Growing up in Robin Wood projects in Nashville, Shi and Bri had it hard like most of the chicks did, and just like those other chicks, Shi and Bri thought the fast life was the answer. That was until they’d been burned and realized they were being used. Once Shi and Bri were faced with their eviction and had no one to depend on but themselves to correct their mistakes, they quickly decided that the fast life wasn’t for them.
After making a pact to focus on building their careers and futures, Shi, who was studying to be an accountant and Bri, who was an inspiring model both, swore off the nightlife and men as well. That was until Bri was on an audition and Shi was killing time at a cafe while she waited for Bri. In walked Razando and his boy Emerald. They were known kings in the streets of Nashville, but after the loss of Razz’s uncle a few years back and the most recent death of their friend. Razz and Em were setting up shop to fall back out the game.
From their first encounter, Shi and Razz as well as Bri and Em were in love. Once Shi and Bri felt it was safe to open up to love again, they were both unexpectedly thrown back into the life they worked so hard to stand clear of. Before Shi and Bri knew it, they were in the middle of a street war. However, once Shi and Bri were thrown back in the life, it was no longer about them it was about the men in their lives that changed it for the better. Now they were teaming up to hold down their kings’ thrones, since Razz and Em’s own boy was trying to take it. As most men do, they underestimated what Shi and Bri were capable of when they fell back into their old ways. Don’t sleep on a queen when she’s keeping her king’s throne…
This author has a bunch of stories that you want to follow along with but not even half way through they start to get dumb and not make sense. The flow of this one is okay for a couple chapters but then it picks up and everything that’s going on lacks common sense. In two months with all the “evidence” Razz had, not to mention he’s running his empire that was passed down to him, has all these connections and money but still only two months and he was out for the count?
Em is hiding like a fugitive but you want me to believe what? I’m not even going to get on Bri and Shi because you don’t even get to know them (or the guys) enough to make a connection. I was really done with the foolishness of Bri going to that shoot and the guys talking all that crap. Again, the author’s not a very good story teller when it comes to getting these to make sense. You would think this many stories in the author would have a professional take a look, or random people review these before putting this nonsense out.
When i say that this shit had my soul on high it really did and i really did enjoy this book like wtf is going on in here type of excitement thank you boo
Buck was all the way wrong. The mess he had happened to Shi and Bri was crazy. I hope Shi still go sees her cousins. Raz should of asked what happened first. I bet Kendra going to say she's pregnant. Bri and Em finally on the same page.

I like the characters Shi and Bri. They had a good head on their shoulders and they were go getters. They never let their circumstances dictate their future.
Once they met Razz and Em their lives took some unexpected turn of events.
