There are a set of unspoken rules when it comes to dealing with Reggie Mantle. Rules that, when broken, can easily get you on his bad side. Unfortunately for most of the people Reggie encounters, they don't know these rules. In fact, there's only one person that does -- and it isn't a person at all, it's Reggie's devoted Dachshund, Vader. With half of Riverdale High School having committed the mortal sin of ditching a Mantle house party, Archie and Betty's attempts at interfering in Reggie's life, Midge actually pitying Reggie and a friendship request from someone very unexpected, Reggie and Vader are going to have to get a lot smarter about their schemes!

We understand that Betty is one of Archie's best friends and she likes him also that's why she cares to much on that red-head. It's also unacceptable that Reggie is mean ever since but Betty does not have the slightest idea that Reggie just lacks attention that's why he's acts like that. I like Midge for still being friendly to Reggie despite his reputation. Maybe Midge knew that Reggie needs friends and affection because he can't seem to get it from his family.

Entertaining & Interesting

(No, really, I hate having to make headlines for these.)

Apparently, this is the second issue of Reggie & Me; what I thought was book 2 is actually book 4 and I've therefore read these out of order. Thankfully, however, they stand alone well and I didn't feel like I'd missed anything or that knowing the future ruined my enjoyment of this issue.

Reggie, of course, is a bit of a creep... but he is also nuanced and I like that we see glimpses of that through his dog, Vader. We also get to see why he hates Archie and Betty so much, which was a story that left me feeling a lot of sympathy for young Reggie.

Overall, this felt like a quicker read than some of the other modern Archie comics- including issues in this particular series- but it still managed to entertain me nonetheless.
