Kyra and Zac are business associates and both are attracted to each other. Kyra is infatuated with him but feels like she is out of his league, him being this high-powered businessman from one of the most established families in the state. This book started out good, I was really looking forward to seeing their relationship grow. Zac did his best to impress Kyra and to get her to give him a chance. However I enjoyed the first half of this book more than I did the second.
The biggest problem I had with Forever Mated was Zac. I did not like him that much. They both had different expectations from each other. Zac came across like a huge player and in my opinion wasn't that likable. Honestly, I didn't really feel a connection between them. I did enjoy the suspense part in this book and I hope it will play a bigger role in the upcoming books. The sex scenes were hot and dirty and I loved it, however the fast development in their relationship didn't feel organic.

4 Star Review Forever Mated (Shifter Date #4) by Alma Black
This is the fourth book in the series was just as quick and enjoyable to read as the previous books. Alma Black certainly has a knack for steamy paranormal story-telling which is not a genre that I have read a lot of.
This is slightly different from the others as the Alpha in this story is Zac a human who has been lusting over Kyra, a lion shifter he works with.
Zac is your typical Alpha, rich, powerful and dominant and although Kyra is a feisty independent woman in businness, privately she often feels insecure. Both have been lusting after the other for a while and when the opportunity finally arises, will Kyra be prepared to risk it all for Zac's affection?
Zac is known as a player and it is for this reason that Kyra has tried to keep away, she wants a family of her own and is concerned that all Zac wants is a good time with no commitment.
As with the previous books, there was some intrigue and it was interesting to see the part Zac's father played in the drama and as Power Shift continues to grow they will threaten Zac and Kyra. Will they be able to overcome the danger, or will their fledgling relationship be broken?
The chemistry between Zac and Kyra is electrifying and certainly extremely hot to read about.
These books are all stand alones but for a deeper level of enjoyment I suggest you read these in order.

After realizing that her crush on alpha Max was just a crush, Kyra throws herself into her work at Shifter Dates. Zac, an investor, has been determined to get a response out of Kyra since he first saw her and she is determined to keep things professional regardless of the feelings he provokes in her. Zac talks her into a date determined to prove there is something between them, but secrets make it hard. When Power Shift decides to go after Zac, Kyra is thrown into the attack by association. Will Zac trust her enough to open up or will his secrets make her pull away from him all together?
Another Shifter Date's hit in my opinion! I loved this story just like the other three and highly recommend the first three books. I love how Zac is an alpha, even being human and how Kyra is determined to prove herself. Cannot wait for more of these books!

I have been reading the Shifter Date books as fast as I can get my hands on them! I enjoy that they are a quick read and always lots of fun!
I will leave to plot and character break down to others. When I read reviews, I want to know about the writing. I am so picky about authors and their styles. A romance is a romance is a romance, it is the author and their writing that makes boy and girl meeting and such worth the read. Ms. Black has a sense of humor in her writing I adore. Her dialog is always witty, the jokes and banter don't seem forced. The situations the characters end up in, always a new twist. And the "love scenes" always panty scorching!

This is a good compilation of authors and a great introduction to their works. I enjoyed all the novellas and plan on looking for more of their books.

Professionally, Kyra is a confident and intelligent woman. When it comes to relationships, however, that same confidence disappears leaving her struggling on the dating front. She's made a fool of herself once in the love department and has no desire to repeat the experience. But there's just something about Zac that calls to her inner lioness..
With his wealth and family name, women have always come easily to Zac. Until Kyra. She has always maintained her professionalism around him, but sneaking glances tell him there's more than meets the eye. Zac may not have the shifting ability his friends have, but he does have the alpha personality and commanding presence. If he could just get Kyra to spend some time alone with him, he could show her his bossy side and rock her world..
This novella was a great blend of sweet and steamy! Told with dual pov's, Zac and Kyra's emotions and vulnerabilities are laid bare. And the chemistry between these two..well, there's some very HOT action in the kitchen..on the couch..and then there's the pesky little detail about Zac's father and the Powershift group he needs to come clean with...
With each entry, Black ups her game and delivers solid, satisfying characters and storylines I can't wait to crack open! The romance is spot on and there is just enough drama with the baddies to quench my need for shifter fighting action! If you're looking for a sexy and relatively lighthearted paranormal read, the Shifter App series should hit the spot!

This is the fourth installment in the Shifter Date series. There is plenty of steamy romance, some action and suspense to keep the pages turning. Zac starts out being a player and has to work hard to get Kyra to give him a chance. Kyra, in spite of being professionally strong, is not very confident on the dating scene. Do they have a HEA? Read and see!

You can feel the chemistry coming off the pages between Zac an Kyra. Each of the stories from the Shifter Date series just flow into each other. Love this series.

Another 5 Star addition to the series. This one is scorching hot!! I love how Kyra is such a contradiction. Strong ass business woman yet unsure of herself when it comes to love . And she totally knocks human playboy Zac off his feet! Again great characters and romance by Alma! Power Shift still causing trouble, hopefully next book we get a little deeper into them. I received an ARC for an honest review and really cannot wait for more in this series.

