To face him, they must master a hopelessly complex spell they can only learn from their legendary mentor, Anna Atticus Stone. But with a kingdom hurtling toward annihilation, Anna Stone’s health failing, and relationships crumbling under the stress, the trio face the most painful decisions of their lives. Legend is a very appropriate and satisfying conclusion to this series. Throughout the book, I kept asking myself “How on earth are these three going to do this?!” Any book that provokes a physical reaction like a gasp, shudder, or smile is an excellent book, and I found myself doing all three frequently.

While holding to a given fantasy formula, the adventures and problems faced are still exciting. The solutions were, however, my favorite part. The heroes and their friends come up with clever solutions that are very entertaining to follow. And between these adventures, you have characters bantering, insulting, hugging, being teenagers; being normal people.

I completely recommend Legend, as well as the entire Arinthian Line series, for anyone who enjoys a classic epic fantasy story.

This is not one of those fantasy series written by first time authors that get published electronically. This series is on par with Jk Rowling and George Rr MArtin type of writing. I cannot implore you enough to start Arcane the first book in the series today. As for Legend it did not disappoint. There are no literary holes in the store. It was a fitting and well earned conclusion for the trio and to the series. I was distraught thinking I would never visit Sithesia and Augum,Bridgett and Leera again , but I have since learned Mr. Bronny is just getting started in this world. Fantasy is much better for it!!!! Another great author is born.

I wanted to like this book series so much but honestly I was bored. Usually when I read fantasy books, I look for new ideas or good interpersonal relationships. On both fronts, the series fell short. I wanted the book to spend more time on properly explaining the magic system or history of the world, history behind the spells, and the races. Most of the spells are brushed over. They are powerful because they are "ancient spells" or they are "off-the-shelf spells". To be fair, most fantasy books have the same problem, except for Brandon Sanderson's.

If that can't be done, I would like to see either witty and funny dialogues between characters or reflective internal monologues which demonstrate the logic behind their course of action. I don't think it's done well here. I was frustrated with Augum and Leera's teenage drama instead. I was also bored reading about their quests. Quests usually have clearly defined goals and almost always, the goals are achieved and done with. There are no twists or surprise about them.

Towards the ending, the crisis was resolved in a predictable way. And I found it a bit too easy and anti-climatic, especially when they were still completely hopeless in the first 4 books. Maybe it's the problem of pacing as well. They were only able to perform 5th (or 6th?) degree spells at the end of book 4.

Overall they are well-written books. The characters are good enough, the story bounces along just fine...But there's nearly nothing really striking.

I began this 5 book series over the summer after I sent a copy of the first book to my son at overnight camp. I bought it, and a few others, solely based on Amazon reviews as a care package for him. My son came home from camp raving about the first volume, so I read it and was surprised to find a compelling story, strong characters, and an overall enjoyable read. I was hooked, and since then my son and I have read each book, purchasing this last volume of the series right after it was published.

Let me just say that here in the US, things have changed since this summer, and we find ourselves in strange and unfamiliar territory. This book is based in deep wisdom and in it I found so much strength and joy. It helped me and gave me hope. It reaffirmed that mistakes are a natural part of humanity, and can be a set back, but can also be overcome. It helped me understand that working together with love is really where strength lies. It is a powerful book that does all that. And I can't help but think that if it worked on that level for me as an adult, it will also work that way for many teens and preteens.

Thank you, Sever Bronny, for telling us that truth, love, deep friendship and hard work will win against evil every time. We may have to make some sacrifices to get there, but good will prevail. I look forward to the next trilogy.

The best book of the series by far, and an epic conclusion.

The story was quite simply awesome. Knowing that there was a sequel series in no way spoiled this work. Thankfully having read the reviews and finding out that this series existed save me from spoiling a great read. This is a third person limited coming of age series that really only covers a year in the life of our hero and his friends. All aspects of the story come together without too much of a hitch at all. In the previous books they had always been something that kept the story from being five star for me. Also as this book reached its conclusion it explained a little more of that awkward beginning to the series that was the first quarter of the first book. It was actually quite satisfying and I'm very glad to have read the series and looking forward to reading the next book of the new series.

For the conclusion of the series the story was well-paced and continued to build up momentum until reaching a frenzied page turning in. There is action all across the book. There was a strong focus on the friendship and love the trio has for each other their friends as well as the introduction of some new an interesting characters who were introduced I think in part so that we get to see them in this series before they continue on to the next.

Reaching the last page of the book I found that I was both satisfied and left wanting more. Thankfully we get to continue on the journey with the survivors on the series in the new series. The story finally reached a balanced in that all parts of it seem to be aimed at the same age group or set of genre fans. That is to say young adults and lovers of epic fantasy. This series is available on Kindle unlimited but it's well worth the price should you choose to purchase it.

I will say that for those who have read quite a bit into series like this one you can tell where the ride is going but he is still enjoyable.

This was amazing. I am pleased with the ending, very much so. You need to read the other 4 books and then read this book.

I can't say much without spoiling this. I also can't say much negative here. I can only say that I basically cried FROM SHEER BUILDUP. Yes. I didn't cry from sadness. I cried from intense emotion about the pressure and the action and that it just made me FEEL something powerful about how important the whole thing was. It wasn't a lot of crying but a tear or two counts right?

