but to the reader too. If he really wasn't what he said he was then why the build up of his character. It was out of left field to me and kinda ruined it.

I loved the wolves and how they intertwined with the story. Elaine was cool and such a good friend.

A good read I just had trouble with that twist. Enjoy!

Really really sweet story between Lara and Kit.
Lara is blind since birth- but she's never let this get her down. Enjoying life as it comes, she finds joy in everything she touches.
Kit is a soldier post war with PTSD who lives as a recluse. When he doesn't want to face anyone, he gives an ad for a blind reader which Lara volunteers for.
With the help of her friend Elaine, loads of friend wolves, a gossip filled town and a psycho, they find their hea.
I really adored the epilogue and the baby mould. Awww kit! And go Lara for being a kickass heroine ❤
Only complaint is the OTT cliche neighborhood (which century did these people live in?!) and the sudden secret..
Safe read

Ohhhhhhh my heart! This story definitely inspire the "feels"! I don't know how Georgia comes up with her ideas, but BRAVO! This story is definitely one for the masses!

Lara and Kit are not your average Jack and Jill. Lara is young, beautiful, and determined....she's also sight impaired. Kit is battle worn, weary, and a hermit......he's emotionally impaired.

Fate is the culprit to bring these two together through a mutual indulgence. As the two learn to appreciate the small things, we see Lara's beautiful and humble spirit shape Kit's views and outlook on life.

This story exposes beauty in all things. It's beautifully written, tremendous thought invested in the characters, and the scenes flow very well. It's very apparent throughout the story.

I highly recommend this story! It's such a welcome change, a palette cleanser if you will, to the trendy stories!

Five amazing stars!

Kit Carson moved to Durango Falls to settle, keep to himself and deal with his PTSD and the scars that left him feeling alone. The one thing he misses from home though is when his mom read to him as a kid, deciding he would like that comfort again he puts out an ad for a Blind Reader.

Lara was born blind, she also knows all the gossip in town and takes it with a grain of salt. When she finds out about the blind reader request, she calls Kit and offers her services. Kit isn't sure what to think about Lara, but she is stunningly beautiful and he finds she is wonderful inside and out. She doesn't judge Kit and when they are snowed in during a blizzard their friendship takes another step. However there is someone who is not at all happy about Kit and Lara and will do everything he can to pull them apart.

I liked the idea of this but it kind of jumped all over the place with the plot. Liked Lara and Kit together, Kit is skittish but Lara has a way of soothing his nerves. Would check out more by this author.

This was an amazing read. I never read a book by this author before, so I am happy that I picked it up. I loved the story, and how I got to see inside both the hero and heroine's minds. It was very enjoyable. I loved the characters the most. They were really made for each other. The heroine is Lara Young. Although she was born blind, she does not let that stop her from being the bright and positive character that she is. I loved how she sees the world as world. The hero is Kit Carson. He is from the military and he is very misunderstood by the town of Durango Falls. His only family is a pack of wolves that he has named. I thought the bond between the wolves and Kit made me love him more as I saw his more sensitive side and the loneliness that he feels. The romance was a slow burn romance as they go from being friends to lovers. I need to read more of Georgia Le Carre books now. I am a fan. Overall, an incredible read.

Blind Reader Wanted By Georgia Le Carre review

My book group (Dragon’s Book Club) has decided to read this book for the month of April. Here is my review.

Synopsis:

‘PTSD. Awww... looked like it should be a box with a pretty red ribbon around it. I’ll tell you what it is. It was raw screams that infected every damn thought you had during the day, and chased you into your dreams. You woke up screaming, tearing at your own hair. I began to question everything about humanity. Even my own’

PTSD is some pretty awful shit. Let me just put that out there. Anyone who is suffering and surviving with PTSD, you are a true warrior.

‘When we were younger Elaine would do that thing with puddles, where she would should, “puddle” while we were out walking and I would jump to avoid stepping into it.
Sometimes she would should puddle even though there was no puddle. I would jump and she would laugh at me. It should have made me angry, but it didn’t. I liked to hear her laugh.
When you trust, good things happen.’

When you trust, good things definitely do happen.

“He has chosen you to be his special human. Once a wolf chooses a human it will never again treat another human with the same love and affection that it does to the special person it chose.”

I thought this was awesome. Having a huge ass wolf choose you as it’s human. Fuck ya!

“Let me ask you something. If you found out that Kit had just one day left to live, would you still insist on fighting with him, or would you make the most of the time left to you?”

I like this quote because it highlights something very important. You can spend your days fighting with your partner about the stupidest things, or you can spend time with them, loving them like it’s your last day together. And I think more people need to realize this and live by this.

5/5 Stars!

I'm a sucker for books about heroines who have disabilities but power through. If they happen to have an Alpha hero thrown in the mix who doesn't treat her like she's broken, sees her as a sexual being, and, bonus, dominates her, then I'm all over it like white on rice. This had all the makings of a wonderful book.

Lara was born blind, but she doesn't let it stop her from leading a happy, fulfilling life. I loved that she was an artist, that she knew which colors to use by smell and feel.

Kit is a soldier suffering from PTSD. He's horribly scarred which has turned him into quite the hermit, not wanting to face anybody in the small town where he's bought a cabin. The only real relationships he has are with the wolves on his property.

I thought all of the explanations on the hows and the whys for both characters, but especially Lara, were very well done. And I was totally on board with everything...

...until we got to the sex.

If there is one thing I find completely unsexy during dirty talk, it's when the characters personify their junk. A man's penis is not a "he," nor does it have feelings. This took it one step further, aggravating me to no end...

"...but he seems angry. Is he?"
"No, sweetheart. He's not angry. He's just too f'ing excited..."

(Here's the one step further)
"He reminds me of a wild bull."
"That's right. He's just waiting for the gates to open so he can ride on in."

Seriously?! So maybe I should have said characters shouldn't bullify their junk? Steerify? Bovinify? Whatever...it's not sexy.

That being said, I did enjoy a lot of this book, especially the relationship both Kit and Lara had with the wolves (outside of one sexy-time awkward moment), so three stars.

When a book has a title like Blind Reader Wanted, it sparks my interest right away. I felt this immediate curiosity about a romance when one of the characters seemed to be blind and that an ad was posted requiring their unique skills as a reader. Isn't that intriguing? :-D

And then a great story bloomed from it!

Beautifully written, this tale of love, loss and surpassed expectations is one I've thoroughly enjoyed.

Both characters are distinctly portrayed and relatable in their needs. She's blind and creative and fearless in a little gossipy town. He's a former soldier, isolated from human touch, fierce yet compassionate.

I absolutely loved his communion with nature and its wild creatures. The dialogues between Kit and Lara are insightful and interesting, and their relationship feels so warm and deep until passion flares into a carnal union.

From then on, the story is one big dramatic romance full of danger, beauty, secrets putting the couple to the most intense test of all, plot twists that made me tear up, and above all else happiness through fire, so much of it. I just loved it all.

Let me start by saying the title of this book gives it NO justice at all. Blind Reader Wanted???? Ugh. Aside from that this book was really a sweet romance. It wasn’t realistic in any way shape or form but I still enjoyed it. It has the typical book virgin heroine, but thankfully the hero had been celibate for awhile and wasn’t a manwhore. I also appreciate it being offered as a kindleunlimited. I'll read more work by this writer.
