Sophie enjoys reading, writing, seeking, and dreaming about romance! She feels most likely to experience the romantic side of life while traveling to new cities, hiking through the mountains, or making new friends.
One bad is usually enough, but here you get 5 and the heat just keeps rising. Can't complain about the value to be had as the characters continue to wow you from one novella to the next. Definitely recommend for those who like it hot. I voluntarily read this Advanced Reader Copy, but Sophie Brooks has become a favorite for the action she packs into her books. She gets 5 stars from me with this bundle of joy.
5 books, all enjoyable to read, just slightly kinky and fun. I had a hard time getting through the Justin/Lily story tho, for all the same reasons 50 shades irritates me. Overall a good read tho.
I chose to read and review this book. It is a very well written boxset. I enjoyed reading about these hot sexy men and their spicy women each one is well written with a great plot flow and characters each one is full of emotions and sparks that will keep you reading you will enjoy it read it
This is a great fun set of stories that bring out the wild fun side, but also hit home with the truth of how hard relationships can be. Sophie has done a great job with all five stories, and this is a great compilation to read them in. I have written a brief summary of each story as well
I received a free copy of this book and chose to VOLUNTARILY review it. My review is completely honest, and a non-incentivized review
1: Wicked Bet Alyssa and Ian have been married for one and a half years, too busy for their honeymoon, and even too busy to get busy. When they agree on a bet to decide where to go for their honeymoon, it becomes a high stake pleasure game. This was an awesome story, for anyone that has ever felt married life is hard, you'll get this story. It was written from Alyssa's perspective, but you still really got to understand Ian's side as well. A great story to help you think about what's important in life.
2: Dirty Work Fiona loves watching Jake do his handyman thing, she just regrets that he no longer lives with her, that he's possibly dating a friend of theirs and hardest of all that she still loves him and wished he'd never moved out in the middle of one of their fights. As Fiona keeps needing Jakes services for fixing the house and she's very light on cash, Jake decides on a new payment plan, one that Fiona loves and hates at the same time. When Fiona's home floods, Jake doesn't react the way she expected and the truth comes out. This was another hard hitting book on the truth behind relationships, how easy they are to fluff through and ignore the real issues, but also how easy they are to lose with one wrong sentence. Beautifully written.
3: Naughty Nights Darcy is loving her jobs as Assistant Director of the Hampton Acres retirement Home, and also loving the hotel she's staying in while she looks for an apartment ...ok so maybe it's not really the hotel so much as the hot guy, Luke, that mans the front desk in the evenings. Luke has become Darcy's best and closest friend, and as much as she'd like more, she's already lost a best friend to romance before, and doesn't want to risk it again. One night after pizza in Darcy's room, they both fall asleep, only to be woken by Barbara, the hotel Manager. Now the game is to get Luke out without being caught or he'll lose his job for fraternizing with the guests. I enjoyed watching Darcy and Luke come up with ways to distract Barbara, including involving some of the other guests, and even one of the residents at Harmony Acres. It was a great story with great wit that scary spot on the line between friendship and love. If you've enjoyed Sophie's other stories, you'll enjoy this one too
4:For years Cheyenne has been in love with Chef Callum Bryant, he's feisty aggressive and hot as hell, with an accent to die for. Cheyenne has spent the last couple of weeks as a chef on his show, but when she is kicked off her heart breaks, she can't leave without seeing the kitchen for a final time. While facing the reality of leaving the show kicks in, Chef Bryant comes in and that results in Cheyenne running through tests to prove her worth and results in the night of her life before she needs to say goodbye forever to the crush of her life. Facing life without Chef is something that she has to face, but at least she'll have this one night to get her through. I really enjoyed this story, I wish it could've gone on for longer because I enjoyed it so much. It was beautifully written, and I liked the characters
5: Wild Rush Lily is madly in love with Justin, and has been for the while fourteen months they've been dating. When they happen to run into one of Justin's exes, Lily starts to question if she's enough for Justin, is there more she can't or won't give, will he realize it and leave her. Once they open up, things are great until one incident that results in Lily's heart been broken. This was a great story about listening to your partners needs, not choosing what you think is best for them. Lily was a beautiful character that just wanted to make her man happy, Justin was the perfect boyfriend that most girls dream of having
Bad Boys By Night is a great bundle set of five novellas from Sophie Brooks. What a great way to acquaint yourself with this author’s work. I’ve read most of them and the ones I have read include solid plots, great characters who sizzle with chemistry, and the emotional goodness for wonderful romance. I have included my reviews for the following stories:
Dirty Work: Sweet, sexy second chance romance 4.5 stars
I’m a sucker for second chance romances, and Dirty Work did not disappoint. It was so much fun reading how sexy, hunky Jake and ex-girlfriend Fiona find their way back together. What’s a girl to do when her ex-boyfriend works in construction, knows his way around fixing things, but not quite adept at fixing a relationship? And what if her house is falling down around her without ready cash to fix them? Fiona and Jake play a sexy game bartering for “play” time for fixer upper repairs. But Fiona wants more than being friends with benefits, wishing for a real relationship and hoping Jake feels the same. I loved how they finally figured out what was really important to them both since they’ve been apart. Love and family.
