Patrick Hurst is an ordinary man, with an ordinary life, until a visit from the police changes his life forever. His estranged father has been found dead, the victim of a bizarre accident. Patrick inherits his fortune an his house in the remote location of Layton Valley. Patrick begins to enjoy his life as a millionaire, but when he finally visits the house, he discovers his fathers' diary. Somewhere in the house is the room where he died and a machine that claims to be able to heal the sick by extracting defective DNA. The diary contains a long hidden secret and details of a horrendous side effect that the machine possesses. Patrick learns of the mysterious and psychotic Pylon Man who is hunting him down. He needs the machine and Patrick for his redemption. Patrick vows to learn the secret of his fathers' death and to unmask the Pylon Man. All he has to do is wait. Evil is coming home...

About the author

Brian O'Gorman was born in Ormskirk, Lancashire in 1974. He published his first novel Pharmacon in 2014 after years of writing unpublished short stories. He normally writes in the horror genre but has turned his hand to children's books and contemporary fiction. He is most famously known for his novel Dawn of the Spiders which has entertained and appalled readers all across the globe.

The storyline is very good and the book has a few twists I didn’t see coming myself as I was reading it. Of course there’s a lot of gruesome deaths in the book as while.
