Hole Punched

By day, I manage The Hole Punch, and it isn't as sexy as it sounds. It's an office supply store--not an establishment for vibrators and butt plugs. By nighttime though, that's when I unleash an exciting passion of mine--one that I'm not prepared to share just yet.

I don't have the time or the energy for a relationship right now. Besides, sex with colleagues is always a bad idea. Now, sex with customers? That's something I can get on board with, especially since Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome keeps showing up and setting my insides on fire. Although I don't know his name or what he does, I can only imagine what he needs with piles of paper, pens, post-its, and highlighters.

Maybe one day, if I'm lucky, I can manage his hole-punch.

“You’re a taint-shaver? How have I never known?” Jacoby chokes on the water he just sipped from the bottle in his hand. “Wait, what? Are we really talking about KitKat’s taint?”

Susan is a new author to me and I really enjoyed reading this amazing fast-paced story.

5 "I believe in fairy tales" Stars

Sometimes I want to punch myself in the face for not reading an author sooner. This is one of those times. I hear Susan Renee does amazing things with angst, but I got to experience her humor first and for that I am thankful. I also think it’ll prepare me for the tears I am bound to shed when I dive into Seven.
"I believe in the power of a kiss."

Anyway, here we meet Jenna. She works at the Hole Punch with her bestie, Linda. Hottie customer, Jacoby is the candy of Jenna’s eye and she really wants a piece. But how does one make that happen? She’s the employee, he’s the customer. Is there a good way to approach this man?
He’s hot in that I’m-not-sure-if-he’s-a-good-guy-or-a-bad-boy-but-either-way-is-okay kind of way.
Turns out, there is! Yay! Susan gives this couple an excellent opportunity to make the sex happen. Or at least a date. Or whatever. Anyway, it’s pure comedic gold and I couldn’t get enough.
“...not that smelling like mocha is a bad thing…” He trails off for a moment and I catch him ogling my wet chest. “Come to think of it, neither is looking at a girl in a wet t-shirt, but, you know.” He shrugs. “I wouldn’t want all your customers staring at you all day.”
“Oh? And why not? Because my chest is for your viewing pleasure only?”
“That’s not what I meant, although if you’re offering your chest up to my eyes only I would probably be a fool not to take advantage at least once,”
he responds.

A hot, passionate hook-up is just what these two need, right? But what do you do when you feel that deep connection you know you’ve been missing? Can you continue with the hook-up or do you have to dive head first into a relationship? Is there middle ground?
"Stay with me tonight."

But what happens when this little hook-up turns serious? What happens when you begin sharing your dirty little secrets with the other person? Can you count on them to keep those secrets? Are you risking too much?
"I just want you. Here. With me."

These two have their own baggage, but they are set on their path to overcome that baggage. At the very least, they are set on seeing each other and that takes more trust than either have given anyone in a very long time.
"Don't look back, Jenna. You're not going that way."

First I'm going to say that I love unique covers and this has to be one of the most unique I've seen. It makes you wonder what your going to get your self into when reading.

Jenna had the best case of word vomit ever! She wasn't our typical heroine and that's what I loved about her. She had a normal job and amazing aspirations and followed her own path to get there. She had her own set of issues, but I was so proud of how she dealt with them.

Jacoby has a dimple! For some reason I love dimples! That's besides the point. I was so smitten with him! He was the total package and so much more! I don't want to spoil but I love him and everything he stands for!

I really enjoyed the secondary characters. Yes some are crazy, but they bring an element to the story that wouldn't be there if they weren't the way they are. Linda needs her own book, like ASAP!!! I think she and jack would be perfect!!!!!

This is one of those story's that will have you laughing super hard. Right from the start your thrown for a laughing fit, my kids looked at me like I was crazy, but come on! A wiffy sitck! (Lol). It just keeps getting better and better as you keep reading. This book was also HOT! The heat rolling off of this couple was enough to start a fire!

