Sidney
10 years. 3,650 days. 87,600 hours.
That’s how long it has been since I saw my best friend. But who’s counting? Walking away from Luke Thomas was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but the choice was out of my hands. I left Las Vegas a seventeen-year-old girl, afraid and alone, and returned about the same. I was forced into a situation I didn’t want to be in. Until that day. I haven’t seen him in ten long years, but one look at the man he became and that killer smile, and I knew I would never be the same.

Luke
Life goes on.
I learned that valuable piece of information at a young age, but sometimes a memory creeps up and smacks me square in the face. Or more accurately, a person. The day my best friend walked away was the day I realized I’d never be the same. My life became work, family, and women, and I was doing great. Then she walked back into my life. One look at the grown-version of Sidney Rogen leaves me breathless and yearning for more.

But love is never easy.
And our love story isn’t perfect.
In a heartbeat, one person can wrap around you so tightly, you’re entwined forever. That’s our love.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

Up until the last 10-15%, this book was a solid 4-4.5 star read. But the reason behind the hero's mother being a bitch wasn't good enough. Sorry but I have no sympathy for a woman who purposely goes out of her way to make the woman in her son's life uncomfortable and humiliated every time they're in the same room. She was so rude and constantly pushing other women on to her son just because she could. Then to turn around and say that she always liked Sidney? Fuck the hell off! Maybe if I were missing a brain, I might possibly believe her ridiculously quick turn around. But whatever. And why didn't Sidney ever bring up the fact that she overheard Luke talking about Jessica (the ex) and her hot ass? Or am I supposed to conveniently forget about that, too?

I believed in the HEA, but everything about the mother and he whole family enabling that behaviour pissed me off to the point it ruined the story for me. Not sure if this author is someone I'll continue to read. We'll see.

**ARC received voluntarily to be reviewed**

This was my first time reading this series and I actually liked it. Luke Thomas and Sidney Rogen were childhood best friends. He was a year older than her but they always got along and secretly had a crush on each other. Until the night of Luke's graduation party when they crossed that invisible line. They never saw each other again after that night.

Forward 10 years when they run into each other again and realize that those feelings are still there. So instead of hiding they give it a shot and a surprise, lol. Everything was going smoothly even though I HATED Luke's meddling mom and that couldn't take a hint about not interfering in her son's life. I liked that Luke ignored his mom and listened to his older Blake.

They were incidents here and there that were resolved immediately and wasn't drawn out which was refreshing. I enjoyed Sidney's assistant, Cassidy, and her no filter comments. Also Carly, Blake's wife, Blake and their toddler daughter that was a sponge for all the curse worlds, lololol, their father Daniel and Sidney's minor brother Jacobi. Great read.

I must say that I enjoyed both epilogue especially the second one,

His ex, Jessica was calculating and brazen and his mother, was a willing supporter. His mother she was overbearing...negatively intruding in his personal life.

His mother wants him to date–but only on her terms, with her choices. Years aback, when he risked bringing a girl home, his mother sabotaged it by never liking anyone. She would make rude comments that left his dates feeling uncomfortable. He stopped bringing introducing them and ended the charade of long-term relationships, limiting to casual encounters within his control. His mother smothered him, needing him within reaching distance. She hovers, pries, and is intrusive.

Janice, worried about losing Luke, but evidently only to Sidney since she gave Jessica the keys to his house allowing her to make herself comfortable. Clueless, manipulative Jessica, never allowing missed opportunities, takes that key as an invitation to shower, wear his clothes and tell Sidney to get lost.

“What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here?” she snipes, grabbing a second towel to wring
out her hair.
“I asked you first, Jessica. What the hell are you doing at Luke’s place…in
his shower?”
“He gave me the key, Sidney.” As if I’m not even standing there, she walks to his dresser and pulls out a t-shirt. Keeping her back to me, she drops the towel and slides the shirt over her naked body.
“He gave you a key? When?”
“The other night when we met up for drinks. He said he was tired of you and ready for some fun. He gave me a key and I’ve been coming here since.”
“You look like you’re going to be sick. Did he not break up with you yet?”
“Sorry, sweetie. Luke’s done with you. We’ve reconnected and want to give it a go. He was just messing around, biding his time with you, and he’s done. Sorry.” Her condescending smirk makes me see red. I’d question her further, but the pain in my lower stomach intensifies on both sides.
I take a step back, needing to put distance between Luke’s ex and myself,
who just so happens to be standing in his bedroom wearing his KISS t-shirt.