Ok go read it and enjoy. Let's talk AFTER you're done. :)

This was a satisfying end to the series. Not overly predictable, but the outcome I did expect.
The pacing in this book was good, much better than in Clash, the teenage drama dialed down to a minimum and a focus on the important parts without getting lost in side quests. Battles were packed with action and therefore very exciting. I couldn't stop reading once the final battle got started!

However, I do have some gripes.
I'm generally drawn to magic universes where there is at least some theory and logic applied to the magic (see for example the books of Brandon Sanderson). Just so every plot twist where magic saves the day doesn't feel like a ploy to validate the unlikely success of the protagonists. In this series, spells like "The Spell" and scions to augment powers felt like giant deus ex machinas.
The arcane stamina drain and recuperation periods were rather inconsistent. I know they were improving as warlocks, but this didn't make a whole lot of sense.
The use of "my love" by a bunch of fifteen year olds didn't fit their characters or the story at ALL.
The knowledge of invisibility spells also seemed to be non-existent by the antagonists, which is rather weird since they all were normal warlocks once.

Anyway, despite the logical inconsistencies, this book was still quite the entertainment. I wouldn't recommend it to high/epic fantasy fans who love a good worldbuilding book, but if you loved Harry Potter, you will definitely enjoy this.

The series ended without losing its interesting, individual flair. There was constant action, there weren't any gaping plot holes, and there were some good characters.

That being said, I felt like this and the 4th book were a little forced. Ideas and internal conflicts, plus things that we've known for the past five books (like Mrs. Stone's name) get repeated *a lot*. That pitfall tends to bother me more in audiobook than as a physical book because I can't skip over the repeats, so despite the narrator's fantastic voice I think this would only be a reread for me as a physical book. Then again, that wasn't the only pet peeve. The teen angst that was way too prolific in this book didn't lend anything to the actual story, and it kept going on, which got on my nerves. 14-year-old immaturity in romance is just really, really not enjoyable to read.

The majority of the book would be perfectly fine for 12+. But that's in the majority. It's a little more action-packed than previous books (though I think it's a little better than 4th book) - not terrible, but something to be aware of. There's some heavier swearing, and that teen angst thing going on. I would say from the romance side of things 15+; there's nothing graphic or anything, but I wouldn't want to give a 14-year-old a book about 14-year-olds who are infamous among their companions for constantly 'making out'.

Enjoyable story, unenjoyable story elements.

I have to admit that this final book of the series was worth going through the rest of them. I give this book 5 stars because of the story itself. I like how the author is constantly challenging going the characters and they truly have to work together to succeed. That said, it took until the very end of this book for me to really connect and root for the characters. I felt like they were flat and like something was missing. My husband pointed out to me that because of their ages, they are actually written pretty accurately. I was like, man these characters are petty and immature but truly, they are 15 so... What are you going to do?

This is a pretty good read. It was different from a lot of fantasy books I have read which I appreciate. I love the old mentor and growing through difficulties. I also really enjoyed parts of the world, like the mourning ceremony and magical rooms that are much more than they appear from outside.

As with the rest of the books in this series, I don't like the outright cruelty via words that comes from some characters to others. I understand that some people are like that but it really was overkill sometimes. I think that was my biggest con on this series along with just a lot of teenage drama but hey... Otherwise, I would still recommend the series. Enjoy.

Eloquently Beautiful!!!!

Truth be told the Arinthian Line series is definitely among my favorite series. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My personal taste in reading have always been action, adventure stories seasoned with a love story. And this series did exactly that. But as for this book specifically, I always have high hopes for the final book in a series. And Legend definitely did not disappoint. To have traveled with the characters Augum, Bridget, and Leeds from little saplings to the legends they are now was definitely a FANTASTIC journey indeed. From Book 1 to Book 5 the story gets better and better. Admittedly I was getting worried, because the final battle happens so late in the book that I thought it would end up highly underwhelming, but worry not for its nothing like that. The epic battle deliveries shivers, grasps, edge of your seat action as the gauntlet is thrown down. I actually give this book (and series) a 4.9 as it really needs some dragons to achieve that perfect 5.0 but thats just me. There are no words for how excited I am for the upcoming extended trilogy!!! Maybe there will be some dragons, ine can only hope. But if youre into magic, DEFINITELY PICK THIS SERIES UP. WILL HAVE YOU WISHING YOU WERE A WARLOCK AS WELL!!!!!!

A great series of books. I thought the impending doom was quite well displayed as wel as the difficulties of the obstacles, portraying quite the impossible task. Yet every time again when they tackle one such obstacle it was done in a way that I found believable even if it should have been impossible. From previous books I found that this is not that easy to do so it really pulled me in and I must say, the finales of the books did deliver :) On the other hand, one thing that annoyed me was the young age of our friends, I would have preferred it for them to be a bit older to make it a bit more relatable or mature I guess. Although their inexperience in life was wel portrayed and good for the story at times, now and then I found it annoying (even if it were normal reactions). The good thing about it all is that it gives ample amounts of character development!