Nothing I say will ever do this book justice. There is one part in this story that makes you really open your eyes and wonder, wonder about why we read romance and how the authors take what we say to heart. It's a fun read, but the meaning behind some scenes, they will stick with you long after you read. Totally a 5 star read full of off the wall humor and a love story that leaves you warm and smiling. #2OCCJD

Have you ever worked in retail?
If you have you know the struggle is real.

Getting to know these characters was so fun, I loved every one of them!
There are people in our lives that we never know we make an impact on with a simple smile and kindness, that is captured in this book more than once, and it was a breath of fresh air even after a re~read.

This is a story that I didn't come across often while reading and I really enjoyed learning their secrets. I was sad, scared at times, hopeful, and excited to see where what direction they would choose.

Susan did a knock out job with this one, she knows how to make things interesting, to say the least.

If you need a fun loving, laugh out loud, "who would do that?" kind of book then this one is IT! I couldn't imagine people doing some of the things that happen in this store, yikes...bless you all, lol.

It will make me think of her often as I am browsing the office supply store or driving past the local mechanics. This book was so much fun. Way to go Susan, you nailed this one! ;)

Hole Punched is a very cute and fun book. I wasn't sure what to expect since Susan Renee is a new-to-me author, but I really enjoyed it. Jacoby is kind and so considerate, a total sweetheart. He treated Jenna like she was the most important thing in his world, it was all kinds of swoony. Jenna is a crackpot- I couldn't believe some of the situations she found herself in. But she also has a real vulnerability to her that Ms. Renee balanced very well with her quirkiness. She's a very relatable character.
I liked that both Jenna and Jacoby had their "secret" lives, but were open and willing to share them with each other.
If you're in the mood for a light-hearted, funny and sweet, and a little bit sexy, read Hole Punched might just be what you're looking for.

Sorry, i just didn't like it. The autocorrect text messages were funny the first time, then it happened too often in one sitting. I didn't like that the author thought she was keeping a secret with what the main character was doing with her lingerie, but it was obvious what she was doing. Why not just say it before she reveals it to the main guy? And why the main girl freaks out the way she did when he found out? That's just crazy. Yes, she's damaged, but that's just going overboard in my opinion.

HOLE PUNCHED by Susan Renee

It’s hard to write reviews, especially ones that you want people to read and love so that it’ll will make them read about, I guess that’s like blurb to a book, In this case I didn’t even read the blurb to this story I just seen the cover and I knew I just had to have it.

I love covers, some of my favourite covers are the different ones, and this straight up gets two thumbs up for the cover, it has to be the best cover I have giggled about in ages, and to have cat peens on the cover makes it even better, I mean come on! Peens, cat peens… I just had to have it.
I started this book, and legit couldn’t put it down till I finished, I didn’t care what I was doing but knew it was to finish this book, that had me in smiles and giggles from the first paragraph.
Hole Punched, is that book you are looking for that is light on the drama and angst, hilarious rom/com with a good amount of sexy time, if you are wanting all that plus the can’t catch your breath laughing and the funniest words that just make you snort laugh… THIS IS FOR YOU!

“She’s like a walking Las Vegas Strip.”

I can’t even, with the amount of laughing I did reading about Jenna, Jacoby and her best friend Linda, and her sister!

Jenna is the manager at an office store, and Jacoby is the sexy customer that has been lingering around for a whiles now, these two are beautiful together. Jacoby is hiding a secret and Jenna is scared to take a chance together they have a fantastic story. A real funny one, filled with snot laughter and a smile that’ll be plastered to your face.

“You’re a taint- shaver? ....”

I loved everything about this book, great characters. The story was written fantastically that the humour was not forced it was legit funny. I loved that It was told by both of the main characters, I am really hoping there will be another story about Linda and Jack, who is Jacoby best friend!

The smexy time… OH Em G… HOT! There were perfect amounts of sweet and hot, *fans one’s self* thinking back to the scene on top of her car!