His mother:::

“Listen,” she starts as I step into the room. “I know you’re busy tonight,
but I wanted to stop by and say hello. Jessica’s here, and–”
“Mom, what made you think it would be okay to give my ex-girlfriend the key to my house without my consent?”
“She’s such a lovely girl, Luke, and I thought you two would enjoy a nice
evening together.”
“Mom, I need you to listen and listen good. I’m with Sidney. I’m in love
with her,”
“Luke, you don’t know what love is,” she starts to say.
“Do you even hear yourself? I’m twenty-nine years old. Don’t tell me
what I do and don’t know or feel, because I can guarantee you that I do know what love is. I’ve been in love with that girl since I was fourteen years old. I’ve wanted nothing but to spend the rest of my life with her since I met her. You listen to me. I’m a grown adult. I get to say who I date, when, and why. You don’t get to make that decision for me. You’ve been doing it my whole life, and I’m done. I’m so done that I have no problem showing you the door and closing it forever. You’ve been nothing but rude to Sidney since we had dinner together, and that’s unacceptable. It’s unacceptable as a guest to the table, but more importantly, as someone that I love. You want to force me to choose between you and her, is that it? Well, I have news for you, Mom, you’re not going to like my decision. Because it’s her. I will always choose her and our babies.”
“She’s pregnant?”

Out of his diatribe, that is all she gets...”Surprise, Mom! You’re going to be a grandmother again. We’ve known for weeks, but you know what? We didn’t feel like we could tell you. You’ve made it so uncomfortable that we couldn’t even tell you that we were pregnant.”

There is a nice Epilogue that ties the connecting books together. We see Luke and Sidney, Reid and Dani, Blake and Carly, Tara and Scott, Carly’s mother married to Dani’s father, the children and all the other main and secondary characters, that remain connected throughout the years.

Narrated by Luke’s father, Daniel.

Entwined is the third book in the Bound Together series. Each book can be read as standalone but if you have time, I would recommend reading all of them. They are that awesome. If you have read them already then you know Luke as Blake's younger brother and this is his story. And yes...you will also see Reid!

Ten years. It's been ten years since his best friend Sidney had to walk away. Since then he has been in the FBI, spent time with his family, had countless one-night stands, and even a few one week ones. But Sidney was always there in the back of his mind. He had to keep her there or he knew he would never move on. But when he thought of his childhood, she was there. On the night he graduated high school, she was there with force. That night changed him. And now, she was here. In Las Vegas. In this room. Now, she was the only thing he could think about. This isn't like him. But she has always been the one he couldn't deny.

Luke. Her first kiss. Her first crush. Her best friend. He was here. She thought he hot ten years ago but now, he is breathtaking. She has dreamed of those green eyes and killer smiles for years. She didn't want to come home to Vegas but three years ago, she didn't have a choice. She was back. There was only one reason but that reason was everything to her. Now, with Luke walking back into her life, he could be another. But if she remembers right, Luke wasn't the settling type of guy. But, he was a friend that made her want more. Could they be friends again and see where it goes? She as hell hopes so. She couldn't walk away again and not break.

Luke and Sidney's love story is first of all so much fun! It is also beyond hot. But it's not easy. Communication is something that they both need to work on. They both feel the amazing chemistry. Flirty fun. And love spending time together but don't know if the other is ready for more. Luke hasn't done the relationship thing before and Sidney has been burned in the past. Are they ready for a forever kind of love?

