Savannah- I was perfectly content with my life, or at least I thought I was. Then Zander ‘The Hitman’ Cage walked into my bar with those hypnotizing blue eyes and everything I ever thought I wanted flew out the window. Giving him a chance was the easiest decision I ever made. He ripped apart my safe little existence and took me along for the ride of my life. He was a fighter, a hero and every woman’s fantasy.

Zander- I didn’t need any distractions coming up on the biggest fight of my career, but fate had other plans. Savannah was a breath of fresh air and the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I never planned on meeting her, I also don't plan on letting her go. I'll do whatever it takes to show her that I'm more than just the name, and will stop at nothing to make her mine.

Hot MMA fighter finds his girl! I enjoy a MMA story and this didn't disappoint! Zander and Savvy got together and stayed together. I appreciate that they never strayed!

HERO~ ahhh Zander "the hitman" Cage.  What a hunky dreamboat.  Sexy alpha MMA fighter and recent gym owner. I really liked him.  Although it was mentioned that he had a "manwhorish" past,  we didn't see him in action at all.  He had said that when he first became famous,  he took the women up on their offers but his mom finding him in a comprising position and her look of disappointment made him see that his behavior was not what he wanted.  He cleaned up his act and had been on the straight and narrow for a couple years.

Putting two fingers under my chin he lifts it so he can look in my eyes. “I’m not going to lie. When I first got into fighting I took what was thrown at me. I was with a lot of women and I went to lots of parties, but when I realized I was going somewhere in this business, it really had me thinking. I didn’t want any of that to be what I was known for. I want to be known for who I am in this Octagon, not in the tabloids. I stopped partying and dating the easy women and focused more on my career and here I am, about to be in the biggest fight of my career,”

Once he saw Savanna  (Savvy) he knew that she was it for him and he only had eyes for her.  He was protective,  loving and kind.  Savvy was his first priority over all things.

HEROINE~ I liked Savvy.   She was funny,  smart and spunky.  She co-owned a bar with her best friend and was good with her life.   The moment she saw Zander for the first time,  she knew her life would never been the same.

SEXUAL HISTORY~As mentioned, Zander was reformed from his playboy ways long before he met Savvy.   There was a couple times it was mentioned but we didn't see him engaging in anything other than with Savvy.
Savvy had been single for about a year after finding her boyfriend cheating on her with one of her bartenders.

VIOLENCE ~ Aside from his MMA fight scenes, there was an incident of a physical assault with an intent to rape-no rape occurred but that was his intentions.

OM DRAMA ~crazy lunatic ex that caused trouble but he never came between the couple

OW DRAMA~

SECONDARY CHARACTERSI absolutely cracked up at Savvy's dad.   He had some scene stealing moments for sure.  Zander brother Josh was good,  he had a thing for Savvy's best friend and was trying to be with her (they are book 2).  Josh's twin brother Jayden was funny BUT, he was a manwhore and there was a scene that Savvy walked in on him with a random bent over the couch - gross.  If he is a future "hero" I don't know if I can bleach my brain enough to read it to be honest.

ENDING~ I was disappointed in the HFN ending.  There was no epilogue for the couple,  it was a set up for the next book.   So disappointing!

**Book 2 is coming out very soon and I can't say for certain if I will read it (I'm disappointed because I enjoyed this gang )

****SOME SPOILERS****

This is a debut novel which is really hard to believe, I absolutely loved it. There's Savvy, her dad and best friend Ashlyn they are a lovable trio. Then you get the Cage men that can melt the panties of women. Then there's one character that needs a good beat down. There's insta-love, hot sex, jealousy, hatred and loads of sassy/witty humour in this book.

Savvy (Savannah) Jenks owns the Monkey Bars bar with her best friend Ash it is her pride and joy. Her business is suffering thanks to the earth shaking noise coming from the building next door that is being renovated. She,messages the owner. The owner turns up at her bar and he is hot, there us an instant spark between them. But as Savvy finds out he is a professional MMA fighter called the Hitman. Savvy's dad has gone all Rambo on all her ex boyfriends but he is fan grilling his ass off when he finds out his is daughter is dating. Savvy has problems with heR ex Luke but she never quite though the was as devious as he was. Leading to a chain of events for Savvy & Zander to overcome.