He’s hot in that I’m-not-sure-if-he’s-a-good-guy-or-a-bad-boy-but-either-way-is-okay kind of way.

Susan has written rom/com that makes you want more, when I got to the end I knew I wanted more.

“Come to think of it, neither is looking at a girl in a wet t-shirt, but, you know.” He shrugs. “I wouldn’t want all your customers staring at you all day.”
“Oh? And why not? Because my chest is for your viewing pleasure only?”
“That’s not what I meant, although if you’re offering your chest up to my eyes only I would probably be a fool not to take advantage at least once,” he responds.

You all need this book; it is one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. Susan’s characters pull you into their world, their world of funny situations, perfect blend of romance and comedy with no angst, no drama it is literally the best type of book to buckle up and go for a fantastic ride. Like I said you will laugh until you have leaky eyes!

Hole Punched by Susan Renee a punchy five-star read. This is the first book by this author I have read, it’s so funny I couldn’t help but laugh out loud so many times through the book, it tells the story of Jenna Zimmerman and Jacoby Ashton Malloy a man who leads a secret double life, he’s tall, dark, handsome, comes with his own grade-A hole punch and has a strange addiction to Highlighter pens. I mean if he didn’t have the strange addiction why would he find himself in an office supply shop at least twice a week? or could it possibly have something to do with the manager of said office supply shop Jenna?
By day Jenna is the manager of the hole punch and she is a good manager, she is kind to her customers, helpful and calm. Jenna even manages to keep her cool when she has to deal with crazy customer who is convinced that the government are putting viruses on his computer, and anti-virus soft wear is just their way of spying in him closer, it’s definitely the government and not all the porn he’s downloading. The thing is Jenna also has a secret life. At night, her passion comes alive, and with the help of her sister she is keeping that dream alive, she has a rule against sleeping with people she works with, but customers are fair gain, and there is one hole punch she is interested in.
But with them both leading double lives and having secrets causes so many problems, especially as Jenna has word vomit, and blurts out the most random information at random and funny times. Will they get their happy ever after? Or will the secrets and double lives be too much for this couple to bare, or will the smell of highlighters cause them both to see past the lies?

This was a fun, lighter read. I really liked Jacoby in this. He was different from the more common alpha male (which is usually my preference). Jacoby was strong, sexy, smart, and very gentle hearted. I liked him. Jenna, was dramatic, prone to freakouts and yelling, and for me, she seemed to dramatize her issues. I didn't understand the way she thought very well. There's a saying "making mountains out of molehills", and that fit Jenna in this story for me. Her best friend Linda and that freaking shark box cracked me up though. Not a bad idea either. It was cute story overall.

What a great story! I was sucked in right at the beginning and couldn't put it down. Jenna was hilarious through the entire book. I loved their first meeting and when they ran into each other in the coffee shop. This book was equal parts funny, sexy and cute.

