Hiro Fujiwara (藤原ヒロ in Japanese) is a Japanese manga artist.

The manga artist was once active under her previous pen name, Izumi Hiro (和泉 ヒロ) at the end of the 1990's but has abandoned the name after she won the Best Rookie award in the LMS for Kaeri Michi, Yuki no Netsu.

Her first series, which is also her latest ongoing work, Kaichō wa Maid-sama! (会長はメイド様!, translation Maid Sama!) is currently serializing in Hakusensha's monthly shōjo manga magazine, LaLa. This series is licensed by Tokyopop for North America, and an anime adaptation was broadcast during Spring 2010.

Another great addition to the series, these volumes just keep getting better and better. I feel like I caught up with where I was in the anime so the things that happen after this volume will be something that I am excited for. I can't wait to continue reading this manga series!

Love, passion, why do we get caught up by such troublesome feelings? The mind couldn't ever get things straight, and you lose control to know what is sensible. Deep down it's all so vexing.

This is about a girl named Misaki, who is the school president of Seika High. Her family is having a rough time financially and in order to help out, she works as a maid in a cafe. She wanted this to be kept a secret but one day, Usui finds out this secret. He is one of the popular boys at Seika High. After this day, Usui won't stop following Misaki. Both of them go through a bunch of adventures and fun.

I really don't get it. Why don't you tell her how you feel if you care for her so much? Why would you lie like that and keep yourself from pursuing her?

One of the things I loved about this volume is that we get to see the insight of how other people feel about Usui and Misaki. I loved how one of the character said they will make a golden combo! :)


It was awesome to see Usui and Misaki's relationship develop. They understand each other and are always there for each other. I loved the different obstacles and challenges they had to go through in this volume. It showed how strong these two were and I enjoyed reading it. It was so entertaining!



I love all of the characters in this manga, Usui is smart and strong. Misaki knows how to take care of herself, she worries about others but does not have anyone worrying about her. She has a lot of good friends like Sakura. Shintani is hilarious, I love his character. I love how naive Kanou is in this volume. It was awesome to read more about different characters.



I can't wait to read more, as I have mentioned a bunch of times already. If you haven't read any manga yet, I highly recommend you start with this series. If you have read manga and want something light and funny, I recommend this series. If you have already watched the anime and want more, I highly recommend you read this. If you do not want to reread the parts you have already watched in the anime, I suggest you start reading from volume 7. :)

I don't have much to say about this volume other than I wasn't surprised a third person showed up to throw off Usui's attempts to win Misaki over and....

I LOVE YUKIMURA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, I've always adored him, but now I love him even more! He's so wonderful!

Misaki was bad ass as always! I just love her. I also really like Aoi-chan too!

But, in lieu of me not having much to say, I will leave you with this most bad ass photo of Misaki, Usui, and Shintani!

Why can't I get away from this silly series? Why do I keep doing this to myself? I enjoy it, but I also don't really enjoy it.

At the same time, it's an easy series to read for the SWON 2015 Teen Reading Challenge, so there is that.

Super cute! I liked this one the best because now we’re starting to flush out the relationship between Misaki and Usui, so I like the progression. It’s also like the most ridiculous story but I kinda love that about it.

Ayuzawa kedatangan teman masa kecilnya. Hinata sangat lucu dan tingkah bodohnya membuat Ayuzawa harus mengawasinya. Hal ini membuat Usui cemburu.
Awww, so sweet bgt waktu Usui marah karna cemburu dan Ayuzawa jawab kamu lebih susah diatur dibanding dia dengan wajah merah. Gak kuat dong Usuinya 😚😊

This volume brings an awesome new character into the mix with none other than Misaki's childhood friend/sweetheart. DUN DUN DUN... And Hinata (said sweetheart) is super adorable and I love him (and his love for food ;D). His dynamic with Misaki is brilliant and I love how freaked out the majority of the males at their school were when they found out that Misaki was the adorable and sweet little girl that Hinata was talking about from his memories. Absolute perfection c:

I wasn't a huge fan of the chapters at the camp, but overall I really enjoyed this volume - especially with the special bonus chapter focusing on Aoi and the side story focusing on Yukimura and his little sister <3

Usually, the last chapter makes me lose my mind, but this time, the first chapter was the killer.
We open the volume with Misaki a flustered mess because of Usui and my man is fully unravelling for her. In the beginning, he was intrigued by her, but slowly he became fascinated. Then he began actually to care for her, and soon the point came when she started driving him crazy.
And now, he's genuinely in love with her.
And my God, am I losing my mind!

I was confused at first, why would Kanou observe them like that? But I guess he has a habit of people-watching, and a mixture of curiosity and wanting to understand. But I was just thinking that the kid needs to be careful with Usui. And Kanou may not understand it, but Usui has reasons for saying that an actual relationship would make things difficult.

Another thing that made me squeal way too loud was when Misaki wiped the cream from Usui's face and I swear I heard Usui's heart stop for a second. i remember in the anime Usui mentions that he's been holding back and enduring Misaki's actions and I didn't remember exactly what he'd been enduring and now I see. Now I see. I mean, if the girl you're in love with keeps getting closer to you only to pull back and try to explain away her affection, you'd be in a spiraling case of self-restraint and enduring as well.

