When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or spending too watching TV shows. As an introvert, home is her safe harbor. Yet, she’s known for leaving the house from time to time and having her family throw a party because they haven’t seen her for days. Then they ask her how many books she wrote while gone, assuming that writing must be super easy.

Anna guarantees that it’s not, but she never wanted to be anything else. Unless there’s a possibility of being a powerful supernatural being in an awesome world where unicorns and fairies are real. Then, she would probably go there and never come back.

I really enjoyed this story! It's written well and it picks up right where Captive left off. This one was interesting for me as we really get to see a different side to Phillipe and Cedric. I was torn because of what we've seen from them previously and what we see now. I was rooting for the one I wasn't expecting to be. This is the second book in the series but I do recommend reading the previous book before reading this one. As this book picks up right where the other one left off, you will feel like you don't have all the details for what's going on. There are a lot of issues for Aria to deal with in this one. Aria is dealing with a lot and trying to adjust while having more thrown at her. There are a lot of twists and turns in this one. I wasn't the biggest fan in the beginning to middle of this book (probably because I was irritated with both men, but then one stepped up and started growing on me) but by the end of it, I didn't want to stop reading it and immediately picked up the next book in the series. The book flows well. There's sexual chemistry and heat between the characters but really no sex in this book. I enjoyed the story and it is an intricate one. I thought that it was really well done because of that. I am really excited to see where this story is going to go in the next book. This book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, nothing too major but everything is not resolved in this book. I was hooked by the end and I've already started the next book as I had to know what was going to happen.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. It was an emotional journey where you get to know Aria, Cedric, and Philippe a bit better and the way they think as there are three POVs. The story also portrays how doubting one another in a relationship can ruin it over time, that loss of a loved one can stay with you forever, and other truly deep subjects. Red Angel was a pleasure to read and makes a great addition to the paranormal romance genre.

Though, I'm still #TeamPhilippe.

Aria was still tired as her new mate Cedric, an angel Prince, tried to wake her up. He told her she needed to practice flying now that her wings had come in – but she was afraid of heights! It was a matter of trusting both her own angel and him; she could do this, he assured her! She was concerned, though, that she was nothing like her angel who was impatient and believed that it was okay to kill, and it was okay to be an arrogant angel with a god complex.

Philippe’s Master, Josephine, came to talk to him about his gloomy demeanor since Aria left. He tried to blame it on other issues he was dealing with, such as the drug Clarity, business, competition, evil gargoyle scientists and such. But Josephine knew he loved Aria and she may have even been happier with Philippe than with Cedric. But she told him he had found someone who woke him up to life and made his heart feel – but he can’t have her and he needs to go do something useful and stop moping around! Jo suggested he ask Aria if she was now happy and, if so, move on. She didn’t see how life with an angel would be the “normal” life Philippe was trying to give her by staying away.

As inevitable tensions rise between the vampires and angels, it looks as if Philippe and Cedric need to work together to stop the distribution of the dangerous drug, Clarity. Can they put aside their antagonism for the good of the populace being affected? And is there any hope that Aria may reconsider her choice of mate?

This was an excellent piece of the overall story. The banter between Philippe and his maker, Jo, about his sulking was both full of love and hilariously funny! The author is wonderful with bringing her characters to life (no pun intended) and making them so real to the reader. The emotions are all out there, touching the reader and reminding us of the feelings the characters are experiencing. Very powerful stuff! I definitely recommend this series!

Philippe has really grown since book one ended with the necromancer telling him how to break the bond. Jo and her drive to rescue Oliver is getting quite intriguing and I rather like her soft spoken but iron will and the lack of letting either guy get away with anything. I'm glad she and Camille finally forced Cedric to tell Aria everything.

Sadly he doesn't listen until after she's been kidnapped. So after their argument (which I was so glad she stood up to him) he's off sulking.

Philippe wants to redeem himself for her but is understandably angry the necromancer had anything to do with kidnapping her. He's torn between claiming her and trying to repair her bond with Cedric to save her soul.

Between the draw to Philippe, the fight with Cedric, having seizures that almost killed her and all the trauma of being kidnapped, taunted, and then to have an evil gargoyle attempt to steal her angelic essence; Aria is so confused and upset.

There's a mysterious chemistry starting to form between the soon to die vampire and the prince of angels that I'm wondering if it will explode in book three. Things are coming to a head....Hopefully we'll also learn the identity of the woman gargoyle that had her abducted. I have an uneasy feeling it will be Cedric's vanished baby sister.

Book two was much better than book one and I'm hopeful for book three and Camille's story.

This is book two in the Cursed Angels series.
This one is full of twists and turns and definitely takes you on a roller coaster ride in the love department.
Well written plot and story line that still has not answered our questions yet.
I love how well the characters have been written and the changes that are happening with them.
Looking forward to reading the next one!