Hole Punched is a wonderfully clever and hilariously funny romantic comedy/ contemporary romance by the very talented Susan Renee.
Jenna Zimmerman is the very capable, hardworking and adorably quirky manager of The Hole Punch- an office supplies store. She often laughs that the name of the store sounds more like a brothel or adult (sex) shop, than a place to purchase stationary. It isn’t the most prestigious job, but it pays the bills and allows Jenna to indulge her true passion at night-time. As she has had a bad experience in a past relationship, she has a firm rule of only indulging in one-night-stands- she fears commitment and avoids romantic relationships. But there is one regular customer who has Jenna seriously questioning her own rules. He is deliciously sexy, tall, dark and very handsome. He has her thinking about all the ways she wants him to use his hole punch.
Jacoby Malloy owns his own business, Jacked Up- a motor vehicle repair shop and indulges in his passion of restoring classic trucks; he has quite a collection of them. He is very intrigued by Jenna and often makes up a reason to visit the store where she works. He also has baggage from his past that makes him wary of being hurt. He thinks Jemma is beautiful, inside and out- and loves her kind and somewhat zany nature. But Jacob has concealed the fact that he is leading a double life- it’s all very secretive and would be considered shocking if it were to be revealed.
So with both of them having issues and holding onto secrets, do they really stand a chance of making anything out of their connection? What happens when everything comes to light, will it bring them together or drive them apart? Will they both find what they are looking for?
This book is seriously hilarious- the witty dialogue and funny banter had me laughing so much that I had tears rolling down my cheeks.
The characters are really marvellous and the author really did a fantastic job of developing each one. Jenna is adorable, but suffers from verbal diarrhoea, blurting out the most random details at somewhat inopportune times, with hilarious results. Jacoby was a surprise package, I really liked him; he was so kind, considerate, charming, funny and sexy- the more I found out about him the more I admired him. He is divine. Linda is Jenna’s straight-talking and ridiculously funny best friend and work colleague. She cracked me up so much. She has her own lingo, where she blends words together that end up being truly funny- I’d really love to give you a few examples here, but I really don’t want to spoil the effect that they have on the story.
The story is beautifully written- the plot is funny, so clever and refreshingly playful. There are quite a few twists that really made the story. The way the author used the ‘secrets’ and how they are eventually revealed is really quite genius on her part. It adds an extra interest to the whole plot. I am so happy to have discovered this book; it really is such a fun read.
It has a great pace and is told from a duel P.O.V.
So if you like a witty story that is completely captivating and a quirky Heroine that marches to the beat of her own drum and a sexy, mysterious leading man who knows how to please a woman in more ways than one- then this really is the book for you!

Thank you Susan Renee!

A perfect light rom-com to warm your heart!

I knew this was gonna be a fun book when Jenna's best friend calls her "Jizzy"! And ti make her even more human, the amount if word vomit that comes out of her mouth causes many laughs through rhe whole book!
Jenna works as a manager at The Hole Punch, an office supply store. (Insert sexual inuendo here, because it happens all throughout the book!)
Then theres Jacoby, a man that Jenna has had her eye on, who comes in to biy enough paper, highlighters and pens to stock a college. When there's an incident with an iced mocha, Jacoby gives Jenna the shirt off his back. But when she finds herself broke down on the side of the road, Jacoby comes to the rescue; giving her more than just a ride in his tow truck!
Insecurities that Jenna has has her running time and again, only to have Jacoby refusing to give up on her and them!
And a secret that Jacoby has kept hidden from many people, he begins to feel the need to tell her. She convinces him ro embrace himself and all he is, even spilling the beans to his father the governor!
It was a beautiful story of love and all it entails; the good the bad and the ugly.
Also, who knew porn caused THAT many viruses?!

Similar to a slowly deflating balloon. A great start with attraction, humour and more humour with a hot sex scene. (Humour and sex at the same time, can be rather hard to balance). I returned to the beginning of the story just to make sure my flailing interest hadn't confused my recall. For some strange reason, the author's further writing only gave a start and end to sex with the in-between missing. I liked the hero but the heroine's back story was 'yeah, so move on', nothing too traumatic. Not sure why I continued reading but my wandering thoughts had me breaking often to google searching random topics. At chapter 20 DNF.

Cheers

This was a fun book. There were some touching moments, steamy moments, and frustrating moments. All this moments came together to make a good AND even at times funny romance story. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

My ONLY complaint was just a few minor grammar/editing things, but they didn’t completely detract from the story. It is worth a read.