Then there's Hinata. He finally arrived just when Usui's past was brought into question. Misaki needs to come to terms with her feelings quicker before she hurts Usui worse than she intends to. But for a past friend now possible pursuer to come along and make things even more frustrating for Usui just proves he's God's strongest soldier.
But at the very least, Misaki assured him, in her own way, that he matters more to her than Hinata.
My little idiots.

Laltly, the boys making it seem like they were going to bully Hinata, only to play a guess-the-food game with him and then giving him the snacks as a prize? WHY SO ADORKABLE!! It's like 'boys will be boys' but they're idiots. And I love them.

It’s been too long since I saw progress in the Misa/Usui relationship!! Too long! This is my favorite volume thus far. So many cute moments, it dragged me out of a terrible hellish day I was having.

I love how Usui always hides his face when he’s feeling...emotions *gasps*. In New Girl when Cece tells Jess there’s one way to confirm if Jess was Nick’s girlfriend: if Jess picks lint off of Nick’s shirt instead of simply pointing it out, that’s proof enough. Misa-chan. You wiped that whipped cream off the boy’s face. You don’t understand what this means, BUT I DO!!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

Looking forward to Christmas, finding out if my loving boyfriend bought me the rest of this series.

Ach man, ich weiß auch nicht so recht... je älter ich werde, desto deutlicher merke ich, wie viele Gender-Klischees diese Reihe eben bedient. Irgendwie spielt sie damit, diese aufzuzeigen, um sie zu brechen, und tut es dann eben doch nicht. Es kratzt wirklich sehr nah daran vorbei, nicht unterstützenswert zu sein. Aber ich kann noch nicht ganz loslassen, weil ich es doch irgendwie enjoyable finde. Ich warte wohl nur auf den downfall und die Enttäuschung, wenn die Geschichte irgendwann wirklich mitten im Fettnäpfchen sitzt...
P.S.: Dieser Band war auch storymäßig nicht so stark, die beiden Bonuskapitel am Ende fand ich total doof.

the extra stories were so so good, but the main volume itself is just so 2 dimsensional and boring. i really wish usui and misaki had more scenes together because they're finally having some chemistry but it's mainly just ott comedy and its just not pulling me in like i'd hoped. i also want more development for usui and misaki as characters because that interests me more than misaki getting pissed and beating everyone up and usui saving the day all the time. also the boys attacking the girls thing was super weird. would've been a 2.5* if not for the extra chapters.

Por alguna razón sentí que este tomo es un poco más de lo mismo, pero creo que la llegada del inmaduro Hinata va a traer un montón de disparates sin sentido en un futuro.

Lo que más puedo rescatar en esta ocasión:
-Misaki, Usui y Hinata peleando contra los hombres "enloquecidos" en el campamento, ¡No puedo esperar a ver eso en el anime!
-Como detesté a Ruri Yukimura, mocosa malcriada. Se merecía unas buenas nalgadas, no que le cumplieran todo los caprichos.

Vol. kali ini ceritanya lebih fokus di sekolah ya. Ada murid baru yang suka Misaki, tapi juga menganggap Usui keren. Jatuhnya bukan saingan cinta ya hahaha ^^

Sebenarnya kurang ngerti juga sih kalau ceweknya ga peka, apakah cowoknya ga bisa ngungkapin perasaannya? Padahal jelas-jelas ceweknya kelihatan suka sama cowoknya *hmmm...*.

Cerita tambahannya tentang Yukimura dan Aoi. Aoi kelihatan kagum sama Misaki ya. Kalau Yukimura selalu aja penuh air mata XD

When the blurb said there will be a triangle love, I thought the transfer student, Shintani Hinata would be as cool as Usui. But, I have to be disappointed because he isn't. He is far cool from Usui. Sigh. The main story for this volume is about the outing activities. Other than when Usui and Misaki got time together, I just feel annoyed by Shintani.

The extra chapters of the volume were really fun to read, the 3 idiots showing their original faces for Misa chan's sake,Aoi being as fabulous as always making all the costumes and Yukimura being too adorable. The temple chapter was hilarious as well, with Usui being possessive over his kaichou, well we all know Hinata doesn't stand a chance anyway.

Ok, good to see Usui softening up. I prefer this over the aggressive, sensual side. It was getting a bit tiresome to see Usui and Misaki so tense with each other. The new characters being introduced are mostly fine. Hinata is an absolute gem. The guys from the other school are such a pain. Hopefully they don't come back.

Jealous Usui We get Misaki’s childhood friend coming back and confessing he always had feelings for her.

The field trip story doesn’t make much sense. Like why were the boys acting out? What were they going to do when they got to the girls? Why do the teachers still do the field trip if it puts the girls in danger?

The two bonus chapters were silly but entertaining.

Une lecture agréable, avec de l'humour. Dans ce tome Misaki commence à enfin s'apercevoir de ces sentiments pour Usui.
Dans ce tome on l'arrivée d'un nouveau personnage, qui met Usui à l'épreuve du sentiment de la jalousie. J'ai hâte de lire la suite, est voir comment les choses vont évoluer.

Aparece un "rival amoroso" (entre comillas porque imposible ganarle a Usui) y le agrega más drama a la historia, cosa que me gusta porque vemos a Usui celoso y yo amo esas escenas, aunque si lo digo así suena medio tóxico jsjsjs.
