FROM AN EXCITING VOICE IN THE ROMANCE GENRE A.M. GRIFFIN

Book one in the Dark Wolf Enterprises series

Kristof wants to avoid the human at all cost, but his wolf wants her as his own.

The big break Trudy Hollander’s small accounting firm needs has finally arrived, but unfortunately, it comes with murder, mayhem and Kristof Farkas, a man she just can’t seem to resist. Even worse, Kristof is the CFO of Dark Wolf Enterprises—and is the one person who can pull the plug on the job that will take her company to the next level.

Then there are the assassins who can jump from three stories up and still be able to run away…

Kristof has no intention of giving in to his inner wolf and claiming Trudy. She’s human. Too fragile to withstand being a shifter’s mate. But the need to protect her is stronger than his resolve, and his desire is more powerful yet. He’ll fight with everything he has to keep her safe, both from those who would hurt her and from himself.

Every wolf shifter tale I read, there are inner dialogues between the shifter and his wolf, some are intense conversations and some are constant nagging and clawing to get out. Kristof is the CFO at Dark Wolf Enterprises and someone is embezzling money in a very big way. He hires a human accountant and she nailed the problem, something his guys weren’t able to do, and this is where his wolf proves he knows more than Kristof...

Trudy ‘s new accounting firm is just barely scraping by. Her cash cow came from Dark Wolf Enterprises and she desperately needs this client. What she didn’t need was the chaos, murder and threats that came along with the big paycheck. She also didn’t need to be drawn like a bee to pollen when she finally meets Kristof. The problem might have been mixing business with pleasure, but as the trouble heats up, Trudy is about to discover why Kristof is in such fantastic shape.

Kristof’s inner wolf knows who Trudy is to Christof, but his human side is fighting with all he has. Being with him could be deadly for a human, but he is losing the battle with his wolf and his heart to this strong and feisty woman. How will she take his ability to go all ferocious and furry? If they do not survive, it may not matter…

A.M. Griffin always gives us feisty females and alpha males who fall at their feet. This time out is no different, but I do have to say I never thought being an accountant could be so deadly! Definitely a fabulous start to a new series where A.M. Griffin balances the tightrope of feeding us too much information and leaving us with too many questions! She creates high tension, high action and hot romance like the pro she is!

I received an ARC edition from A.M. Griffin in exchange for my honest review.

WOW what a gripping opener. I was drawn in and taken on a paranormal mystery with likable characters and an intriguing plot.

Shifter Claimed was an enjoyable debut into the Dark Wolf Enterprises series by A.M. Griffin.

Trudy, human hired to audit an account for the Dark Wolf Enterprises. I liked her. When things got scary she kept it together. She also took what Kristof was, well.

Kristof, wolf shifter and one who hired Trudy to look into their funds. I liked him. I didn’t fall in love with him like his brothers, but I did enjoy his character.

Kristof, imprinted the moment he meets Trudy face to face. I liked that it’s not called mating, but imprinting. The imprinting was a different perspective than what I typically read in shifter romances. It was a fascinate concept. Their romance was sweet and spicy.

The one thing I didn’t care for was Trudy forgiving Kristof to quickly. He broke her heart. It was a very emotional scene and it felt like more needed to be done; before they reconciled and she forgave him.

We are introduced to Kristof's brothers, they were appealing and fun. I can’t wait to read more about the bothers and find out what type of woman captures their hearts. The mystery is gripping. We do get some questions answered, but new questions arris. I’m curious to see how it all plays out.

Shifter Claimed had a lot to savor and enjoy. It’s an intriguing set up with a riveting mystery.

Rated: 3.5 Stars

Shifter Claimed is the first book in a new paranormal series by A.M Griffin. I had read the original story when this was first published, but this one has been expanded and I found just as much joy reading this copy. I also loved the mention of Zaid which connects to her other series: The Undercity Chronicles of Babylonia Jones, P.I. (Which I absolutely recommend you read, not because it is needed for this story, but because it is awesome!)