Hole Punched is a standalone romantic comedy about a girl who is the manager of an office supply store called The Hole Punch. The girl's name is Jenna, and she has dreams of being a lingerie designer, possibly designing and owning her own brand some day, but right now designs and makes lingerie with the help of her sister, Beth. Jenna and Beth lost their mother recently from cancer, and their father hasn't been a part of their lives in quite some time. When their mom was diagnosed with cancer, Jenna dropped out of college after just two years, so that she could take care of her mom.
One day Jenna meets a customer named Jacoby, who she notices is quite handsome, but rough around the edges. Jacoby comes to The Hole Punch a couple of times a week to purchase paper, printer ink cartridges, and highlighters. On this particular day, Jacoby is standing behind an older woman who has come to The Hole Punch looking for a “wiffy stick”, or Wifi adapter, and Jacoby starts quietly laughing when his eyes meet Jenna's eyes for a moment. They have never been introduced, and when Jenna's best friend, Linda, who also works at The Hole Punch, starts to tease Jenna through her earpiece, saying, “He's good eye candy don't ya think?”, Jenna then answers, “I don't need candy!”. Jacoby only hears Jenna's end of the conversation with Linda, and he says, “Hello girl named Jenna who doesn't need candy.” “It's a pleasure to meet you!” This is the beginning of a flirtation, and Jenna and Jacoby's relationship since they keep running into each other, and are also very attracted to one another.
Jacoby appears to be a very sexy, nice guy who owns a garage called, Jacked Up, but what no one knows except for his brother, sister, best friend, and agent, is that he is also a very successful romance novelist. Jacoby's father is the governor, and has always thought of Jacoby as the “black sheep” of the family, since Jacoby didn't follow in his footsteps and become a lawyer/politician, like his brother and sister did. Jacoby doesn't like to ever be around his father since his father will start an argument about Jacoby's career choice, which Governor Malloy has no idea includes a successful career as an author. Jacoby really doesn't like to be around his family, except for his mother.
I really enjoyed this book by Susan Renee. She has a great comedic writing style, but she also makes the story sexy and romantic. Her characters definitely drew me in. Jenna is fun, but vomits words when she gets stressed. She has dreams and hopes, but she's been hurt in the past, which we can all relate to. Jacoby seems like the perfect guy. He's handsome, hot, kind, and compassionate. He doesn't give up on Jenna. I don't want to give the ending away, but I hope that Susan Renee makes a sequel to this book with two of the characters from this book. I would really enjoy it.

An outrageously funny and romantic love story!
Hole Punched is such a great title for this book! I feel like I personally connected with this story so much as someone who has worked in retail before. Especially since I have had family that have worked in office store retail. The main gal is the funny, smart, and eager Jenna Zimmerman. She a current manager by day for The Hole Punch, and office supply store, that does in fact sell hole punches! “Excuse me do you work here?” “No I just wear this fugly shirt with a nametag for the h*** of it. “She is also a lingerie designer for small local markets with her sister in her spare time. It’s her goal to someday be a successful designer and own her own store with her own designs for real women that make them feel good about themselves. “I do wish I was special to someone but I have to admit, I am a bit of a weirdo. I regularly vomit all the words. I work at a retail store called The Hole Punch, which I know sounds like an awful lot like some sort of brothel, and speaking of brothels, I design unusually artistic lingerie in my spare time.” The main guy character is a dashing, mysterious, and sweet Jacoby Ashton Malloy. His father is the governor of their state and he is the black sheep of the family because instead of choosing political law for his profession he works with his passions, cars and well you will find you when you read! (No spoilers sorry not sorry!) He owns a shop nearby The Hole Punch called Jacked Up. After several months of semi stalking Jenna and purchasing more office supplies than he will ever use, fate winds them up in each other’s direct paths. One thing leads to another and this is the story of how they, despite the dark pasts and evil people that have injured their persona’s prior to meeting, find a way to be there for each other. “Shhh. Jenna, listen to me… I like you ok? I really like you. I think I’ve made that pretty clear- at least- I hope I have. You’re not like… any girl I’ve ever been with, but something about you has me wanting more and more and more.” This book made me laugh so hard I cried and also managed to get me to tear up at the end with such a sweet ending. I want more of these two they are so much fun to read about, and I felt like they were really just friends I had watched travel the road of love together from the beginning to the end, by the end of the book.

