So Nina is a witch, she has a vision of witches destroying the other supernatural creatures. To stop this from happening she runs away from her coven to find the Council to warn them. Along the way she is injured and saved by bear shifter Kevin. They begin a courtship of sorts and she eventually tells him about her gift. He rightfully has some questions and maybe overreacts slightly but Nina takes it to a whole other level. Since he knows literally nothing about her except that she smells good I feel like obviously he would have some doubt after her revelation. Nina is so mad at him for doubting her at all she freezes him, storms off and says woes me everyone is the same and I can't possibly succeed and blah blah. Since Nina was supposed to be some bad ass witch I couldn't deal with this reaction and didn't much care what happened next.

Kevin and Nina's story blows the first book out of the water and i loved it , so I'm not sure what to say anout this one , except grab it , make sure you have a few hours to yourself and plan on reading it straight thru !! I did and it was an adventure and a half !! There is some hot sexy shifter-witch sex , so please be over 18 to read it .It doesn't end with a cliffhanger so much as little tidbits to keep you on your toes looking for the next books in the series !! It's that good !! 5⭐'s and I don't give those out very often , but if you like paranormal romance, you will afore this book and the series !! I received a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

This is a review for Desired by Alpha Bear only, although the book contains additional bonus books. Nina is a witch, and Kevin is an alpha shifter. When she is fatally injured and thrown in his path, Kevin knows she's his mate. But Nina is more than a witch, and she's also on the run to tell the Council something she knows. Thus begins their adventure together. I love Ms. Stone's writing style - we get the gist of the story without having to know every detail, and there is plenty of sizzle to satisfy. I'm enjoying this series, and can't wait to read more. I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of this book.

You have a sheltered witch that was under the care of a High Priestess but escaped when she discovered what horrendous things were happening with more to come. There is so much to this story it pulls you in to her readjusting to a world she has never known and learning to trust, love and accept protection from someone, you don't understand the under lying feelings you have for them. It was such a great shifter romance with lots to fall in love with. I received this for my honest unbiased review.

OMG!! I loved this book!! Better than the first and it has a awesome heroine! Nina is far out of her normal life and trying to stay alive. She needs to find the council before it's to late but what she finds is so much more. Kevin has been having dreams about a woman and it's driving him crazy. He's tired and worn down. Little does he know that he's been giving his life force to her. I could not out this.book down. It grabs you from the first page and you hold your breath till the last!!

Again the story I purchased was great.The rest of the book, 3/4 is full of stories I did not choose. I really wish publishers would stop doing this. I paid for a book and received a story in a collection .

What an amazing story! Nina's journey to find and use her immense powers was not easy but finding her mate in the process made it worth it all. Also, Nina had to learn what mating a wolf shifter means. This story has steamy romance, wonderful and spicy characters and lots of magic.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters.

You have a young witch that has had a miserable life and is on the run to try to stop the destruction planned against the paranormal community. She doesn't expect to find a bear shifter that turns out to be her mate. He is determined to keep her by his side regardless of the danger.

I liked how Nina is so determined to save others. She has no idea what it is like to really have good people who don't want something from her. Kevin's pack welcome her and it makes her determined to keep them safe. Kevin is a good guy. He knows he and his mate belong together and he tries so hard to give her what she needs. They have such an intense connection before they ever even meet.

Very entertaining and lot of action

This is a self-contained story yet part of a series. The council that is not truly anymore are still bound by their vows. A young witch is trying to seek them out to help prevent a war.
There are no coincidences and trouble come back to the Shadow Claws.
This is a well written and very entertaining story to read.

Nina stepped into the circle in the woods and began to chant. When she finished, her familiar, a falcon, flew down to communicate with her. She ran after him as he looked for food for her, but tripped on a hidden log. Something rustled in the bushes but nothing appeared so she ignored it. But as she dropped her guard, a spear of wood pierced her stomach. She felt she was dying until an unknown magic joined hers and she was able to remove the wood. When she came back to consciousness, she saw a young boy with green eyes who turned out to be the powerful (and bad-tempered) King of the Fairies.

Nina warned the King that a war was coming where the witches would destroy the other supernaturals. He did not believe her and caused her intense pain. She urged him to search her mind to see the prophecy for himself, then she passed out again. His final words to her were to look for a female bear shifter, and that the dark magic of her wound would have to heal at its own pace.

A distance away, Kevin, a bear shifter and alpha’s lieutenant, collapsed in front of his alpha. He felt totally drained of energy and was hungry. His alpha told him he was calling in all of their shifters. He sensed something coming and was on high alert. Later Kevin was talking with Samuel and wanted to tell him about dreams he was having lately about a dark-haired woman. But he decided not to. Samuel, too, felt something bad was coming.

This is a fast-moving story where events start to align in a deadly combination. The characters are very well developed, and Nina and Kevin are both likeable with qualities that the reader cannot fail to notice. There are many challenges to overcome. How will the prophecy resolve itself? Is there any hope that Nina’s warnings get to the right people, and would it make a difference in the dire outcome? What connection does Kevin have to explain his unusual reactions? I definitely recommend this book. It promises to be a great series!

Is this the end?

This was another good story. Their journey was not an easy path and both fought against something that they didn't understand. As the story unfolded truths were revealed and a whole new set of questions arise. Is this the end? This could go so many ways but I really want to see Fergus story. I sure hope there's more.

yum yum yum this was hott.. i loved the teddy bear of an alpha.. he was sweet.. and hard.. he was rough.. yet gentle.. it was all amazing and wonderful. his mate nina was also a strong and amazing woman.. she was paranormal herself which was amazing. i liked it and im glad i got to review it

Nina, our heroine, risks it all by running as fast and as far away from the coven she’d been raised in since a child due to a prophetic dream. Kevin, our hero, doesn’t understand why he has been so weakened recently. They get thrown together and it is all they can do to figure out what is happening. She doesn’t understand what affection is or how to deal with it; he has always been told that shifters can’t mate with anyone but their own kind.

The group of characters here were vivid and alive from the start and I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. The suspense alone throughout keep me asking “What?”. Witches, Shifters, and Magic….oh my! You’ve read the blurb and seen the cover, but you won’t be satisfied with just that. This is meant as a standalone, but there are more books to the series. I plan to check them all out as I want to know how it will all roll out. At the end, it gives the impression that this story is not yet over and I have a need to know. When a book captures me to this extent, I have to give it a 5 Star rating as I usually don’t move beyond the voluntary read of the first book. This is not for under 18 as there is sexual content.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this very intriguing book. What you will find in this book is: a witch on the run (Nina), a bear shifter (Kevin), suspense, intrigue, action, some adventure, witches, bear shifters, witch hunters, magic, prophesy, magical pets, protection, mates, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters are quite well developed with emotional feelings according to the situation they find themselves in. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a well written Bear Shifter Romance with a HEA.

The series includes most characters of the paranormal community , it's not just shifters.
Each book has left me wanting more .
I can not wait to see who's story is next in the series .