I loved this story. Yes. It was sexy but it is more than that. It is also about love, family, friendship, and figuring out where you belong. I laughed so much while reading it. Just wait until you meet Penny the twit. Just wow. Luke and Sidney also made me laugh but Luke's niece Natalie took the cake. That kid is precious. And her dad is something else. I am going to miss all of them! Well...not Penny.

Overall...it's a perfect conclusion to the series. It's a sexy, sweet, and fun read. I can tell Lacey had a fun time writing it. Maybe just as much fun as I had reading it. Thanks for another amazing read, Lacey! Xoxo

Entwined is the third and final book (sniff, sniff) in the Bound Together series by Lacey Black. I'm sad to see all of these characters go, but I'm so glad I got to meet them! I'm a big fan of Lacey's. Her writing always makes me laugh, cry, swoon and laugh some more! We've met Luke before and I always knew he was going to be something special. I love him. I'm claiming him. Luke and his brother Blake are no longer in the FBI. They run a successful security company and Luke is loving life. Women love him and he has no commitments. When he's called to a client's office and sees a ghost from his past, he doesn't know what to do. It's really Sydney. His childhood best friend who moved away ten years ago. He never forgot her and seeing her again brought back all of the memories of the time they shared. Her first kiss. The teasing and pranks, and the fun. Wow, he's missed her. Sydney can't believe Luke is standing in front of her. In the flesh. The handsome, muscular, sexy, flesh. Uh oh, she's in big trouble. She had a crush on Luke when they were kids and now that he's all grown up, she's even more attracted to him. He wants to be friends, but she knows he wants more. She wants more. But, can she just have a fling with him? Will her heart survive? Luke and Sydney have the funniest relationship. It's sweet, hot and fun! Luke is dirty and Sydney loves that about him. There are a few characters that needed to be punched in the junk (male and female), but I was thrilled to see Blake, Carly, Reid, Dani and the kids again. Nat has the best lines in the whole book! Luke and Sydney are just perfect for each other and I'm going to miss all of these characters!

She’s soft and tastes like sugar. She’s everything I remember and everything I crave.

“Oh, don’t be a prude. I think you could use a good fucking against the wall, my friend. You need some tall drink of sex to walk into your life and just pour it to you. It’s great for the confidence. And the complexion.”

This book, Entwined, is the third book in the Bound Together Series. It's my absolute favorite book in the series, edging out Profited (Book 2) by a hair! Lacey just keeps one-upping herself with every single book she writes!

Luke is a self-proclaimed bachelor, not believing he'll find the kind of love that he ALMOST had with his childhood best friend, Sidney, who was forced to leave Vegas suddenly with her Mom after her family imploded, just as the friendship with Luke was starting to change to something more....a LOT more!

After ten long years, Sydney is back (again not by HER choice) when her father's will says she has to work for The Diamond Hotel for five years in order to claim her (and her young brother's) inheritance. When she runs into Luke again, it's almost like they're picking up right where they left things...except there's been a LOT of water passing under that bridge in those ten years! Add in a soon-to-be douchebag ex-husband, a flakey step-mother, a slutty ex-girlfriend, a mother that has her own secrets and some heart shattering misunderstandings to the mix and you have the makings for some angst and drama that will have your heart soaring, beating hard with the suspense and anxiety, lust, anger...and love for two of THE most realistic and lovable characters I have ever had the pleasure to meet!

I can't say enough about this incredible, HOT, sexy love story that will have you sitting in front of a fan to cool off, your panties melting and your heart belonging forever to Luke and Sid! It's a definite MUST READ and I give it 6+ stars!!! I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Goodness me. Where to start? Well, how about this - I finished Entwined in under 8 hours. One glorious weekend sitting of pure, unadulterated and sublime pleasure. I haven't actually read any of the previous books in the Bound Together series, Entwined is book 3, but I definitely will be doing so quick smart. Christ, Lacey Black has really pulled it out of the bag with Luke and Sidney's story. Lacey had me turning pages faster than Usain Bolt on the 100m sprint! Yup... this is a real page turner.