Zander Cage is a family man at heart. He's fed up with the groupies and easy lays. He wants to get his MMA gym open and win the biggest fight in his career. He has the pleasure of encountering the sexy sassy Savvy and he's a goner from the second he laid his eyes on her perving on him through the window. He sets out to get his woman and there will be no tapping out for Savvi. She is Zander's whole world and will do anything for her, even some of the crazy requests she might make.

Does Luke manage to break them apart?

The book ends with Ashlyn's epilogue. I can't wait to read this book she is absolutely crazy in a good way.

my sister read this one before me and really loved it, so imagine my surprise when I got to 31% and made the decision to DNF it… it wasn’t horrible, in fact I am giving it 3 stars, but I just couldn’t continue… I liked the chemistry between Savannah and Zander but they went from nothing to a whole lot super fast…

SPOILERS about the part of the story I read

in the part I read they met, went on a date, had some hot interactions, then he had to go on a trip (the timing of which made very little sense) where he was photographed with his friend who wanted to make a scene to become more popular so she kissed him and the photos were everywhere, which made Savannah decide she wants nothing to do with him... when he got back he asked for a chance to explain (and I do appreciate she gave him that chance) but then they talked and all of a sudden she was ok (after being super pissed off and all like “I don’t want nothing to do with him”) and then immediately after that coversation they have sex… at this point I was rolling my eyes to the point I was afraid they would stay in the back of my mind… don’t get me wrong, I know it’s definitely a me thing, cause for a lot of you it won’t be an issue but it bothered me to the point where I couldn’t enjoy the story… the writing style wasn’t spectacular enough for me to get over stuff like that, so I am throwing in the towel, but if it sounds interesting to you, I think the majority of you will really like it :) give it a try and see for yourselves :)

XOXO

Savannah is going nuts with all the construction for a gym next door, it is slowing her business at the bar she owns with her best friend. Deciding to take matters into her own hands she tries to meet with the owner but is out of luck since he is not there, but she does leave him a note.

Zander sees Savannah once in a wacky way and he knows she is different than the other women he has been with. Zander is a MMA fighter known as "The Hitman" who is ramping up to his next bout for the title, he really doesn't need the distraction but he knows Savannah is worth taking the chance. However, her ex is still trying to win her back but Zander does not plan on letting her go.

Loved this, I thought it was really funny and can't wait to read next in series. All the characters are fun in this and the story had some really funny laugh out loud moments. Definitely one to reread again.

3.5 STARS

Not a bad debut book, I enjoyed it. A little extra at times but hello! Loyal hero with minute OW drama!
I always appreciate writers who don't apply the overused, annoying OW plot in there books. There is a very small OW scene but frankly, it didn't have any weight and it was like a 0.2 sec one time thing (HALLELUJAH to that).

The h's dad was hilarious. Hero was really good, heroine though childish and annoying at times, was not a bad character.

Will definitely read the next book, it sounded intriguing and I have a few Q's.

2.5 stars for this really good story. However, where the story was really good, the execution of it lacked.

I love reading newbie authors. I have no idea what they can do, so I go into reading their work with fresh eyes and no expectations. It's the expectations that kill books for me usually. I give newbies a lot of leeway.

Plot wise, this was a very nice story. The characters were sweet and good for each other, and the plot was plausible. I love it that it wasn't filled with angsty jealousy or floozy-filled groupies to cause drama. Sure, there was an unhinged ex-turned-stalker, but thank God it was her ex and not one of his. That would have been a deal breaker for me.

Execution wise... let's just say it was very obvious reading this that the author was new. It started out so awkwardly; it almost felt like I was reading the rough draft... the one where a bunch of disjointed ideas were jotted. Grammar problems galore slowed the process of muddling through the beginning. Nothing flowed smoothly. It was hard to keep reading.

Then it started picking up the pace, and the bumpiness from the beginning smoothed out a bit. Grammar issues still existed, but the steamy scenes gave me hope. There was still awkwardness, and maybe I just got used to her style. However, as the story became more intriguing, reading got easier.

I cringed at all the grammatical mistakes, and to read in the author's acknowledgments at the end that she had a proofreader correct the grammar? Please get someone else for your next book, Brittany. That chick missed a lot.

I will read another book by this author. I feel she grew in this book. She has a lot of potential. I just really hope she finds an editor better than her last one.