This is a hard one to review. I'm glad I waited until I read the third book before I reviewed this one. (To find out why, see my review for #3.) Cedric's character takes a really dark turn here. While reading it, I was getting fairly angry at Aria. The things that she put up with from Cedric were classic abuse. Not just verbal, but emotional and threat of physical. He also removed her support base when he sent her parents back to the states. I was so thrilled that she left him. I worry when we present this type of male in a YA adult novel and show the girlfriend putting up with his abuse and making excuses for it. My concern is that young women will think this behavior is normal for a relationship when it is not normal or healthy. Yes, I know this is paranormal romance, not the real world. But kids are impressionable. So why the 4 stars if I was so upset by it? Obviously Ms. Santos wrote Cedric's outrageous behavior to make the reader distance themselves from the idea of him being Aria's perfect mate. She succeeded in spades.

Fantastic Story!
Book 2 of Archangel’s Fire of the “The Cursed Angel Series” was much better than Book 1 “Archangel’s Kiss”. The storyline drama between the main characters, Cedric, Aria, and Phillip continue. The supporting character's storyline is increased in this book and you find out more about them. Jo and her drive to rescue Oliver are getting quite intriguing, as well as she and Camille finally force Cedric to tell Area everything he’s been holding back. Archangel’s Fire has action, suspense a twist you won’t see coming, romance and love. The ending is frustrating but interesting and funny. This is a wonderful addition to the “Cursed Angel” series and I can’t wait for book 3. This is definitely a must-read if you love paranormal tales, angels and vampires!

Archangel’s Fire by Anna Santos is the second book in The Cursed Angel Series. In this book, a young woman named Aria has become involved with an Angel Prince named Cedric. Cedric wants her to choose him as her mate and accept her angelic side and become the angelic queen to his king. But there is a problem, Aria has a previous mate named Phillippe who is the vampire king who is still in love with her but pushed her away because he wants what’s best for her. I loved reading this book because it is a compelling romance involving one young woman and two very different men who both want her to pick each of them as her mate. I was enthralled with the plot and the way the characters were written. I think that anyone who enjoys any type of paranormal romance will love this book as much as I do. Archangel’s Fire is a compelling tale of two men who are fighting over a woman’s love.

Second book of 4 in a series. Aria must now learn how to use the wings she’s been given. Cedric continues to try to teach Aria what she needs to know as an angel..especially since she is a rare Red Angel. War looms yet it doesn’t feel right.

The characters learn more about themselves and create a richer tapestry for both the characters as well as for the reader. It does bog down in places, but it picks back up rather quickly. I was constantly being pulled to keep turning the page and see what happens next.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Let me start with the positive, at least there a book 3, Philippe was so much sweeter in this one, i really hope he gets a happily ever after.

Cedric however in this book really got on my nerves with how he acted towards Philippe and Aria, yes Aria has her share of issues to deal with and at times i really felt bad for Cedric but he also acted like a real ass.

Seriously who is the gargoyle wanting to hurt Aria and why cant Aria accept her angel and kick some ass already.

Dark forces use the pretense of jealous love to further their own ends, and to bring things to the brink of war.

Aria loves both Cedric and Philippe, and has been rejected by each of them in different ways. Working together and being supportive of Aria might help to keep her from falling victim to depression and those who would turn her power to truly dark ends.

The battle rages on, fueled by hurts and failure to communicate.

A rollercoaster of emotions!

Get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions! This second installment of the "Cursed Angels" series will have you laughing, crying, feeling frustrated at how headstrong the main characters are. The book continues Aria's story from "Archangel's Kiss" and her struggles at mastering her powers as well as her romantic life. Drama, suspense, action, a love triangle, this book has it all. I'm definitely going to read the next book to see what happens!

Here we follow not-exactly-literal love triangle that is a fate of Aria, Cedric, and Philippe.
I really enjoyed the story that consisted of more emotions than Captive and it was great seeing and being inside of the head of each character and see them changing their thinking or attitude.
In their world nothing is easy, but what will happen when someone threatens Aria? Cedric and Philippe need to cooperate in order to defend her - will they manage?
I need Archangel's Awakening!

Book 2 fulfills it's promise of creating an unforgettable saga. The question of who Aria will choose remains a question till the end of the book and I don't think we will know what she finally chooses till end of book 3.

The end of book 2 points to something major happening in book 3 which will rock all their worlds apart.

Emotional Ride

I have to admit this story had me all over the spectrum of emotions. Even had me put down the book for a bit because of the emotional drain. But soon I was back in the story. I have cried, laughed, growled in anger, and smiled feeling good when a lot of love was shown. All in all a fantastic story and I all ready have the next book in the series.

This book did a fantastic job of picking up where book 1 left off. The character development continues to be amazing in this book as well. Compelling!

As I continued in the saga of these compelling characters, I hated to come to the end of book #2. I always wonder at the writers ability to create great characters and plausible stories. It's fascinating!! Great books!