From the get go there is never a dull moment and the storyline is pretty fast-paced. Not in the live action guns and explosions sort of way, but in a heart-racing, blood-pumping, thigh squeezing sort of way. Luke Thomas is definite book boyfriend material. He's physically scrumptious, but he's also got such a beautiful heart and a soul that draws you in so completely. I'm a sucker for this guy... complete goner! And, Sydney, well, Sydney Rogen is just adorable. Feisty... EXTREMELY horny, but adorable and intense - but yet so light and bright. How has Black even managed that? There's just this thing about her that you cannot help but love - she's the ultimate kick-arse girl next door. Lacey Black has created a character that is so wholesome, pure and all round gorgeous and yet, has this super hot and sensual side. Sydney is just beguiling - I can't tell you how many times she brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my mouth.

Remember I said this book is fast-paced? In part, what makes it so is the sex. Lacey Black dives right into it in the epilogue. Yup, aha... she manages to do a first time in a way that's sexy, hot, sensual and completely innocent. I mean, she captures first love like I don't think I've ever seen any author do. Like, I feel bad for my first time... damn... It's like she sets herself a precedent for the rest of the "dirty" action in the book. In fact it's not even just the sex that has you feeling all hot and bothered - that Luke Thomas can kiss... Lacey has managed to do with one kiss what some authors do in an entire anthology of sex scenes. It's not even just the description of the act that gets you off, but it's the emotive pull of the moment that she creates that just completely encompasses you.

Entwined is such a beautiful story of true and everlasting love. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and even when it comes to the end you still feel like your insides are hovering somewhere up there. The moment you turn the last page and are faced with the end, you can't help but feel sad that it's finished - even though the story itself puts such a smile on your face. I'm definitely going to be reading the previous book in the bound together series and then re-reading Entwined. This truly was a magnificent and consuming masterpiece!

5 Stars!

Lacey Black is back and man did she ends the Bound Together series with a bang... giving readers the best of this series yet. Full of heart, heat, and passion, Lacey wrote a beautiful second chance that made me smile, laugh, swoon, and fall head over heels in love.

Entwined is the third book in this series and can be read as a standalone but for maximum impact and enjoyment, I works read the books in order... crossovers tend to happen with these brothers and they are so freaking delicious.

Sexy. Sweet. Suspenseful. Intense. Passionate. Captivating. Enticing. Flirty. Fun. Smart. Serious.

This book was a little of everything that I love in romance. It gave me a great storyline that hooked me from cover to cover and once it was over... man I'm sure gonna miss these guys and gals.

Sidney and Luke.... the best of friends until life tore them apart. It's been ten years and they are face to face again. But now... it's complicated. Both held secret feelings... Both are closed off to loving again but..... life decides to throw them a curveball. Get ready to be swept off your feet and find the true meaning of soul mates rule Sidney and Luke fall madly deeply in love... again.

I highly recommend this book.

Entwined is the third and final title in the Bound Together series. I am a huge fan of Lacey Black, and have read all but two of her works, and I eagerly anticipate the release of her books. I have been waiting for Luke's story after he appeared in the first two titles in this series, and boy it did not dissapoint. This is definitely my favorite of the three titles in this series.

Entwined is Luke Thomas and Sidney Rogen's story. Childhood neighbors and friends who were separated by circumstances out of their control, ten years later they reconnect. Luke is a dirty talking, bachelor alpha. Sidney is sweet, caring and loyal and both suffer from commitment issues. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the love scenes are both sexy and steamy. These characters are completely endearing and realistic and their story is highly entertaining, and captivated my attention right from the very beginning. I literally couldn't put this book down and read the whole thing in one sitting.

Entwined is a sexy, sweet, and fun second chance romance of friends to lovers. Told from a dual point of view entwined is a heartwarming read, balanced out with moments of laughter and also points your heart plummets for what they go through to find a happy ever after.

I absolutely adore books that form a series where previous characters are included within the story line. This is the case with Entwined, and I was so happy to see Carly and Luke, Reid and Danny and their growing families appear within this story line.

I cannot recommend this Entwined enough it's one of my must reads for 2017. I will eagerly await more of Lacey's work.

