Cochrane, R.N., CEO,Author of Forgiven and Set A Post-Abortion Bible Study for Women

In today's America, an abortion is performed every 26 seconds. Since 1973, nearly 58 million abortions have been performed in the United States alone, devastating countless women, men, and families.

Cathy Harris knows firsthand the pain and sorrow that follows an abortion, having had one at a young age. Looking for new life for herself after her abortion, Cathy was brave enough to step through the doors of a church. Because of one bold conversation, a genuine community, and a merciful God, life found her. Now she dreams that other women will find the abundant life they search for, both before and after abortion.

In Created to Becoming the Answer for an Abortion-Free Community, Harris seeks to start the conversation that few are brave enough to have. One that she hopes will help end the abortion epidemic and instead create a culture of life.

Using personal insight acquired through her own story, Harris offers advice and encouragement to those who have had an abortion, know someone who has, or desire to make a pro-life impact in their community. Created to Live features resources, hard truths, and practical steps to help end the abortion epidemic.

The days of hanging in the balance are over. The grey area is quickly becoming black or white, and the choice is ours. God will always be will you be part of the abortion-free community that thousands of women and babies need?

In my high school speech class, I gave an argumentative speech on abortion. Among the comments given to me by my classmates was one that's forever stuck with me: What if someone listening here has had an abortion? Many in the pro-life movement are so focused on saving babies that the people who have already been touched intimately by abortion are forgotten or neglected. Cathy Harris does an excellent job of reminding us that grace is needed while we stand on the battlefield. Through her personal story, she touches on many aspects of this complex issue--from the callous ignorance of those who only give it lip service to the immense shame, fear, and anger of those who've undergone (or stood with someone who underwent) an abortion. Yet she delivers her call to all of us with grace and love. This is one of those books that sticks with you, makes you consider your own thoughts and actions, and hopefully changes each reader for the better.

I think this book would be very comforting to Christian post-abortion women and gives churches ideas as to how to help postabortion women in their pews heal. I didn't get that much out of it though. There were some interesting testimonies at the end. I don't think the title is accurate because it said nothing about stopping abortion, just helping postabortion women. There is very little thought given to the baby.

Sharing God's Grace in and around the abortion issue

This is a very helpful book as Cathy describes her own journey after abortion and then how God brought not only forgiveness but the opportunity for her to help many others who were considering abortion or who also were living with self hate and misery following their abortions. For someone who believed abortion was not only was wrong but could lead to serious consequences, but still remained uninvolved in trying to do anything about it, it has been very helpful to pray through my previous lack of response to it. The tone of this book is so Godly, worshipful and gentle it is excellent.
