General Augustus Bron, Commander of the Traoian Iron Guard, has never approved of the practice of capturing human women and training them to serve the rich and powerful of his world. He knows, however, that success in politics is all but impossible without the social status granted by ownership of a human pet, and with his planet in desperate need of new leadership he sees little choice but to obtain one for himself.
When she pieces together a connection between five missing women, reporter Phaedra Ellis knows she is onto something big, but before she can go public with her story she is taken from her apartment in the middle of the night and brought to a facility unlike anything she has ever seen before. To her shock, Phaedra is informed that she is no longer on Earth, and more disturbing still, she is now the property of a huge, powerful alien warrior who will not hesitate to bare her bottom and spank her soundly should she dare to disobey him.
After an intimate, deeply humiliating medical examination confirms her suitability as a pet, Bron begins Phaedra’s training. Though taming her will require a firm hand and punishments much more shameful than a mere spanking may be necessary from time to time, he has no doubt that he is up to the task. But despite his efforts to remain stoic, his beautiful little human has soon claimed a place in his heart. When Bron’s enemies seek to use his growing love for Phaedra against him, can the battle-hardened soldier find a way to protect both his planet and his pet?
Publisher’s The Alien’s Captive is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, medical play, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.
Ava Sinclair is a best-selling Amazon romance author who caters to readers who appreciate a plot driven book where the steamy sex complements the story, rather than overshadowing it.
A hopeless bibliophile, Ava avidly reads across multiple genres, and this is reflected in her varied body of work that spans contemporary, medieval fantasy, western, historical, time travel and sci-fi. She especially enjoys world-building and crafting interesting and relatable characters.
Because her books feature graphic sex and elements of power exchange, she gently cautions her readers to take her work for what it is – delightful, sexy escapism.
Ava lives in southern Virginia in a farmhouse tucked away on a wooded hilltop. The first thing she did after moving in was to rip out the dining room and turn it into a library/office. This is where she spends most of her days, writing and being ignored by her cats. When she’s not working, she enjoys roaming the woods around her house, or seeking the advice of Lucius, her Eagle Owl.
This was surprisingly well on the plot front. The world building was good. I was expecting a bit more erotic than it was. The bdsm is mild as it's mostly just spanking and mental but maybe others would disagree. I think it's a good short read if you are indecisive about your next read.
I thought I knew what this book would be about and I was wrong, there were some things about this book that I loved and for my preferences had the potential to be a five star book but for what I like this wasn't for me so much. This book is noted to have BDSM elements which doesn't bother me but really I would say this is a full blown BDSM book which I know many love but for me it's something that I tend to steer clear of. For my safety gang this is not safe.
There are just a few too many things that made this book not something I would read and again other than those I really liked the book, and I'm not blaming the author(obviously it's personal presence) because I should have read the entire book description but after reading just a little I got excited and started assuming I knew the rest.
Phaedra is a reporter who is investigating several missing woman. When she opens the door for her pizza order Phaedra finds herself kidnapped and taken from earth to be a pet. The elite of Traoian are allowed sexual pets, woman taken from earth in exchange for their technology. Bron is up for election soon and is pressured to take a pet. Not wanting to but knowing his election may depend on it he agrees.
When Phaedra wakes she fights as best as she can but soon learns she has no choice but to accept Bron. But her new reality isn't something Phaedra just lets slide and she finds herself fighting in anyway she can. Bron is used to defiant people and has every intention of subduing Phaedra. The longer they are together the more Phaedra finds herself submitting to Bron and liking it but the world of Traoian is volatile with his enemies and his looming election, and when Bron and Phaedra think they can have it all enemy's surfaces taking away the only thing Bron loves.
This book is hard for me to rate because like I said I should have read from the beginning to know this is a fully blown BDSM book. What I read that wasn't a trigger for me a really liked, but like I said there are several trigger that made it a book I wouldn't read. But as I said that was my own fault. I really like how this author wrote I was easily pulled into this book and engaged. When You see Bron's true feeling you see Phaedra is it for him, and Phaedra is completely gone for Bron. If you like BDSM you will love this book, if you are trigger happy, sensitive, or squeamish this one isn't for you.
Wow. Firstly, this book was not at all what I expected. I went in thinking it would be all smut and erotica, but there was such wonderful world building that I absolutely enjoyed.
There was politics and fighting and scheming, along with BDSM themes, and it was the perfect weekend read.
This was a very good book. It was predictable, I knew what was coming next but it was really good. The writing was awesome and I enjoyed the imagery of the planet. I was kind of upset that Gen Bron felt he "needed" a pet because the other guy had one, but I understood why. It is the way of their planet and world. I totally didn't see the doctor's part coming though. I was shocked and I love when I get a good surprise in a story. Phaedra made me laugh. She was so spirited and I'm really glad that she stays spirited and they didn't break her too much through the story. I am very glad that Bron liked her spirit enough to train her himself so that the evil Matron didn't break her too bad. I loved seeing their love through their actions toward each other and their jealousy when others were around them. This was a very alluring, sexy, fun read that I enjoyed a lot.
This is really short; there's not a lot of plot, and what little there is, is basically paper-thin. There's no reason for the hero and heroine to fall in love, and no reason for her sudden devotion, except maybe Stockholm syndrome. The actual threat to the alien planet was also super contrived and was resolved way, way too easily for any sort of satisfaction in the conclusion.
The h's body and face are surgically enhanced without her consent to make her more physically "pleasing" to her kidnapper/rapist: “Your skin is flawless for a human, although you will be scanned for blemishes and scars before your bath. I can see no reason for a complete resurfacing…"
And I'm out. For all those who don't see this as body-shaming, this is the book for you.