Ms Brook’s style of writing is fluid and fast paced in this fun novella which made for an enjoyable read. Written in Fiona’s POV, Dirty Work is equal parts story, steamy sex, and romance. It has all the reasons why I read romance. *sigh*
Naughty Nights: Friends to Lovers, sweet and romantic 4.5 stars!!
I didn’t know what to expect with Naughty Nights, but I loved the whole friends to lovers trope, and this story did not disappoint. Both Darcy and Luke were engaging, likable characters. Ms. Brooks crafts her skill into this wonderful, quick-paced short story with wit, humor, scintillating dialogue, sexiness, and quirky secondary characters. Naughty Nights is both sexy and sweet, and oh so, romantic. At 83 pages, it packs a punch, a nice read just before bed.
Hot Shot: Hot lessons in the kitchen 3.5 stars!
At 24, Cheyenne’s culinary talent has landed her as a contestant in a reality cooking show called the Kitchen Tyrant, headed by her biggest crush, and the star of most of her sexy wet dreams, Callum Bryant. Chef Bryant is one hot, muscled Aussie bad boy who’s a world class executive chef, and his bad boy antics drive his successful show and dozens of successful restaurants around the world. Cheyenne is the youngest of the chefs, has lasted up until the last six contestants and awaits for Chef Bryant to reward her to stay the next level, but with harsh words she’s booted off the show. She’s a lot heartbroken, and can’t resist a visit to the studio kitchen one more time. What she didn’t expect was to be found by Callum and taught some valuable lessons that ratchet up the heat in the kitchen.
Once again, Sophie Brooks serves up some sizzling heat, one hot alpha male, and a willing heroine. I enjoyed the creative kinky scenes and buildup of tension between our lovers. It’s a fun read that packs a punch in this novella-length story. The ending promised more in the future for these two, but I’d love to see Callum and Cheyenne find their HEA. Right now, as it stands, it’s a HFN.
Wicked Bet: This sweet novella is about Alyssa and Ian, a 20 something career driven 18 month married couple. The Storyline flows through perfectly from the beginning to the end. The character's are realistic with real emotions and flaws. This novella is sweet, sexy, hot, and romantic. Perfect ending to the book. I recommend reading this novella if you love competition & bets. Naught Nights: Luke Larson is the hotel manager & new in town girl Darcy's rule is friends only. This novella is a quick hot read. It is sweet, sexy & romantic. The plot is friends to lover's is done perfect. The character's are well developed & humorous. Hot Shot: Cheyenne is a Midwestern girl who has hopes of becoming a chef & owning her own restaurant. When she applys & becomes a contestant on Kitchen Tyrant Chef Callum Bryant who she has been crushing over for years. This highly entertaining novella is very well written and developed with no plot holes. The character's are wity & engaging. This novella is steamy, hot, romantic, humourous, sweet & spicy, sexy & decadently yummy! Iwas hooked from the beginning & could not put this novella down as it was so good. I highly recommend reading this novella as you will not be disappointed. I would love to read more about Cheyanne & Callum. I volunteerly reviewed an advanced copy of this boxset. Dirty Work: Review to follow Wild Rush: Review to follow
I received free ARC of this set. This is my honest review. BOOK1 - 20 somethings Ian and Alyssa are so busy getting g to the top of their careers they forget to take time for each other. It takes a bet to bring them together again. Great read, made me text my hubby and tell him we have to take time out of our schedules for each other! BOOK 2 - Great read about a couple who break up over a misunderstanding but she does not totally give him up by having him always come home to fix things. He never wanted to leave. I don't know why but this book brought tears to my eyes. BOOK 3 - Both hot and funny I spent a lot of time going from laughing to breathing heavy. I highly recommend. BOOK 4 - All I can say is I bet this does not happen on "Hell's Kitchen." Chef Ramsey, eat your heart out. BOOK 5 - This was a great book about an experienced Dom giving up the life style for a woman he falls in love with. She wants to give it a try. It is a book to read that is for sure.
Bad boys by night. These five sexy steamy short reads got better and better as I read each book. As stated they all had happy ever afters ... so they was a bit predictable but still exciting little reads Would recommend
What a great collection by Sophie Brooks. Five books with five hot men and and their sexy woman counterparts with lots of romance and some kinky scenes. My favourite was the first story Wicked Bet with Lyss and Ian who are married but are too busy with work to have any intimacy. What I loved the most about this story is the ending when they try to learn who won the bet, the email said it all. You'll just have to read it to find out what it said. If you pick this collection up you won't be disappointed and I'm sure you will find at least one to be your favourite romance. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
Sophie Brooks writes great steamy novellas. Her leading men are awesome bad boys that you'll want for your next book boyfriend.
My favorite is Chef Bryant from Hot Shot, who brings new meaning to if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. I loved his sexy cooking lessons with Cheyenne after she was kicked off his cooking show.
Each of the stories were fantastic though. Check out this book and find your next book boyfriend.