Hole Punched by Susan Renee is the first book I’ve read by this author but it is now my favorite book of all time! I loved this book from the first mention of a “Wiffy Stick” to a seriously hilarious scene near the end of the book when the main characters Jenna, her best friend Linda, the hot customer turned love interest Jacoby, and Jenna’s sister Bethy are discussing the reality of love. I will try not to spoil it with specifics but I have to warn anyone who reads this book to refrain from drinking anything while reading because there were quite a few times I spit out my water and laughed so hard I had tears running down my face.

I am new to the Romance Genre but I could not have picked a better book to start with. There was just the right amount of comedy, personal growth, and downright steaminess to make me want to read this book again and again.

The heroine of this book is Jenna who is the manager of an office supply store named Hole Punch, which is probably the best name ever. She works there with her best friend Linda who is so brutally honest and so awesome it makes me wish I had a best friend like her in real life. I love that Jenna has ambitions and goals, outside of her day job, she is working towards. Jenna has a great head on her shoulders is very relatable. The customers she encounters at the Hole Punch are spot on with anyone who’s ever worked in retail.

When Jenna meets one hot customer in particular, Jacoby, she realized just how much she needs him in her life. Like all relationships, they both have baggage, but there is something about the two of them and the hilarious situations they get in that just makes you root for them. My absolute favorite scene in the book is towards the end when they are all getting ready for an important event and Jacoby shows just how amazing he is. He explains to Jenna that love isn’t always hearts, and flowers and rainbows but sometimes love is holding someone’s hair back while they puke and other not so Hallmark moments.

Hopefully we will get to see Linda in a book of her own because that would be the only book that would knock this book off the top of my must-read list. If you like romantic comedies or just want a really great laugh, please read this book!

Hole Punched by Susan Renee is a fun, sweet romance story about being insecure. This story has humor, excitement and romance. The author created this story with just the right amount of romance to humor to keep you wanting to see what will happen next. You will love how the author related the characters to each other and found a way for the characters to relate to you. These characters will pull at your heart strings and make you belly rumble with laughter. Find out what happens with these characters!

Jenna is a manager at The Hole Punch. Some may think that this is a store with adult items but it really is an office supply store. She has a secret passion that she is not willing to share with anyone yet. What happens when she meets him? She knows that she shouldn't date her customers but will she be able to stay away from him? There seems to be an instant connection to each other. He is tall, sexy and handsome but she doesn't know who he is or what he does. Will she ever find out? Will she ever be convinced that she is good enough for anyone? Will her insecure win or will she learn to be just herself?

You will love how these characters pull you into their world of romance and their funny situations. This story has been the most humorous story that I have read in a long time. You will love how the author put Jenna in situations that will have you asking what was she thinking and other times make you laugh until you cry. If you love a funny romance, then this is the right story for you!

This is my second story by Susan Renee and like her first book I read, she never let me down with this one either. Susan lives in Ohio with her family and seven tiny donkeys. She enjoys crab walking through the Swiss Alps, drinking Muscle Milk and doing the Care Bear stare with her closest friends. Once again, this author has created a fast reading page turner that you will lose yourself in until the end. You will need to see what happens with these characters. I highly suggest this story as I know you will laugh reading page after page like I did.