Meh!
3 Stars - This is the fourth book in the series. Even though Zac, a human and Kayra, a Lioness shifter were a good couple, I believe this series should be coming to an end soon. Probably, with two more stories...Leandra's and Zoey's. It has gotten to the point that it is taking too long to wrap up. I don't like to give up on series, but the interest in the Shifter Date App and the bad guys is not meshing well with the stories anymore. So, it is getting boring.

This is the second book of Alma’s that I have read, although I liked parts of the story, I didn’t like it as much as the other book I had read (this kitten’s got claws).
I liked Kyra and I wanted her to get the man she wanted but I wasn’t as keen on Zac. One minute he was all over Kyra and then the next he was saying to himself that he didn’t want to be tied down, that he just wanted to have naked fun with Kyra. And then he went back to wanted her as his own and couldn’t stay away from her. I found myself shouting at my kindle for him to make his damn mind up! During parts of the story (mainly the battle between the shifters and the power shift) I found myself confused and had to keep re reading the page just to get my head around who was winning and what the other shifters were doing when they came out to help and ended up fighting with one another.
Although I struggled with this book in parts, I would and am going to read more of Alma’s books.

Forever Mated is book 4 in Alma Black's Shifter Date series and although it can be read as a stand alone, I urge you to read the previous books because there is a continuous storyline that is flowing through each one plus they are all awesome reads!
Kyra works for Max at Shifter Date and she is very good at what she does. She takes great pride in her work but not so much in her love life. She is secretly in love with Zac who happens to be Max's business partner but she feels out of her element around him. He's gorgeous, confident and filthy rich and after the fiasco of her last crush, Kyra is doubting herself. She doesn't want to make a fool of herself again with an unrequited attraction so she tries to keep her feelings for Zac to herself. Little does she know but Zac wants Kyra and he plans to have her.
I loved the spin on this story with hero being human and the heroine the shifter. Have no worries about Zac, despite being human he is more than enough Alpha to take on a lioness. However, his pursuit of Kyra is going on at the same time as some serious family issues which cause Kyra to have some misunderstandings of Zac's intentions.

But, by the end, I was a fan.
I definitely liked the thriller/suspense angle in book four. We continue learning more about PowerShift, and those who are in it. The romance/sex is as hot and steamy as ever. With each book, Ms. Black continues to impress. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the novellas. They are perfect, just long enough for those binge reading sessions, because it's impossible to put the book down once you begin reading.

Another fine entry in the series. This one was a bit different in that the male is human and the female is a lion shifter. Both are powerful and confident, except when it comes to each other. I wish it could have been a little longer, with a little more character building and background. There is a good amount of suspense due to PowerShift, and how Zac's family is affected. There could have been a little more depth put into that part of it and in the final faceoff for this chapter.
The sex is hot. The buildup to it is hot too. One thing that bothered me though was when they were talking dirty on the dance floor among all these shifters, who I think would have superior hearing, and were throwing off all sorts of pheremones, NONE of the people around seem to notice-no "get a room" or "TMI" or anything. One would think that Max at least would be saying that he did not need to hear that about his honorary sister. Maybe there was enough of the same thing happening around them that they got lost in the crowd.
Each of the books is a standalone with an HEA, but make more sense when read in order.

Let me start by saying that I am hooked on this series - I get so excited every time I see a new instalment coming out!
Forever Mated focuses on Kyra - a lion shifter and Zac - a human.
We first met Kyra in Shifter Date: Must Love Lions... She was Max's little sisters best friend and has since moved on to become Max's PA.
Zac is Max's business partner at Shifter Date and has felt an attraction to Kyra since the moment he first met her.
Done with waiting, Zac makes his move on Kyra but with Power Shift around every corner, he has more to contend with than just Kyra's weariness.
While each book in this series could be read as a standalone, I would advise reading them in order as there is a plotline that is running through each book that all ties together.
These books, whilst rather short, really pack a punch... They have suspense, hot sex, alpha men and a great storyline all tied up with a pretty bow.
Highly recommended.

I was so glad Kyra got her own story even though I wasn't to sure about her. Kyra realized that her crush on her best friends brother was just that a crush, now that she has met Zac the human that help run Shifter date the app that mates humans and shifters. Kyra finally gets to have a chance to show Max that he can give her more responsibility and it will also give her a chance to be alone with Zac.
Zac is pretty excited to have Kyra to himself and he asked her on a date which she accepted saying it was for work. Zac can tell Kyra wants him but he wants to make sure she really wants him he leaves her right at the edge, and then he goes home. Zac isn't the only one who is interested in Kyra someone's watching from the shadows of Kyra's home.
I just love this series of stories centering around the shifter date app and I really loved Kyra and Zac's story. I will be looking forward to more.