General Augustus Bron🐺🍌🌋✋🔫🔪, is a rising political figure on the planet TraoX39🌍. The people on the planet are just beginning to keep human women as sex slaves💋💃. Lots of xxx sexy scenes and erotic spankings✋✋✋. Great story, and well thought out all the way through.
Remember! Big Bad Alpha Aliens do what they want! They aren't bound by earthly laws or rules. Don't try to put human values on aliens!
For an erotica, this book is surprisingly plot-driven and well-planned. It's the only book I've read that doesn't justify the salvery of women and actually frees humans (somewhat) from the sexual control of the aliens. From that perspective, it's enjoyable. The smutt is good, and I think there's chemistry between the hero and the heroine.
However, as always, the heroine abandons everything she believes in and falls in love with her controller quite quickly. I also resent the description of her human boyfriend as a comparison of a weak, non-alpha male, compared to the hero, who's all macho.

The male MC was stiff. I like the female MC. Because she fought her predicament for 70 pages. She felt 3D up until 70 pages. When she turns her perspective, that's when she turns to a 2D character. They both lacked emotional passion! That's why I gave 2 stars. I'm reluctant to want to read another story from this author.
The first, and will not be the last book i have read by this author,What can i say the BDSM in this book is very well written(the author knows what she is writing about),a cracking book to read over a couple of days. If i could have given it more than 5 stars,i would have done.
Some great writing and love how Sinclair used the fantasy element. I think the book had much more BDSM elements and captured woman/non consent than in the description and put me off the book...
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked this book. Even though the women are called pets in this story, I viewed it as more or a Master/slave story. The General does not believe in having a human pet but is talked into by his political sponsor. Phaedra gets too close to the answer to some missing women and is abducted to keep her quiet. The actual story (beyond the relationship between the two protagonists) is very good. The General has seen the way his people are viewed by others and wants to ensure the survival of his race and is willing to go against his personal views (the owning of a human pet) to try to bring about the change required for that survival. The premise for the book could have lead to a much longer book but the author does a great job pulling everything together for a satisfying ending (including a nice epilogue). My opinions and ratings are based on my love of reading interesting stories and not on included sex/punishment/BDSM scenes (which I know virtually nothing about).
The Alien's Captive is a well written story, and one of the better examples of a sub-genre I read far too much of. I have to admit, when I come across a good one like this I realize just how much I enjoy erotic, capture fantasy, sci/fi, despite the predictability. I suppose this sounds like faint praise, but there are many times I want to relax with a book like this only to end up very disappointed by sloppy writing and/or story telling.
I liked both Phaedra and General Bron, although I felt pretty sorry for Phaedra during the first part of the book - that part is always so deliciously uncomfortable! My only complaint is the way Phaedra refers to Bron when her opinion changes. While I can understand her coming to terms with her circumstances and her body's reaction to being dominated, I just can't see her ever using such submissive vocabulary. It doesn't fit her character in my opinion.
I am not a huge reader of sci-fi stories, but could not resist a good capture fantasy with all the potential for sexy fun. This book is well written and the story is somewhat engaging. However, the reason I purchased this book was for my own shallow desire of wanting to read a sexy story, and on that front, it was just okay for me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I thought the sex scenes were witnessed from afar rather than feeling the heat of each touch, spanking and soft lick. So I read about the h's arousal but found my own to be lacking. How's that for honesty? With all that said, I would still recommend this book for those wanting an entertaining story that has its sexy moments.
Although Bron did not seek out the opportunity, once he decided to take on a "pet" he relished the chance to train Phaedra to his specifications. Although the aliens referred to the captured women as pets, the relationship was more that of Master/Slave. Phaedra was intelligent and her feisty nature provided Bron with a challenge he enjoyed. Phaedra discovered that she loved Bron and loved being his slave. There was a bit of posturing, political intrigue and betrayal to round it all out. The descriptions of the aliens, their products and technology was well written. I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy.
Punishment was a common place thing in this Alien master/human slave( pet) novel. Human woman are pet slaves of the elite on this Alien world. Punishment to teach control is the main theme, so if this is a problem I would pass on reading this book. The punishment versus arousal bothered me enough to drop my stars from 4 to 3. The world building, explanations of enslavement and political plots were excellent. It made a very interesting read. I recommend this book to those who enjoy the extreme dominance themes in their reading choices. SQ
Pretty good story. The plot was engaging & entertaining & erotic, lol. Phaedra is stubborn & strong-willed but after being abducted to another planet soon realizes that things could be worst. Her owner, Bron is totally alpha, politicking yet he has compassion & he's very smart. They have a rocky road and challenges to overcome with envy & deceit all around them which keep the suspense juices flowing. The author does an excellent job with the different types of aliens, yuck, lol but very interesting.
This Sci-Fi is a departure from the author's other book and it's awesome. The storyline is well developed and the writing by this gifted author is wonderful. There is a lot of Non-Con in the beginning and the epilogue explained the changes to the planet with three moons. The characters thoughts, feelings, emotions and dialogue were delved into with insight. This book was a fast paced page turning action adventure with many twists and turns and I couldn't put it down until I finished it.
A smoking hot sci-fi with a ton of steam! The plot was great and offered suspense and danger in a wonderful sci-fi world, the characters were strong and I found myself quickly reading and turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next! I adored the ending! Nicely done! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.
This was a good book. Not great, very predictable. Girl gets kidnapped hot alien boy buys her. Hot sex, more kidnapping, more rescuing, more sex. Fun fluffy read.
