This is a Standalone Novel In a world of uncertainty, economic collapse and a breakdown of law and order, the fight for survival is all too real. Several months after the EMP struck, life as Detective Sarah Blackman knew it, has changed. Forced to make difficult decisions with a young child in tow, Sarah’s life is now a constant battle for survival in this land of diminishing morals and devastating consequences. The duo is quickly running out of basic necessities and know they won’t survive much longer without them, so they embark on a journey to the Great Lakes area in hopes of obtaining fresh water and an ample food supply to sustain them. Their journey will bring them face-to-face with degenerates and unsavory survivors. New choices will have to be made in order to secure their safety, but will those choices ultimately lead to their demise? Who can they trust in a land filled with opportunists and scoundrels?
First off, it's very vague on background and character details are certainly lacking.
So let me get this straight. A motorcycle gang is chasing them for no real good reason. And when they are caught twice they are not beaten, raped, or killed. Real kind and gentle apocalypse.
I loved in Alaska for 32 years and everything he wrote about wolves and their behavior is laughable guesswork on the author's part. I quit reading this worthless piece of crap after wasting my time on 3/4 of it.
The only reason I have it one star is because you are required to in order to submit a review. It really deserves none.
So be warned. Avoid this book and anything written by this clown in the future. If enough people reject his childish efforts at writing maybe, just maybe, he will move on to a profession he is certainly better suited for............Wearing a paper bag and asking if you want fries with your order.
I thought it was a good twist on the Apocalypse. Characters were solid I would have liked more details and more use of resources. I really enjoyed the absence of foul language. Thanks mark for the great entertainment.
