Collection of essays about history of Hyderabad by Lokeswar. Get to know how the weird names of the localities have arised like A.C Gaurds, Nampalli etc etc and lot of trivia.
The book is informative, however the writing style of Author tries you. He jumps from Standard text book telugu to telangana accent to deccani words to old hindi songs .... with so many jumps in the style, it become difficult to focus.
And the author's enthusiasm to introduce archaic urdu words is tiresome, on top of it, he has the pessimistic views on the present world and keep expressing that humanity is lost and is very much alive in those days.
It could have been if they had incorporated map points in the book along with the photographs. Good book !!