Hole Punched by Susan Renee is a romantic comedy for the modern girl!
A witty, funny, at times sweet, at times sad but most of all a down-to-earth romantic comedy that you simply must read.
Hole Punched tells the story of Jenna (or Jizz to her friends) who works as a Retail Manager in Hole Punched, a store that fixes computers and sells office supplies; including nearly two dozen types of hole punches, yes. By night she designs (and with the help of her sister, makes) lingerie which she sells in a local boutique. Having been hurt in the past by an ex-boyfriend she is now a firm believer in the ‘love them and leave them’ kind of relationship. When Jacoby, a Super Hot Guy starts regularly coming into the store to purchase office supplies all Jenna can think about is bedding him! Jacoby himself is not a ‘commitment’ kind of guy and hasn’t been in a relationship since an ex girlfriend left him for another man a few years previously. To Jenna however, it seems to her that all she does around him is vomit words, spill coffee, and generally make a fool of herself.
Jenna and her friends are candid, frank, open and funny. Jenna herself suffers from what she calls ‘word vomit’ where her mouth babbles on regardless. This usually serves to make her even more embarrassed by the situation she’s in. Her internal comments to herself are just the sort of thing that we have all said to ourselves in similar situations and this makes them even funnier as they’re so true to life.
I thoroughly loved this book. The banter, especially between Jenna and her best friend Linda is hilarious and, at times, extremely candid and graphic. Yet they’re also there for each other when needed.
The sex talk and scenes are graphic yet sexy and (at times) funny and I enjoyed them. This is not a book to read if you’re prudish though. It is however, a Must Read if you like a book that’s funny, witty, sexy and romantic.

Hole Punched by Susan Renee 5 Stars
I loved this book! I laughed until I cried. Perfect romantic comedy. Jenna Zimmerman is the manager of the office supply store Hole Punched. She has aspirations of being a famous designer. She and her sister Beth spend every Sunday making lingerie. Jenna's eye for design is top-notch. Beth's brain for business completes the duo. The past makes Jenna very cautious about dating. Sure, she likes to have fun and has needs, but she doesn't see herself in a relationship soon, if at all. Mister tall, dark, and mysterious is a customer that she enjoys seeing. She is not a stocker, but she can tell you what he purchases regularly. Around him, Jenna seems to get tongue tied and gets into awkward situations which leads her to talk excessively. Word vomit is the term and she does it consistently when she is nervous. The sexy stranger seems to bring it out in her.
Jacoby is the regular at Home Punched. He doesn't really need all the paper, highlighters, and printer ink he keeps buying, but he does need to see the gorgeous manager he can't seem to get off of his mind. He is not good enough for his father because of the choices he made for his career and life. He has a secret that would blow his father out of the water and only a select few know what it is. When he finally gets to introduce himself to Jenna, he feels compelled to tell her who he really is. Will this secret tear his world apart or bring his loved ones closer together? Will his father finally accept him for who he is or will it cause a bigger rift in their relationship? How does this new girl live out her dream and cause his dream to be public?
A must read light hearted comedy that will keep you on your toes and make you laugh out loud.

DNF at 27%.

When I can't get into a book, I always try to make it to the 25% mark because that's when, for me anyway, I can tell if I'm going to possibly like it. Man, I was so disappointed I couldn't get into this one. I had seen the cover and read the blurb quite a few times and when I saw that it was on KU, I jumped on it because it always intrigued me. It was one of those books I kept going back to so I had to give it a shot.

I think my biggest problem was the overdone/juvenile dialogue. It kind of felt like those new Disney shows where the acting is so unbelievably done it gets annoying. If the author had toned it down just a bit, it would have been perfect. The banter was mostly witty, but I couldn't stand how many times Jenna referred to herself as a slut. No one is a slut for sleeping around (unless it's with someone elses S/O) and it's not even something I would jokingly call someone. Personal preference of course, but bothersome nonetheless.

Jacoby was okay. His description was nice and he seems like a nice guy. I don't get the bad boy vibe from him, AT ALL despite calling himself a dark horse. I don't think working on cars and having tattoos makes you a bad boy, but I also didn't get into the depth of his character so it's highly possible that I just hadn't gotten to that point yet.

I can already tell (and it was confirmed by a review I read) what Jenna's "big secret" is that she does for a side job, but I'm not sure why it's so secretive.

I can't say I would recommend this book, but I get why other people would. Contradictory, I know, but my motto is that life is too short to spend time reading books that don't grip you from the beginning.