I wish there was an option to give this book more then 5 ⭐. Saying I loved this book is an under statement.
Savannah just thought she was content with life. Then one day leaving work, she sees this sexy black truck pull up, and a guy walk into the gym. Not even fully knowing what he looked like she knew there was something different about this guy. The next day "The Hitman" walked into her bar and changed everything.
Zander is getting ready for the biggest fight of his life. Never did he think he would find the love of his life by one encounter of 2 lady's spying on him. Now that he has meet Savannah he plans to do everything in his power to make her his.
This book is a must read!

I'm going to be the bad guy and give this book it's first 1-star rating. This book just is not for me.

Overall, the main reason why I did not like this book was that I felt like it was badly written. All throughout... as I was reading... I had the impression that the author thought of what she would like to read in a romance novel and threw together bits and pieces of everything she liked in other books and boom! thought she had enough for her own solid story. but oh man, the outcome... well, it. just. fell. flat.

How do I explain myself better? It's like going to a five-Michelin-star restaurant and tasting an uber spectacular cake then trying to copy it at home on one's own. "Hmmm... I know how to make a chocolate cake! I'll melt some chocolate and I'll add it to the batter. Then all I need to do is mix in flour, butter, eggs, and oooh I think I tasted some coffee in it, so let's add that too." And you bake it. But when it comes out of the oven, the cake looks horrible and tastes nothing like that 5-star dessert.

This book is just like that at-home-cake-hack-of-a-Michelin-star-dessert. Caged had components of what really could've been a great story. The ingredients were there but the measurements for the flour/sugar/chocolate/butter/etc were off. And something essential was lacking.

Everything in this book, to me, touched on things in a too superficial a manner.

I felt like Savvy and Zander were lacking in background --- not enough was written about their thoughts, struggles, emotions. She's supposed to be a "savvy" (pun-intended) bar owner but she doesn't come off as that. She seems more like a "regular" bartender rather than a smart and hardworking proprietor of a successful business. Zander is hot, a great fighter, and yeah he trains a lot. But what else? They come off as one-dimensional. Their personalities didn't come to life for me.

Certain scenes in the book also felt inserted oddly. Almost like, "hey, I need to throw in a scorcher of a sex scene between these two characters, so let's have them do the horizontal mambo... right aboooooouuuut.... now!" Then... "I need to throw in some action in here because some drama would be good, so let's make it happen in 3, 2, 1." I can't explain it any better... but it was like being on a weird, disjointed car ride with a faulty GPS. Or watching a B-movie where you know what's going to happen and as you're watching, you're cringing. Like that.

I found some of the dialogue crass and some of the scenes crude and in poor taste. I was also hard-pressed to find the witty humor other reviewers raved about. Yet I finished the book because I kept hoping that the epilogue would somehow redeem all the previous chapters I read. But gah, I hated it.

Sigh. Again, this book could've been great. I mean look at that cover and the blurb really hooks you in. But after finishing the story, I feel like I need to re-read one of my all time favorites to reassure myself that there are really well-written books out there. Sorry. Deleting this one from my Kindle.

4.5 Stars to Caged (Bound by Cage #1) by author Brittany Crowley.
My Rating: 4.5
Cover: 5
Published: January 24, 2017
Read: April 19, 2017
POV: First-person dual (Mostly heroine)
Standalone: However, the epilogue is the lead into the next book.
Series: Bound By Cage
Genres: Romance, Erotica, Suspense, Sports (MMA)

Savannah (Savvy) and Zander.......

Brittany Crowley is a new author for me. And as a matter of fact, Caged, is her debut novel. I can honestly say I am a fan. This book has hooked me in anticipation of the rest of the series. I adored all the Cage brothers. Zander, Josh, Jayden, and Kyle. Each brother is lovable with a unique personality. These men are sexy, alpha, and loyal. In addition, they can be romantic and sweet; the perfect all-around book boyfriend.

Savvy co-owns the bar next-door to the new gym Zander is renovating for MMA training. Zander himself is a professional, successful MMA fighter with wealth and celebrity status. Not to mention he is gorgeous and sexy!

Before Savvy and Zander meet officially, they have a brief moment in which a connection is formed. They have some seriously strong and magnetic chemistry. That particular moment in the book was hilarious. In fact there are scenes in this book that had me laughing aloud. There is one scene in particular that is a favorite standout of mine. I won't spoil that for you however I will warn you that when the Cage brothers are together, prepare to swoon, smile, and laugh.