All in all a very good series and I look forward to see what he can do with the next trilogy with an older version of our heroes. 4.5/5

This book is about Augum Stone defeating his father, Lividious stone, or the lord of the legion. The legion army has reigned terror on Solia and its up to Augum to defeat it. Augum infuriates his father by burning the body of his mother, whos last wish was to not be reincarnated in the form of the undead. Augum then defeats his father in an epic duel in the bottom of a castle. He then attends the academy of Arcane arts because it was always his dream.

This book is great, and thats why I rated it a five out of five. It is very intense, and is never boring. It id also very humerous, as it is a group of teenagers who can not leave there drama behind. I recommend this book to people who get very bored and hate long and borng books that are not exciting. It is a great book and I hope you enjoy it!

This series is so familiar but so new and creative. The arcanery (magic if you're a newb) system in this series is so simple but leaves so much room for growth that it never gets boring. Arinthian Line can go toe-to-toe with a series like Percy Jackson easy. The characters are well thought out, every growing, and extremely interesting. The only thing that sometimes gets a tad annoying is that they are constantly having to submit to some type of bullying until the get tired and rise up which is empowering but gets old. Overall I reccomend this series to ANYONE that enjoys magic, friendship, and silently crying to themselves as they say goodbye to beloved characters.

Great conclusion to a torrential story

I could not put this series down til I was finished and I'm looking forward to starting the next series for Augum. Torrential is the best word to describe this series as it is action packed and quick paced. The flood of characters in this last book was a little overwhelming. But I think trying to focus on all the characters is what brought out Augum's character to the readers. The romance was very cheesy, many times. However, I determined this series is for younger readers who may not find the romance so cheesy. Overall, I'm very thankful for this series. Thank you Sever Bronny.

Diminished the sanctity of arcane mastery, but made the final fight and overall storyline more intersting. The power scaling during the fight was also getting pretty out of hand, but I guess it's because of a lack of exposure to the power of the . And hey, I'm a spiritual guy, I kinda believe love and compassion to be truly transcendental forces, but the fact that they were strong enough to was kinda ridiculous. However, the entire 600 page bulidup to the final fight as well as the tying up of loose ends in the aftermath was really the best in the series, so I can't in good conscience rate the whole thing lower.

Great series. Kept me up reading well past bedtime several times

A great adventure. They learn and grow over time and the successes are hard won. Likewise their losses are plentiful and painful. A strong story where the good guys have to work for their wins. Things don't come easily and they aren't just handed the answers. I'll share it with my kids when I think they're old enough not to give themselves nightmares about all the evil undead villans. But you have to have convincing baddies or you won't be invested in the good guy's struggles. It works, and it works well.

Amazing

If you're still here by the 5th book, then I really don't have to explain how ridiculously good this series is. Cannot wait for the next adventures of the Heroic Trio. Since this is supposed to be a review, I will say that is final book wraps up the series nicely. When I say that, I mean that the plot was finished logically and was satisfying to read despite the fact that everything isn't perfect for our heroes in the end. OK. Business done. More gushing. AMAAAAAAAAZZIIIINGGGG series. That is all.

A fantastic ending to an amazing adventure! Or is it just the beginning?

You have got to read this series it is by far one of the best I have ever read, and I read a lot. Augum, Leera, and Bridget, face difficulties as they face the end of their journey, but they do triumph over evil. I can't put these books down once I start reading them. Luckily, I have a new book that starts a new journey for Augum, so I have to start reading it now! Thank you, Mr. Bronwyn, I hope you write a dozen more books about these characters.

Could not put down

From the beginning to end this book was a Compelling read. Over the course of the series I have absolutely fallen in love with the characters. A lot of the time you can just about guess where a plot line is taking you. This was so refreshingly different from book 1 through 5. Thank you Sever Bronny for writing this wonderful series. I absolutely can not wait for their future adventures!

I’m speechless. I’m not usually one that goes crazy over combat or battle scenes, but the finale of this book was incredible. The complexity of the final battle was beyond. The whole book (and the previous books) built so many concepts up, and created an addictive experience. Spirit form, cron, and reflect all worked together to create the craziest reading experience. I can’t wait to read the next series!

Wonderful Story

This series kept my interest up. The characters were well built and the storyline was well told. Of course my main complaint about this genre is that the hero or heroine always finds their true love a chapter into the book. I think his one lasted a little longer..... :-)

Amazing series.

There are only a few books that I will read over and over. This series is definitely one of them. The characters are well thought out, and are relatable. The plot twists and turns throughout, yet still comes together perfectly. Altogether the series keeps me wanting more. Can not wait to begin the next book.

great series beginning to end

I loved this series… from beginning to end. The characters are very interesting and you cheer for them and cry with them throughout the books. I just wish it didn’t have to end.
I would have enjoyed reading more of what happened after the Legion War such as who became king and queen. Etc…. So much more to write

This was truly an amazing series. I read many fantasy novels and how refreshing it was to read a series that was so well planned, unpredictable and engaging. The twists, turns and world-building were excellent and cannot wait to read more from this very talented author.
Definitely encourage you to give this a go.