Entwined
By: Lacey Black

4.5 Star Review by Kristie K

An intense and passionate story of first love, broken hearts, and second chances. Lacey Black takes you to the edge, then shoves you over…

One word…Dayum! Entwined takes us back ten years to when Luke Thomas and Sidney Rogen were best friends, next door neighbors, soul mates. The day she left impacted them both significantly, and in a way neither was prepared for. Seeing each other again after ten years, and a lot of life lived, shakes them both to their core. Unexpected twists, and nefarious dealings force the two together, and this time he’s not letting go. Ms. Black spins a tale of suspense, intrigue, and passion with deftness and natural born talent. The characters were so easy to fall in love with, their development authentic and real. The heartbreak they suffered so young, seared me with a palpable sorrow. The gamut of emotions that swirled around them when they reconnected, sent me into a bevy of feeling. An incredibly well written story, with an excellent plot and well executed storyline. In short, I loved it. From the scorching hot cover, to the outstanding blurb, I was captivated and enthralled with the story of Luke and Sidney.

2 Words LUKE THOMAS!!!
I loved this book and I wish I could give it 100 stars! Definitely there is a style on her writing that I can't explain, Lacey writes romances with the hands of a lover and her heart.
One summer night Sidney left her life, his best friend and the love or her life.
Ten years later and with some plans and the life she never wanted she finds him again. He's not this young boy anymore, he's a man, a sexy and mysterious man that makes her feel things that she never felt before. He has the power to break her.
She decides to get to know his old friend but not put her heart into the game. But he's so hard to resist and Love, lust and passion will be added in the mix.
Luke got a gift one night and he still can't forget that night with his best friend. Life is giving him a chance to get her again and a new gift from her. He's not ready to gave up his life, but he wants her so bad that it's hard to breathe. He has one chance to make this like he wanted 10 years ago. He's scared but his desire is more than his fear. He needs to choose, a life with her or his freedom.
Omg!!! I couldn't stop to read this, seriously one of my best books of this year! The story was amazing! I just not did love Luke but Sidney was amazing!!! I can't wait to read more of this author cause I love her words so hard!

I am soo said that this series is over.... :(

Luke was my favorite from the get go and he continued to be my favorite through the very last word.

Luke and Sidney have known each other since they were kids but lost contact when Sidney moved after her parent's divorce.

Luke has never had the desire or a reason to settle down. After a career in the FBI with his brother, he's now part of the family security business. Imagine his surprise when he sees Sidney after all these years.

Sidney had goals after leaving her best friend and the one man she couldn't forget. Coming back to Vegas was not on that list. Especially under these circumstances.

Can you have your "one that got away" in high school? Is there such thing as "the one" for all of us? Luke didn't buy into that and after watching her parent's marriage, neither did Sidney. What if they were wrong?

Loved this book hard!!! Can't wait for more from Lacey!!

This is book 3 in the bound together series, and its about Luke and Sidney. This was my favorite in the series, we got to see characters from previous books, which is always a bonus for me. Luke was very sweet, and i felt he was quite a calm person considering what we'd seen of him previously and what his thoughts were. Sidney was very gentle and a very likable lead female, but also incredibly strong. This was another top read by one of favorite authors. I would recommend this but make sure you read book 1 and 2 first to get the full background

Absolutely loved Entwined

Entwined by Lacey Black was an awesome read. The entire Bound together series was good, but have to say this book was my favorite. Entwined is the story about Luke and Sidney. They were best friends when they were younger, and grew apart. Their love is explosive, intense, passionate, and sexy.My heart was engaged from the beginning and I felt the genuine joy of the story, the characters, and the setting. The ending was just perfect! A thriller, fast paced and entertaining read.

Hilarious and heartbreaking. I loved book. I'm a big fan of this series. I highly enjoyed this book. It had parts that I was laughing so hard. I don't want to put spoilers but it pulled my and had laughing. The characters as always Lacey's books are developed and highly loveable. I suggest you read the earlier book in the series. But definitely need to grab this one. Love this one. Probably one of my Lacey Black books!