Kyra, a lion shifter would love to find her mate but so far she has had no luck. She had a crush on her boss in the past and she was embarrassed on how far she went to get her attention. Instead of finding a lion shifter mate, the only man she is interested in is Zac who is not only human but is also her boss. A group called Power Shift doesn't like humans and shifters mingling.
Zac has been trying to catch Kyra's interest for a while now and he isn't going to take no for an answer. He doesn't care that she is a shifter. However his business and his father keep on destroying promising moments. Hi dad is being blackmailed by power shift.
This a both sweet and steamy read. It is a stand alone story but reading the whole series does give a little extra. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is the fourth book in the Shifter Date series and we have a new couple who has to still deal with the same problem that is part of the theme across the series thus far—Power Shift—a hate group that believes that shifters should stay with shifters and within their own kind, much like how some supremacist groups are today. So far, all of the couples are what would be considered “mixed couples” in some way. I can understand some of the frustrations and doubts that they have encountered because I’m in a similar situation. I am enjoying reading Alma Black’s stories because despite being PNR, they have elements of real life in them that would make the stories believable regardless of whether or not the characters could shift into other creatures. I look forward to the next story!

Lioness shifter Krya Brown has done really well since starting with the "shifter Date" company. Taking the scheduled meeting on her own with the human partner is causing her doubts. It's not because of the work, she is confident with that. It's the fact that she fancies the man, he is irresistible to her and her lioness.
Zac Highstead is used to having his pick of the most beautiful women. Most only want his money. But there is one that is denying him. He also knows that his father is in trouble, but won't tell him.
With the troublesome "Power Shift" group still causing problems ,can a lioness and a human have any chance.
This is one series i think you should read in order. It has lots of excitement, steamy sex scenes and a really good story line. I love this series.

We go back into the Shifter Dating world, this time with Kyra and Zac. Although they don't find themselves dating from the app, they know each other through the business. When Max has Kyra hold a meeting with Zac by herself, both of them show their cards, Zac admitting he wants her and Kyra admitting the same. But can a human and a lioness be mated?
Once again, I can't go into too much detail as this is a short, but I will say this is a short with a whole lot going on. Not only do we have the Kyra and Max drama, but Power Shift (the rouges) make a major move and there is a wee bit of violence. The sexy times are seriously freaking hot! I give this 4.5 stars.

I really enjoyed this story. Kyra is a smart self-assured lioness shifter who can handle anything but her attraction to her human boss Zac. He is a tall hot man whore who has never had to work for a woman. Till now. Kyra is smart enough to know that there are things to consider when dealing with Zac. He is human she isn’t. He is older. He is really tall. She has a crappy record with men. He is sort of her boss. She wants a forever kind of love and he is looking for a good time. But when he pushes it she gives in to his request for a date. Now she has to protect her heart and he has to protect her from the hate group Power Shift. And we get to watch all the fun.

I loved this book, it's my favourite of the series so far. With an intriguing and entertaining storyline, filled with suspense, romance, and some action. I loved the characters, although Zack was a bit of idiot to start off with with his playboy attitude, but he soon changed and I warmed to him. Kyra was really sweet, smart, and when she wanted something she went for it. Zack and Kyra had a fiery chemistry, that came across perfectly and they made a great couple. My only grumble is they never actually mated, although he did ask her to marry him. Otherwise overall this was a very enjoyable read.

This is book four in the Shifter Date series and it features Kyra and Zac, two co-workers who have worked together for a while now, who MAY be nursing a mutual attraction toward each other.
I don't want to give too much away so I'll just say that I did like this book quite a bit. There didn't seem to be as much character background as there normally is, but it was still a well written book. Grammatical errors slay me and there weren't many to be found. The book was definitely a nice way to pass the time and I don't regret it. I hope to visit this world again soon.

Shifter Romance
This book had wonderful characters. A rich human male and a bright and sensitive lion shifter woman have secretly admired each other for a while. But he is one of the executives at the company she works for. And since she already went through the unrequited love scenario with the other executive Max, she is not about to do the same thing with Zac. Only this time unbeknownst to Kyra, Zac's attraction is real and he is about to make his move. This was a wonderful shifter love story. The book did not have a lot of action or resolution on the problems with Power Shift. But if you love shifter romance, you will love this book.

Kyra and Zak - Zak wanted Kyra but had not ever shown it. Kyra wanted Zak but was afraid to let him know. it was fun to watch them navigate their relationship when they were so unsure of themselves and each other. Power Shifters popped up and tried to cause trouble without success. That part of the story should be fleshed out more. Overall, the story was really good. the power shifter part had no bearing on it. Once again, Alma Black gives us a good shifter story and is very enjoyable to read. I wa given this book for an honest review

I was given a free copy of this book without any expectations. Kyra is a strong business woman but issues in her personal life have left her very insecure when it comes to men.She wants Zac in the worst way but doesn't want to make a fool of herself over him. Zac has it bad for Kyra and she's been keeping it all business but he's going to make her his.Power Shift is back and they are after Zacs family making things even more difficult for these two. Lots of heat and emotion make this story a must read .I loved it and can't wait for more from this author.
