Sinner
VOLUME ONE + TWO OF SINNER. The Sinara Academy competition is the center of attention once again. A young Sinner, Zayden, with his motives and dreams on his mind, will enter along with all the participants that appear. Each participant comes in with their own powers and goals they wish to accomplish. The tension as they progress through each stage with friendships, rivalries, and mysteries created at the same time, the competition is a grand event that cannot be missed. With all the back stories following the participants and Sinegious, how will everything turn out?

I was excited to give this story a try because the concept sounded both interesting and really cool, and I have to say it has great potential. The characters are diverse, and the beginnings of their developmental arcs hold promise; I particularly enjoyed the mystery surrounding Kaesar and Soro. The pacing was decent with plenty of action to keep it moving. I read about 80% of it in one sitting.
That said, I have to admit that it read like a first draft. Without getting nit-picky: it needs serious editing, both story-wise and for technicalities like typos, grammar, and formatting. These would improve the story and its comprehension exponentially.
Despite that, it ended at a good spot for provoking interest in the following volume. I still want to know what happens now. It has the makings of a great series, but like with Zayden and Reno, it needs more work to reach its peak.