Hole Punched written by Susan Renee was a great read. I’m not going to lie I had no idea what it was about before I started reading it (I tend to do this a lot). But I loved this book. I loved the characters, the relationship between them is fabulous and had some nice twists and turns.
This is the love story of jenna, where the past conflicts with the present and she is forced to learn to move on. Her best friend is hilarious and makes all the serious moments more *bam in your face*. There is always that one person who always has something to say, whether you want to hear it or not. That just happens to be the best friend in this story and she had me laughing the whole time.
Then there is Jacoby. Where to start with him. He needs to move on, and open up. He’s so private and never let’s anyone in. Until he meets Jenna at her work… The Hole Punch. And lets just say there are tons of ups and downs throughout the story after that.
The story is told in alternating point of view, going from Jenna’s point of view to Jacoby’s point of view. The issues brought up in this book are fairly common and there are some sexual scenes so it is not for under 18, but they are some great scenes. I finished this story pretty quickly after I began it, it sucked me in right away. The way the situations were handled is how I think myself and my friends would have handled them at that age. Overall great book definitely worth the read.

Going into this story I had no clue what to expect. I mean look at the title. From the outside I wondered if it would be a darker book because of 'hole punched' but this is why you shouldn't judge a book by the title of its cover.

The story follows Jacoby and Jenna down the rabbit hole of a romance. As we all do, she jumps to conclusions in regards to Jacoby and it leads to some awkward moments between them. But once that is resolved because it's quite the irony when it is, they go on cruise control for their relationship.

But what fun would that be without some turmoil right? Jacoby may seem like the perfect guy on the surface but as Jenna learns more about him she sees that there might be some things that he is hiding from her. Jenna begins to wonder if the ghosts from Jacoby's past will take over their future.

I love the light and carefree writing that Susan Renee especially in the relationship with Jenna and Jacoby. It's that kind of light and carefree way that love is supposed to be. You know that while they may have a hard time fighting the demons of the past it doesn't decide how the future will come out.

I own all of Susan Renee's books, but Hole Punched was the first one I have read so far! I'm not sure why I haven't read the others because of they're anything like Hole Punched then I know I won't be disappointed!
Hole Punched is adorably hilarious! There's so much funny in this book that it's impossible to not at least crack a grin. There's also a few WTF moments, but hey isn't that life? It added flair and made me laugh because I really have no clue how this girl thinks of this stuff! Wondering what I could possibly be talking about? Go read this book and find out! haha. I hate to give spoilers, especially when they are so entertaining!
Susan didn't just make a book full of jokes though, she added a hot, steamy guy and a quirky woman who needs that guy who will always reassure her. The world is so hard on women and sometimes they carry that with them for so long. It just takes the right guy to show you that not every man's opinion is the same. I think if you get anything out of this book, that is the most important!

ha! love love loved this book. the story is freaking great!!!

Jenna is the manager of Hole Punched, a secret lingerie designer and a commitment phobe! Then she runs into a regular customer at a coffee shop, changing things up for them both.

Jacoby's been watching Jenna for awhile, when she falls in his lap it's fate and he needs to act. He's careful with her, showing her how good it can be and she does the same for him.

it's a whirlwind of humor, lust and amazballs writing. this is a short, up beat story that will surely brighten your day!

I thought this was and exceptionally funny book. It seemed my cheeks were always hurting from my constant smiling or laughing out loud. The situations that Jena gets herself into, even with the the help of her best friend and without are so funny but you could actually see them happening to someone. I love how the love story between Jenna and Jacoby grows and how their trusts and faith not only in each other but in themselves grows as well. I is a really great book and I encourage everyone to read it and make your day a little brighter for it.

Fun read about Jenna who works by day at an office supply store but by night is a lingerie designer and Jacoby who owns a truck repair place by day and is a secret romance author by night. He's also got some pretty hefty family stuff as he is the governor's son. He is also so into Jenna that he keeps visiting her and buying stuff he doesn't need just to see her. Super cute.

Main drama comes from her past relationship and his family. I wanted more closure with his family given all the drama.