Another point I loved about this book was the family dynamics. The Cage family was very close. Savvy and her father had a close relationship as well. Savvy's best friend and business partner, Ashlyn, were more like sisters. I want to point out that Savvy's father was a fun-loving, witty, and outrageous character. He was hilarious!

Among the sexiness and humor in Caged was some suspense brought on by and ex-boyfriend of Savvy's. He was certifiable to say the least! The suspense addition to the storyline played out well. The book was steady-paced and I didn't find any flaws in the author's storytelling. The only slight disappointment I experienced was that the majority of the book was in Savvy's POV. I wished there were an equal amount Zander's. That said, I'd like to add there were a lot of sexy times. Those intimate moments with Zander and Savvy were so sexy and erotic. This book had a great balance of emotions.

Savvy's best friend, Ashlyn, and Zander's brother, Josh are the next couple featured in the Bound By Cage series. I am really eager to read that one which is titled, Rampaged. I am happy to say that there are two more Cage brothers after that and I am looking forward to those as well.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are honest and unbiased.*

Savannah "Savvy" Jenks is the owner of a bar that is suffering do to renovations from next door.

Zander "The Hitman" Cage is a sinful MMA fighter who happen to be putting in a gym next to Savvy's bar.

The two share an instant connection that neither are willing to pass up.

When Savvy encounters Zander in person she thinks he is just another cocky celebrity but he is willing to prove her wrong.

Zander didn't think he would ever love anything or anyone more than his MMA career until he looks into Savvy's green eyes. then everything changes.

The two go through several ups and downs and only come out stronger.

This is a MUST read!! Loved Zander & Savvy and can't wait for more. So be sure to One-Click this book.

This book gets 4.5 stars! Oh I am loving the "Hitman" he's a gentleman and an incredible MMA fighter all in one delicious package. Savvy and Zander have this connection even before they officially meet face to face. We are given sexiness throughout this story and Zander's brothers are absolutely hilarious, Savvy's roommate and best friend Ashlyn is always by her girls side and I'm itching to know about her story. We're kept on our toes with events that take place and I love never knowing what's about to happen. This was a great read and I cannot wait to jump into Rampage next. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

I absolutely loved diving into a debut book by a new author. You never know what new treasures you will unearth and if you will discover a another author to add to your favorites. Brittany introduces herself to us with a story of a hotter than hell, dirty talking fighter and his sassy heroine that is his opponent both in the bed and in all matters of the heart. I absolutely adored every minute of Savvy and Zander's song and dance with one another.

Zander “The Hitman” Cage has been more than successful in the MMA world which has left him with enough money to fulfill his dream of running an MMA gym and plenty of groupies to pick from. But Zander was looking for more than a quick tumble after a winning a fight, he was looking for someone to be in his corner no matter what. Once Savannah comes crashing into his life, he knows immediately that she is the one and he will do whatever he can to fight for her. Who wouldn't love this knight all wrapped in sweaty muscles? He tugged on my heart strings one minute with his sweet words and had my libido in overdrive this next minute with his filthy mouth and sexy moves. Savvy didn't stand a chance against all that Cage charm! I can't wait to get up close and personal with his brothers in Brittany's future books.

Savannah Jenks is a headstrong female who is living life slinging drinks at a bar she owns with her best friend and enjoying every minute. That is until the cocky guy with the delicious muscles and an ego to match comes waltzing into her bar. She soon finds herself happier than she has ever been if only someone wasn't around to shatter it. Savvy is a tomboy after my own heart. I love a heroine with lots of sass and who is just as sexy in her boots, jeans, and jersey on game day as she is in high heels. I fell so hard for Savvy, her eccentric father and all of his quirky antics, not to mention her even mouthier best friend Ashlyn who drew me in with her vivacious personality. I can't wait for another dose of this hilarious trio that kept me in stitches the whole way through Savvy and Zander's story.

Brittany Crowley delivers a scorching debut that is sure to sear a reader's heart and imagination. I cannot wait to step back inside the cage in this fictional world and experience more of these laughter inducing, get down and dirty characters that I have grown to love in such a short amount of time. I highly recommend Caged for a sweaty, pulse pounding read that will have you dreaming long into the night about feisty bar owners and smokin' hot fighters.