Trudy finds herself in trouble after gaining a new client where she does an audit, since money has been disappearing without a trace. However the closer she gets to figuring out who is embezzling money, the more danger she is in. Kristof hired Trudy and feels responsible for her safety when it becomes obvious she is in danger because of their missing money. But as soon as they meet in person, fireworks go off between them and Kristof realises that he has found his mate in Trudy, a human. While running for their lives they begin to fall for each other, but in the end Kristof needs to decide whether or not he's willing to take a risk on Trudy and open his heart to her.

Action packed, fun and thrilling, this story was fantastic and while it ends nicely for this couple, there is still enough questions left unanswered for the next book as well as I good glimpse at Meisha and Lajos. I definitely recommend to fans of paranormal romance.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted a copy of this book.

Trudy needed this job to get her accounting firm fully on the map. She did not need to have her office attacked, and the attackers flee out a third story window. And she certainly did not need her body's reaction when Kris, CFO of Dark Wolf Enterprises, turns up at her door. Kris never knew his wolf to be so active while still in human form, but the animal's reaction to just hearing Trudy on the phone was powerful. His kind could never have a human mate, could they??

CUTE!! But deadly. That was my thought upon finishing and I'm sticking to it!

Loved Trudy's reaction to Kris and vice versa. Loved that Kris' wolf is front and centre for much of their time together. Loved Trudy's reaction to Kris' secret.

Loved that while we got WHO was stealing from Kris and his company, we did not get the why. And loved that we are, in this point, at least, left hanging. Means I really REALLY need to read the next book. Because not only did Trudy find her mate here, her best friend meets with another Farkas brother, and I NEED to know what happens to them! And those little history bits?? About the three Scottish brothers centuries ago, and the parallels to the Farkas brothers?? Kinda cute!

Great writing, never gonna win any literary prizes, but who cares! Its a great read, and I read it in one sitting, didn't seem like the 182 pages billed on Goodreads.

You know what?? I tagged this originally as 4 stars. I'm upgrading it, because, honestly?? I can't fault it!! Why I put 4, I don't know, I usually run with my first thought and that was it but now I'm actually typing it up??

Ah stuff it...

5 full stars!

The story was good but it wasn't a complete standalone. I guess each book is about different couple but the main mystery wasn't solved and it carries on in the next book. I wasn't planning to read any other books in the series, hence just 2 stars.

“Dark Wolf Enterprises” by A.M. Griffin introduces accountant Trudy Hollander to an entirely different world when what she thinks is her big break embroils her in an embezzling issue that involves one of three brothers who run a very successful family-owned company. Kristof Farkas is impressed by the woman who is savvy enough to ferret out the discrepancies in his company’s books but he refuses to listen to his wolf who is determined to keep the feisty female in their life. They have to stay alive long enough to work out their relationship and find the culprit.

This is a great introduction to a shifter family that is coexisting successfully with humans and I always enjoy stories that explore the challenge of introducing a human to the shifter world. The ending is a little abrupt and leaves room for a continued exploration of the mystery that brings the main characters together but there is a nice introduction to the various members of the Farkas family and hopefully each of the siblings will get his or her time in the spotlight. A nice beginning to the series.

I had the pleasure of reading this novella as part of the "Brought to His Knees Anthology

Great Mystery with Action and Romance

Trudy is the head of her own accounting firm. After taking on a new client, her largest to date, trouble starts to befall her firm and employees. Big trouble, as in dying trouble, murder with a side of torture trouble. Her new client, Dark Wolf Enterprises, thinks Trudy's problems may stem from contract they gave Trudy to audit Dark Wolf Enterprise's books. Thus begins the mystery of what is wrong with the books, who is trying to kill Trudy, and why is her life in jeopardy. Throw in a hot shifter executive of the company, and we get a fast paced book I could not put down.