So good

I’m giving this five stars because I absolutely loved Luke and Sidney’s story. I was riveted the whole time and read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. Loved seeing Blake and Carly in this one and highly recommend reading their book too which was fantastic. I will say I hated Luke’s mother in this book. Her meddling wasn’t only over the line, but it almost caused something horrible to happen towards the end.

Amazing

Absolutely loved this series, the love for one another that extends to the entire family, just wow. So worth the read, will truely not be disappointed. To read of a Mother’s love that annoys her boys, then to find out the heartache that caused it, cuts deep and gives you the answers and explains why. Truely captivating. Love it !!!

I really enjoyed this book. I found it annoying reading about Luke’s mum interfering. In saying that though the whole story was amazing and I loved the way Luke pulled rank on his mum and Jessica and how Sidney ended up with her brother living with her. I also loved how it tied up the whole series. Definitely a great read!

At first I thought “Another one just like the others,” but I was proven wrong. I truly enjoyed reading this book and Sidney and Luke’s story. The second epilogue gave me everything that I wanted to know about the others in a condensed telling, however, I wouldn’t mind a few more stories giving more details. Definitely something I would enjoy reading.

I was given this ARC for an honest review.

Wow!! This is Luke's story and a second chance romance at that. Let me start off saying I loved Blake's story & oh how he made me swoon. After getting a little more of Luke he jumped leaps & bounds in front of Blake.

Sidney & Luke were childhood friends. They never really got together as teenagers due to Sidney moving away her senior year. Sidney has a hard time with the move but eventually is doing well until she isn't. Typical story vulnerable girl falls for wrong guy & figures it out too late. She runs into Luke again years later as she is working hard to set her life straight. Luke works his sexy swooniness to get the girl to fall for him & keep her! Luke & Sidney have one sexy hot chemistry filled relationship. Wonderfully written HEA!!!

Luke Thomas & Sidney Rogen.

Brothers Blake and Luke Thomas are now out of the FBI running their own security firm in Vegas. Blake and Carly are married with their first date surprise baby and another on the way.

Luke is still pining for the girl who got away, his high school bestie who, 10 years passed, is all grown up and back in Vegas working in one of the hotels that the brothers do security for.

Ever since I was old enough to figure out what that thing in my pants was used for, I’ve felt a reaction to Sidney. She was my first kiss, my first real crush, and my first wet dream.

And on the day she left, at 17.

I’m clearly hallucinating here, because there is no way Sidney–sweet, innocent, beautiful little Sidney–asked me to take her virginity. No fucking way in hell.

“I can see you trying not to freak out right now, but you need to know that I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t trust you completely. It has to be you, Luke.” Her aqua eyes find mine once again, searching and pleading with me. Those damn eyes are my undoing. “Please?”

That one word seals my fate, and she knows it. I’ve never been able to tell her no, deny her anything when she looks at me with those big doe eyes and says that one little word: please.

Sidney’s now deceased father owned the hotel, but her simple inheritance is mudded by her father’s second wife and some odd stipulations that require her to work at the hotel under said step mother.

“There was a clause in the inheritance that the only way Jacobi or I get our share was if I came back and worked at the hotel for five years. Jacobi is supposed to complete college–business school, of course–and then must return to the hotel to man the throne with his mother, or Mick, in the absence of Penny. But she’s not going anywhere. She wants the hotel too much,” she says without the hardness in her voice. It’s like she’s accepted her fate, and that’s that. “It’s a package deal. We must both complete the clause or neither of us wind up with anything.”

I LOVED Luke and Sidney's story. Friends to lovers with a twist of being separated for years. Add in angst and an accidental pregnancy and you will not be able to put this down. Such an amazing book!!

So I enjoyed the over stories but the books were just a little odd compared to other books I've read by the author.
Not odd in a bad way, more like it felt like these might have been written earlier and not as polished as others I've read.
So I enjoyed the series overall but I probably wouldn't re-read. I think fans of her work will like it and her books are always KU which I greatly appreciate.