First off, let me start by saying the ONLY reason I'm giving this book 4 instead of 5 stars was the writing. People use contraction when they talk. It's jarring and difficult to read when the author doesn't. "He will be there" vs "He'll be there" etc. Otherwise. I loved this story. Oh another thing that was a little weird was the switched in perspective and tense.

There's a little misunderstanding in the beginning and after that these two are head over heels. I love reading about a couple battle through the tough times together vs breaking up over ever single little thing until you want to throw your Kindle and can't possibly see why these idiots are even bothering. Not These two. They're adorable!

1.) Cheating? Nope!
2.) Cliffhanger? Not but the epilogue will make you one-click the the next one really effing fast.
3.) HEA (Happily Ever After)? Yep! Weeee!
4.) Violence? A little, the heroine has a scary ex and he gets his hands on her/it isn't pretty.
5.) Writing/Grammar? See above. Lack of contractions and weird switches in pov and tense.
6.) Sexual content? These two do not beat around the bush. If you don't like slow burns (I do!) then this is your book. They're off right from the start and they barely let up. It's ALLLLLLLMOST too much but not really.
7.) Would I recommend this book to my friends? Yep!

Caged is the debut novel by Brittany Crowley, and I freaking loved it. This book had it all. It was funny, sexy and characters that you couldn't help but fall in love with.

Savannah is the co-owner of a bar that is currently suffering due to the renovations going on next door. Zander 'The Hitman' Cage is the MMA fighter that is building a gym next door. And after receiving an email from her, he goes to talk to Savvy. They have instant chemistry and even though she thinks he is just another cocky celebrity, she gives him the chance to woo her and change her opinion of him. They start dating and everything is going great, well that is until a jealous ex shows up.

Can they work though all the ups and downs that get thrown their way?

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. It was seriously one of the best books I have read in a while, and I can't wait for the next Cage brother to get his HEA.

Caged is the debut novel by Brittany Crowley and I absolutely loved it. I was hooked from beginning to end.

You meet Savannah, or Savvy as her friends call her, who owns a bar with her best friend Ashlyn. One night they leave and she sees a stranger pull up and she is drawn to him like no other without even seeing his face. The next day you meet Zander as he's the owner of the business moving in next door. From there you can feel the attraction as it builds but will they get their HEA?

This book has it all with moments of humor and all out sexiness. There's a bit of a twist in their story giving you a ride that you don't want to end. The secondary characters are well written and you just want to know more about them. Definitely a MUST read and I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

This is Brittany's debut novel and what a wonderful job she had done!! Because I don't want to give away any spoilers I am going to keep this short and sweet. Zander and Savvy have chemistry that is off the chain and you will not be able to put this book down. There is drama, laughter, tears and some very sexy times ahead. So sit back with a cup of tea, some biscuits and enjoy!

This is the debut novel for author Brittany Crowley. Just out of the gate, she did a great job! Sports Romance fans will be thrilled with the detail to MMA that she gives. Romantic Comedy readers will also be laughing out loud with this one.

Savvy and Zander seem and unlikely pairing at first. She is a blue collar bar owner. He is a famous MMA fighter headed to the Championship fight. Money is not a problem for him. But Savvy doesn't know who he is from Adam and Zander finds that refreshing. The chemistry is off the charts and the two decide to give it a go.

The road to happiness is paved with trouble at times. There is a bit of tension and trust issues in the story. There is some suspense as well. The HUGE plus to this writer is the comedic timing she writes and the rich secondary characters throughout the story. Savvy's relationship with all of them leads to a well rounded character.

I did get an advanced copy and there were numerous editing issues. I am not one to get overly bent by that but they were frequent enough, it was worth a mention. Hopefully they have been corrected in the final edition. I also found some of the scenes were glossed over--more narrative in nature. My only though was whether they were really necessary as written. Could we have "seen" the action instead?

Great start. There is a sneak epilogue about Savvy's roommate Ash. I hope that means we see more of her in another book!

I super duper loved this book! It's funny, romantic, thrilling, riveting, and more. I liked that there's some suspense, mystery, and humor mixed in the romance of MMA fighter Zander and bar owner Savvy. These two were sexy and awesome together and their love story was certainly hot, eventful, memorable, and not for the faint of heart. I liked the supporting cast of Caged as well, most especially Savvy's BFF and business partner Ashlyn. But OMG, what an epilogue! It was simultaneously heartbreaking and promising. I can't wait to read more about the characters in this book! Terrific job by the author!