Trudy Hollander has a small accountancy firm and she has been given the job of finding out who is embezzling from a big firm. This job could be big. She doesn't expect it to be murder.
Kristof Farkas has hired a human firm to check into Dark Wolf Enterprises' books. He knows someone is stealing but can't believe one of his pack could do it.
When someone is murdered and the killers jump out of a third floor window, it's obvious there is more trouble to come.
The opening scene is enough to get you hooked. Then the book is impossible to put down. Add in a very sexy wolf shifter and a mystery to solve and you will not leave the house until the book is finished. The characters are strong and very interesting. We lose track of two of them, so I assume thiers is the next book. I hope so, because I want to read it.
I loved every page.

It was ok-ish. It was instalove which I like in shifter novels BUT I did not like Kristoff’s brush off. It def had a lot of drama but idk the plot had a lot of elements going on that made the book seem jumbled or something. Still not bad and the one steamy scene was pretty good.

I was provided with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The story takes us through the lives of Trudy, a mentally formidable but physically fragile human being, and Kristoff, a shifter, who needs to keep his constantly gnarling inner wolf at bay. Life forces their career paths to cross. While Trudy thinks of this opportunity as a great break for her career, little does she know the price she needs to pay to keep her sanity and safety in place, if she needs to continue on her assignment. Kristoff, although logically reasoning that he can't get attracted to Trudy, as he knows she wouldn't be able to cope up with the life of being a shifter's partner, cannot help falling for her innocence and vulnerability. Will the protective and fierce Kristoff and the unsuspecting Trudy manage to overcome all obstacles to find solace in each other, is what the book takes us through.

This novella was a smooth casual read - it had adventure, elements of thrill, sparks of romance, all embedded in a pacy plot. I would have loved to see more about the inner emotional conflicts within the minds of Trudy and Kristoff, which would help the reader connect more to them, than just on the page.

I recommend this to lovers of fast-paced multi-genre books.

My rating for this book: 3 stars

"3.5 out of 5 stars. Landing her newest account is all that matters to Gertrude (Trudy/Tru) right now. Yet, when her world gets turned upside down because of the information she learns Trudy will find out what it really means to be a part of something great, if only she can be accepted for who she happens to be.

This intense novella keeps you on your toes as you follow Trudy and Kristof’s growing relationship through an extreme bout of “getting to know one-another.” I liked Trudy’s character."

Started off ok, but both the hero and the heroine had a few too stupid to live moments. It just got really annoying. By the time they ended up together, I didn’t really believe it or care.

A good story, but nothing new or exciting for the genre. Typical worldbuilding, but Kristof and Trudy are really good characters. The story has a fast pace, with only a few inconsistencies that didn't take away from the story. A good read, especially for the price.

This is the first book of the dark enterprise series. in this one Kristof has sent off their books to be audited by someone who has nothing to do with their company. someone is stealing from them and they have to find out who and how. Trudy is the one that gets the books and so much more than she ever thought she would get doing accounting. first someone kills someone in her office while she is there hiding then someone breaks into her house and she is running to a neighbor. all while Kristof has come to see her and not knowing what is going on. when they do meet he is shocked and imprints on her as his mate.. a human.. nope.. great books i think read them all so far.

This is my review and how I see it. In Shifter Claimed the first book in A.M. Griffin's Dark Wolf Enterprises series, Kristof Farkas hired Trudy Hollander's accounting firm to find out who was embezzling fund from Dark Wolf Enterprises. Upon learning about the incident at Trudy's place of business, Kristof decided to pay her a visit and terminate their contract.

As Kristof and his brother Lajos get to Trudy's house they notice that her window is broken and they step in to save her. Trudy and Kristof's first face to face meeting does not go smoothly as Trudy running from the men who broken into her runs into Kristof and knees him. Once all of the chaos at Trudy's house is over, Kristof imprints on her and he doesn't like it one bit...because she is human.

Will Kristof continue to deny his life-mate Trudy? Who is Alexander and why is he behind the money being stolen from Dark Wolf Enterprises? Who is Alexander's inside contact? Find out all this and more as the Dark Wolf Enterprises series continues?

This book is for anyone who likes paranormal wereshifter stories.
